This was a great find and excellent value for a one star hotel. It is a family run business who are extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable with air conditioning. There is a shaded courtyard for breakfast which is a lovely place to sit and eat the included breakfast which is plentiful, tasty and with unlimited good coffee. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach but this makes it a very quiet hotel for sleeping I would definitely stay here again when I’m next in Cambrils

Very clean and comfortable room, Friendly staff, Pet friendly and without extra charges for our 4 legged family member. Restaurant, economical with a good choice, they really overfilled us. Continental buffet breakfast was probably the best we have ever had. We will definitely stop there on our next trip to Italy. Super value for money. 5 mins to the motorway.

We had an awesome time and want to say a huge big thank you and well done to the management and staff for such a pleasant stay.you all work very hard to make Best Cambrils an excellent hotel. Im a trained chef and hotel manager and my partner works in the public service, so we know a thing or two about food and service, so here's our review : Our accommodation was very good. Very clean, lovely comfortable beds ( two double beds) with excellent pillows, we googled the label and they are £25 each! Lovely bathroom with powerful shower over the bath, think the shower head had a pump in it as it was lovely and powerful and the water was lovely and hot.we got fresh towels every day and shower gels and shampoos and soaps. The room had a fridge and it worked very well. We also had a digital safe that worked well. The balcony we had was massive overlooking the pool and had a lounger and two chairs. Lovely.we had a good tv in the room but only put it on for music when getting ready for dinner. The food in the restaurant was excellent.we were fully inclusive so Breakfast started with blue yummy cava ( there was pink and also white) , as much as you wish for.Good coffee from bean to cup machine, fresh orange juice or pineapple. The cold buffet had a lovely selection of cold meats and cheeses, three different youghurts in big bowls and individual fromage fraise. There were three or four different cereals and lots of lovely crusty brown seeded bread and croissants, pastries and biscuits. The hot breakfast was delicious, consisting of boiled eggs, lovely thin bacon rashers, beautiful chicken, beef or pork sausages, scrambled eggs, tomatoes, aubergine, beans, chips ( for those who couldnt wait till dinner time! ). There was also a service area for omelettes and fried eggs made to order. There was also an area set aside for guests with special dietary requirements. All in all, excellent breakfasts every day. The service in the restaurant was excellent. If you needed a table cleared, we just asked politely and it was done.staff were very polite and all worked very hard. Never once did we see staff standing chatting. The dining area was bright and clean and comfortable and the head chef and management were always visible in the room checking the food and service.excellent. Lunches were as good as dinner with a selection of paellas, roast chicken, pork, beef, lovely little whole fish fried in batter, salad bar, vegetables, pizza cooked fresh out of the oven, fish and burgers cooked to order etc. Each lunch time we had a btl of rose wine, from the local area and very good.As we went fully inclusive, this was a lovely treat for us. Dinners were also very good, stir frys cooked to order in front of you, same with fish, meats and burgers. Lovely crispy pizzas fresh out of oven.Lovely paellas, pork, chicken, fish, veg.etc. Lovely big salad bar and lots of lovely breads and savoury dishes.Lots of choice for all tas

We stayed here in October 2019 as a family occupying 3 adjacent rooms. All rooms had a pool/sea view and were immaculate, with the maids cleaning the rooms every day. The hotel is situated right on the excellent, clean beach... couldn't be better. Some previous reviews have comments in them about the hotel not being British friendly.... we did not experience this. Best Maritim is an international hotel with guests from across Europe, therefore they do their best to cater for everyone. We enjoyed the food, one of our party being a bit choosy and one a vegetarian, we found something every night and on the whole enjoyed every meal. Yes, you do pay for your drinks on an evening dinner service, but just get yourself some sangria and enjoy! Manuel and his staff work extremely hard... give them a smile and a gracias... They deserve it. If you want roast beef and a British hotel... go to Blackpool....OR...go to Best Maritim... get stuck in with everyone else and have a really good holiday as we did.... Muchas gracias Best Maritim

My wife, daughter (18) and myself decided to visit Portaventura at Halloween this year. We have been coming to Salou for about 18 years but never at this time of year so we did not quite know what to expect. We always stay at Salauris Palace so we wanted to stay in the same area. We booked into the Belvedere and decided not to do a comparison but look at it on it`s own merits. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly, helpful and busy. Breakfast was quite busy on our first few mornings but if you queued up for your eggs/ omelettes first and added your other food later, it was fine. Evening times were similar with the staff very busy trying to clear tables. It was obvious that the staff were struggling to cope with the number of people and some foods were running out as they could not keep them coming quickly enough. Full marks to them for trying to keep up and still smile!. The pool area was kept spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the hotel. a lifeguard was on duty everyday from 10a.m until 5 p.m . The Bar staff were friendly and courteous. We were able to book a late check out until 5 p.m very reasonably for 15 euros, this was excellent as check out time is 10 a.m and we weren`t due to be collected until 17.50. Some of the main food dishes were not very appetising for British tastes, however there was always something else to choose from and we never went hungry. The rooms were small , however we had 3 beds in the room and managed.Thin walls mean it was quite noisy.

My wife and I booked this hotel through Jet2 as we were visiting our son who lives nearby but doesn't have room for us in his apartment. The hotel is one block back from the sea front road. It is a nice, very quiet area so for us it was perfectly placed. When we arrived registration took some time because there was only one receptionist on duty and there were four parties to be booked in. After paying the new Spanish tax we asked about a safe in our room and were surprised to be told it is €5 per day, this is much more expensive than we had paid before. There is a €20 deposit for pool towels. We went to our room and this is the best part of this hotel. The rooms are massive and well equipped. The bathroom is lovely with a walk in shower which has a separate drying area in it. There isn't a bath. The balcony has two chairs but no table. There is a flat screen TV but only Sky International News and CNN in English. Cleaning and so on were very good. The problems lie with the rest of the hotel. There are no tea or coffee making facilities. We hadn't realised the hotel was so small, I guess around 60 rooms hence the single receptionist. We recognise we were there near the end of the season and noted the pool bar would be closed but there was no bar open in the hotel at all. There is a large room opposite reception which has a pool table, table tennis table and table football in it but as far entertainment in the hotel, that was it. As a result there was never anyone about in the reception area or the seating area nearby do the place felt soulless. One other resident described it as a hostel. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis. We found breakfast to be poor. The dining room has a big support pillar about 18 inches from the front of the buffet. Tables are set right up to the pillar so movement access is very limited. All of the residents and staff need to get through this space to get access to the budget, or in the case of the staff to stock it. On our first two days the breakfast was chaotic. There is a reasonable range of food available but the variety within the range is limited. For example pineapple and melon one day and watermelon with pineapple the next . I think this is due to limited space as much as anything else. Food ran out and the TWO (excellent and very helpful) members of staff on duty were rushed off their feet. All of the tables had dishes stacked on them, it was most unsatisfactory. My wife complained to the manager and extra staff were brought in. The service did improve but the layout is not ideal. I have no idea how they cope when the hotel is full in peak season. Outside there is a small pool but not enough sun beds for the people there and no tables. There is a spa but we didn't use it however it seemed to have limited opening hours. All in all this was disappointing. The hotel says it is 4*. Personally I do not feel this is accurate. Compared to other 4* hotels in Spain I don't think this is a 4*. I think Spain simply
