|2.26km from city centerFrom the moment I arrived (2am) until the moment I left it was very nice. Arriving early in the morning the receptionist was welcoming and made it easy. My phone charger wasn't working so they let me use one while eating breakfast. They were helpful with directions, it wasn't a problem arranging taxis. The hotel is very clean and warm and even smelt good. The shower was amazing with running hot water. A mall across the road including a supermarket.

|0.76km from city centerWe picked this hotel for the location and great reviews. The location is good, but the customer service at the front desk is very bad. First, at checkin they could not find my reservation until I provided a printed copy. Then the person replies “Oh, you booked thru the website.” Like that’s different from the usual way??? I don’t know. We go to our room, it’s nice, but the lamp on one side only works if you find the correct position for the cord. We see a bracket on the ceiling for a smoke alarm, but no smoke alarm. The safe in the closet is locked. On our way out to dinner, we stop at the front desk and ask them to unlock the safe while we are out to dinner. He says he will do it ‘right away’. I also ask about laundry service, and the front desk person says there is a price sheet in the closet. We thank them and leave for dinner. We return to our room after dinner. Safe is still locked. The guy at the front desk sees us return, and suddenly remembers he was going to unlock our safe “right away.” He comes up, unlocks the safe and leaves. There are no instructions to set a code, and setting a code is different from safes I’ve used in other hotels. I look for the laundry price list. Nope, nowhere in the closet. I hike back down to the front desk and try to explain there is no laundry price sheet in the closet. He follows me back up to the room, looks in every drawer in the closet. No price sheet. He tracks one down for me. Yes, these are minor inconveniences, and they were addressed (finally) but at unnecessary inconvenience to us. Thus the 3 star review. Hope other guests have a better experience than I did in my first two hours at this hotel.

|0.64km from city centerI absolutely loved my stay at this beautiful hotel located near the San Sebastian neighborhood. Quaint and charming in a wonderfully restored mansion converted to what is essentially a bed and breakfast. I stayed 6 nights and then another night on my return to Cuenca. Both rooms were clean, comfortable, with quality mattresses, good pillows, plenty of hot water and thick, sumptuous towels. Breakfast was fruit, eggs, roll, cheese, juice, coffee and yoghurt with muesili with variations each day. Maria was amazing and went out of her way to ensure i had a good stay, as did the remaining staff. I have nothing but good things to say about my stay here.

The location of the hotel is the best, you are two steps away from cuenca old town, in front of the river, you cross the river through the multiple bridges and bam you are in the downtown cuenca. The hotel is beautiful, rooms, terrace, everything.

The hotel is a family hotel opened by local residents, has a beautiful garden, about 6 rooms. Not far from the door is the creek and creekside park through Liucunka. There are supermarkets around and about 15 minutes walk from the old town of Cuenca. The room was very comfortable, especially the boss family was very enthusiastic, his son spoke English very fluently, the proprietress was very warm to the guests and the service was thoughtful. If we come back, we will definitely stay at this hotel!

|3.17km from city centerAfter a stressful drive from Guayaquil, we arrived to friendly, welcoming staff, delicious snacks, and hot tea. In our room there was a personalized card from the general manager and a beautiful spread of desserts. The hotel also went out of their way to accommodate a playpen and blanket for our 7 month old which she surprisingly slept amazingly in every night. We were able to see the river from our window which was very peaceful. The hotel is very quiet and relaxing. Although it was a short trip, we truly enjoyed our stay at Oro Verde Cuenca and are already planning our return!

The staff although friendly and smiley, even hospitable, is absolutely abandoned by management and let them to tackle maintenance issues improvising and making up excuses for the collapsing infrastructure of the hotel. NO HOT or even Warm water!!! That’s right l, the 4 star hotel had issues with their water heating systems and for a couple hours they were givings a run a round and not directly telling us that we checked in for our 13 night stay at a hotel advertised as one if the best, which really deliver one of the worst. Again, the staff tried their best, I must mention Santiago, who when out if his way to make our family comfortable, and yet, in the absence of a manager on duty, at a hotel occupied to full capacity, NO MANAGER or duty. Do not pay Zahir this much money for even a night. You will be sorry.

Breakfast is varied. The staff is very friendly. The hotel is very comfortable and is very comfortable and comfortable. There is a mini-smoking in and safe in each room. |2.39km from city centerSuperb smart city hotel with good facilities and decent size rooms with all you need. Clean and polished look. Perhaps could do with a few more decorations in the room. Heater was great at drying wet clothes. I do miss curtains at hotel windows but black out blind works very well. Nice rain shower too. Hotel is close to a shopping centre as a bonus. Good location to visit Cuenca centre as well as out of town highlights. Excellent 10th floor pool and jacuzzi. Plus steam and exercise room. Great views of the city from here. Restaurant not big but people spill out to the seating area just outside near reception. Nice big breakfast selection as well as evening meal. Bar is small ish but has all you need. Seating nearby. Be good if bar was away from the main doors but not end of the world. Good views of the city on this level too. Pleasant and helpful staff.

|0.72km from city centerTiene execelente ubicación, está cerca del centro histórico por lo que no tendrás que gastar en transporte si ese es el punto central de tu visita. Junto al hotel hay un mercado y mucho comercio incluyendo farmacias por si necesitas artículos de primera necesidad o medicinas. Mi habitación era espaciosa, contaba con una mini sala, un escritorio y un mini refrigerador. Además en closet encontrás colcha(manta), extra en caso de que te dé mucho frío. Allí mismo tendrás, toallas, jabón y shampoo, eso sí, te recomiendo llevar o comprar tu propio acondicionador. La atención fue excelente, sobre todo las señoras de la limpieza y la comida, siempre amables. A mí reservación le incluí desayuno, es un desayuno continental, con café, huevos, yogurt, jugo y pan. Sumando cosas positivas, el hotel deja abierto el salón del desayuno (incluye balcón) para que la gente pueda acceder a café o a su distinta variedades de té 24H, además en el salón hay tazas platos, copas y microondas que también puedes usar en caso de necesitarlo a cualquier hora.
