The rich and varied breakfast makes the daily price more valuable. The room is also very nice. I just missed a heated swimming pool because the pool area is cool, but it is impossible to get in, it's too cold! For BH hotels, heating will be a big difference.

I checked in prior to arriving ‘because it would save time’ I was told on my email...errr, no it won’t, so don’t waste yours. The receptionist didn’t speak English. Well that’s ok because we’re not Brazilian and no other hotel speaks English either and we managed but Ibis states they do, so it’s a bonus. And in Vitoria everyone spoke English and were so helpful. There was someone in the office who came out and said in English we’d have to wait. After 15 mins waiting for the people in front to be sorted, the English speaking person came out and started checking us in. I explained that I’d done this online. Was told it didn’t matter, he still had to do it. Breakfast, that was a fiasco. We’d paid for this so went into the restaurant to be told we needed something. What? Tokens...the receptionist didn’t really believe we weren’t given them at check in. Breakfast: stale bread, stale cake, flies on food. The taxis outside are intimidating and take up all the space outside restricting you getting another lift from elsewhere. On leaving, all the vehicular entrances and exits were obstructed by several coaches unloading children. Would I recommend this one? No! There’s another couple in belo Horizonte to choose from.

Os quartos são absurdamente grandes (3 aparelhos de ar por unidade), com dois banheiros completos. Camas bem confortáveis e banheiros também. Área de lazer impecável, com uma piscina com uma vista surreal de BH. A localização maravilhosa: verde mar, Araújo, Smart Fit e restaurantes há poucos passos de distância. Única coisa mais ou menos é o café. Ele nunca mudou. Fiquei a primeira vez lá em abril de 2022 e voltei exatamente um ano depois e o café é exatamente o mesmo. Suco de laranja artificial, pães não tão frescos. Mas cappuccino nota 1000!

Banheiro é simples, não espere secador de cabelo, nem espelho de aumento, nem que a água esquente rapidamente. O quarto não tem vista. Sobre barulho em relação a rua não dava pra ouvir nada fiquei no 914 porém, outros hóspedes que suponho estarem bêbados ficaram conversando tão alto por muito tempo de madrugada próximo meu quarto que não consegui dormir. Tem uma penteadeira fofa. Tem mantinha no armário, o cheiro não é nada agradável só que senti frio e acabei usando. Tem frigobar e ar condicionado daqueles mais antigos. Pela localização, valeu a pena a experiência.

Besides the furniture of the room are old. There is a excess of bureaucracy in the reception with RG only physically and having q to leave the key at the same every time you go out on the street. The staff was friendly, although English skills were poor and I don’t speak Portuguese. As I entered the room I could see all the dirt on the floor and especially in the corners and next to the walls. The bathroom was outdated and the glass doors were also not cleaned properly, as you could see lime residues all over. As I just arrived from Overseas I decided to have a nap though. I immediately saw all the red and/or brown stains on the duvet, because there was no sheet underneath, but just on top. I think there were not so many hotel experiences in my life, which were so disgusting like this. First I thought, that I will complain at the reception, but then it came to my mind, that the staff would not understand what I mean due to the language barrier. I threw the duvet out of the bed and covered myself with towels, which were not as dirty as the duvet. Actually I should have left the hotel immediately, which I did so only twice before in my life, but I had this one night only in Brasil and I was terrible tired. After a short rest I had a shower, but there was no shower gel in the bathroom, shampoo-and conditioner dispenser were empty. The toilet flush didn’t work properly either, for only a piece of toilet paper you had to flush many times to disappear. Honestly this was one of my worst hotel stays and I don’t want to undergo anything like that again!

Great breakfast, good food at restaurants - all the above I give 5 stars. However the organization of restaurant in the evening needs major attention, which is sad because the food is excellent, and so I give 2 stars as I’ll describe below. For our evening dinner we - and other guests waited more than an hour for food. It was obvious they were understaffed but no one checked in with us and it was hard to get their attention. When our food arrived, they forgot my elderly mother’s meal. Wait staff continued to not check in with us - and we felt ignored. Finally we spoke with staff and they got my mothers meal…about an additional 45 minutes later, we actually ate together. I complained to the restaurant manager and I was treated disrespectfully. I felt her meal needed to be compensated. His reply was “No - well she ate it didn’t she?” I was stunned by his rudeness and stood my ground that a 5 star hotel should not treat their guests this way. A waiter saw the ridiculous exchange and ended comping her meal. I noticed other hotel guests were frustrated too and had similar issues. At the very least all that needed to be done was for the staff to communicate,”Please be patient with us; were understaffed” etc. -That would’ve made a world of a difference.

Fica a apenas 1 quadra do Circuito Liberdade (Museus, imensa praça planejada, Palácio do Governador..) e a 2 quadras da famosa Praça da Savassi, ambos excelentes passeios e com diversos bares e entretenimento, de alta qualidade. O staff do hostel é primoroso! Super prestativos, gente boas d+ e deixa o hóspede tão vontade como se fosse nossa própria casa. Excelentes áreas comuns, como: sala de TV (tem até um Mario Kart, kk), área de café, uma charmosa varanda e... um porão! com fliperama, música e iluminação modernas!! Ótima opção de integração e para conhecer uma enorme parte dos hóspedes, que, aliás, sempre têm diversas nacionalidades. Lógico, e nessa parte, tem 1 ponto: às vezes tem colegas de hostel bons demais, outras vezes, os colegas são mais do que excelentes!!! haha Tem maleiro próprio para cada hóspede embaixo da cama, com cadeado e tudo! O hostel possui toalhas (verificar preço no check in) e banheiro muito bom, com água quente. A cozinha é ótima, compartilhada e muito bem equipada para fazer lanches rápidos e, até uma refeição completa. O hostel também oferece um mercadinho com produtos básicos e rápidos, bebidinhas e comidinhas, pra economizar tempo e disposição. Quando fui tinha uma turma de escola e uma família também, já que o hostel possui quartos privativos. Logo, é um hostel super de boas e têm todas as tribos, desde mochileiros, aquele fds rápido em BH e até para famílias, Hostel inclusive é acessível! Têm elevador do térreo, até o terraço. Vai acabar, prometo.. kk Dito tudo isso, a energia, o clima gostoso e a vibração mágica que é todo o hostel, isso não dá pra descrever em palavras.... é algo indescritível!
