|2.93km from city centerWow! That was our reaction when we arrived. Wow, what a unique place. We all loved it! The rooms are all different and something I've never seen before. Everything from furniture to decorations were something to examine and admire. We enjoyed just wandering around the hotel grounds and hallways looking at artifacts and doors. The rooms are huge, clean, and comfortable with modern amenities. The restaurant was very good and the staff great. Very friendly! We even met the owner of the hotel. The location is great. We had our meals looking out onto the sea and just outside of the hotel was shopping and exploring in Jew Town. Great place to stay and I highly recommend it!

Entering Eight Bastion transported you to a different world, so calm and peaceful, so different from the bustles of Fort Kochi. Our room was spacious and decorated to celebrate the birthday. Our balcony faced ”Thakur House”, build on one of the 7 Bastions of the old Dutch fort and was an amazing place to sit and watch the world go by. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful, the food delicious. The pool was lovely, my daughter and I spent the morning splashing in it. We could truly relax and not think of the outside world. We had lunch and dinner at the restaurant and the food was very nice. The staff helped us out whenever we needed anything. We cannot wait to come back here again. It made our Fort Kochi experience very memorable. We definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a different experience of sitting back and being in the moment.

I write this reviews just an experience stayed a day actually my plan was 3 days in same hotel but it’s make me really disappointed from the arrival no one escorts to take my luggage and there a two boys in the reception when I arrive both are stayed in the room inside and watching there phone simply, after I arrived I just ask a help to carry my baggage just simply ignore (note I just ask for a help) After I came to room AC Is doesn’t work at all even I keep on for 3 hours, when I ask yo reception he mentioned to me it’s Hot weather sir will be work soon (after 3 hours come on ) Then in the night I ask for TV is there is any channel is working, he just laugh and reply to me if you want to see the TV just open android smart phone connect to TV Seriously it’s make me really disappointed and I don’t recommend for any new comer in this hotel

We had dinner in their 2nd floor restaurant and we had called our local relatives too. Food was mamageable but nothing great. We didn't go for the buffet spread as we didn't like the options. The place has no liquor permit. The inclsuive breeafast was just about ok. The service was poor. I ordered omlette a couple of times and it was never served. The staff was reasonably friednly and the friedliest one was the door ***. The palce has nice parkign facility underground.

Although I paid a higher price, to get a more comfort. it was a super small room without storage possibilities. the bathroom does not get cleaned, I saw it with my own eyes when checking out. hair in the drain, toothpaste traces, dirty bathroom walls. cups are dirty etc. no breakfast although breakfast is mentioned in the description, but then not in the equipment 😉. actually everything that is mentioned in the description is not true. you think the neighbors are standing in the bathroom it's so badly soundprooft, the bedding was dirty etc. I left after a night and had to pay half the price of 5 days. the owner was quite nice band helpfull, the only good thing

|4.45km from city centeri really enjoyed my stay it was very comfortable. and they have everything you need. lockers. towels for rent. can refill water bottles or buy new one. they have laundry washer. they have ***y activities they can take you on and a rooftop to chill. we were taken to the beach and it was great swimming to cool off for a few hours. they guys that work here are fantastic! they will take care of you! i went to visit a friends place so i didn’t come back for th night and they were messaging me checking if i’m okay. they are very thoughtful of all their guests.

There were 10 of us and they went out of their way to make things easy for us. We arrived from an overnight flight and and although they couldn't have 5 rooms ready for us early they had 3 and people had somewhere to go and get washed and rest. We needed early breakfast one morning and they opened the kitchen early for us. The rooms were clean and having a reasonably priced restaurant in the building was extremely handy. The food was also very good!

|5.89km from city centerSecond time staying here, and found it to be a huge mistake. The property is beautiful but sadly is in need of a lot of maintenance and upkeep. Stray dogs roam in and out of the property freely, and the staff is indifferent. The Marina annexe has great views but that’s where it ends. It is perpetually in darkness, and I was the one switching the lights on every evening on both the first and second floors. The rooms are musty and worn out, and the bathroom had the wet cloth smell throughout our stay. The so called entry/lobby of the Marina building is badly maintained, furniture is left askance, no staff, reminds me of college hostels in remote villages. The service room is left open all the time and we get a lovely glimpse of all the mattresses and sheets strewn about on the floor ***** with sundry bits of trash. The beautiful Dutch bungalow is dirty, smelly and the previous events leftovers, dishes, juice boxes and remains lay spread all over the veranda of what is supposed to be a heritage building. Breakfast service was appalling. There weren’t enough chairs inside so we were collecting chairs from outside and bringing them in, while the hotel staff person stood there silently watching us. When we suggested to him that they could help us at least with organising chairs, he said the hotel staff is less 😱. No plates, food was less, we didn’t even bother placing any orders for eggs as it didn’t look like anyone was interested in taking them or whether there would be any hope of seeing our orders. Staff is polite but appears to be mainly focused on attending to politicians or govt guests. Ironic and sad that paying guests are left to attend to themselves, while public servants get waited on like royalty.

Suria did an outstanding job by arranging a car for us from Alleppey, ordering tuk-tuks, making sure that we are comfortable and have everything we need. Telma and Jancy cooked delicious breakfasts and introduced the local Kerala vegetarian dishes to us. Anil helps in the kitchen and around the house in addition to the main job - keeping the garden in wonderful shape. The entire team is always smiling, singing and taking care of us. We definitely will miss the time we spent at this lovely historical house. Highly recommend!

Kerala is the first place we visited and I was incredibly impressed with how clean, safe and comfy the homestay was. It is in the perfect location, very short walking distance to Princess street. The hosts are incredibly friendly, they helped me with my washing and also made us two delicious homemade breakfasts. The air conditioning worked really well and there is also a fan. Will recommend this place to any traveller and I would definitely stay here again.

The manager Jinu is so helpful and caring, the rooms are very comfortable and well maintain, the swimming pool is a bliss early morning and you can even take bicycles to ride around the town. He is a very friendly, honest and patient *** with a ”Can Do” attitude. After speaking to him, we knew: were, what, when, how and how much. The Room: Very clean room with AC and Ceiling fan, good shower and plenty of warm water. There also seemed to be a little kitchen we didn't use which might be handy for some guests. Hospitality: George & Daisy are some of the nicest people you will meet on this planet. Very caring & honest. I was sick for some of my stay and Daisy nursed me back to health with some homemade remedies. George had some tips on medicine and within 2 days I was back to feeling ay okey! They saved our trip to Kerala. Thank you so much. I can recommend Elim Homestay to anyone visiting Kochi. 5 stars across the board!

My room was medium sized and I was supplied with a kettle on request. There was a small outside balcony with no view to speak of. There was no fridge. The A/C was very efficient, as was the WiFi. Water was supplied daily. This place is very clean- well done to the hard-working staff who were all delightful: consistently very pleasant and helpful. Highly recommended!

It was everything we hoped for and Vinita the ***ager and her fabulous team went out of their way to make sure all we needed was catered for. The hotel is soulful with heaps of character and also clean, comfortable and in a perfect location for taking in all the delights of Fort Kochi. The yoga and meditation spaces were perfect. The food was delicious and there were lovely little touches of beauty everywhere from the flowers and plants to the wallhangings and candles. We Westerners had great fun trying on sarees with the female staff too. We had a fabulous Keralan welcome and also had great Ayurvedic massage on offer. Local tours were organised and any questions answered with a big smile. A huge thank you. We will definitely be back.
