It is located next to a pedestrian street. Main entrance is closed, so finding staff might be tricky. I met the staff in the restaurant attached to the hotel (hotel`s next door); my reservation was OK. Stairways to access rooms, no lift available. The room I got (No 7) was comfortable, good bed to sleep, soft mattress. The bathroom was clean. I found a very good wi-fi in the room. TV set and heater available, and no safe in the room. All was in order and clean. Easy to walk around from this hotel, some of the touristic attractions are found near. Apart of the several stores close to the hotel, I highlight some great bakeries located on the same pedestrian street. Staff service just fair.

The hotel was in a very good location, close to the train station. The host, Hocine is a really nice guy and really went out of the way for me. He booked Ouigo train tickets for me, when my credit card would not work on Ouigo site. We had a quad room, which was extremely clean & comfortable. Beds were good, quite room, able to get a good nights sleep. Bathroom was also very clean and modern, shower pressure was good and plenty of hot water. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the hotel.

The hotel itself is great and in a good location. There is, however, NO parking. You are expected to park on the street. We were lucky and there was an open handicap spot diagonal across the street. We parked the car and walked to the city center (10 min). The young man that checked us in was very apologetic and helpful. (He was from Atlanta, but I can't remember his name)

The Hotel AZUR is ideally located and offers rooms of various sizes all tastefully decorated. Their website provides room dimensions so you know what to expect. We paid an extra 20€ per night over the Comfort Room rate to get a Superior room. The booking detail said the room would have air conditioning and safe for our valuables. Neither were in our room. Christelle, the hard working proprietor offered to store our valuables at the front desk which wasn’t really an option for us as the desk closes each day between 12:30 and 2:00and again in the evening. We were told that the floor fan was the air conditioning?!? Fortunately the weather cooled off so the lack of AC was tolerable. I understand that some rooms have real air conditioners so be careful to book one of these. We should have booked a Comfort Room, saved the 40€ over two nights and had the same amenities.

We were here for a romantic valentine’s day getaway. The hotel is walking distance from the town center as well as a few champagne houses. From the moment we arrived to the time we departed the staff couldn’t have been more attentive. We stayed in a two-room suite in the cottage that was quaint and romantic. On the evening of Valentine’s day, we received a beautiful chocolate sculpture in our room and a bottle of champagne. The lounge is a great place to have a drink and relax. It has an extensive list of champagnes on offer. The front desk was able to arrange a car service to take us to Paris as well as inquire about touring a local champagne house. The hotel is a little on the pricey side, but the rooms and service are well worth it.

Stayed here last weekend with my wife and dog on the way to Calais (220 kms) from Germany. Pleasantly and warmly welcomed by the manageress who took us on a personal tour around the facilities, she is obviously proud of the place. All of the rooms and dining areas have been recently (March '19) refurbished and all are en-suite. Whoever chose the decoration has exquisite taste and a feeling for what looks good in an old establishment, it all seemed to fit in well. Our room was a good size, clean and tidy with a view out over the terrace restaurant and the village square too. The old chateau is a matter of yards away and there is a very pleasant evening walk to be had on the old ramparts at the rear of the war memorial. We ate in the restaurant on the Saturday evening, a wonderful meal of calves kidneys cooked to perfection. For a 9 room hotel the restaurant was full and it is obviously popular with non-residents as I saw some people without reservations sadly being turned away. We were allowed to take the dog into the restaurant area, he just curled up and went to sleep. The food was magnificent, well cooked and presented and generous portions too. We ate two courses a la carte, with wine and drinks too, and I still had change from €50. Breakfast the next morning was a leisurely affair, a very good choice of cereals, fruits, breads and croissants as you would expect on the continent. All in all a very pleasant experience and one I am going to repeat when next in the area. A little off the beaten track but well worth the detour just for the food and ambience. A genuinely pleasant stay made memorable by genuinely nice people making you feel welcome and special. Pretty central too if you are doing a tour of the area or its many battlefields over the centuries. A great little find far from the madding crowd!

This is a budget hotel but I have given it the full five because it easily matched our expectations. We also chose it because it is dog friendly. It was easy to find, not far off the Autoroute. The car park is fenced and the gates closed at night although pedestrians can get in through the side gate. Reception was manned when we were there but there looked to be a self check in facility which we did not use. We were given a code to take our car in and out of the car park if the gate was shut but I’m not sure how that would have worked if we had arrived late when the desk was closed? Opposite the hotel there is an Italian restaurant and an Aldi supermarket with a large (but not secure) car park, so that can be used for an overflow. We just parked up and went to the restaurant, which was fine. The room was compact and spotlessly clean and the bed was comfy albeit, the pillows gave little support. The en-suite has a shower that was on the small side and the door opened inwards so it would be a tight fit for a larger person. Once inside, the shower was more than adequate as was the room. The towels were a tad thin but they did the job and were fine for an overnight stop. The car park was full even for a Tuesday night in October and it was a mixture of holiday makers like ourselves and work vans and I assume everyone was attracted by the value for money. We had time on our hands before a tea time crossing of the Channel, so we skipped breakfast and took the tram into the centre. The tram terminus is a short walk from the hotel and there is also a large park & ride that can be used. We left the car at the park & ride as we checked out in the morning and when we came back we were able to stock up with some supplies at the nearby supermarket and there was also a petrol station a short distance away with fuel available at prices that were substantially below the prices on the Autoroute, (and as the rate of exchange was 1.16 on that day, better than in the south of England) so best to fill up before you go!

Great decor, really funky environment with quirky things to do like photo booth, giant table football, art pad to draw on etc. Really fun vibe. The standard room was very clean and neat. Tea and coffee facilities available. The most comfortable bed and pillows ever! Like sleeping in marshmallow clouds......absolutely wonderful. Breakfast fantastic. Great selection of breads, cheese, croissants. Also eggs, bacon, sausages on the hot counter. Plant milk available. Lovely choice of French cuisine. If your a fan of tea.... great tea variety on offer. All in all a lovely stay. Very enjoyable and would plan to stop again if visiting this region of France.

I stayed for three nights in this hotel coming to Reims for a conference, and could not be more happy to highly recommend the place for anyone coming to Champagne, be it business or pleasure. The hotel is located in a very quiet neighborhood some 20 minutes walk from the city center and the train station, and it took me about 30 minutes of a (very) quiet stroll to the congress center. The hotel itself boasts a more than 150-years history, it is still run by the family, and the proprietor is an extraordinary person indeed. The staff, likewise, are very pleasant people, with lively and pleasing conversation and very attentive approach. The young man at the front desk also spoke truly excellent English and was absolutely charming and obliging. The room that I had was on the second floor. The indoor stairs gave out to the open (roofed) corridor, like in many French hotels. The room was very comfortable, with a large bed, a working corner, TV set, spacious closet, minibar, and very comfortable bathroom with a bath tub. Everything was spotlessly clean, throughout the stay. The WiFi signal was strong and steady, and I was able to work in the evenings without any difficulty. No noise in the room, although the neighboring rooms were quite inhabited. Air conditioning was there but was turned off as the weather was fine. The sleeping quality was great and very refreshing. Breakfast was plainly excellent. Cold cuts, a variety of excellent cheeses, egg boiler (you place a raw egg in a holder and keep it there by your taste), omelette, bacon, sausages, pancakes, fresh croissants, excellent coffee, and other things that I don't even remember now - ample, plentiful, and very tasty. The hotel also has swimming pool, and a spa. Unfortunately I had no chance to get into any of it, but it looked very promising. Reims is a worthy place to visit, and if I would be so fortunate as to come back - I will definitely choose to stay au tambour. I highly recommend the place to everyone.

The kitchenette in the small studio apartments at Le Champ de Mars is well equipped with cooking plates, a fridge and a microwave. We got our food at the nearby Carrefour and cooked our own vegetarian meal. We had a very quiet room at the back of the building. Since staff isn't there in the weekend, we got instructions on how to enter and how to get our key, and everything worked fine. On top of it, it's also really well-priced. The hotel is not in the city centre itself, but in the area where the warehouses of the Mumm champaign company are located.

Our trip was absolutely wonderful! The room and space was impeccably clean, and extremely comfortable. I loved that we had a separate tub and shower. Nouria, went above and beyond making us feel comfortable and welcome. She is a fantastic cook and I would highly recommend paying the extra fee to have her wow you with a delicious home cooked meal. I had the pleasure of celebrating a birthday while staying here, and Nouria was so sweet and thoughtful adding to the celebration with her birthday surprises. We felt like friends after our few days spent at this wonderful B&B. We were sad to leave when our time was through and will not hesitate staying here again, the next time we are in Reims. 10/10

very happy with this hotel. Clean rooms, pleasant staff who all can communicate in English, both in person and by email. 3 handicapped rooms have roll-in showers without a step. Whole room is flat and big enough for wheelchair to turn in the room and bathroom. If you arrive after the hotel closes at night there is a machine to get the room key ... a bit daunting when this happens, but it works and there is a number to call and you can speak to an English-speaker if there is a problem. We can definitely recommend this hotel - stay there regularly and there is also an accessible Chinese restaurant across the way.

Arrived at the hotel and were greeted by 3 very pleasant and welcoming ladies who helped from then on with any questions we had. What a good start. I think one of them was named Khadija. The hotel parking was excellent, the room spacious and the bathroom was all you could need. The bed was huge! Everywhere was very clean. Only downside was that the restaurant was closed on Friday evening and the nearest restaurants a short drive away had mixed reviews. However we would stay here again without a doubt. The price we got was also quite good. If we had experienced the restaurant and found it good then our rating would have been 5.

It’s a funky place but served us well. The place is half college dorm, half hotel - so rooms are small, but with a kitchenette and desk. Bathroom and shower good. There is no a/c so for hot August nights it was not cool enough... but you can walk to several champagne houses. The price is right for what you get. Wish there was somebody on the desk for longer periods to help with directions and suggestions. And beware, there’s construction all around, so GPS directions make it very difficult to find!

We have stayed at the premiere classe hotel in Reims in many occasions before. We recently booked it for an overnight stop. When we arrived at the hotel we found that it had changed ownership to formula 1 hotel and that our hotel had moved to another location. There were no road signs to show where it had moved to. I had to phone the hotel. The hotel is now located on an industrial estate behind the Kyriad. It isn’t a new hotel but a refurbished small hotel. Our room was clean and freshly painted and the bathroom had a new shower and toilet which worked ok. The hotel is very basic - no carpets in the foyer or on the stairs or corridors which makes it noisy. I have to be honest it did make me think of a prison block. We also were concerned that the car park was not secure and were nervous about leaving our car there overnight. There are a number of hotels in the area in better locations at similar prices so I think it is unlikely that we will stay there again

I have never been spoken to so rudely as I was by the member of staff on reception. There was a small problem with our booking (name change due to getting married) but the lady on reception blatantly refused to read my booking confirmation from the website we booked it on (which had my new name clearly written on it). We had extended our stay for an extra night. When we tried to re check in we were told we didn’t have a reservation. When we tried to say ‘yes we do, please look at the confirmation email here, we’ve even paid for it’ she said ‘no, STOP, you don’t have a reservation’. She refused to read the booking confirmation I was showing her (if she had just read it she’d have noticed the change of name, I wasn’t aware at the time that this was the problem as the receptionist didn’t even ask to double check my name.... people get married and people do change their names). She wouldn’t let us even finish a sentence without shouting ‘STOP’ at us. We tried to insist that she read the confirmation, as there must have been some confusion somewhere, but she just shouted ‘STOP, stop making a scene in front of my guets’ at us. She then made me call the booking website myself, instead of just carefully reading my booking confirmation email herself and rectifying the problem. Only after 40 mins on the phone to the website’s emergency contact, and them then calling the hotel for us, did the hotel then accept that we DID in-fact have a booking, it had already been fully paid for, and there was just a small confusion with the name change. I don’t expect to have ‘no, stop’ shouted in my face several times by the receptionist when we were just trying to check into the room we’d paid for. I had all the proof and details of that booking (even the name change) in a written confirmation which I was trying to show at check in. But she just refused to read it or deal with us. Saying ‘it’s not my problem’..... it was in fact her problem as it was her job as the receptionist to check in the guests that had paid to stay there. My husband is French and spoke in french to the receptionist. When I asked him to translate for me what was happening, she jumped in and started shouting that he’d translated wrongly (which he hadn’t, he’s bilingual). It was an absolute disgrace. This was the final night of a very special holiday and it was completely ruined by what happened. All that needed to be done was for her to actually read the booking confirmation I was showing her. I have never been spoken to so rudely in all my life by someone so unwilling to do the job that they were being paid to do. To top this all off, we had about three sheets of toilet paper in the toilet, one of the lights in the toilet didn’t work, my bedside light didn’t work, we had no TV remote (we had to ask at reception for one, which we were given), we were given no water on arrival (we had to ask for this also, which we were then given). All in all a pretty appalling stay. It’s the 8th night we’d
