Currently coming to the end of my stay, what a great stay it was, I wasn't expecting much, I just wanted a cheap short break away in the sun, I was pleasantly surprise. Firstly as a female solo traveller, I was a little nervous, but the friendly reception made me feel welcome and safe I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a Sea view which was a lovely touch as I was celebrating my Birthday. Beaches are beautiful, shallow waters ideal for little ones, a lovely beach restaurant that I used daily for lunch, reasonable prices (Pizza and a drink 13 euros) All the staff were so friendly and hard working, nothing was to much, considering the hotel closes soon for the season, they remained upbeat. Should you want to venture out there are shops,a supermarket and restaurants all within walking distance. I booked an Island excursion which was a great way to explore Menorca stress free .You can book ticket's at the same place as you exchange money, which is by the supermarket opposite hotel entrance, (follow signs, slightly down some steps) it cost £32 we were picked up at 8.45am back 6ish. The your guide was called Rafael, he owns and runs the business, as he has done for over 50 years! he is so passionate. You could join group lunch for 17 euros for a set menu, I did my own thing found a lovely cafe Back to the hotel, there is evening entertainment, a small kids park, I think 3 pools, lots of areas to chill, the main clientele at the time of my stay were Spanish, as Oct seems to be a popular time for locals to go on vacation, I quite like that, felt like you were actually in Spain The only thing I think that could do with improvement is the food,breakfast was fine, normal sausages, bacon, waffles, pastries etc, unfortunately dinner let it down a little as more of a canteen feel, quite bland, lots of beige. I did HB as it was a minimal extra cost, however I'd probably stick to BB in future, it may have just been me due to being vegetarian, however I did hear other guests grumble. As I mentioned there is the beach restaurant, and restaurants within the vicinity so plenty of other choices. All in all I would definitely stay here again, you couldn't fault the staff, the beach, the atmosphere, the pool, given all the positives I can oversee the canteen 😁 Ps Airport was about 30mins away, I booked transfers with Shuttle direct online, as you come out of departures turn left, the desk advise ETA, on return you just scan your QR code, (also shows return time on confirmation they had you on arrival)

This hotel was booked for us by our travel agent. It’s only 11 minutes from the airport and located near the center of Mahon and the port. There aren’t any beaches in this immediate location so you’ll either need a car, taxi, or excursion to get to beaches if that’s what you’re looking for. If it’s the only thing you’re looking for, stay in another town where beaches are in walking distance. I’d hate for the area to get a bad review because assumptions were made. It’s got it’s own charm and it should be appreciated. Check-in was easy. Don’t fret when you see the sign to enter the reception area. It says hostal, but the reception area is for both the hostal of the building you walk into and the separate hotel rooms you’ll stay in in another building. Our room was on the first floor. It was a good size, clean, with simple decorations. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure strong, and the hot water was HOT. You shouldn’t have an issue relaxing here and getting a good night’s rest. The breakfast was very good and we loved the B&B feel. You had someone serving you breakfast, coffee, etc. It added a nice personal touch. The room was made daily and they did a phenomenal job. There was no safe in the room, but the area is extremely safe and there are cameras in the lobby area. The area is picturesque. Part of its charm is getting lost in the narrow streets and I advise you do. Menorca sticks to its Spanish roots and traditions so expect it to be very quiet after lunch. Some stores and restaurants even close until dinner time which is pretty late (8:00pm). This was the case when we arrived, but it did give us plenty opportunity for pictures without battling tourists for a “good spot”, lol. There isn’t a “nightlife” here in the traditional sense. Your best bet would be near the boardwalk. You’ll want to stay in another town for that which we were told is the “party area”, but after being in Menorca for a few days we learned the island itself is much slower paced and traditional. We appreciated that since we came from Barcelona where it’s much more crowded and busy. Lastly, parking would’ve been tough and we didn’t rent a car. Having a car would’ve probably made things a little easier and cheaper. We had to go to Fornells which is 25 minutes away for our excursion departures. At the time of writing, it was about 35 euros for a trip there and another 30-35 for the trip back. You can make the decision on if you’d benefit from a car, but for us being here a few days it didn’t make the most sense. All in all, I’d highly recommend this hotel and ended up enjoying the location, slow pace, and relaxing vibes.

Checked in by Laura on reception who was lovely and gave all the information needed. I stayed in 1125 one bedroom apartment with baloney view of the front of the hotel. Room had everything you needed for self catering as I was travelling alone. I had issues with my key card then the actual lock didn’t work I had to go to reception but Raffaella on reception she quickly called maintenance to come and look at it to fix. The pool area is so lovely, relaxing and well maintained. I didn’t eat in the main dinning all so I cannot comment on the food however ate at the pool bar a few times which was good and a good selection of drinks. All staff was friendly especially the ones at the pool bar and very accommodating. They made me feel safe especially travelling alone as a 25 year old girl. Ciutadella is a 25 min walk or you can get a taxi or the 64 bus for €1.60. Ciutadella is beautiful and has array of restaurants and bars to choose from. A small beach next to the hotel I couldn’t believe how clear the water was. Finally Alexandra, I believe she was the hotel coordinator asking everyone how they was doing, gave recommendations and just had a good conversation with her. I will definitely return

Good location for walk to the port/restaurants and the old town Steps or slopes down to the port - not a good location for people in wheelchairs though ( unless somebody really fit and strong is pushing the chair) or for people with mobility issues, but ok for pushchairs. Families welcome if you have young children Cleaning top notch in hotel itself (but pool needed more attention) Light airy breakfast room even though it was in the basement. Comfy seating with plenty of space. Good variety of milk options at breakfast. Cons Not good value for money, but guess you are paying for the convenience of the location. No ramp to access hotel - only steps. Swimming pool in very shady residential setting enclosed by high walls Reception Staff - some were super helpful & others disinterested in guests. Worse breakfast we had in Menorca (stayed in 5 different hotels on our recent holiday) Nothing cooked to order. Dry pastries. Even small doughnuts. were cut in half! That said staff were pleasant and regularly replenished food. Flies around the buffet, which is my pet hate. Food needs transparent covers. But orange juice was excellent. Not adult only - which is our preference. Noisy toddlers/crying and having tantrums in pool area.

Myself and my wife just came back from Menorca, and the wonderful Globales Binimar. It was our Honeymoon, we didn’t really know what to expect, we’d never been to either the resort or Menorca itself. We were pleasantly surprised with both a relatively short flight and coach transfer, and on arrival at the hotel, plenty of friendly faces who were all happy to help. Everyone spoke great English if that’s something you’re after. The hotel was very clean, well kept, maids and gardeners always pottering about making sure things are as they should be. The room was clean, basic, but clean with a lovely pool view/balcony. Air Con in both kitchen/living area and bedroom. TV with both Spanish & English channels. A great key-card system that never faltered for us once. The pools were again, clean, well kept, sun-loungers are stacked neatly and there are plenty of them. Plenty of room poolside and shade if you should want it. Pool side bar, music playing but not too loud. Mini-market on hand too with everything you could need and more, taking both card & cash. The food was amazing with so much on offer, replenished very frequently and always something different every night. Pizzeria a very nice touch and specials corner which was amazing. Again very friendly staff who do a great job of collecting plates and empties. All very polite and friendly. Great children’s entertainment however there is only 1 bar open in the evening meaning if Children’s entertainment isn’t your thing then you might be a bit miffed. One thing to bare in mind is this is a family friendly resort and a very safe one at that. If children/families aren’t your thing then Adult Only might be more for you. Overall, I would recommend the Binimar to anyone and everyone, they are a credit to the Globales family and the perfect example of what every holiday experience should be.

The location is very pretty, on cobbled streets and narrow passages but very close to the main street. We have just returned from two glorious weeks at this lovely hotel. We had a beautiful room overlooking the start of the estuary and the Isle de Rei. The morning sunrise was just fabulous! I had read before my visit that although the walk-in showers had been completed, the rooms themselves needed a refurbish. Well the bathroom is lovely. You have shampoo, bath wash and gorgeous body milk. Beautiful shower area. Such a delight! Yes, the rooms are looking well worn, but my only criticism would be lack of drawer space. If you are staying for two weeks it can be tricky to keep your clothes ‘tidy’ all piled up in the wardrobe. The hotel is blessed with the most wonderful happy staff! Thank you to all we met who enhanced our stay with their positive attitude. Special mention has to go though to Harold at the bar. A true professional! His cocktails never disappointed ! The food in the dining room was really good when we arrived. Lots of choice and of a very good quality. Towards the end of our stay, when numbers dwindled, there was still a great display of Menorcan foods, meats and cheeses. The soup was divine, and the different breads just lovely. Salads were plentiful and varied, and the puddings were scrumptious! There was still always something tasty and different to choose every evening. The chefs were continually checking the food and replacing it when necessary. Cleo and Alexander were great hosts. There was low key entertainment twice a week. Good singers, and we particularly loved the jazz trio on the last evening. They put their own take on many popular songs and did it very well. Es Castell is full of history, and we enjoyed visiting Mahon. You can either walk for about 15 to 20 mins, or catch a bus into the station. From here you can use the buses to visit other places very easily. Or walk down into the town and take in all the sights! There is a fish market and attached to it an area which does tapas and all different kinds fishy snacks. On our last Saturday there was music and it made for a lovely atmosphere. Would we return to the Agamemon? Certainly we will! The views are a delight, always something different going on.

The location of the hotel is perfect, easy to find parking and walk to the hotel. Close to some very good restaurants in the centre of town. The hotel staff were particularly helpful, when we asked for suggestions for places to visit or calas to sunbathe. Indeed we suggested the receptionist was better than Google! For breakfast you can order many things: I recommend the toast with avocado and anchovies. The charming lady will make it there and then for you. Overall we had a wonderful week there.

We are six nights into our fourteen night half board stay and cannot fault this hotel. The rooms are lovely and clean with a bath and shower plus flat screen tv with some British channels and spacious balcony. The food is varied - everything you would expect for breakfast. For the evening meal starters have included muscles, prawns, smoked salmon, assortment of cheeses and cold meats, plus. Main meal choices include fish (tuna, sea bass, plaice, sole plus others) or meat (steak, lamb chops, roast pork, burger, etc) all cooked freshly plus many other dishes. Yes you have to wait a short time for the main meat/fish to be freshly cooked but worth it (hotel is busy and we have never had to wait very long). Puddings consist of various cakes, fresh fruit and ice cream. The food within the pre cooked hot containers is not as hot as we like, therefore, we make use of the microwave - one minute is all that is needed. The staff are very helpful and cannot do enough for you. The pool is kept lovely and clean, however, the overflow surround is slightly discoloured. The whole surface around the pool area is good to walk on - not slippery at all. We have used the public transport to get around the island and explore the two cities - very easy and on time. Cala Blanca is a quiet resort with limited facilities (a few supermarkets and several restaurants) - would recommend the half board option. Snack food and drink purchased at the hotel is roughly the same price as elsewhere. Very enjoyable.

We have been to Galdana Gardens several times over the years, and we had a very enjoyable and relaxing break. We were fortunate to have a top floor apartment this time and well worth going up the steps for the wonderful view of the bay. The Gardens are superb, and the guys who maintain them are brilliant 👏 Maite on reception is just superb 👌 The cleaning ladies are great 👍 Just great. I will bring up the towel reserving issue as it's a problem. 9am towels down and return at 3pm and even reserving 4 sunbeds for 2 people on either side of the pool... If you can't beat them, join them... which we didn't But hey, hoy. Great place and location.

From Mahon Airport, bus L10 is a quick ride to bus station. Short walk to this modern 4* eco-aware hotel. Friendly welcome, comfortable quiet room with free coffee/tea, water refill, Wi-Fi etc. Very good buffet breakfast; and there's a lounge with complimentary beer & wine plus free snacks from 3pm. Pleasant stroll to main sites in the old town and you can even walk to one of the ancient Talayotic sites, Trepuco, which is free to visit. With the bus station so near the hotel, it's easy to take a day trip to former capital Ciutadella or nearby ex-garrison town Es Castell. Plenty of eateries in Mahon, and there's even a gin distillery with wide variety to sample.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the accommodation, it was clean and great location and in the weeks stay we had towel and bedding change done 3 times which was very much appreciated. The location was a little noisy until about midnight, probably wouldn't be an issue for most people but with a young child we were in bed by 9ish most nights, luckily my little one slept brilliantly and after the first night I just used my headphones as ear plugs and had a great night's sleep every night. On the subject of noise....the walls are very thin and noise does travel. We did have a very noisy neighbour on the 1st day, who were a little noisy during their affectionate times, slightly awkward and just something to be aware of if you're going as a couple! The pool area was great, perfect for a little one as it is very shallow and we had the area completely to ourselves every day, also free WiFi in this area for guests. The beds were much bigger than the standard single you usually get, I'd say 3/4 size and comfortable. Yes the rooms were a little dated, but for the price for better than I was expecting. Completely functional and clean. There was a ceiling fan and little electrical heater supplied which really heated the space up. Even in 43+ degrees the room was pleasantly cool. Good sized fridge, only hot plates and microwave though for cooking but lovely local restaurants literally a 30 second walk away. Lovely pleasant staff, really friendly and helpful Felt very safe and welcome in this beautiful corner of menorca

We had 4 nights at the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. All other areas in the hotel were very nicely decorated. There was a good choice of food at breakfast. The hotel is a short 10 minute walk to the main bars & restaurants. There is lots of parking around the hotel & if you can't find a space then the car park is 20 Euros. There are steps leading down to the harbour where you will also find restaurants.

Stayed at the Allua Sun. for 7 nights. The accomodation and pool were lovely. Nice sized apartment with a Sea view, lovely bedroom , bathroom and living area . We stayed self catering and unfortunately the kitchen is not adequate for this purpose. We don't like buffet, canteen style food so that was not an option. We tried the Italian restaurant but found the food to be microwave standard.. I am though giving a high rating for the following reasons. We arrived before our apartment was ready and had an hour to kill, so went for something to eat at the pool bar, the food was not good, stone cold chips and a bacon coloured chicken burger, pizza that looked like a tortilla with cheese, which made us decide to give the resort food a miss. Keys collected and into the apartment, we were in Caleta Playa very close to the beach, with a fantastic view and a west facing balcony. The apartment was basic, 2 rings, toaster, microwave remember to take a sharp knife and coffee cups the room is only supplied with espresso cups. don't worry about towels or toilet paper the house keeping lady came everyday. Small shop on site and better shop about 7mins away. This is a remote place with very little nearby everywhere is a walk, bus or taxi, Cuitadella which 30 mins walk or 5 euro's in a taxi is a must, also good bus service. PROS, beautiful area super close to beach and clear sea. Plenty of sunbeds and 7 pools at the resort. Both bedroom and living area had AC House keeping everyday. Nearest bar is about 5 min's away ODEUM which is very nice with a Pizza van on site. Free security box helpful reception staff more than happy to get a taxi CONS, it's used and could really do with some investment, limited equipment in the apartments. Very poor Wifi Very limited for food and drinks near hotel.

We have spent 4 days staying in this hotel, we do not usually go to 3-star hotels but with the high demand that was on the island we decided to stay here. The hotel is a small but comfortable hotel, the room and bathroom were clean code access is comfortable to not have to walk with the typical key. The only thing I put is that there is a sales machine, to have water or something to eat.

Difficult to grade this hotel as it’s not the kind we’d normally choose, but as this was chosen for us by our tour company for an overnight stay during our Cami de Cavalls island tour, we checked in with the lovely and very friendly staff and were then .. well.. let’s be kind and say our room was … bijou Again, it was all very clean with plenty of white towels that were fine, but imagine will need replacing soon enough.. But seriously.. I say bijou.. and there’s small and there’s small, there was barely enough room to get round the bed.. the air con is a three speed ceiling fan, so luckily for us it was a cool May so really wasn’t needed, but imagine things are very different in August. The bathroom was adequate, but oh boy, we learned quickly not to leave the fan in as it only made the drains smell twice as bad to the point of nearly reporting to reception, and if staying longer likely would have done.. Breakfast was adequate.. but honestly, there was a tray of cold meats and cheese we didn’t go near as we couldn’t decide to knock off the shelf accidentally so a new lot would have to brought out, or just sing Happy Birthday to it.. there was a plate of scrambled egg that, we avoided, so went for the safe option of toast and jam with machine coffee and juice from a shop bought jar with the screw on lid.. and risked a couple of pastries Like I said at the start, for the price, you have a clean and comfortable bed, and even have the option of breakfast in the morning.. it’s just somewhere we personally wouldn’t choose to return to.. we’re sure it will continue to be full through the year.. what I couldn’t get is how there are 30+ higher graded hotels than this in town??

The good… Location - right on the beach, which is a very nice beach. Rooms/facilities - generally pretty good Breakfast - good The bad… We were here end of season with our kids for October half term. Many of the activities for the kids are not on this week (no evening activities) and the hotels Italian restaurant is not open as it is used for the buffet with the mosaic restaurant having been closed. In addition the service has been pretty poor, and definitely not of 5* quality. There are numerous small grumbles such as having to set own place for breakfast on two consecutive days by collecting place mats and cutlery from partially used tables as there were no tables laid out for breakfast after being asked to sit in the lobby as the main restaurant was full, room service trays sitting outside room without being collected for over 24 hours, the pool being practically arctic in temperature amongst others, but we would probably have lived with those grumbles if it hadn’t been for the experience we have just had in the a la crate Cape Nao restaurant (hosted in the level due to weather) To provide some balance we ate there two nights in a row. The first night we ordered a paella which we were told would take about half an hour which we were of course totally fine with. Lovely meal and booked again for the next day. We ate there tonight and the experience has pretty much ruined our evening. Our kids ordered chicken which arrived at about half 7, about 10 minutes after ordering. However we then waited another 45 minutes for the burger and burrata salad that myself and wife had ordered to arrive. This was an excessively long wait (almost an hour from ordering) and then the wrong order came out for my wife with a steak rather than burger. We sent it back but then had to wait another 20 minutes for a lone burger which quite comedically we saw brought out by two separate members of the waiting team who wandered around the room with it looking puzzled before the waiter who was looking after us realized it was ours and bought it over. It was unfortunately cold by then. How long does it take to cook a burger and make a salad? Basically it’s so very close to being a really excellent hotel but unfortunately it is the details and the service that lets it down. We have had a great time and menorca particularly at this time of year is beautiful but my honest assessment of this hotel is that it definitely is not really up to expectations for a 5* resort and we have been left a little disappointed by the hotel.

It is a bit difficult to get there, yes, and it is likely that in high season it will be very difficult to park. Remarkable breakfast. We had a wonderful 7 night stay here ( now called The Osprey). We arrived on the 9/7/23. Our room was ready, staff on reception very helpful. Safety deposit boxes in rooms no weekly charge just €5.00 deposit. You can also borrow pool towels for €10.00 deposit ( refunded when returned). I am also advised that you can borrow a kettle and an iron. The room itself was lovely, clean nice towels and bedding etc. Room also has a mini fridge. The Bar/ restaurant lovely with amazing views. Nice pool and sun beds etc again very clean. Bar/ restaurant staff all lovely, very attentive & an absolute credit to the hotel. We ate there & honestly we weren’t disappointed. I would completely recommend staying/ eating at the hotel. We would definitely return!

I was a little septic, especially in the field of sound insonorization, and I am very pleasantly surprised because the residence is very quiet (we are in July), The hotel was very comfortable and very clean and the apartment was very clean and the staff was very nice. The beds are made at the arrival, not extra, and the wallpapers are changed to the living area. The sound of chairs that can be heard is really related to the fact that people don't pay attention ... It is located 100 metres from a small cricket with 3 bars and restaurants and ideally located from all shops and Cuidadla that is The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. The first residence of Pierre and Vacances I see is so well held!

Family of 4 with a 7 and 4 year old. Stayed for a week in July, booked self-catering superior room which was lovely but no oven, just microwave and hob. Booked splash park with our room so no need to go to reception each day- kids would have spent all day at the splash park! Special mention to the lifeguards there who entertained the kids and were just so friendly, like all the staff, from reception to cleaning crew and waiting staff. So close to the beach- we went every day and highlight of the holiday was seeing the turtles at the far end of the beach. Supermarket is just a couple of minutes walk and very well stocked- fresh bread every day. Have seen some reviews about steep hill- our apartment was uphill but not steep and only a few minutes walk from reception. Beautiful location and so quiet at night, which we really appreciated! Would love to visit again!

The most relaxing holiday we have had for such a long time. This quiet resort only has two hotels. The Tirant Playa hotel is comprised of accommodation blocks only two levels high, all apartments with beautiful views across the inlet with the sun shining by day and setting in the evening giving a beautiful glow across the hills. The beach is a joy with a long stretch of shallow water and if you walk around the inlet, you will see turtles basking in the sun. Carry on walking and you come to a section of the Cami de Cavalls, a walking route that circles the island. Back at our lovely apartment, there is an amazing large pool, with a sparkling clean restaurant providing drinks and meals and attended by lovely staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Loved their positive attitude. Similarly, the staff at reception were there to help with all requests. We felt relaxed and cared for. And last but not least our rooms were immaculate with fresh towels every other day; even lovely beach towels provided on The kitchen was well equipped with a new microwave and hob; there was loads of storage space for kitchen items, clothes and paraphernalia. Tut is a 30/40 minute walk into Fornells, a small harbour town with gorgeous restaurants and there is a timely bus service if you want to visit the larger towns on the island. Absolutely loved TRH Tirant Playa and we can’t wait to return.

What a lovely hotel! We booked only 2 weeks before our holiday and emailed the hotel to request a room with a pool view and happily we were in a really nice location. I did feel the restaurant was more like a cafeteria and very brightly lit. On our first evening we were left to find a table when it was really busy. It's always nice to be greeted by someone when you arrive. There was plenty of choice for hot and cold meals. We walked to the marina each evening and as others have said it is a 15/20 minute walk from the hotel. Depends how fast you walk!! The cleaning staff are brilliant and cleaned our room every day. The pools and grounds are well looked after also. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
