|1.22km from city centerNice location on a side street within easy reach of the bridges between Ortiga and Syracuse. Close to the Ortiga market and great ice cream nearby. Comfortable room although slightly odd design with a very long but quite narrow bathroom. Had some difficulty closing the bathroom window which made the first night a bit noisy. Good hairdryer provided. The building is quite quirky so if you're lucky enough to go when the roof terrace is available for breakfast it involves a bit of an expedition up different staircases, along corridors and a final winding stair up. But it's well worth the journey as views from the terrace are gorgeous and a really lovely place to sit & people watch. Not much spare space to actually set out breakfast but they maximise what they do have and the cheesecake and tarts in particular were delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful and city maps available if you're doing detailed exploring. Overall a very good stay & would recommend. A little better soundproofing in the rooms against both internal and external noise would be useful.

It had windows that were frosted but we could not see outside. There was no mirror in bedroom but there was an iron and ironing board ( that was a plus). Bathroom was big but shower was slippery. The staff both at reception and at breakfast were extremely efficient, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was disappointing, too many wishy washy things and hot breakfast was extra. We asked for beach towels and we had to rent those. For the price of this hotel you would expect some things to be given to you as a matter of course. Jacuzzi was never used on the roof top garden and never saw any staff up there to offer any service. Parking was available for free but once you moved it was pot luck to find one again.

|1.68km from city centerMy wife and I spent 3 nights at this old convent in Ortigia, the old part of Siracusa. We were given a room on the third floor, with a small balcony overlooking the Ionian sea and, to the north, Etna looming in the distance behind the city (about 50 miles away). I believe this room had the best view of any place we’ve stayed. David and Cinzia at the front desk were extremely helpful, and recommended several good restaurants during our stay. This hotel was an ideal base for us to explore Siracusa by foot, or to just hang out and enjoy the view from our balcony. If you manage to get a room with a sea view, sunrise is not to be missed!

|12.58km from city centerAfter reading some of the reviews, I was a little worried about what the experience would be like. However, from the arrival, the staff were friendly and professional as well as being efficient. The rooms we had (three couples) were in the modern part of the hotel, overlooking the golf course with the pool to the front. They were all clean and well appointed with most things you'd need for a few days break. The service for the one dinner we had was great (especially the restaurant manager (Marco?) in a busy and pretty dining room, the food was good, not great but good and reasonably priced. Breakfasts were good with a good variety but I would agree with some of the other comments that freshly pressed orange juice would have been good to have. Lunch near the club house was nice but as many people finished playing gold at a similar time it could get busy and the service was sometimes a bit hit and miss but as the staff were friendly we found it more amusing that irritating. There was one waitress who looked very stressed and needed to smile a bit more! The pool which we though would be closed was actually open and we were able to swim along with quite a few others, it was missing a lifeguard which we were told about but that was not a problem (a bit chilly in October).The pool and surrounding area was lovely and well set out. Pool bar was shut as it was out of season. I has a massage which was excellent and reasonable priced however, the actual spa needs a bit of an update and was quite damp in places. Unfortunately the Turkish bath did not have heating (broken) but looked lovely. Overall, beautiful building and grounds (don't play golf so can't comment on the course but those that did thought it was ok), in a peaceful and tranquil position-bit expensive if you want to go to Syracuse (recommended) but then we knew it was roughly 20 minutes away (taxi for 6 was 60 euros). Staff were great and I'm glad we spent a long weekend there.

|1.15km from city centerLa struttura ricettiva è posizionata appena fuori dall’Ortigia, questo consente di visitarla con una certa facilità ed inoltre consente di parcheggiare la macchina nella zona in parcheggi gratuiti. il b&b si trova al secondo piano senza ascensore, anche se dotato di un montacarichi per i soli bagagli utilizzabile solo in presenza del responsabile. La camera ed il bagno sono spaziosi, ed in parte rinnovati, dotata di un piccolo terrazzino, nel mio caso, vista mare. Avendo trascorso una sola notte non posso esprimermi per molto di più, comunque un buon posto per visitare Ortigia.

The hotel appears to be fairly recently renovated and our room was spacious with a well-functioning AC. We also enjoyed the large in-room breakfast in the morning. Other perks include the street cafe on the first floor of the hotel. We had a great cocktail hour there watching people walk the streets. It is also easy to get anywhere on the island from this spot. A few tips - we drove our cars and the hotel was a tad hard to find. I'd advise dropping off your bags and planning to go quickly to the public parking area about 10-15 min walk away. I would say its a tad expensive compared to other hotels of similar quality we stayed in throughout Sicily. All in, a nice pleasant spot in a good location.

But i promised to sing its praises - so i shall… It’s a real gem of a place - exactly as the description says, full of antiques and art and dripping in an effortlessly elegant, palatial, charm. Our early arrival didnt phase the reception staff, on the contrary, Francesca warmly assured us our room would be ready an hour before check-in time. Complimentary drinks offered by the drlightful Erminia and served on the grape vine festooned terrace helped ease our frazzled spirits and sink us into the calm, quiet elegance that is Henrys House. We had a city facing room which was modestly sized but with everything we needed to be comfortable. Towels plus beachtowels and parasols were an unexpected perk. Bathroom was gorgeous and clean. The fact there are several sea facing sheltered terraces to sit on meant we felt able to meander, spread out, and chill with the most fabulous sea views at every turn. Its a perfect ‘watching the sunset’ spot - best on the island i think. Breakfasts were quite simply fantastic. And im gluten free celiac so frequently have to put up with inferior options, but not here. The buffet choice was extensive, suitable for carnivores and veggies and celiacs. The artwork and interior styling added to its sense of ‘old glamour - tastefully re-envisioned’ and the ambience throughout was relaxed, peaceful and totally welcoming. Francescas skilled assistance and care when we had flight issues was amazing. She went above and beyond to help sort out the issues, allowing us to continue enjoying our final day there. Sadly three nights wasnt enough, so i shall just have to return 🤗🙏❤️

It was a difficult day because my wife was not feeling well so their professionalism put us at ease. The room was great (205) with a balcony and sea view. It was scrupulously clean and comfortable. The morning of our departure my wife was still not feeling well so I asked for a late check out. Lasindu, a top notch hospitality pro, first said another arrival was coming and an extra half hour was all they could manage. But a few minutes later he knocked on our door and gave us another 90 minutes. What a relief! Service with a smile while going the extra mile…a very good experience!

They were extremely accommodating - due to our travel schedule, we arrived before the normal check-in time and needed to leave before reception opens for check-out on our last day. The B&B prepared a room an hour before normal check-in AND allowed us to pay our bill and leave keys in the room before the normal check-out period. We were really pleased with the service they provided during our stay. As for the hotel itself, the rooms and common areas were very clean and tidy during our stay. We booked just a normal double room and while it was small, it was clean with a comfortable bed, great air conditioning, and a full-sized bathroom. The breakfast was very nice, mostly pastries and fresh fruit with coffee. The terrace is lovely and provides a great view of the harbor. They also keep it open all day if you want to just relax up there outside of breakfast hours. Lastly, it is in a great location right along the water in Ortigia. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

The location of the hotel is good, it is very convenient to go to Ortiga Island and the city center. The owner of the hotel was very enthusiastic and took the initiative to guide us to the scenic route and introduced us a very delicious Mediterranean restaurant. As a family hotel, the rooms are clean and tidy, which of course cannot be compared with large hotels. Mainly in terms of facilities.

It comes with a private pier where you could board on a comfortable boat going to Ortigia (the old town) in half an hour. The landscape there looks so gorgeous that anyone who lives in this hotel should miss it. It also has a private beach which can be accessed through a private tunnel which is quite interesting. Overall, a very beautiful resort overlooking the ortigia with very friendly services and 5-star facilities.

|11.95km from city centerTravelling on a ten day holiday Sicily jewel of the Mediterranean with Titan Travel flying from Gatwick airport to Catania were we where met by our guide Denise and driver Claudio and taken to the Eureka Palace hotel for a three nights stay. Being a solo traveler the room is very important my room was spacious, comfortable and I had a lovely balcony which looked out onto a racecourse which was very interesting watching the horses in training with riders or buggies each morning, we were a group of 40 travellers the evening meal’s were set menu but the food not very good, the breakfasts were excellent buffet style you could choose what to eat plenty of choices, the staff were very friendly and helpful but they did seem to be rushing around covering other areas of the hotel. During our stay we visited Syracuse, Ortigia, Noto, Ragusa, Modica. On departure from the hotel I paid my hotel room tax at reception, staff were very friendly and helpful I enjoyed my stay.

The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast selection was perfect for me - fresh croissants, bread, fruit juice, and coffee. I enjoyed the stroll along Corso Umberto to get to Ortigia, which is the main bustling crowded historical island. I knew it was a popular destination, but even so I was a bit surprised at the huge number of tourists! However, it's possible to amble along side streets and find some quiet areas. Grazie, Giuseppe, and everyone else whose names I didn't get, for the warm and friendly welcome.

I'm still walking around at the door, the charming lady at the front desk will come out and I will take it in. There is a public parking lot at the door, and you can also use the hotel's valet parking for 30 euros a night! The breakfast is also good!
The shortcomings must be said, that is, slightly tired, the room is on two floors

|1.23km from city centerWe stayed during a TUI tour of Sicily and this was evidently chosen because it was very cheap. There was another TUI tour group staying on the same night, so it was clearly catering for this market. The Hotel - it was dated and the rooms were in a terrible state, with furniture broken, an unpleasant smell and the bathroom flooded with water after using the shower. The Staff - rude and unhelpful, in particular on reception. I note that they say English is a language that they cater for, but they refused to make any effort to communicate in it at all. The Food - awful, unless you think that a spoon of risotto, a mackerel fillet, spoon of iceburg lettuce and slice of watermelon makes an acceptable meal. That's the problem with an inclusive package i guess. Dreadful hotel to steer well clear of. I am surprised that TUI are using it - they must have a lot of negative feedback.

It is more suitable for the whole family to travel together. The breakfast is very rich, and it is not compliant with a five-star hotel. If the check out is too early, the hotel will prepare a take away breakfast in advance.
The only thing to note is that the front desk is not staffed 24 hours a day. If you arrive too late, it is best to greet the hotel in advance.

Pulizia molto scarsa: ditate, schizzi, macchie, polvere,ecc...Cosa gravissima il condizionatore: sporco, pieno di polvere e muffa nelle alette, e rappezzato con la carta stagnola, pericolosissimo e dannosissimo per la salute, non credo proprio sia stato sanificato e manutentato come per legge; manca anche il telecomando per cui si può solo scegliere con un tasto a parete accanto alla porta se accendere o spegnere. La colazione a prima vista sembrava discreta ma...Altra cosa gravissima, nella bottiglia in vetro con il succo per la colazione c'era dentro la muffa. Le posate erano in un raccoglitore sotto un tavolino dove ognuno tocca le posate che useranno gli altri. Sempre in barba all'igiene le asciugamani e le lenzuola ”pulite” prima di essere sistemate nelle camere vengono lasciate sui divanetti esterni ovviamente non proprio puliti, ed addirittura sui divani nella sala d'attesa sulle scale, ed anche il vano dove sono stipate, durante le pulizie mattutine, è lasciato aperto ed alla mercé... Viaggio con un bambino piccolo e queste cose mi hanno innervosita parecchio!!! Ho dovuto stare anche attenta che non si facesse male perché le sedie fuori al terrazzino comune sono rotte. Ora capisco perché vogliono il pagamento anticipato per intero prima di accedere alla camera... La stanza non ha frigo bar (che con il caldo estivo siciliano non mi sembra comodo!!!), la TV ha il decoder e quindi 2 telecomandi, e nella nostra camera matrimoniale c'era un solo comodino, l'altro era arrangiato con un trabiccolo scomodo e piccolo (e discutibilmente pulito anche quello) di plastica. La parte bassa del muro accanto al letto ha l'intonaco scrostato che trasuda umidità (la parete confina con bagno). Potrei continuare ancora ma... Credo si sia capito il quadro d'insieme... L'unica nota positiva è stata che ci hanno dato la stanza in tarda mattinata e non alle 14 come previsto. Ci tengo a precisare che nei giorni precedenti abbiamo alloggiato in un'altra struttura vicina che era perfetta (pulitissima e con tutti i confort) e che abbiamo pagato anche qualche spicciolo meno, solo che abbiamo dovuto prolungare di una notte e lì non c'era più posto, così come non c'è paragone!!! Quindi c'è mooolto di meglio in zona!!! Anche per questa fascia di prezzo (89€ a notte, pernottamento e colazione). Do 2 stelle perché in giro c'è anche di peggio, ma di sicuro non ci tornerei mai.

The hotel is very friendly, the newly renovated rooms are beautiful and clean. It is also very good breakfast with local products. One side of the ground floor has a sealed window wall and the air cannot be changed.

The hotel was clean and a good reasonable option. There are a few flights of stairs to reach the rooms but Mario who as very helpful, was happy to assist with our suitcases. Travellers with cars will find this a good option with free street parking available in walking distance. We were able to leave out car there for our few days, once you find a park!

The location is ideal for a few days in Syracusa. We did the hop on hop off tour, a boat tour and saw the sights. Plenty of great restaurants close by, some look classier than others but all had very good food and service, including the hotel restaurant. Don Antonio, Cod da Saretta and La Bracioletteria were all worth visiting. — would visit them all again. The room was a good size an and the bathroom a little small as is often the case in Italy. The bed was very comfortable and the AC was perfect. Noise in the streets starts at 6 am — a small price to pay for the location and was not a real problem for us. Parking is difficult but there is a well organized private car park close by for €20 per day — book before you travel but if you can with todays prices it might be easier and cheaper with shuttles and taxis.

Freshly squeezed orange juice and strong espresso . Kiko provided a tour of the Greek archeological remains on the property . Both he and Tamara are just so warm and welcoming with jovial natures . The property is next to a natural reserve and you can walk along a trail of papyrus. It’s an oasis of nature, away from the noise of cities. The property is very large a walking tour will find you watching roosters, chickens , goats and a horse. Villa dei Papiri was a highlight of our trip in Sicily . Easy access to Siracusa .

The reception facility, reception time is different from a hotel, you need to call the owner to give you keys and instructions to enter and exit the residence, located in the back court.
