The hotel gives a date feeling, but we find it absolutely no problem. Friendship of the staff, the choice at breakfast, dinner in the restaurant. All is very good. Rooms are spacious, delicious calm so the window can be deliciously open. The hotel is very comfortable and clean towels every day. We have left the car 3 days and have gone to the centre by bus. Buss stop before the door, ideal. We find this hotel a absolute recommender.

The hotel is located in the West Park of Dublin. Due to the self-driving tour, the hotel is equipped with free parking spaces. It is also very convenient to drive to the city. There are no restaurants nearby and can only be driven by car. But the hotel has some simple meals such as pizza. It is not more than 25 minutes to drive to the airport two mornings.

We booked Castleknock hotel for out Honeymoon trip to Ireland. It was far enough out of the Dublin city center, that I felt relaxed and had fresh air, but close enough that busing or taking a taxi into the city center was very easy! We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the hotel breakfast and other restaurants on site!

Room was lovely and clean, staff were friendly. The hotel is located just across the road from Kilmainham Jail, where I’d definitely recommend a tour. There’s also shops for snacks and some cafes around the area too.

The location was great for my purpose, I had some business to attend to in Fonthill and the hotel was a stone's throw away. Still needed to drive but it was a 5min drive. It is also walking distance from Liffey Valley shopping mall. Its a typical large mall with decent restaurants and a cinema. The hotel is connected to a fitness centre (like a health club) and it offers a gym and swimming pool. Entry is free for hotel guests. Go early, the pool gets crowded after 8.30am. There is ample parking and it's available at a concessionary rate. My only grouse was the lack of toiletries provided. Thankfully I had brought my own set. The toilet only has hand soap and shampoo (but the dispenser was almost empty). Other than that, the room was spacious, clean and the bed was quite comfortable. Worth staying at if you need to be in that area.

Hotel outside the city, the only solution on Easter day for under € 130 per double room. Very clean and welcoming, a bit like all the ibis chains. We had lunch at the restaurant downstairs having arrived late .... Eat there only if you have no other choice, all frozen and very bad. Otherwise location close to the highway but overall quiet all night. To go to the city you need a bus and then a tram, perhaps not very comfortable but feasible. Overall I would say 4/5.

A genuinely fantastic hotel. Great location, very close to Heuston station and the Luas right out front of the hotel. Staff were very friendly. We arrived in around mid night and even though the bar was closed they still offered to get my partner a Guinness and delivered it to the room. Room was very large and the best was AMAZING! Would highly recommend this hotel.

I totally recommend this Hotel if Your looking for Awesome Staff,Awesome Food&Fabulous Rooms. Taxi from outside Hotel to Lusa Stop €9.60 & about 15mins to City Center on the Tram. This Hotel CANT be Beaten on Price either. You’re also in a beautiful side of the City. We will definitely be back for another stay. I Hope this review helps You when Your thinking of booking Your Stay. Every Customer are made feel extra special no matter what You’ve come to the Hotel for. Top marks all round for The Louis Fitzgerald.

I stayed for four nights with my teenage daughter on a mother-daughter trip. Got a great rate booking a few months in advance, and I am so impressed with the value received for the price. We were given a room with two beds on the top floor facing the courtyard- it was quiet and comfortable. I brought earplugs after reading some reviews about noise, but we didn’t need them. The bathroom was updated and the shower was great- hot and nice pressure. The beds were a little “creaky” but comfortable, and the linens were cozy. The hotel staff were helpful, the restaurant was good for breakfast (although we chose to eat elsewhere most mornings) and Darkey Kelly’s pub on the first floor had great food and music. The location is fantastic- we were able to walk pretty much anywhere we wanted to go. I really can’t find a single fault with this hotel for the price. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel was an excellent choice , a week before our stay the hotel contacted myself to confirm we were still planning on visiting I mentioned in my reply that it was a surprise trip for my wife's 50th and we were greeted in our room with a birthday card and box of chocolates for my wife . But this was typical of the excellent service the hotel and staff provided during our stay , the hotel was clean and decorated to a high standard . The rooms were comfortable and clean and were serviced well , breakfast was excellent plenty of choice and the food in the restaurant in the evening was excellent quality . The hotel is in an excellent position for ease of access to the airport or city center of Dublin and both are accessed by a regular and frequent inexpensive bus service or the slightly more energetic it's a 30 min walk to the city . We will definitely be returning and will recommend to our friends and family

The sanitation is very good, the room layout is reasonable and neat, far from the city, but the downstairs is the starting point of the tram, it is very convenient to go to the airport, the 747 and 757 are separated by a small block on the south side of the hotel. 7 euros direct to the airport. It seems that green apples are available every day in the corridor. The restaurant bar is good and there is an open-air balcony outside.

Had to argue to not get charged for a meal I didn’t have at the restaurant when checking out. Staff was friendly but maybe something fishy going on in the restaurant. That being said we had a few drinks at the bar and it was very nice.

Beautiful hotel in a peaceful and gorgeous part of Dublin. A few minutes walk away from the Green Line LUAS. The more compact bedrooms are a bit on the small side for a couple, but they’re still well appointed, very new and clean, and comfortable. The hotel bar is cosy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the lack of parking, you’ll have to park onstreet at fairly considerable expense. Not really the fault of the hotel, but it is something to note if you’re driving here.
