We were lucky to have the room with balcony Canal Grande and sea view. The staff are educated and available at any time, since the reception is present h24. Good breakfast and on request you can ask for more than you are prepared at the moment by the room manager.

|6.9km from city centerWe stayed here for a week in June for a friend’s wedding nearby. Great location on the sea front. The location is a few miles outside of Trieste so a taxi is needed to and from the city. Better to have a hire car: the hotel has plenty of parking. The breakfast is well managed and a great choice of delicious food served in the lovely restaurant. We had dinner there once; the food was good. Our room had a balcony with great views, though there is often a lot of traffic and noise from cars and motorcycles. But lovely sea views. The room service and cleaning was quick, unobtrusive and immaculate every time, so a big thank you to housekeeping. Reception team are stars. They coped well with everything we asked (in English as we hardly speak any Italian) and were super helpful, even recovering my mobile phone which I stupidly left in a taxi. Also, every morning the reception and dining room team welcomed us with smiles and greetings. A great hotel, I’d be happy to recommend and to stay here again.

|0.91km from city centerI was in this BNB for a night with my boyfriend, the location is his strong point, two steps from the station and near the sea and the center, great to visit everything walking in a day. We appreciated the self-check in which allowed us to get and manage independently.The palace is ancient and inevitably smells strong when you enter, but the rooms and common spaces are modern and well maintained. The facility offers a hot drink and caramel machine to welcome guests, while breakfast products are always available in the kitchen. There are posters on each desk that indicate their content and maps of the city with the tourist attractions. The room is spacious and well maintained, with an additional couch and covers in the box, if necessary. The comfortable and soft bed, the new and quality beds and the double glasses perfectly insonorize external noises. The bathroom, in our case, was private but outside the room, also clean and with a powerful phone (very useful if you have long hair), soap for hands and two different types of shower shampoo. The handwheels are also available, and we would like to advise anyone who wants to stay in this beautiful city. The only advice from us would be to make available a salty breakfast alternative, as the sweet choice is much more than abundant. ☺️

During the day the breakfast room also serves as the hotel guest lounge. There are complimentary pastries, tea and a coffee machine available here for hotel guests throughout the day. It is a relaxing place to sit and refresh. The hotel staff are friendly, polite and helpful. In front of the hotel is a small shop where you can buy a 24 hour bus ticket for three euros. Many of the local sites are accessible using public transport. There are plenty of restaurants surrounding the hotel. It is a five minute walk to the the old town.

There is absolutely everything you need here. I arrived late at night and when I walked out onto the breakfast room the following room found myself saying wow at the view on the stunning Piazza. I choose this hotel because I had always wanted to stay there in Trieste, I did return for a second stay and I would stay there again. You are close to the sea, the historical centre, numerous bars and restaurants, shopping and tourist hotspots. The rooms are lovely, majestically clean. Breakfast are a relaxing experience you do not want to hurry because why would you with that view around you. The bar is the place to be throughout the day and also acts as an informal restaurant throughout the day. Formal is also available but that was not my choice. Rooms were large comfortable and very clean with the best amenities provided. Book your stay, you know you want to!

|0.69km from city centerThe apartment is located in a beautiful old building, in excellent location, just a few minutes from the Canale Grande/Vecchio. Very clean and ordently. Clean textiles. spacious. Once a week, a basic cleaning and replacement of bed linen and towels takes place. The bathroom is beautiful and well equipped. However, only the most necessary and simple is available. About standard articles such as. Wrists or tops are to be asked extra. In addition, the noise from the kitchen is unfortunately very noisy and disturbs significantly during sleep (therm and extremely noisy refrigerator). At my request, the heat was closed at night, nothing happened. The air conditioning works, but is extremely noisy during operation. The refrigerator was wrongly set and is poorly designed. The condensation water runs under the vegetable box and, by increasing it, ensures that the door is almost impossible to close, which is blocked. Problems such as the wrong setting of the refrigerator or the defected toilet washing box were quickly fixed by the staff. Partly, the walls could be removed and some items (e.g. beans in the bathroom) could be replaced.
The staff takes care of it, but you don't feel very welcome as a guest. It is provided a service to the guest with the necessary courtesy. All beyond that is not considered necessary.
Concluded: good accommodation in top position, best suited for unexpected and short stays. For me too expensive with these shortcomings. With a little effort you could improve the stay of guests a little bit and make it beautiful. Shame that so little customer connection is operated.

|1.24km from city centerPer chiarezza, suddivido la mia valutazione in due parti. PUNTI di FORZA - L'hotel è un ottimo 4 stelle se parliamo di colazione. Semplicemente splendida, qualità eccelsa del buffet e location (saletta della colazione) curatissima e che profuma di pulito, così come tutta la hall. - Personale molto cortese che trattiene i bagagli prima e dopo il check-in/out e che fornisce tutte le indicazioni di cui un turista necessita. - E' possibile parcheggiare gratuitamente lungo la strada: i parcheggi sono molti e vicinissimi all'albergo (abbiamo parcheggiato di fronte al cancello). PUNTI di DEBOLEZZA - La struttura è ubicata ad una buona ventina di minuti a piedi in discesa (o in salita) dal centro cittadino e fin qui nulla di negativo se si amano le zone meno centrali e meno affollate. Tuttavia, per noi la zona non è affatto risultata tranquilla: di notte, pur con finestre quasi chiuse, abbiamo avvertito un frequente via vai di auto, a tratti anche davvero fastidioso, dato che la camera dava sul lato stradale. - La nostra stanza, purtroppo, non è stata affatto all'altezza di un 4 stelle. Non era molto spaziosa, non disponeva di balcone, l'aria condizionata sembrava non raffreddare l'ambiente (soffiava aria non rinfrescata, nonostante il telecomando fosse regolato correttamente) e il frigobar era scarsamente rifornito (abbiamo trovato le crostatine in stile Mulino Bianco...). Per non parlare poi della porta con serratura difettosa (rimaneva appoggiata, chiusa, ma pur sempre parecchio ”traballante” se si spingeva) e del bagno con calorifero un po' arrugginito, stipite della porta marcio nella parte che tocca la piastrella, di fianco alla doccia, e muro macchiato (sia in bagno che di fianco al letto)... oltretutto, la doccia era veramente molto stretta. - Infine, nota un po' più dolente, abbiamo fatto presente quanto scritto sopra alla reception, ma non è stato proposto né un cambio camera, né un eventuale sconto per il disguido... insomma, non si tratta di un comportamento da hotel 4 stelle... Ci ritorneremmo a patto di qualche intervento migliorativo...

The rooms are not up-to-date, but dignified and with the minimum comforts satisfied. The only flaw, in my opinion, is the mattress which I personally found a bit too low and soft (subjective consideration)! Reception staff very courteous and helpful!

|0.74km from city centerCheck in was less than 2 minutes, we told the receptionist our name & they gave us a key to our room as payment is on check out. The 2nd & 3rd floor of this apartment block is the hotel, the reception was on the 2nd floor & our room was on the 3rd floor. There is a lift to get up and down if needed. The room was very clean and the bathroom is white marble tiled which was very stylish. The bed was comfy too but could hear noises of the cleaner around 10am or so both mornings. The hotel was about a 10 minute walk to the center of Piazza Unità d'Italia & 6 minutes to the bus station. The lobby into the building definitely needs lights that stay on as the current lights turn off after 15 seconds or so. There is also construction going on outside the bedroom windows.

|0.35km from city centerWe had some issues getting to the hotel due to the very slow passport control at Trieste airport and so turned up about 12:30 in the morning. Once we found the hotel we rang the bell several times and did not notice the sign stating that if closed go to the Intercontinental on the other side of the pedestrian area. The receptionist came across and guided us to the other hotel where we booked in and then he came across, showed us the key to get in and up to the lift where we went up to our suite. The suite was a good size with a microwave, fridge, kettle, pots and pans etc. The room was clean and the bed comfortable and the room was quiet so we got a good nights sleep. The breakfast is in the other hotels' restaurant but it is less than a minute to walk across to it. Breakfast choice was not great - you have to choose your breakfast from a menu and it would have been better to have a buffet type. The hotel was quite expansive and I did not feel that it was worth the cost.
