2.52km from Papa Bills RibsI have stayed hundreds of nights in various Motel 6's and Studio 6's and have always had a great experience... Until now. I had a reservation guaranteed with a credit card. I was driving home to FL from NJ, checking in 6/5/18 checking out 6/6/18. I arrived at 12:30am. I give the woman at the front desk my name and she says she has no room reservation (I don't know her name as she wasn't wearing a name tag and never offered it). I pull out my confirmation and show it to her. She says, no problem we have rooms we can get you one. I ask her to make sure I get the rate in my reservation. She tells me that no I can't have that rate I have to have the rate as if I just walked in the door. I explain that it is not my fault they lost my reservation and they should honor the price. She tells me it is the fault of whoever I booked through for not entering the reservation. But I explain I booked direct though the Motel6 website, so she tells me to call the reservation line. I do that, and this is my favorite part, they put me on hold and call HER! She tells them that her general manager cancelled the reservation (not what she told me) and that she won't honor the price. He comes back on the line and says there is nothing he can do. So please explain to me why she told me to call in the first place. Then she tells me there is a Motel6 3 exits away I should try there. Why would they honor my reservation if the location I made it at won't? It is now about 1am I've been driving all day and am tired. She tells me that the mistake wasn't her fault so she shouldn't have to solve it. I tell her that it is the fault of Motel6 and she is their representative and should make it right. She then accuses me of lying on the reservation by saying it was for 1 person to get a lower rate (I was traveling with my husband). I show her the reservation again and it clearly says 2 adults. After reviewing the reservation a second time she realizes that she can match the rate, plus tax. Yes, I knew the reservation had tax, it said so right on the confirmation. If she bothered to read it the first time we could have saved 40 min of my time. But all she was interested in was deflecting blame and encouraging me to go away. So now it is 1:10am. We get to the room and get to bed (not the room type I reserved, she didn't have any). Then at 2:10am the room phone rings and wakes me up, no one on the line. Then at 2:17am it happens again, this time I leave the phone off the hook. I am quite certain it was the girl at the front desk being petty.
