      Hotel is a little hidden in its location, but definitely stands out. Clean property, enough parking, decent sized lobby. Check in was handled by the staff very quickly and they had great attitudes. The entire hotel was clean throughout, The gym was nice, plenty of hot coffee if needed and the hotel is located near so many stores and restaurants. Big comfortable room, quiet, and great shower with good water pressure. Breakfast in the morning was very good with both hot and cold options and plenty of supply. The manager walked around during breakfast asking everyone if they needed anything and if they were happy with the hotel. I look forward to staying here on my next trip to town.

      I stayed here for two nights to help move my daughter out of college and to go to the dentist. I lived in Ashburn for over 20 years so I know this area very well. It's very popular with flight crews as it is only a short drive from Dulles airport. We come through town often and I chose this hotel because they aren't charging for parking - I refuse to do that in a suburban setting. In a nutshell, this property needs a lot of TLC. In our first room, the handle literally fell off of the toilet. I went to the front desk and was asked if I broke it or if it was like that when we went into the room. We were moved to a new room across the hall. In the new room, the toilet ran all night because it needed a rebuild (not just the replacement flapper engineering put in the next day). One of our keys did not work to open the door and I was told that the issue was that the batteries needed to be replaced in the lock. It did not solve the problem and thankfully, the other key worked just fine. The front desk offered to move us again which I declined and told me to report the issues again in the morning. We didn't need or particuarly want them, but we were never offered the cookies that Doubletree is supposedly known for. I was handed a bag with water bottles for being a Diamond member but it was never mentioned. There were additional issues in the room. One was the shower. There used to be tubs which were removed. There are now glass shower doors. The piece that is supposed to not move, moves. This is a serious safety issue and needs to be addressed by re-installing the door. The headboard is covered in a fake leather/vinyl which is peeling. There are snags in the carpeting and you must wear socks or other footwear. Our white socks were covered in dirt after walking around the room. We experienced no noise whatsoever (except for from the toilet), despite being in the flight path for the airport. I thought the morning front desk staff were excellent both days I had interactions with them. Also, the breakfast/bar staff were super friendly and efficient. If it wasn't included, we would have skipped breakfast (we did skip the first morning) but felt it was good quality (although not worth $15 if you are paying out of pocket and not in a rush - do yourself a favor and it's a short drive to Famous Toastery). Given that there are many other properties in the area in better condition, I'll most likely choose to stay elsewhere on future trips. With some basic maintenance though, I would readily change that opinion.

      My mom and I have stayed twice at the Springhill Suites Dulles Airport and we could not imagine staying anywhere else ahead of our travels. Manal Hanna, the General Manager has created a fantastic team of caring, attentive, and service-oriented staff that go the extra mile to ensure a comfortable stay for their guests. Bob, the property's Engineer deserves a GOLD star for the amazing service he provided when our a/c was not working correctly. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and happy...thank you, Bob! Ms. Hanna is a true gem- others GMs can learn a lot by how she leads her team and takes care of her guests. The Double Double room is spacious, spotless, and quiet- all qualities I appreciate as an avid traveler and as a loyal Titanium member. The complimentary shuttle to IAD is quick, efficient, and is lead by the friendliest shuttle driver, Travel time is around 10-15 minutes from the hotel to IAD, pending traffic. We can't wait to return back to the Springhill Suites the next time our travels take us back to the skies. This is hands down our "pre-departure" home away from home!

      We stayed at this hotel as part of a parksleepfly package. We were not impressed with the hotel when we checked in. Even though the hotel is non-smoking, there were numerous men hanging out in the parking lot and the smell went into our room. When we arrived back after our flight we were told that their shuttle wasn’t running (we never received any type of prior notification). We were told by the clerk that we would be reimbursed $15 for the taxi ride. However, the taxi ride was $22.04 plus tip. The manager Anil Patel says he didn’t believe us (even though I showed him a picture of the meter). He got very loud and berating and told us he would credit us $22.00 and that we should take our business elsewhere. There are a lot of other nicer hotels in the area. I would recommend spending a few more dollars and staying elsewhere. I would give this hotel a zero rating if possible.
