      Had a fantastic few days in this hotel. It’s set right by the lake with a few shops / restaurants in this sleepy area by the lake. The hotel is very clean and tidy and has a nice bar restaurant attached within it. Breakfast was a nice European style. The evening meals, while I did not eat there the food on the tables did look very good. The bar staff were great English/German was not a problem. A cab from the ferry port was about 12/13 euros. Things to do - there is a boat ride about 200 metres away to take you around the lake or over to the King of Sweden’s place which is beautiful. There is a museum for the Waterman which is built on stilts and sounds like it’s compulsory school trip for young teens was 10Euros and took maybe 60/90 minutes. I’d happily go back for longer rent some bikes and ride around the lake, highly recommended.

      My family and I stayed here in the quaint picturesque town of Meersburg. The hotel is clean and very suitable for young families. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was a family room. Only 3 of us, but could sleep upto 5. It was clean and had a separate toilet and shower. There is no mini fridge or tea/coffee making facility in the room, which we think it could benefit from. We never ate in the restaurant, but had breakfast included with our room rate. It was typical European and enough for us but the choice was smaller than some of the other places we have stayed at. You can park at the back of the hotel for 30 minutes to unload and load. For a 50 euro deposit you then park in a public car park for free. This is only 10 minute walk away and no inconvenience. The hotel is located at the top of the town and only 2 minute drive from the car ferry to Konstanz. There are lots of restaurants around, unfortunately when we went not many were open as they were on winter pause, so beware if you go this time of year. Most come back during March. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Would we stay again? yes we would.

      I was professionally in Constanz with my wife for two days and we wanted a hotel with balcony. When we were looking for we met the guest house Holzer. And I have to say: Fortunately. That was an absolute full hit. The rooms are very clean (is very important to my wife) and modern furnished with TV, bathroom and very good beds :-) We had a covered balcony to the garden. The lake is very close. In November, we are unfortunately going too cold but to walk super beautiful. We will come back to use the wellness offer that, unfortunately, was not allowed to open because of Corona. But a look into the room we were allowed to throw and it makes a look at wellness. Breakfast is corona-related not a buffet but with a card. But everything there. Good resolved in this time.
