I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel in a 2 bedroom suite. Check in went great and the lady who checked us in was excellent and very helpful. As far as the accommodations let me start by saying the sofa bed needs to be replaced it was uncomfortable and the cushions sunk in when you sat in the sofa, had issue with the tv’s not working which I fixed my self and we had no towels in the room for a family of 5. When I called for towels, front sealed advised I had to come down and get them since only one employee on duty at that time. Breakfast was a plus, not the best but good enough. All that I was willing to let go till checkout. At checkout I left an item charging in my room while I at ate breakfast. We checked out and left as we were going north to TN. An hr into my drive I realized I left my GoPro brand new go pro 7 in the room. I immediately called the hotel. I was unable to get through. I tried several times. The next morning I called and got through and was told no items were found. I explained that the item was there and gave the location of were I left it. No question in my mind of were it was. She proceeded to say employees are very good at turning items in. Apparently not since no one seems to know where it went. She said she would write a report and send me a copy of it. That never happened. I contacted corporate and they basically have done nothing to rectify the issue. I have stayed at many Marriott properties and I have never been disappointed as I am now with this property and company as a whole. I pur has es this camera for my family trip days before. The employees who cleaned my room found it and never bothered to turn it in.

The hotel is SPOTLESS-CLEAN and most of the staff are friendly & helpful. Breakfast was very good (in a carry-out box) and the place was overall very comfortable. Even the cleaning staff are great The only "no" was at check-in, when we were served by a "lady" with attitude and clearly hated her job. If I had not pre-paid with a non-refundable booking, we would have definitely left and booked into another hotel, down the road. The woman was 100% sour, never smiled once, and hey .. forget being welcoming I would have most happily provided a 5-star rating, had it not been for Miss Attitude Having said that, all the other counter staff were impeccable !! - Very alive, full of smiles, and clearly enjoy working with guests I will be back, but next time I'm not prepaying - just in case old sour-bags serves me

Danielle welcomed me from her position at the front desk. It was my first visit. When I got to my room, I noticed that the toilet had a little dirt in it. I thought maybe it was a stain. I settled into my room and turned the AC on to cool the room. The unit went on but shut off before the room was cooled. I went to visit Danielle at the front desk. I showed her a picture of the inside of the toilet and told her about the AC. She apologized and nicely moved me to a room across the hall. As I was moving my items from one room to the next, I met Bell, a nice guy who is the engineer (or at least one of them) at the hotel. I told him I was shifting rooms and why. He looked at the room I was leaving and came in to make sure my new room was up to snuff. I told him I was worried about getting the room cool enough for me to sleep comfortably. Bell nicely examined the unit, he made sure all wires were tightly connected and the unit was in good working order, and he said to call him if the room wasn't cooling off in 15 minutes. No need to call. The room was cooling nicely. When I travel, I know that "stuff happens." It happens to all of us. For me it isn't about the little issues I encounter, it is about how the staff responds that makes the difference. Danielle and Bell responded very well and demonstrated that they cared about the customer experience. Well done. See you next time I'm in town.

Starting with our check-in. Tia was pleasant, funny, and seemed genuinely glad that we were there. Insisting if we needed anything to contact her immediately. She live up to that promise, if we needed anything we had no problem. For example the last night of our stay kids were running around upstairs and one phone call took care of it. Next Miss Pat. She does the breakfast. It’s not extravagant but it is breakfast. Your choice of cereals, pastries, I love the lemon poppyseed mini muffins. Hot food choices every morning. I particularly enjoyed the link sausage. Also the fresh oranges were delicious, keep those as a selection. Bananas would be great too. It was clean and clear that Miss Pat is diligent and takes pride in her work. The rooms were adequate, the pillows are not the most comfortable and the bed mattress needs to be replaced soon but we got a comfortable sleep, no aches or pains, no complaints. This was our second stay and I know we will return.(hopefully they will have new mattresses and pillows.)

From the time we checked in until the time we checked out 4 days later, we had a perfect stay. We were greeted by Alexis T. when we first arrived at 9:00 a.m. and even though our rooms weren't available that early, she provided PERFECT customer service. She offered to hold our luggage for us so we could begin to explore downtown.....she did it with a smile and could not have been more welcoming. She also told us that breakfast was still being served and if we would like to partake to please do so. She set the bar very high and is a perfect "face"for the hotel! Our rooms were very clean at check in but we did not ask for our rooms to be cleaned after that. We only asked for clean towels and the housekeeping staff were gracious in giving us the amount we requested. We enjoyed the evening reception (provided 7 nights a week/4:00-7:00 p.m.)held in the lobby one evening. That night they had complimentary chicken wings, chips with artichoke dip and cubed cheese......all hot and very tasty! There was also an acoustic guitar player in the lobby providing very nice music (low volume). The morning breakfast was very well presented as well.....one morning they ran out of bacon - no big deal! This hotel is located a 10 minute walk from all the action on Broadway. Super location! I would 100% stay and recommend this hotel to anyone in need of a hotel while visiting downtown Nashville!

My wife and I were celebrating her birthday last week, and Nashville was where she wanted to go (I certainly didn't mind though). We checked in on Wednesday March 4 for three nights. My first thought of the lobby area was it reminded me of the Contemporary Hotel in Disney World minus the monorail running through it. Our early check-in went smoothly as our room was already available, and it was one facing the park, as we requested. Regarding the room itself, it was overall clean and spacious. Next door at Bridgestone Arena, there was a concert the first evening, a hockey game the next evening, and another concert the last evening. We did hear their noise, but glad we didn't also hear all the music from the other side (rooms facing Broadway). Our check-out experience went well too with no discrepancies in our final bill. For breakfasts, we enjoyed the buffet in the lobby. It was nothing spectacular, but still had all the usual breakfast foods. Our only issue came with the coffee shop where on Thursday March 5, it didn't open until after 7am. It was an issue as we are early risers and were specifically told they opened 6am weekdays. Regardless, I would certainly consider staying here again the next time we're in town.

We spent two nights a week ago traveling for fun as a couple. It was a fantastic experience from our initial contact (the hotel actually called to see if we needed anything for a smooth trip or arrival about a week before we got there, which was a nice touch), to the check in with Elliot who was very helpful and friendly, and then all the way through our stay to our check out. Ellington's has a terrific happy hour and outdoor deck - Wonderful cocktails and appetizers (go for the pimento cheese to wash down with a nice dry martini!). The room is absolutely fantastic. We stayed in a Cherry Suite which is a big larger and has everything you will need. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, and the bathroom large. Morning coffee is excellent in the lobby. The location is terrific - right next to Painter's Alley and a few blocks from Broadway and other sites. The developer and designer did a great job of making a new hotel feel truly vintage. Valet parking is a great way to go. We even had to leave around 5:30 am for the airport, so we called the night before to make sure we could access our car, and they had it pulled up waiting for us. Overall, you can't go wrong staying here. We will make The Fairlane our Nashville hotel for sure!

My husband and I stayed here for our tenth anniversary, and it was definitely memorable! We had to change rooms twice, once because the AC didn't work, and once because the ceiling was leaking. However, the beds were super comfortable, and the atrium, pool, and fitness rooms were great. The restaurant has very good food and great atmosphere. Everyone, especially the lady that worked the front desk in the mornings, was very nice, and we got moved quickly and easily both times. I would recommend staying here to anyone, though it seems the hotel could really use some updating. We would stay here again.

The hotel is wonderful and the staff was exceptional. Emily at the lobby bar, Phyllis and Barbara in the cafe to name a few. Faults: no concierge on staff to help Nashville newbies on local dining venues or sights. Front desk staff very kind but called upon to fill this position and not really good at it. Also when checking in the front desk staff were constantly being interrupted to answer the phone which was a bit rude. Last but not least the valet parking situation! We waited almost one hour for our car Sunday morning to be delivered. This can only be attributed to poor planning on the part of management. We were told our car would be available in fifteen minutes so we proceeded down and joined at least another fifty to seventy five families waiting. It had to be known how many would be checking out that morning and should have been planned for. Not Marriott standards.

First the good- we loved the location and would stay here again because of that. Plus, We actually liked the minimalist rooms. They felt very clean. We had read reviews so we booked a larger room with windows. Now the not so good- very unhelpful desk staff. We requested housekeeping but it didn't happen. Next, they checked us out a day early. When I stopped to ask about it, I was met with argument and insistence that our reservation ended now. I showed my emailed confirmation and then it was, Oh, Ok, I'll check you back in. Of course, when I got my final receipt, they charged me the now higher price than what I booked in January, for that last night. I emailed (no response) and called but it was again just argument, and my mistake somehow. Finally, the AC quit working that day. We reported it but the whole day passed without anyone taking action. When we checked back in the afternoon. They said, they couldn't work on it because we had our stuff in the room. They had not given us another room or said that was a problem in the morning but now just kept saying , they couldn't fix it because of us. Just to stop that argument I finally said, "OK, what now?" They then offered us another room for our last night. I don't expect any response to any of this. I see their canned response to every negative review. It's just a full disclosure to those choosing. We'd stay here again for the location and we were comfortable until the AC situation. If service and hospitality is important though, stay somewhere else.

I was in Nashville for a business convention and stayed at the Hyatt Place Nashville Downtown due to its proximity to the convention center. The staff was very kind and welcoming. The hotel was clean and rooms are nice size. we had an issue with the hair dryer and GFI outlet in the bathroom and the hotel fixed both issues in 5 minutes. Great Customer experience. The breakfast buffet in the morning is nice, but NO restaurant in the hotel. Fortunately the hotel is surrounded by restaurants. Parking is $40 per night FYI. The only problem with our room was the view was covered by an A/C unit.

My first time staying at an Aloft hotel, but not my last. This property was quirkier than the typical Marriott properties I stay at, but happened to be the least expensive at the time of booking so I gave it a try. I was there for 3 nights with my son (17) visiting Vanderbilt University. The hotel had a very urban feel to it, the room was very spacious, including a sitting area. The bathroom was also spacious, however I didn't like the door-less shower. While it looked interesting, practically speaking you end up getting water all over the floor. The beds, pillows and bedding were comfortable and there were two TV's in the room allowing us to watch different channels. Amenities included a small gym, pool table in the lobby, lobby bar, and a place for a small band to perform (however no one performed during our stay), and a refreshment area. I was least impressed with the refreshment area. While there was coffee available, no breakfast was laid out each morning. We found out later (after complaining about the lack of breakfast) that you had to order your food from the bar and they would make it for you. Since I don't go to the bar that early in the day I never knew, equally my underage son would have never walked up to the bar to order something. In my opinion, this is awful planning on their part. But, aside from the food issue this was a great hotel at a good price.
