0.77km from Supermercato Imagross 14This is a very nice hotel, full of character, down a little cobbled lane in Conversano. Staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant on the third/top floor was excellent, we had two lovely meals there and it is also where you have breakfast. Rooftop views as opposed to scenic views but very pleasant and open with indoor and outdoor seating. Our room 108 had a lovely window and Juliet balcony ie not one you sit on, but great to open the windows and listen to the sounds of Italian life. View over to the little cathedral, beautiful. Room would have benefited from comfier seating and although there was a mini kitchen in a wardrobe cupboard in the lounge area, but no kettle or tea/coffee facilities willthin room unless booked and paid separately. The only downside of the hotel is the lack of adjacent carparking. You have to drive in and drop luggage then take your car back out of town. The hotel has secure parking on a daily fee about 5 minutes walk away and we used it. If I'd been a lone traveller I wouldn't have liked using it in the dark but it's a perfectly good parking area. Top tip, ignore satnav etc and only enter the old town by car as suggested by the hotel ie via the entrance into the castle square (it's through the car park opposite the two Agip petrol stations) and bear right up towards the bars and round to the hotel. Conversano old town is small and mid May was still early season, but it's very pretty and peaceful. Easy drive to Polignano a Mare, plus easy walk from hotel to Coversano station for train that goes to Bari. All in all a nice relaxing little place.
