I had a friend staying at this property who experienced a medical emergency. He called me, and I live out of state. The staff acted with extreme urgency and with their help, my friend is alive and well. The staff is extremely courteous, very helpful, and in my experience, concerned about their guests. The owner of the hotel, Shashi Patel, is delightful to work with. He called me personally the morning after my friend's emergency to check on his well being. I have not been to this place personally, but my friend said it is very clean and the housekeeping staff is very thorough.

This hotel sits back from the noise of a freeway, location was made for peace & quiet. Rooms 325 & 327. Excellent. From the Lobby to the rooms, spotless. First of all booking was a breeze - booked online but called to change room types & reservation desk was super helpful & accommodating!. Parking was spacious, well lit & had security. When we arrived front desk attendants were super friendly & explained about the property. They also found out why we were in town & recommend additional places to go & amazing eateries in those areas. We had such a great night & new places to explore so we extended our stay another night. We had a great time exploring their recommendations & food, they knew their stuff. Lobby, business center, restaurant, bar, indoor pool/hot tub, guest laundry room, & workout room were laid out differently than most, much more conveniently. Beautiful staircase right off entrance. Don't be deterred by the photos of the red & black decor, it's done so tastefully & pleasing. Even though this is a chain, it's feels more like a boutique hotel, they got it right. Snack store behind front dest area. Vending & ice on each floor in a well lit, safe area near elevators. Key cards worked consistently. Sat at the bar the 1st night & had great drinks w/ a variety of liquor selections & visited with the exceptional bartender & other guests. Felt at home. We had to talk the front desk about a heavy footed upstairs neighbor & it was remedied in 5 min., no attitude when we let them know. Room size & layout was great. Microwave, fridge, ironing in room. Clean rooms, comfortable beds/pillows, plenty of hot water, & bathroom toiletries were from Bath & Body works. This was a great stay & felt like I got all my moneys worth.

Clean, and overall great experience. Staff worked to check us in early and housekeeping went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. This hotel looked newer from the inside than we expected. Beds were comfortable and everything felt very new. Area surrounding hotel is not the greatest (some panhandling at gas station nearby ) but actual hotel parking lot felt well-lit and secure. I still wouldn’t leave valuables in car though.

For what we paid, it was certainly not a bad stay. The staff were all friendly and accommodating and reservations were easy. Check in and out were quick processes. However, there was a dead roach in the bathtub, some stains on the mattresses (blood??) and walls, tears in the linens, broken drawers, and chipping paint. If this hotel got a makeover and some better attention to detail in housekeeping, it would certainly rate 5/5, versus the 3/5 I’m awarding it. We also had some noisy upstairs neighbors, though that was no fault of the hotel. Breakfast was good as far as continental breakfasts are concerned, though it was a bit crowded (again not the hotel’s fault, really). I’d stay again if I needed another well-priced one night stay.

I was in town for a golf tournament and always stay at this location. The rooms are reasonable and clean. The front desk lady in the morning will make you feel good if you're having the worst day. Great Customer service will never get old to me. They appear to be doing some renovations so that is a great thing. I want stay anywhere else. 😊

Covid-19 intructions were displayed to remind guests to practice social distancing. I would return to this hotel and recommend it to others.

It was great having all our family in one place during a wedding weekend. The staff made it very easy to set a block of rooms with a great price. The on-line booking was very easy also. All the staff was helpful, rooms clean and comfortable but beginning to show their age, time for a cycle of refresh and renew. We'll use the hotel again because of its accessibility to so much of Lafayette.

We were on our way home to Texas and stopped for an overnight stay in Lafayette. I have stayed at this property many times over the years and it’s always been great. This stay wasn’t as good as before. We had no trash can or trash bags in the kitchen. The microwave was missing the rotating dish inside. The closet had no hangers for us to hang our clothes. My husband hung his towel on the wall hook in the bathroom and when he pulled the towel away, the hook was loose and almost came out of the wall! Since we were here for only one night, we didn’t report any of this. Also, I know that due to Hurricanes Laura and Delta, the hotel has been very busy, but I feel the rooms should still be maintained better than this one was. Due to COVID, the room had been sanitized. It seems a sort of spray had been used in the room and the smell was very strong. My husband developed a headache from the smell but as we turned up the fans to circulate the air and heated up our dinner, the smell started to dissipate. In the past week we have stayed at several Hilton properties which offer complimentary breakfast and this one was the best. They had an attendant serving a hot breakfast of bacon and eggs, a muffin, and apple juice which was much better than the microwave sandwich we got at another property. It was nice to have real food for breakfast! The attendant was friendly and helpful. I’ll still return to this property as I’m assuming Room 240 was not representative of other rooms. Staff is always personable, friendly and willing to help.

From the moment I arrived and was met by Jeremy I knew I was in the heart of Louisiana! After a long grueling drive,Jeremy immediately put me at ease and made me feel at home. He was very gracious upon checking me in, assuring all of my needs would be met, advising me of things near & far that would be of great assistance! I was able to share a jambalaya fund raising dinner with him & we became fast friends! Over the course of my stay, I was blessed to meet Travondra, Keyona, Catherine & Raymond! Each staff member graciously making me feel bad end it turned into every need I’m concerned that I had. I wish Jeremy all the best in his new endeavors. I look forward to staying here again and spending more time with Travondra, Keyona, Catherine & Raymond! The lobby is warm & welcoming! The room was neat, clean & so comfortable! I had several nights of blissful, secure, rest here! Breakfast was lovely & although standard Hilton fare, the Tabasco tough felt perfect & was oh, so delicious! Thank you all! I look forward to visiting Lafayette again this year & hope to stay with y’all!!

This is a very nice, clean and well kept hotel in a very quiet and easy to access part of Lafayette. Close to all the main areas yet tucked away from all of the noise of town, this is definitely one of the best places in town. I spent over a month in Lafayette hotels working storm recovery post Laura and Delta and stayed in many local upscale hotels - this Best Western was by far my best experience.

Very nice little hotel. Clean and updated. Color scheme is not red as in the pictures, but a nice cool green. Tub shower is a little slick so be careful. I appreciated the large dispenser bottles of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the shower. Needed some lights on the side entrances to the building. Breakfast was good. Staff was very welcoming. I could write three pages about our bad experience here. I will summarize saying we had a group of about 15 people and none of us felt safe there. The hotel and parking lot lacked security. People on drugs were allowed on the property (front desk told me that they were staying there but she did not know which room). People on drugs offered us some and even followed us inside the hotel. They remained in common areas and halls. We were there with a sports team and planned to stay four nights. The entire group checked out after one night. I requested for a manager to contact me. No one did. After waiting four days, I called again and spoke with Tammy. It was my goal to share my experience without posting a negative review. I hoped they would hear me and make corrections so others did not have to feel unsafe. Sadly, Tammy made no apology for the experience and refused to refund bc I agreed to stay there. She chided me for staying there if we felt unsafe. I explained we drove over seven hours to get there and it was getting dark upon arrival. Since we had an entire team and we were not from Louisiana, we needed a little time to make a new plan for where to stay.

I booked this hotel because The Ascend Collection is supposed to be more upscale. I totally get they are in the renovation phase but there are some issues we ran across. The sink was full of paint I guess that either drip while painting or was poured and it dried over the the 3 prong of the stopper as the top to the stopper was missing. The bathroom door has been repainted but they didn’t change the fixtures so the door would not stay closed. We went down for breakfast and nothing was hot, no coffee(they had to make some), Yogurt was poured into this bowl for everyone to get their own. That’s not sanitary at all. They should invest in individual yogurt packs. I tried to get Apple Juice and he sprout is broken and water splashed all over me. It awesome didn’t smell so fresh. I will say however the hotel was quiet. I expected more from The Ascend Collection.

I must say this is the best place I have stayed at, for the price. High Ceilings, large windows, incredible kitchen, large walk through closet in master suite, and bunk beds for the kids. Lafayette is not the easiest city to navigate, but Choo Choo Lofts was easy to get to, within walking distance to two museums, several nice places to eat and night life entertainment. I will certainly stay here again when I return next year and will recommend to my friends and family.

Loved this place. Public spaces - living room, kitchen - were welcoming and comfortable. Bedroom was cozy. People we dealt with were great. We stayed in the balcony room, and below us was a music venue. You can hear the music through the house, so it may not be for everyone, but we loved it. One night was Cajun Jam night, and musicians just came with their instruments and played together. They had delicious free food and one free drink. Bartender made me a hot chocolate, peppermint schnapps, vodka and something else drink that was delicious. So much fun. And lots of places to walk to.

This hotel is pretty great! It has a huge lobby, so it doesn’t ever feel crowded. It has plenty of free parking. Every staff member I dealt with is friendly, and seems to know how to be attentive to the guests with just the right frequency. Some things I really like about this hotel are the quality of the food from the SoLa restaurant. I had the Ribeye, asparagus, and mashed potatoes and that plate was cooked perfectly. On a different night, I had The House Burger and sweet potato fries, and those were cooked perfectly as well. Oh, and the hamburger patty on that burger was THICK! Yes!! One morning, I just came down and asked for a cup of coffee, and the greeter was happy to go in the back and get me a fresh cup. Super terrific staff! There are a bunch of conference rooms, so if your organization needs plenty of event space, they have it. The pool area was still closed and locked, so I couldn’t use the pool (March 3). I did use the fitness center 3 times. It is a bit on the small side, so you may have to wait for a treadmill. There are two of them. However, the fitness center was clean so that’s good. The Internet connection is doggedly slow on busy nights. I even have the Premium Internet because I am Diamond, but it was still too slow on Wednesday and Thursday night. The Manager should probably look into upping the bandwidth of the hotel with the local Internet provider. The bed mattress was not the most comfortable, so it may need to be changed (Room 512). Also, the very far downhill side of your parking lot has a plugged drain. You may want one of your staff go down and clean it out, so proper drainage can happen. I am sure the rain puddle down there gets ankle deep. Really, not many complaints here at this Doubletree. The cookies are warm and fresh! Keep whatever magic you have going on in the kitchen. I stay at many Hilton’s each year, and few have a kitchen that produces the quality of food that yours does. I also saw one of your staff cleaning up the parking lot and making his rounds to keep it looking good. This is something that a lot of hotels do not perform anymore, and it makes me sad when they don’t. This hotel has pride, and that always keeps me coming back. Thanks for the stay, and I will see you again when I come back in a few months.

We were looking forward to staying at this new Courtyard instead of our regular Hilton property in Lafayette. We are Gold Elite with 30 years with Marriott. We had a confirmed room for a reservation made 3 days in advance. We had received a room ready notification and we arrived before our scheduled arrival time of 7 pm per the check in on the app. No room. Christina Jamison the front desk supervisor and Kenya told us they were oversold and that we had been moved to the Towneplace Suites and were given a “walk” letter. They said that as if we should be grateful. When we said that we had received a room ready message they disputed us. They said they had tried to call us but we had no missed calls and no voice messages. Again they disputed us. They were less than truthful with us. Other guests checked in after we arrived. When we continued to voice our dissatisfaction, we were told we would be removed from the property. They had not given the Towneplace our membership information. The two ladies at the new hotel were excellent and trained well. They bent over backwards to make up for the Courtyard. Christina and her staff need to go back to basic training. When you make a mistake, own it. And don’t lie. We will never stay there or try to stay there again. We are seasoned business travelers with 80-90 nights a year on the road.
