|0.98km from city centerThis is a great hotel for travelers who want to sleep in Saint-Pierre downtown. It is perfectly well located, 2mn walk from the sea front and all its activities. They also offer a complimentary underground parking which is very appreciated in the city. The rooms are well furnished and modern. Also we selected the studio so we could enjoy the kitchenette on the balcony. The pool is very small (don’t expect to swim there) but cosy and appreciated for a relax moment with the bar nearby. There is however one big pain point to this hotel: the restaurant ventilation. All rooms located south are just over it! When enjoying the balcony, it is therefore very noisy and smells fried food a lot all day long. This is very disturbing and I would advise any visitor to ask a street-facing room to avoid it.

Breakfast every day the same, but let's say how many of us make different breakfasts every day? we didn't mind. fresh crunchy pastries, 2 kinds of salami, cheese, butter, good coffee, juices ... just dinner was expensive at this hotel, the first night cost us 60 €, probably the most expensive dinner in our life :) but our mistake that we get the price did not look earlier. Otherwise she was great. On the day of departure to the airport we had to leave in the evening, we could leave the suitcases at the reception in a sheltered room, we went to the beach and before the arrival of the transfer to the airport gave us the entire room to take a shower. Perfect service, which we appreciated. Nothing was a problem. The shower went wrong with the shower and was repaired within 5 minutes. |27.01km from city centerNous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel durant nos vacances de juillet, suite à une mauvaise expérience dans un établissement type location de maison lors de notre arrivée sur l'île la veille. A l'accueil, Nicolas nous a accueilli très chaleureusement et nous a mis tout de suite en confiance; il nous a surtout ”sauvé” nos vacances. Au niveau de l'établissement, un hôtel au top avec une belle chambre et son côté enfant un peu excentré, une belle salle d'eau et une clim en prime qui fonctionnait très bien. Au niveau du personnel, rien à redire, des personnes aux petits soins pour chacun de nous 3. Lors de notre séjour, nous avons appris que notre fille avait des intolérances alimentaires et dès connaissance de ceci, le personnel a tout fait pour que cette dernière ne manque de rien avec adaptation du petit déjeuner et des plats au restaurant. Le plus est le fait de voir les baleines lors de notre réveil. Bref, rien à redire sur cet hôtel dans lequel nous reviendrons avec plaisir lors de notre prochain séjour sur l'île.

|1.75km from city centerMerci au jeune homme stagiaire qui était SEUL à la réception, et qui a fait de son mieux : certainement le plus professionnel de tout le personnel croisé par ailleurs dans l'hôtel (à l'exception des agents d'entretien). A croire que tout le monde est stagiaire ! J'ai apprécié la cuisine du restaurant si l'on oublie les tarifs exorbitants, et le service catastrophique. La vue sur Saint-Denis est belle, bien qu'elle n'ait rien d'exceptionnel lorsqu'on habite dans les hauts de la capitale. A Saint-Denis, l'hôtel Dina Morgabine a une vue magnifique sur la mer et même les HLM ont la vue sur l'océan... 1) Chambre supérieure réservée par booking qui annonce que toutes les chambres ont une machine à café. Toutes? ben, non ! Après avoir râlé on a bien voulu nous en donner une en nous faisant bien comprendre que cela ne concernait que la gamme au-dessus ! Et que ”vraiment, on vous donne un privilège essseptionnelll !” 2) La chambre en elle-même est petite pour accueillir 2 personnes : la surface annoncée ”oublie” qu'une partie de la pièce est en mansarde... L'hôtel n'applique visiblement pas la loi Carrez dans le compte des mètres carrés. 3) Cette chambre ”supérieure” a donc un ”balcon” ! Sauf que ledit balcon d'un mètre carré est en partie occupé par le compresseur de la climatisation : une seule personne peut s'y tenir, et encore, en restant debout ! Donc aucun intérêt. 4) On nous offre un ”cocktail de bienvenue”... nous nous installons à la terrasse du bar... Au bout d'une demi-heure, personne n'est venu nous voir pour prendre la commande. Ca commence bien... : il a donc fallu aller chercher le barman mais il a fallu également ramener nous-même lesdits cocktails...un comble pour un 4* !! Lorsque nous nous décidons de prendre une autre boisson, on doit encore se lever pour aller passer la commande. Ce n'est pas un service digne d'un 4* ça ! Le barman pose nos verres sur la minuscule table sans penser à enlever les verres vides précédents. Sans doute est-ce son 1er jour de stage à lui aussi ? Dans tous les cas, le Client ne paye pas le prix du ”luxe” pour ”essuyer les plâtres” au motif qu'un apprenti ou un serveur non qualifié coûte moins cher en terme de rémunération et de charges sociales ! 5) Au tour du restaurant maintenant : une dizaine de tables occupées seulement. Et pourtant, ça tourne, ça vire et les 3 serveurs ne savent manifestement où déposer leur plat.... Encore un autre point médiocre : Pas de possibilité d'obtenir de l'eau gazeuse ou non comme Cilaos ou Edena commercialisée sur le territoire. On nous propose, pardon, on nous impose, de l'eau ”pétillante filtrée” faite maison. Nous préférions nettement l'eau commercialisée par des spécialistes de l'Eau qui ont fait leur preuve mais curieux de vérifier, on a accepté l'eau gazeuse maison. Mais aucune des bouteilles apportées ne pétille malgré 2 essais !! Problème de machine ou de filtres douteux ? Tout est manifestement bon pour vendre de l'eau améliorée du robinet pour grossir la ma

Toujours bien accueillie par le personnel de la réception (Mélissa, Gérald, Fabienne) étant à l'écoute et souriant, par notre grand Dame Sabine qui répond à tous mes caprices pour avoir ma chambre attitrée et par la Direction (Messieurs Néant, Moussa, Marie, Juliette) qui ont toujours un mot gentil à mon égard. Sans oublier le restaurant avec Florence, Germain, Elsa, Alicia, les jumeaux dont les échanges sont enrichissants et leur service impeccable et nos hôtesses du petit-déjeuner Anne-Gaëlle, Nathalie, Cindy qui font tout leur possible pour éviter les attentes et que le flux soit toujours régulier surtout les week-end ! Un grand merci aux hôtesses du SPA avec qui je partage toujours un moment intimiste et agréable lors de mes visites, Lisa nos conversations sont toujours un vrai délice pour les oreilles, Emeline, Vanessa et toutes celles que j'ai simplement croisé mais dont le sourire et l'amabilité fait du bien... aux Messieurs qui sont en charge de nettoyer les locaux, la pelouse, travaux de peinture qui sans eux cet endroit ne pourrait être des plus élégants, je les félicite pour leur travail. Sans oublier les dames de ménage, qui sont le maillon fort de cet établissement : Mesdames, vous embellissez nos journées par votre courage et vos personnalités si belles ... Merci Sylvie, Texina, Harriette, Kevin (l'homme de la situation !) et toutes celles qui contribuent à notre bien-être. Chacun de mes passages restent un souvenir inoubliable qui me donne encore plus envie de revenir. Je recommande les chambres Luxe rez-de-piscine qui offrent une vue romantique sur cet hôtel, la piscine reste l'élément clé de cet hôtel ! |2.2km from city centerWe stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. Overall, we 've stayed several times in 4 star hotels at other locations, the level at Réunion seems to be lower anyhow. Compared to other hotels in la Réunion, Palm Hotel seemed to be the better one: better maintained, more stylish, more service from the staff. We received an upgrade to a junior suite, which was a really pleasant surprise as it came with a hottub outside, an extra room/bed and an outside shower. Definitely, this contributed to the positive overall experience. The hotel is beautifully located, although no direct access to the beach below. For the brave, there is an adventurous path downhill (and back up again afterwards) which I did two times. Not to try if you have no proper shoes nor long pants! But if you do this, you can continue to hike up to the ”cap” which delivers magnificent views and I definitely recommend. When we booked this hotel, a shuttle service was posted, although i didnt see it. Staying here we opted for the half board, which we wouldnt do again if we would have known. Personally, we dont have to fine dine ”french cuisine” every day, we would have rather opted for a light salad or something. This was our main challenge at this hotel: lunch as well as dinner offered very few ”light” options, basically there were almost no salads or a light pasta on neither menus. The only option for lunch or light dinner that remained were the tapas (they were very good!). We missed truly, during our entire trip at Reunion, ”light” dishes with vegetables. So my recommendation would be Palm hotel to think about offering for lunch and dinner some international, ”summery” dishes also, for those not interested in duck, foie gras, fish or beef on a daily basis. Dont misunderstand me, the food was good, it was just too heavy for our way of living.

|1.15km from city centerI arrived at the airport & realized the closest place to buy a sim card was near the Carrefour in town (since neither my Hong Kong sim nor my 2 wifi eggs worked here), being the day before Christmas eve the traffic was crazy & even trying to find parking was complete madness, by the time I got to the hotel it was getting dark and being able to grab a nice meal (had the 9 course seafood tasting menu with wine pairing) and then roll off to bed felt so indulgent. So here is the conundrum, you visit Reunion to ogle the prehistoric landscapes and lush foliage, hike, take helicopter tours of the jurassic mountains, but once at the Margouillat, you just don’t want to leave. For those that want adventures and luxury.... this place is the place to be. Being in or near the water is what it’s all about, the pool was never crowded, the view of the incredible coastline stunning all times of the day. After each meal, it was nice knowing it was literally just one flight of steps back to the room, or just pass out under the frangipani tree. It was an impeccable stay except for dinner my third and last night (12/25) when they were obviously understaffed, I sat down at 730 pm, waited until 8 pm before they took my order, @ 830 pm my amuse bouche arrived, @ 9 pm since my appetizer still did not made its appearance, I decided to leave, especially since guests that arrived after me were served their main course already & I had an early flight to catch. Otherwise, would have rated this a 5.

La plage de la piscine mériterait un nettoyage en profondeur car il y a de nombreuses traces au sol. Le restaurant est très agréable et on y mange très bien. Un autre problème est le personnel naviguant, clients aussi qui reste autour de la piscine à bavarder à longueur de journée, ou les séminaires qui ajoutent une nuisance importante lorsque le séjour et prévu pour la détente. Le personnel est souriant et chaleureux, toutefois il y a un manque de formation pour l'hôtellerie de luxe. Un 5 étoiles devrait être plus à l'écoute du turn-over des employés et de la qualité des services rendus.

|0.44km from city centerSéjour du 5 au 6 janvier 2024. En terme de propreté dans la chambre c'était plutôt correct. Mis à part la désagréable surprise d'avoir un énorme cafard lorsque j'ai soulevé la couverture! Et comme j'ai une peur bleue de ces bestioles on a dû retourner tout le lit pour nous assurer qu'il n'y en avait pas d'autres. Mais c'était le seul. Du coup ça nous a permis de voir quand même ques les draps, bien que propres sont tâchés, ce qui n'est pas top top quand même. La pisicne accessible dés 8h00 est plutôt sympa avec une température agréable. En revanche elle mérite vraiment d'être refaite! À certains endroits il manque des carreaux, la plage n'est pas du tout sécurisée, les lames de bois sont bancales, les skimmer en piteux états (on peut facilement se prendre les pieds dedans et se blesser). La margelle est très glissante. Des enfants sont tombés à plusieurs reprises (sans grosse blessure heureusement). En revanche ma fille de 6 ans s'y est fait une énorme bosse sur le front alors qu'elle ne courait même pas ! Quelques glaçons pris au bar et un peu de crème et l'affaire était réglée. Mais c'est pas pour autant qu'un membre du personnel est venu prendre des nouvelles. Bref. Et 3 parasols pour tous les transats c'est un peu limite aussi. Le petit déjeuner est correct. L'essentiel y est. En revanche il faudrait peut-être penser à mieux protéger la nourriture. Par exemple des pains au lait étaient bien recouvert d'une cloche sauf qu'elle était trop petite et les moitié des pains n'étaient pas protégés. Autant ne rien mettre dessus dans ce cas. Petit bémol aussi pour les tables du resto qui mériteraient égalment un petit coup de neuf. Le personnel au bar est sympa. Il manque peut-être un peu plus de rigueur sur leur tenue vestimentaire. Bien que ce soit un 2 étoiles ça aurait été plus pro de tous les voir avec une tenue autre que leur t-shirt lambda ce qui fait que au début on ne sait pas qui est le personnel et qui sont les vacanciers. Je ne vais pas remettre une couche sur le parking qui apparait dans tous les commentaires. Ceci dit, lorsqu'une place se libèrait, le personnel nous en informait systématiquement. C'est dommage parceque l'hôtel pourraient vraiment être au top avec plus d'exigence en terme d'entretien !
