|19.45km from city centerMy wife and I stayed here the day before Thanksgiving and through the weekend. We had stayed here for a week July of 2022 also. What a difference a year in a half makes. We loved our stay July 2022. Everything was awesome. But this time around we were very disappointed. First the hot tub was out of order and had been for two weeks by the time arrived. Truthfully that was the main reason we booked here because of the great hot tub and the scenic view that it faces. It's part of the amenities package on their webpage. In knowing that it had not been repaired immediately shows poor management regarding facility maintenance. I felt this to be disrespectful to their customers considering this hotels prices are on the high end for this area. Issues with poor maintenance were also found in our room. The carpets were frayed in areas. The chairs for the table had scratches and tears in both of them as well as stains on the couch. The elevator has a tile floor that was cracked in numerous spots and missing grout throughout. It of course made crackling sounds when stepping in and stepping off. I doubt I will ever stay here again. This place evidently on the decline. As much as they charge one would think they could afford to maintain that property so much better. And the fact that the aren't just shows a lack of accountability and appreciation for their customers. Cheap and lazy attitude from the management sums up my recent opinion of this hotel.

The headboard was old and tattered on one of the beds. Front desk employee was extremely pleasant and bubbly. Hotels are a bit pricey in Austin but if you want something a bit more current I recommend spending an extra 50-100 dollars. If you are in a pinch, this place is alright.

|0.26km from city centerWe arrived a little past 1pm and was able to check in. Hot towels scented with eucalyptus oil were provided. In this heat (94F), cold towels would've been my choice. Christine at the desk offered an ”upgrade” to 2 Queen bed accessible room. We'd booked a king bed, I guess 2 beds is an upgrade? She was very nice and friendly explaining the features and amenities the hotel offers. When you get off the elevator, one side of the hallway leads to Aloft rooms and the other Element rooms. The room décor was as pictured on their website, no surprises. We got room 614, which was the last one in the hallway and the window overlooks the building right next door. Not much of a view. Each day the lobby offers a different fruit-infused water. Breakfast pastries are from Caroline Coffeehouse. Other options are cereal, breads and a yoghurt bar. The only hot option made fresh changes daily. First day we were there were 2 types of pancakes and the second day were 2 types of breakfast tacos. I would've liked to see available fried eggs, sausages or breakfast potatoes. The great location and friendly staff can't be beat.

Room: Great size with a full kitchen. Really nice with kids. There was no noise at all, very comfortable. Only complaint is the rooms are very dark, even with the blinds open. Then at night the blinds don’t keep all the light out…. Bathroom: Kind of small and weird shape. The door barely cleared the toilet, and the sink was behind the door. Also, the water pressure is poor. Sleep: The beds are very comfortable, it was quiet. The shades did let a lot of light in. Still no issues sleeping. -flyou

I contacted the hotel and advised them of this. They said they would send them to me if I sent them a shipping label. I did and they sent them. I would like to specifically thank one employee - Jeremiah. He went above and beyond to help me out with getting my clothes back. He returned calls and called me when he said he would. There is also breakfast, which can be taken back to the room and eaten by business people. It is very convenient for families with children to live in; It is very comfortable to have a swimming pool. There is a large lawn directly opposite where you can have a picnic. There are also barbecue facilities next to the swimming pool. I like it very much👍👍👍

|14.08km from city centerI was extremely upset to see a movie with nudity and a scene of a nude man and a woman having sex (AKA porn) on the lobby / breakfast room television. I was even more upset when after asking the the manager, Diana, to change the channel she came into the area and I instead of just changing the channel to something more appropriate, asked the man seated behind me if it was okay for her to change the channel as if something like that was up for a vote among guests instead of hotel policy. To say I was angry at the way she mis-handled this would be an understatement . Despite the fact I stayed at this Hampton at least a half dozen times last year or so
, I won’t be returning. Keep porn off public televisions and teach managers how to deal with matters of corporate policy would be my suggestion Hampton/Hilton.
Otherwise the location is good and the rooms are clean. Too bad they allow unclean programming to be played on their television in the public area. Thankfully no children were in there at the time this occurred.

She wished us good morning and smiled. She asked how she could make my day better. Jackie also treated her fellow employees with the same demeanor. What a shining jewel and asset she is to this hotel. Because of Jackie, I will be coming back to Austin and have picked this exact same hotel, because of her leader ship skills and her ability to make the guest. Feel welcome and almost at home. She is above a 10+ employee. She deserves a huge raise and benefits for keeping this hotel going. The other employees at the front desk should watch and learn from Jackie.

The not so good- breakfast was a joke, maybe because of covid? There were no hot options except microwaveable sandwiches. No fruit or oatmeal. Just cold cereal and yogurt. Also I got up early to use the fitness room and run the stairs. There was a man sleeping at the top of the stairwell. He didn’t necessarily look homeless. Maybe just an employee catching a nap or a guest that drank to much. Either way items a little odd

The staff was very helpful at the concierge and the room service maids did an awesome job every day. The food service was great the food was awesome every day! The location was perfect for the local night life, everyone in the group enjoyed it immensely!

The valet Zak took care of my car and gave me a warm welcome despite the loud noises on the driveway. The construction didn’t affect my stay at all, and everyone at the front desk was very helpful. I love that it has a full sized fridge and cooking range and microwave.. the laundry room uses an app to pay which is very convenient.. drink and snack machines both take cards .. and are always well stocked.. the hallways and common areas are well kept and clean .. and the price is very affordable for a traveling worker on a buget .. they desk ladies are extremely nice and helpful with any questions I asked .. Bridget and Deb were very professional and greet you every time they can .. it’s nice and makes a customer feel at home .. over I recommend if your looking in the south and central Austin area .. this place gives you the best bang for you buck ..

This fairfield is definitely not the newest, decent size lobby, efficient enough check-in. Parking lot is nicely sized so no issues there. Oh, breakfast is always decent Marriott budget solid - really enjoy the waffles. Rooms are typical budget fairfield - somewhat thin sheets, comfortable enough bed. Rooms are actually decently spacious, bathroom is small but usable. Didn't have too much noise at night keeping me up so isolated well enough (but also not super busy when I went). Wi-fi worked well.

The room facilities are quite new. The front desk service is also very warm. There is an ice machine on each floor. Coffee is free 24 hours a day. Not far from the airport, 20+ minutes by taxi.

And the coffee was nice and strong ….. glad I asked for extra cream and sugars ! Great location near the Arboretum stores and shops at the Domain . Also close to Whole Foods, H‑E‑B grocery store, Gateway movie theater, and lots of good restaurants, many within walking distance.. Large rooms, bathroom stocked with Aveda products. (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap for hands) was a very nice touch!
The only thing I didn’t like was they have recently started charging for self parking in their uncovered lot ….. I paid $20 on 1/31/24. I don’t like that at all. Just put the price in your room rate and say free parking!

|22.05km from city centerMe and a buddy stayed one night in room 300 - it's one of the ”Apartment Style” 1 Bedroom rooms. The hotel itself was extremely clean and everyone on staff that we spoke to was polite and personable. The 1 Bedroom style room has the bathroom inside the bedroom, so if you have extra guests staying on the sofabed, they're going to have to come into your bedroom to use the restroom or shower if you're in there. The bed was very comfortable and came with 4 fluffy pillows. Bed linens were clean and fresh - no stains anywhere. There was a ceiling fan in the bedroom. This room came with a full kitchenette and everything you could need - pots, pans, silverware, cooking utensils, etc. There is a full size fridge in the kitchen. The living area has a separate PTAC heating and cooling unit from the bedroom so it can be a different temperature from the bedroom. There is a TV in the living space and the bedroom, and it comes with your basic apps built in - youtube, netflix, etc. If you have the hilton app you can control the TV from your phone. The internet worked very well. There are plenty of USB ports and outlets everywhere - both by the sofa bed and the master bedroom bed. The only quirk was how the light switches are wired up. There seems to be one ”master” light switch by the front door, and you have to turn it on to be able to turn on the kitchen lights, dining nook light, and bedroom fan. Took forever to figure that out but once we did, wasn't an issue. Very enjoyable stay, and will be our first choice hotel in the area when we return for events at the nearby HEB Arena. There is also a P. Terry's hamburger place nearby. If you're visiting Austin, you GOTTA get a P. Terrys.

Was very impressed with the hotel considering the rate (especially compared to what hotels in the city were going for). Room was spacious and clean (and renovated) and the staff was well organized and friendly at check-in. Parking was free and it was only a 12-15 dollar uber into the city (most downtown hotels charge a crazy amount for parking). There was no continental breakfast, but they offered a few free items in the marketplace (oatmeal, coffee and fruit) which was sufficient for us. Also, use of the laundry area was free (had to buy detergent), but that is a nice perk. Workout room looked nice. There was a brewery behind the hotel and another within a mile (both with food trucks). This hotel looks to be geared towards extended stays (they only do housekeeping once a week and you have to ask for extra towels), but if you understand this going in, it is a great place to stay!

The area was a little worrisome at first (railroad tracks) but we found it very easy to get a rideshare and walking out to dinner at night there were some great restaurants just 1 block over. Clean rooms, hotel looks practically new, fabulous lobby and nice pool area in the center. We will definitely be keeping this in mind for our next trip into town.
