I booked this hotel as part of a package which included afternoon tea and tickets to Bletchley Park. This was meant to be a special treat for my husband's 60th birthday. I was impressed by the photo of the Deluxe Double room on their website. A couple of days before we went I gave my husband all the info, including the photo of the room which I was expecting. We set off on our almost 3 hour journey, excited for a luxury break. We arrived a little early for check in so decided to have our afternoon tea whilst waiting. The tea was lovely, very filling and the Laura Ashley tearoom was as beautiful as the pictures on their website. We checked in at the beautiful reception area, walked through the lounge area, saw the bar and restaurant on our way to our room, again beautifully presented, everything we expected from a luxury 4 star hotel. Sadly, that's where it stopped. We were first shown to room 104, our deluxe double. It was disgusting. Filthy carpet, thick black dust in front of the furniture, what appeared to be a large orange/yellow vomit stain on the carpet, stained and ripped soft furnishings. The bathroom was no better, broken toilet flush, rusty shower fittings, rusty light fitting, split and peeling woodwork and paint peeling off the walls. The deluxe double room was not what was shown on the website. We immediately asked to be moved. We were moved to the room next door. Again, this room was as filthy as the other, again cracked woodwork, peeling paint round the sink, a used cottonbud on the floor by the bin, the two 'leather' chairs that had fabric that was cracked and missng on the seats and arms and was only fit for the tip. The window seat waa stained and ripped and surfaces and carpet again thick with dust, and still didnt look like the room I booked. At this point I rang the agent we booked through. They spoke to someone at the hotel as the General Manager - Andrew - wasnt in. The staff member then came and said they were moving us again, to a ”Premier deluxe room” a free upgrade apparently and also offered us a free drink in the bar, which we declined. Hallelujah!! Spoke too soon. The premier bit presumably applied to the nespresso machine, the trouser press, and the canopy thing over the bed which wasnt present in the other rooms. However, on first look it did appear to be more acceptable and the bathroom was at least clean. The bed area was not great, the curtain/canopy thing over the bed was thick with dust, the hospitality tray was also thick with dust, the nesspresso machine was unusable due to its covering of thick dust. It was, sadly, tired and dirty and baring no resemblance to what we booked. The room wasnt serviced at all during our 2 night stay. By this time it was 6pm, we'd had a long journey and there was no other choice but to accept the room. The following day we spent at Bletchley Park which was amazing. Very trendy hotel with new facilities and reasonable price. There is a large Sainsbury's supermarket opposite which is very convenient. There are also several good restaurants nearby. However, the shower in the bathroom is not surrounded by bathtubs and tubs, and the water can easily splash and wet places other than the shower. The overall stay experience is very good, cost-effective, it is worth recommending.

Excellent stay! Staff were very friendly from being greeted on our arrival by Mandy to breakfast where Karen was a delight to evenings in the lounge where Bo was very pleasant there were many others sorry to not include. Nice cool rooms. Stones throw from the shopping area. The lounge was nice to sit in the evening and have some food and drinks. The breakfast was amazing, lots on offer and all tasty. The health club was great didn’t go in the pool but went in the gym and steam room and enjoyed it and the bloke who was working In there sorry didn’t get a name was very helpful and friendly. Even being so close to a busy road there was no noise (room 233). Couldn’t get the TV to work but I wasn’t there to watch TV so this wasn’t a big deal. Overall was very happy with the stay and will definitely be back next time I’m that way. Couldn’t fault it thank you.

Stayed here on business for a week last week. Overall, rooms are well sized and clean with only a few signs of maintenance needed. On my first night I tried the in house restaurant. It was cold, deserted and smelt distinctly of frying in old oil (an aroma more suited to a fast food outlet). Just as I sat down, one of the few other customers collared a waitress to remind her he'd ordered 50 minutes ago. I made my excuses and left. Next evening, I returned to the hotel to find my room unserviced. On challenging this with Reception, they apologised and explained that I should have been asked on check in if I wished to have my room serviced (note to any management policy setters reading this: why would I not?? Surely that's SOP for an hotel). So I asked to be added to the service list. Returned to the room after my next business day to find the room one again unserviced. I visited reception (again) to be added to the list (again) but this time insisted that the room was serviced that night while I was out for dinner. Am back in the same hotel again this week. On check in yesterday, this time I asked for the room to be serviced daily. This week's room is again very reasonably sized and comfortable, no complaints there. BUT this evening I one again returned to an unserviced room. On challenging reception (second time in two weeks) I'm told that my name had not, after all, been added to the ”to do” list. Unlike last week, however, it would appear that Housekeeping has all gone home and nothing can be done. In fairness, a fresh set of towels was offered, but a set is already in the room. Let's be fair: this is not the Dorchester or the Ritz and so my expectations are set at a level befitting a reasonably modern, mid market chain hotel. So all I was looking for was cleanliness (tick), comfortable bed and room (tick) and normal room cleaning and servicing as a default setting (no ticks at all based on two weeks' experience). This surely deserves a rethink, Jurys. I remain distinctly unimpressed. You may also want to look at the lifts, at least one of which displays an alarming range of lateral movement at speed.

Brilliant location for the Xscape Centre and Shopping Centres. Good standard Premier Inn family room. Breakfast was very good. Everything was kept well stocked and very clean and tidy by Arychana in the restaurant and fantastic cooked breakfast by Onn the chef, thank you! The only disappointing thing was that the free Wifi was very poor while we were there and on O2 the mobile signal inside the hotel was also weak.

The bedroom was clean and comfortable, which is probably the best I can say about this hotel. The bathroom however was disgusting with grouting missing and mouldy, cracked tiles and the top missing from the hot water tap. When I complained to reception the receptionist was not surprised but said the bathroom was clean and okay. She said they were waiting for Green King to approve repairs and the room was okay. I was made to feel that I was complaining over nothing, but she did throw a half hearted 'sorry' as we walked away. I do not think it is okay to rent a room in such as bad state of repair. We were not offered a solution or the chance to change to a better room, bad customer service. We were on the ground floor and were kept awake by drunken shouting until 2.00a.m. Although this is not the fault of the hotel, it is adjacent to a rowdy pub and customers should be aware of this. Would not stay here again.
