This hotel is listed as 4 stars but having stayed at 5 star hotels it is far superior!! The location ,setting ,pool area ,large immaculate rooms and hotel are gorgeous. The breakfast buffet and restaurant meals are delicious. The concierges Damir Roberto Tina Sall and Agostino treat clients as family with such great care and concern . Staff as well as the guests I met are so friendly making my stay here the most fantastic in spectacular Sardinia!! Hotel Balocco is just fabulous !!!!

Room was ok, we had a twin room with two single beds. The bathroom is very dark, there's no light in the shower area. Breakfast is good and abundant. The hotel provides towels for the beach and has a shuttle that takes you to the city and other parts of town (we didn't use this service). There's also parking space outside the hotel which is pretty convenient given that it's really hard to park around Porto Cervo in general. Staff is very polite and attentive.

Dopo 20 anni (ne avevo all'epoca 15-16) sono ritornata al Bagalino con la mia famiglia e mio figlio di 2 anni. Ricordavo il Bagaglino come un villaggio bellissimo, uno dei più belli della zona, ben tenuto, con 20 animatori professionisti che ti accoglievano all'arrivo, ristoranti e tante attività di intrattenimento...bei tempi forse! Oggi il Bagalino, seppur sia sempre una bella struttura di base con appartamenti confortevoli, è un dormitorio in totale fase di abbandono...un vero peccato! Nucleo centrale in costruzione in quanto parte di esso venduto a terzi. Animazione inesistente se non per 30 minuti alla sera per i bimbi senza alcun tipo di intrattenimento per noi genitori, infatti non è possibile prenedere ne un drink ne un gelato in quanto il bar è sempre chiuso ad eccezione di 2-3 serate al mese (assurdo nel mese di agosto) Spiaggia sempre molto grande e bella, come poche, ma ci sono solamente tre file di lettini assegnati a sorte la sera prima alle 18.30 perciò, se sei in escursione o a passeggio altrove e non presidi l'estrazione, perdi il turno. Ti garantiscono comuque due lettini e, previa disponibilitò, un piccolo ombrellone portatile. Servizio ristorazione e bar in spiaggia affidato a terzi, non di qualità, sempre vuoto e con prezzi oltre l'assurdo. Gli appartamenti sono carini, noi avevamo un bilocale superior con un grande terrazzo vista mare. Pulizie supericiali e frettolose, la cucina non viene neanche considerata se non per un costro extra. Suggerisco di riporre sempe con cura gli effetti personali...fidarsi è bene ma non fidarsi è meglio! 4 giorni su 7 abbiamo avuto problemi con l'aria condizonata nella camera tanto che abbiamo dovuto gestire da soli l'impianto imparando dal tecnico (gentilissimo) che ogni giorno era li e rimediava provvisoriamente. Dopo 4 giorni hanno provveduto a risolvere il problema su nostra insistenza. Personale della reception è disponibile ma ha tantissimo da imparare! c'è un sistema di comunicazione con la reception tramite whatspp per chattare quando ne hai bisogno. In conclusione noi siamo stati bene perchè non abbiamo avuto tante pretese e siamo persone attive ed indipendenti però non vi aspettante più il villaggio di 20 anni fa!

We organized a 7-day yoga retreat at Grand Hotel in Porto Cervo and had a magical week!! The service is excellent, the staff enormously friendly, courteous and helpful. It is a spacious hotel complex with lots of green, breathtaking views, right on the beach and a beautiful bathing bay. It has a large pool and various relaxation areas. For an extra charge you can also use the great beach club just above the beach, with comfortable loungers, bar service, an exquisite lunch restaurant with a postcard view, and sanitary facilities. Very nice breakfast buffet, which also considers special dietary needs (lactose-free, gluten-free, etc.), light lunches can be enjoyed at the pool bar or deck overlooking the sea, in the evening a varied, delicious dinner selection is served. The rooms are basic and a bit outdated but have comfortable beds and are very clean. We will be happy to come back!

We visited for my husbands 40th birthday. This hotel is stunning to look at and is situated next to a large harbour. We booked via Tui and had a very large room that over looked the pool with a balcony. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable! The rooms are cleaned twice a day unless you mark do not disturb, once for a clean and then a turn down service. I cannot describe how amazing breakfast is! The coffee is lovely, the selection of foods available and the view over the harbour while you eat was the best way to start each day. I noticed there were were lots of gluten free options. However, after breakfast, as with everything in Sardinia (!) the food and drink is expensive! We didn't mind too much as we were away for a special occasion and the prices are in line with the rest of the island. When you're looking for dinner we found a very reasonably priced restaurant a 5 min walk away called Volemose Bene. Delicious food! There is a courtesy bus to two different beaches and this is well worth booking onto. The hotel provide beach towels and sunbeds and parasols. The beaches are stunning but have very little amenities. We bought drinks/snacks from the shop nr the hotel and took them with us. The hotel pool has plenty of very comfortable sunbeds and they also provide pool towels just ask the lifeguard. This hotel lost a star from us because there were no tea and coffee facilities in our room. This was a big negative for us as we like to wake up and have a cuppa in our room before starting our day. Lastly I must just say the staff were incredibly polite and attentive and an absolute credit to the hotel.

In pratica le due location pubblicizzate piccolo e grande pevero sono a pagamento, l'hotel ha una piccola area nel piccolo pevero, voi penserete be li si potra prendere il sole con lettini ed ombrelloni compresi nel prezzo..... ebbene no, con soli 160€ per due lettini ed un ombrelloni potrete prendere la prima fila e poco a scalare le file successive, per avere un gran servizio, una asciugamano, una bottiglietta d'acqua ed una macedonia a metà mattina STOP...... si avete capito bene, l'hotel non nessuna struttura in spiaggia, c'è li un piccolo bar con un solo bagno per tutta la spiaggia (chiaramente a pagamento) che fornisce fugaci piatti o da bere. tutto qui ben 160€ al giorno...... imbarazzante e se invece scegliete il grande pevero come da loro consigliato, la cifra sarà similare ma non avrete neanche le asciugamani ne acqua ne frutta......un grande hotel sul mare !!!!!!!!! Oltre a questo, una sera purtroppo abbia fatto tardi e non abbiamo trovato un tabaccaio aperto e ci siamo permessi di chiedere una sigaretta alla receptions la quale ci ha prontamente aperto un cassetto ed offerto l'acquisto di un pacchetto di Marlboro alla modica cifra di 10€ (ma si possono vedere tabacchi cosi ? ed ad un prezzo maggiorato) alla richiesta di avere anche un fiammifero, ci hanno offerto alla cifra di 3€ un pacchettino di fiammiferi quelli che in genere si regalano.... !!!!! fantastico. Non finisce qui, abbiamo assistito alla telefonata tra il gestore del lido del grande pevero che chiedeva di mandare le asciugamani per noi ed il concierge rispondeva candidamente che i bagnini non avevano voglia di arrivare sino a li e che le avrebbero portate fino a metà strada.................. fantastico Comunque, tanta disorganizzazione ma con alcuni buoni ottimi elementi della sala ristorante, la receptions da rifondare cosi come il concierge (ne abbiamo di esempi raccolti in soli 3 giorni), per fortuna abbiamo avuto un contrattempo e siamo dovuti partire due giorni prima perche sicuramente non è stata una piacevole scoperta, anzi !!!! Ora saremmo grati se ci venisse rimborsato quanto pagato per la spiaggia, in maniera indebita, quanto pagato per le sigarette (considerto che non si può vendere tabacco se non autorizzati e non ad un prezzo qualsiasi) e magari le giornate non usufruite. We stayed in this hotel once wonderful for a week. The feelings are contrasting ... on one side the exceptional location, the view you have on the Maddalena island, the facilities present but .... there are so many but. In the first three days of the day we asked for them to be done in the morning and came at 14 or 15 when we were resting, unretired waste, unretired bed linen. The worst thing was the lack of answers from the reception. After 3 days the things finally got to fix. Then 2 ggs closed for maintenance (may happen for charity). The accommodations to fix, rather uncomfortable beds, dated furniture. The shops in the village are all desolatedly closed. There is no total animation. Bars in the hotel at the request of a cocktail can not answer that it has almost nothing. The impression is that the staff are reduced to the bone and who is there is shipping how can it use sometimes ridiculous excuse.

This hotel went above and beyond to accommodate every need we could throw at them . The hotel is located on the most pristine property. The scenery is incredible. The rooms were lovely with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was spectacular. They would literally cook anything you wanted. The affiliated beach club is really nice as well. The hotel is a short distance from Porto Cervo, however, we had to talk ourselves into leaving the property because it was so nice. The spot is quite small, so I recommend you back treatments in advance even if you only intend to take advantage of the sauna and Turkish Bath. I think the highlight of this property is how personalized the service is. After our first meal, they knew which guests preferred still versus sparkling water. They also knew which guest needed a lumbar pillow in his seat. They knew who preferred Parmesan versus Buratta cheese, etc. If I could give this hotel, a 10 star rating I would..

The hotel is located a few minutes by car from the centre and the beach. View of the spectacular sea that gives beautiful sunshine! Breakfast varies and for the last day they have prepared the extravagant as we were going early in the morning! The hotel is fullly reflecting the Sardian style, there are many lounges to use for relaxation; the evening is the musical accompanying! The only negative point is the pool sleeps a little too used, perhaps they should be replaced! A little “disconfortable” that to get to some rooms you need to take two different lifts and get a step in the middle...

One of the best hotels we ever stayed. The property was fantastic, the service was excellent and the food was great. We loved it so much that we plan to go back next year. From the personnel at the front desk, to the concierge, the waiters, etc- everyone was polite, helpful and a delight to be with.

We arrived for a 5-night stay at the fabulous Hotel Cala di Volpe. Our room, 226, was on the 2nd floor at the center of the hotel, above the Atrium Bar, with a breathtaking view of the most picturesque bay in the Mediterranean (check out those yachts), along with the pool (largest saltwater pool in the Mediterranean). The hotel itself has high-end shops like Prada, Bulgari, and Dolce & Gabbana, and unique hand-made furnishings throughout. We arrived just before lunch closed at the Cala di Volpe Barbeque, and ate what seemed like a 10-course meal…everything from Margherita pizza to lamb chops, linguine and clams prepared at the table to fresh sea bass. The bellinis are the best we’ve ever had, and we ordered them at every lunch. We dined at the highly acclaimed Le Grand every evening. Dinners are beyond delicious. Meal courses are prepared at your table by expert chefs, and we enjoyed an array of pastas, seafoods, and beef fillets; every meal was perfect. As great as the food is at Cala di Volpe…and it is spectacular, the staff made the entire trip a fantastic vacation. The wait staff and sommeliers each have years of experience and it certainly shows. It greatly affects the rest in the room and the feeling is very bad. We have given feedback and communicated with the person in charge of the hotel, and their answer is: This is a countryside style, the sound insulation effect is like this, there is no way. As a result, I couldn't sleep peacefully for two nights and was often woken up at night. Feeling very bad. 3. The food in the restaurant: can be described with very bad words. First of all, the ingredients are not fresh and some fruits are obviously rotten, as evidenced by the photos. Secondly, the dishes provided do not taste fragrant. I don’t know if it’s the chef’s cooking skills or the cooking method that’s different! It feels far from the standard of a five-star hotel. I chose a lot of dishes, but almost none were delicious. As for the Italian restaurants around us, we felt that they were both delicious and delicious. Communicate and coordinate with the person in charge of the hotel (assistant manager) when leaving the hotel, and truthfully respond to the above issues. They apologized for this, but had no other remedies. After asking the manager for instructions, they agreed to waive the value-added tax we should have paid when we arrived at the store and a salad (it was extremely unpalatable and was returned on site). . Our request: Since the hotel for these two nights was fully prepaid in advance, the hotel has no authority to give us any other compensation.
