Very nice hotel with fantastic staff. It's a modern hotel and sort of designed like a ship. It's located right on the waterfront - make sure you get one of the corner rooms that feesl like it juts out into the harbor and has great views of the water, the comings and goings of the ferries and the not-so-distant peaks. The rooms are somewhat on the smaller side but very nicely appointed and quiet. The breakfast spread is perfectly fine. But a special shoutout to the checkin staff - Johannes and Torkel - both of whom were courteous, friendly and really helpful.

did not enjoy the stay here. it's shown on Google maps as a top-rated 4-star hotel and for the price, we were expecting much more. our overall experience is best summed up by saying that the stay was similar to that of a 3-star hotel in the better end, but not worth its price. we ended up wishing we had tried clarion hotel (our alternative with the same number of stars). firstly, the staff were not friendly or helpful at the reception. we arrived in tromso a few days before our check-in (as we were going on a cruise first), and after confirming our hotel reservation with the reception, we asked if we could leave the luggage for a few hours before our cruise started. the lady serving us just pointed to the baggage area and said it was full and did not offer to help or even suggest any alternatives. from that interaction alone, we already felt that this hotel would not live up to our expectations based on its price and Google reviews when we finally checked in, the reception staff was once again neither friendly nor helpful, although she was more polite than our previous encounter. our room was clean, but small and we struggled to open both our luggages. the tv is old and the picture is poor with no apps such as netflix/disney+/etc., and no option to cast from our computer / mobile device. breakfast was included and was quite decent. but otherwise, everything else was just fair despite being priced at a 4-star hotel range, and hence our impression is that this should have been given a 3-star hotel rating and price

The hotel could not be in a better location for exploring Tromso and provides very good value. It was easy to travel to and from the airport (although we admittedly got a short taxi) and visit the sights (including getting a bus to the Arctic Cathedral). The room was small, but great value for what we had paid. We were mainly using it as a base in between trips and sightseeing, so it did the job nicely. We had twin beds, a desk and chair, an armchair and a long mirror. The bathroom was also very good - there was always hot water and the shower offered a good water pressure, making it easier to wash your hair after being caught in a snowstorm! The breakfast buffet offered a great selection of food, including my favourite - brown cheese. I would be happy to stay there again.

Tromso is super beautiful, and the hotel's location is the best in Tromso. Just walk to the port for the cruise🛳️. Participating in activities such as Aurora Chasing and Whale Watching🐳 are gathered near the downstairs of the hotel. You can see four ”Jinjiang Hotel” in Chinese at the entrance of this hotel, which is very friendly. Try to book a superior sea view room as it will be much larger and have two windows. The room is relatively new and the bathroom has a high water pressure in Northern Europe. For chain brands, there is basically no problem. For superior rooms on the 10th floor, you need to take the elevator to the 9th floor and then transfer to the elevator to go upstairs. You can see the super beautiful scenery of Tromso through the window in the room, and you can take pictures at will. The last picture (No. 12) was given to the wrong room by the front desk at the beginning. The ordinary room is really very small. After entering the bathroom, you can climb up to the window sill and sleep. It feels like sleeping on a bed on the window sill. The little German girl at the front desk was very communicative. After looking at the room, she told her that the room type was wrong. She gave her the Ctrip reservation number. She found that it was indeed wrong. I didn’t know if there were more Chinese people. She used my name at first. I checked the reservation and found out that there were two people with the same name, which was really a mistake. But it was handled quickly and I was very satisfied with the new room immediately. The double-window sea view is really great! Recommended! Radisson Blu also has an activity registration point. Just turn left when you exit the hotel lobby. The price of on-site registration is about the same as that on the Get Your Guide app on your mobile phone. You can inquire about it, and the app is also convenient! Tromso is worth visiting! We arrived at the hotel after a long day of travelling. Hotel Aurora is situated next to the water's edge and is within walking distance of everything that you'd need during your visit, including across the river to the Arctic Cathedral. The hotel was beautifully lit, very trendy and immaculately clean. Staff were extremely friendly and wlecoming on our arrival. We were given a room on the corner of the hotel with a balcony overlooking the harbour and mountains - It was an incredible sight, with the lights glistening off of the water. Our room was lovely and warm. It has a large, comfy bed, plenty of wardrobe space and a minifridge. The bathroom was fantastic, with great shower pressure. There was a brilliant selection of serve yourself buffet food, which was freshley topped up by the kitchen regularaily. This included soups, hot mains and breads. The hotel had tea, coffee and coco available to self serve 24-hours a day, and in the afternoons Fika was served to guests - The cakes/pasteries were always fresh and delicious. This was such addition to the day, finding a time and place to relax and talk. The hotel has a small gym and a large sauna. There is an outdoor hot tub which you had to pay extra for however, this was well worth the money due to the view of the mountains and harbour as you sat in the warm water mixed with the chill of the air. The staff, from the cleaning team to the kicthen team, were incredible. They always smiled and said hello and offered to help you with anything that you needed. One of the best hotels that we have ever stayed in - We will be returning very soon!

The best way to describe this hotel is average in every way. Everything in Tromso is ”central” - it's not a big place so that isn't really a selling point. The rooms are very small (even the ”deluxe” ones) and there are only two elevators for a pretty sizable 8 story hotel so get ready for the stairs. I paid extra to be on the 8th floor because I read the reviews about the nightclub underneath and boy they were right - I could hear thumping well into the night so bring your earplugs (the club appears to only be open Thursday - Saturday so if you're travelling outside of that, I'm sure it's more tolerable to try to sleep). Hindsight being 20/20, I would've paid $30-40 more to stay at one of the better rated hotels.

Easy to locate and walking distance from bus stop and supermarket. Got to do self check in on ipad and mine keep having error. The hotel guy at counter helped me with check in and want to charge me for the hotel room which I had already paid via Trip app. Pls be careful if you're doing manual check in with the hotel staff. Decent size for 2pax but opening 2 luggages was quite an issue because of limited floor space.

We didn’t stay at the Ami Hotel, but booked an intimate trip for 5, to hunt for the Aurora. Pick up and drop off either outside the Ami Hotel. On arrival at the hotel we were given warm clothing and boots. Our driver and guide, Sarah, was great, originally from Wales, she was very knowledgeable and told us interesting tales of Norwegian folklore, talked about the different locations that she’d travelled to for great views of the ‘lights’. She was very friendly, and brought fold up chairs to have hot drinks, sausages to toast around a firepit and also doughnuts. Sarah drove us to a few spots and saw the wonder of the ‘Northern Lights’. She also took photos of our group which were great. I would definitely recommend this tour.

This hotel is part of the hospital complex and has tourists and patients as guests. The rooms are basic with two single beds. The adjoining bathroom was almost bigger than the room and everything was clean. There was a good choice of options for breakfast. However, I would not recommend the dinner unless you really can't be bothered to take the bus into town. We ate there on our first evening and were surprised at the lack of choice. It was a buffet with a few pieces of tomato and cucumber, bread, cheese, jam and soup. The bus leaves from the front door and takes you to the centre in about 10 to 12 minutes so getting around is not difficult. (I suggest buying a week pass at the kiosk near the reception as it works out much cheaper than buying a ticket each time you take the bus)

Would happily stay again. Room was clean and tidy. Shower was great. The room was a little on the small side for travelling with so much luggage (we packed far too much) however, it was exactly as described and you got exactly what you paid for. We felt the the price was very reasonable in comparison to other hotels. We never had breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on that. After our 3 night stay we were heading out onto an adventure excursion for two nights. The staff kindly allowed us to store our excess luggage in the storage room with no extra charge after we had checked out. Great hotel if you are out and about visiting the city. Consigliatissimo.

Stayed for 2 nights! The room was cosy, and cute. The bed was really hard though, but the pillows were thick and soft! It was tidy and clean, and the bathroom was great with good pressure in the shower! The rooms had a TV with chromecast! Also the lights in the room were easy to control :) The hotel is really close to airport and traffic, but it's well isolated so we didn't get bothered by the noise of the traffic. As mentioned the hotel is close to ”jekta”, just a few minutes walk. And it's not a long drive if you prefer to bathe at ”Tromsø badet” It's easy to get there by car, but if you don't like driving there is a bus stop for route 28 right beside the hotel which makes it easier to travel to the mainland and back. Reception, bar and breakfast is at the top floor, with lot of room to he social or just enjoy the sight alone. They also had board games you could use! The only REALLY minus of our stay were that the service were a bit slow. We asked for help with the TV several times without luck. But I am not to mad about it due to few personel and high workload while we were there. (And the personel were really nice and polite) The hotel may wanna make an easier note that breakfast is NOT included in the room (as they traditionally are in tromsoe). And also how much breakfast cost! On your website it only says when breakfast is served (and that it's free until March 2024, which it were not). We were informed in the morning breakfast was 199 NOK per person, luckily with shopping center close by, and food market breakfast is easy to acquire. To sum it up: will stay at the hotel next time as well!

You always have tea or coffee available in the hall if you feel like it. They also have a parking service in the back, it is fair but it gives you the service, I used it and although it was an ice rink at least you know that your car is ok since parking on the street is mission impossible and everything is pay.
