Very quiet surroundings situated in a university area. I guess it’s because we’re here during summer holidays (the tranquile). Clean rooms and fairly big, free parking. The rooms are really hot and no AC not even a fan, which was a mistake for me to select this hotel on a hot day. Good if you have a car, this place is very remote from everything else if you depend on public transport. At our next stop I made sure to pay extra for a room with strong AC.

Very hard to find, as no street number given, google said it was # 6 which was wrong and the name is not on the building. N pone on the street knew where is was and it was just by luck that I found it as I was looking into the lobby and the Manager came and told me that this was the proper place. I wasted 20 mins strongly suggest to include the street number

We have booked this hotel many times for following reasons: Accessability, garage, good restaurant, renovated rooms with good beds, free breakfast for seniors. With our last booking for august 22 things went completely wrong. Receptionist did not know the internet prices. Manager whom we had to call later told us that we had to make the booking via internet, which went wrong because we were not accepted as Accor club members. When we tried to get a new password this was never confirmed. Called again the manager and finally coul get the internet rate but without free breakfast, which we allways got in the past. Oh yes we could get the senior rate at 160 Euros incl. breakfast, but with the internet rate at just below 110 Euros the free breakfast disappeared. After some more discussions with the manager we decidi to book an other hotel. Shame on Accor.

Found this on Booking.com. Had trouble finding it from the train station since my phone GPS could not navigate the city well. Just beware of that. Otherwise conveniently located. Hotel has an excellent location and you can walk to all the sites. Hotel staff was great. Breakfast was good, lots of variety. Comfortable and clean room. Would recommend this hotel to others.

I chose Chapeau Rouge for the location and the valet parking they offer for a fee and the spa. Dang I hit a home run. From the minute I walked through the door we experienced the great service. They immediately walked to my car grabbed our bags and took them inside and went and parked the car. They have a small couple of spaces out front for loading and unloading your car. This hotel is right in all the action of Dijon you don't a car to get around. Most everything is a few minutes walk from hotel. One other perk of this hotel is the spa area with sauna and Hammam and showers. It's a really cool hotel from top to bottom. Great carpet and decor and neat winding hallways. We had to take the tiny elevator to floor two then wind our way to a small stair case that takes you to the third floor. Our room was 346 with an awesome wall of Stormtrooper heads as you approach the door. There's a nice closet as you enter the room. The room itself is good sized with room to move around and for your luggage. We love the large windows that open and have a view of a courtyard between buildings. Couch was comfortable and table was good size. Bathroom was good size very clean with deep tub (which is a major plus for me). They even have a towel warmer. The toilette has it's own room which I like and is common in Europe. I can't remember name of soap and shampoo but we like it very much. Now to the most important item in any hotel room in my opinion is the bed which was an actual King and not two twins pushed together and most importantly very comfortable(one of only two on are whole trip 9 hotels). The second most important thing for me at any hotel is being able to plug in my IPad to the TV and yes I was able to watch my IPad. Another thing I liked most about the room was the power outlets in proper locations that are convenient and a lot them. It also had a mini fridge and nice desk with chair. We loved the art too. We definitely used the Sauna and Hammam and it felt amazing. So nice we visited it early the next morning too. We did not try the restaurant. We did get a drink at the bar/lounge area and it was also nice. This hotel was literally one the best nights we've EVER had on any of our trips around the world. Our only disappointment was we only had 1 night. I'm writing this with all honesty and no exaggeration of any kind, stay at this hotel minimum two-three nights to truly enjoy it and Dijon. I wish I could remember the gentlemen's name who made our reservation at the Porte Guillaume Restaurant and was unbelievably friendly and helpful. I want to make sure you know all the staff was helpful and friendly too. Probably be a while before we get back to France but when I do I'm going to Dijon and I'm going stay here again for sure.

We stayed for 3 nights in July. We were warmly greeted on arrival in the air conditioned lobby (a relief, it was 37 Deg C outside) given our room key, had breakfast and WiFi explained. The receptionist also asked whether we had a car, however I'd read on here that the parking garage is very tight and they ask for your key - I didn't fancy that, I've got quite a big car and I didn't want to pick up any scrapes so I opted to park on the street. Never had a problem finding a space and it was only about 3 EUR a day - I use the PayByPhone app to pay, dead easy. Our room was on the first floor - there's no lift (elevator). The room was spotless and modern and a good size. Two comfortable chairs, air conditioning and a modern bathroom. There are no brewing facilities as is commonly the case in France. The toilet is a separate room - I've seen this before in France. You may find it odd but I grew up in a house like that (no, it wasn't a privy in the back yard!) so did not find it a problem. Breakfast is served in another spotless air-conditioned room. It's not a buffet, you help yourself to drinks, cereals and yoghurts, and they serve you with a basket of breads and pastries - there's loads of it and all good quality. The hotel is an easy 5 minutes walk from the centre of Dijon. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. We would gladly return.

A dangerous experience was encountered at this hotel in the heart of the Old Town of Dijon. At 8 o'clock in the morning, my child and I were still asleep. The child dad woke up and looked at the mobile phone in bed. Suddenly a male door didn't knock and opened the door directly. It seemed like asking what the sentence, the child dad said no, he left, we They also blamed each other for two sentences saying how they did not lock. But it is still strange to think about it. I tried it. Even if I didn't lock it, I could open the door without being outside. The person must be swiping! This hotel is too evil, think about the reminder posted in the elevator, saying that there are more thieves in the breakfast area, we have more defenses, and take all the valuables, including electronic products, downstairs when eating breakfast. After breakfast, the child dad went to the parking lot to get something from the car. I took the child back to the room to pack the luggage. Being closed, suddenly it was a direct opening of the door! I have never encountered such a thing in a hotel that has lived in so many places for so many years. I was still ringing. The man asked me in English if I needed to clean the room. I also shook a piece of paper with a printed form on my hand. It was estimated that it was the room number. I said that I don't need it. I honestly said that I checked out. The person smiled very warmly. I locked the door and I felt that I was not feeling right. Ask the waiter at check-out, is this normal? She said helplessly, no, not normal, because no card can not open the door, she said they will check. We didn't say anything, and quickly left. Imagine what happens if no one is in the room but there are valuables in it. If someone is quietly coming in at night, what is the situation, the more I want to be more and more stunned. Also, is this happening in every room or only our room? It feels like we only have our room, because we didn’t hear the movement next door twice, how do they know our stay so accurately? Even according to the conspiracy theory, will they know that we Chinese people like to bring cash so we specifically lock our room? !

We stayed two nights. Easy walk from train station and close to center city, when you will find lots of shops , restaurant and historian bldgs . The room is comtemeray with a nice size bathroom and kitchette behind cabinet like doors . Which includes a fridge, microware, two burned stove , coffee Machine, and hot water maker. At also has fry pan and pot along with plates silverware . Not far is a monplix to pick grocery . There is a washer machine downstairs free to use , which is great when traveling ,to be able to wash a few pieces of clothing. The outside of the bldg is weathered , but the inside a clean and nice. This a great place to stay if you wants he option to be able to cook and eat so meals in your room while traveling . Our room faced the street and even with the windows closed .. It is noisy. Enjoyed walking around the town of Dijon . The staff is great and very helpful. I would stay again .

The default is good. Hotel location is very good, you can see it from the train station The leisure of the Dijon is very enviable! Artists who can be seen everywhere on the roadside, or sitting on a folding chair or sitting on the floor, only brushes and picture books, facing the landscape-like architecture, sketching the painting...the capital of romance! like!

We stayed for 1 night in a double room. I thought staff was friendly and beds are decent. Check out times are a bit more flexible then usual. The room is not a bit bigger as it needs to be to accomodate a double bed and the shower is placed in a cubicle including the toilet and washing basin. Again not a bit bigger then it needs to be. One wall outlet is available and a small desk plus hanging wardrobe. There is no airconditioning (or at least not used) and you can hear every sound made by neighbors. Having said that I had a pretty decent night sleep. The heat bothered me more than sounds (I am a light sleeper). A true budget accomodation where you get exactly what you pay for as far as I'm concerned.

Breakfast is very good. The chef orders it now: omelet, shredded cheese, vegetables, mushrooms, etc. It's great. Other kinds of bread, fresh juice coffee tea. Meat has sausages, bacon. Peach apple, cantaloupe, pineapple and other fruits, a kind of Danone fruit yoghurt. All in all, including early value

Absolutely amazing! On the small road in the old town, it is very easy to find. It is an old house with a history of three hundred years, and the red door is very eye-catching. A total of four rooms, we lived in Room 3, very spacious, is a suite, 2 large and 1 small, the sofa bed in the living room and very comfortable. Although the appearance of the old house is very historical, the interior decoration is very new and modern, with a spa bath, separate toilet and bathroom. There is also a swimming pool that can be used, which is great. The owner has a dog and a cat, very cute, breakfast is also very good, is the high-end B&B, there is a large floor-standing bookshelf on the side of the stairs, you can freely read, but unfortunately all French-based, can only look at the picture The atmosphere is very good, quiet and tidy. When leaving, the owner knew that we were going to catch the train and sent a few bottles of water to us. Because it is an old house, there is no elevator, the luggage needs to be taken by myself, the owner will help, but it is an old couple, I am really embarrassed.

We needed two family rooms to accommodate two families- a total of 4 adults and 4 children. For less than 250 euros we had a nights stay including breakfast in central Dijon. Lovely staff, cheap onsite parking (also included in the 250) and although the hotel is only 2 star we all felt it was well above that level. Breakfast was continental with ample fresh croissants, good coffee and all the usual cereals, yoghurt and breads. This was a great little find for us. Would go back.

Travelling to Dijon an staying for 1 night we chose this hotel because of its placement. In the middle of the city, near the old Dijon. Very close to everything by walk. The owners are very kind and smiling :), very helpful. They speak perfect english, french and danish also. The hotel is an old building full of charm, far from all the new technology, you still have a key!! Our room was very large (no 16) and well decorated with both view on the street and on the back yard. The room was very clean, with extra towels and blankets. The terrace on the backyard is very pleasant to sit there and relax, plenty of colors. Breakfast contains bread, croissants, different kind of jam, cheese and yogurt, butter, ham, cornflakes, cookies, coffee, tea, juice... Birna and her husband are wonderful guests! I recommand! PS: the street was on repare and it was difficult to get into the street so Birna was very helpful and came to the very near parking place to give us a free entering ticket.

We used this hotel for a one night stopover while traveling further south. Being in the middle of town meant there are plenty of shops and restaurants within an easy walking distance. Having arrived later than anticipated, about 10pm, the restaurants in the immediate area were closing but a short walk to the market building which is surrounded by bars and restaurants, they were still open and serving. Parking was within a few hundred feet in Place Grangier and being underground it felt more secure and relatively cheap. The hotel services are the usual standard for this chain with free WiFi. The room was clean and bed comfortable, with en-suite facilities. Breakfast was the usual continental style. There is a MacDonalds close by if you fancy that instead! I would happily stay here again.

The location is very good, just next to the cinema in the city center. Going left and turning for 5 minutes into a gate is the main attraction of the Old Town. Dijon is quite history, and the old city is beautiful. It is worth staying for two days. There is a Chinese restaurant called An Shu on the street behind the hotel. The price is cheap and the taste is good, but the only bad thing is that the proprietress has a very bad attitude towards the Chinese, but she still does not want to swipe the card, but she looks like a foreigner. . In Dijon, you can reach the main attractions by pressing the arrow on the ground.

A Campanile is a Campanile is a Campanile. You know exactly what you are getting especially if you travel a lot with overnight stops. So, having used this particular hotel before and finding it an ideal point to aim for when driving to Monaco I booked 1 night for my son and I. Having driven from the Midlands used the Shuttle to Calais then a drive to Dijon I was fairly well tired upon our arrival. But as we drove in the restaurant and reception was in darkness then i noticed the tempory wire fencing around part of the rooms complex. My first thoughts were not after a long drive do i need this, the thoughts of finding alternative accomodation was not a happy thought. Especially as I had pre booked and paid. Gingerly i walked to the reception and good fortune it was open!!! They were in the throes of renovating the rooms but keeping the hotel open. Our twin bed room was of course in good decor with new fixtures and fittings. Comfortable beds, clean towels but although there was a kettle there wasn't any cups or makings. The restaurant provided good meals with the usual buffett. But hotel beer in France is rather expensive to say the least. I tried the local sausage which sadly wasn't to my liking. Like most Campaniles it is situated in a retail park but in a nice location. A worthy stop over in a long journey.

I was to stay for 2 nights beginning on Sunday and leaving Tuesday, but I decided to stay an extra night in order see the Les Halles Market and travel to Strasbourg one day later. Yuka (the owner) said I could, though I would need to move to another room. I was first in the Regencie, with the great kitchen, bed like a cloud and wonderful bathroom. I was moved (by Yuka while I was out) to the Roman Room, with the canopied 4 post bed (like a cloud!) and the wonderful claw-footed bathtub- it was heaven!. However, I was awakened in the night by family looking for me as the were worried I was in the Wednesday Strasbourg Market attack. I assured them that due to my gluttony, I stayed in Dijon and was not at the Christmas Market... I read the news and the terrorist was still at large and Strasbourg Markets would be closed. I asked Yuka if she could keep me 2 more nights until I was to go to Brussels. She said yes, but I would have to change rooms... I was move to a new unit that has not even been put online yet. It is wonderful! 2 beds, a brand new bathroom I would love in my own home and a kitchenette and roof top views from the master. Beds like clouds! OK, so that's the various rooms. Let's talk about Yuka and breakfast. Yuka is dynamo! Her breakfasts each day are delivered on a tray to your room at a time of your choosing. There are 3-4 types of bread, rolls, croissant / pastry all served with homemade fruit preserves. accompanied by eggs & bacon one morning, ham and cheese a couple of times, hard boiled eggs, etc., and always with fresh fruit and juice, coffee how you like it or tea with honey. Best breakfast ever! The rooms are spotless and Yuka's laundry (sheets & towels) all smell like fresh cotton clouds. I really felt like home here!
