The hotel facilities are good. But I can't praise the service. We are foreign tourists, but they didn't provide us with the tourist card provided by the local government for foreign tourists, which can get free public transportation and special prices in museums. As a result, we spent hundreds of francs more. One of their front desk staff, who was probably a supervisor, also argued that when you checked in yesterday, there were other tourists checking in together. I thought you were together. We asked you and they didn't want it, so we thought you didn't want it either.

We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Marta. The location is excellent — right in the middle of Zurich and close to everything, making it very easy to explore the city. The service was great, especially the lady who assisted us during check-in; she was very nice and friendly, which made us feel welcome. The room itself was clean and simple, though it didn’t have air conditioning. We had to slightly open the window for ventilation, which was manageable. We requested a higher floor, but I think because we also requested two single beds, we were assigned a lower floor instead. Not a big issue, but something to note. Breakfast was very minimal in terms of options. If you have the choice, it might be better to skip the breakfast and try some of the many nearby cafes instead. Overall, Hotel Marta is a good, no-fuss option if you want to stay in a central and convenient location in Zurich with friendly service.

We stayed at the Swiss Chocolate Hotel by Fassbind from 5/21/25 - 5/24/25 (3 nights). We are a family of 3 adults and booked 1 room that has (3) twin beds. Our room was on the 6th floor. It was clean and surprisingly roomy. The only problem, there's no AC (Europe hotels for most part don't have air-conditioning). We opened the window and let cooler air to come in. I am sure it's a lot less comfortable in the summer due to the heat. The most enjoyable part were the staff at the front desk. Shout out to Yosie, Katia and Martina. These ladies were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The owner, Mr. Fassbind, should give these ladies a 8% raise. The price for the room was also ”reasonable” for Zürich (~ $400/night). Being able to have 3 people in one room is a bonus. Most hotels will show ”sold out” when trying to book 1 room for 3 people. I really had a very positive experience at the Swiss Chocolate Hotel in Zürich and can highly recommend it. I definitely would stay here again if the opportunity arises.

Helvetia Hotel exceeded my expectations, offering a much better experience than suggested by the photos on the booking site. The place is impeccably clean—even the shower screen was nearly spotless. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s rest. The bathroom was brightly lit and generous in size, with shampoo, soap and body lotion in different glass bottles. I particularly appreciated the cozy common room near the lobby, where guests enjoy a cup of Nespresso or tea, courtesy of the hotel. However, it’s about a 15-minute walk from the main station, which might be a consideration for some travelers. Getting to the hotel from the train station is super convenient with tram line 4; it stops right outside, runs frequently, and the journey only takes about ten minutes. Our triple room came with bunk beds and was quite compact, but perfectly functional. Breakfast was decent, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. A slight downside was not being able to boil water in the room, but there's a kettle available in the ground-floor restaurant for hot water. We loved this hotel. We booked a grand double deluxe room which had a seperate small living area to the bedroom, a full bathroom with seperate bathtub and big outdoor terrace. From check in to check out nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was one of the best ones we had on our whole stay.  It was a 10 minute walk to the train station and right next to the shopping street.  A great stay at this hotel.

Very conveniently placed near a trem hub station.. a lot of bakery , restaurant , and supermarkets in the area. The room is a bit packed but given that the hotel has been built for a long time ago, but the buildings has been renovated to a nice standard.. The staffs is very helpfull & very accomodating. Very solid “3 star” hotel located in a very central location. Hotel Adler is “3 stars” but everything considered, as good as if not better than other 4 star hotels in European capitals. The location is in a cute location in old town by Central station and the University of Zurich. Very easy to get to and from airport from here and is a very nice location to walk around and explore Zurich from. Room itself was kind of small but was clean and comfortable. What’s great is also the restaurant Swiss Chuchi at the bottom of the hotel. It serves the breakfast if included (which was pretty good. Standard pastries/bread as well as cold cuts, eggs, fruits, etc.) and highly recommend visiting for actual restaurant meal service which includes the famous fondue.
