Great pool with a great view - despite the water is not the clean. The room is nice, however the automatic lights in the bathroom is a inconvenient at night… breakfast is good. Due to the design of the hotel, it is very noisy from 6:30am and is a real barrier to a good sleep. Not too far from the center - 100php with tricycle.

A real mixed bag here, the location is good and the rooms are large, clean, beds comfortable and the ac works well. The staff are friendly. Those are the positives. The food, breakfast in particular is atrocious for a hotel in this price range the restaurant staff idle about playing on their phones. The rooms were cleaned very late in the day on several occasions. The internet is weak from the rooms.Whilst the front desk staff are friendly they are pretty clueless and on wanting to escalate certain issues I am told that the management are based in Puerto Princessa. With good management and a complete overhaul of the menu and some internet boosters this could be a great hotel.

Beach front hotel but this isn’t a beach to layout on. It’s where the boats dock but farther down the shore. Very pretty views so I can’t complain. Location was perfect. It was a quick walk to the madness but far enough to be able to sleep at night. Staff helped us with tuk tuks and let us use their phone as we didn’t have calling available. We stayed 4 nights? We didn’t ask for room service during our stay. One thing not unique to this hotel that I personally am not fond of is the lack of bedding. All the small hotels just have a sheet. For me, I don’t care if it’s 100 degrees, I need a blanket on top of me! I knew this before traveling so I brought my travel airplane blanket but still not big/thick enough. Anyway, nice hotel and great location. Breakfast included was typical pancake, toast, fruit, egg, and a few Asian dishes. Can’t complain about being fed.

It is a hotel very close to the beach and close to the excursions that leave from the port, many places to dine, nice pool. I had problems when I arrived with the internet connection, TV working badly, hot water, etc; finally, due to insistence, they upgraded me to a bigger room but with cleaning and maintenance problems as well. Forgettable breakfast. I think it is a hotel with great potential due to its location and facilities, but they should pay attention to the details of cleaning, maintenance and so on, instead of naming everything in the hotel (even the toilet tank cover), manage it with Someone who has been in a large hotel chain to see all the shortcomings as today it seems to be run by families with no experience in hotel quality.

Our room was very nice, clean and large. The location of the hotel with the private beach was of course the absolute highlight. The staff was super friendly. Kayaks etc. could be borrowed for free, which is also a big plus. Unfortunately, there was only boiled coffee at breakfast, you had to pay extra for the rest - I find it really sad at the price. Likewise, the staff is sometimes very slow. When I sit alone at the pool bar and have to wait 15 minutes for my coke + have to point it out again, it's really a shame.

The environment is beautiful, quiet, suitable for vacation, and there are various activities to participate in. The room is not large, basically there is no network signal, it is not suitable for mobile phones, the TV is not good, and it is suitable for the waves every day. Dining is ok, in general, lunch & dinner is only drunk with free white water. Although the juice and soft drink are not too expensive, but the price is more than 3,000 a night, the drinks are still a bit pit! The beach of the hotel can't be launched into the water. There are good beaches by boat, and there are no people, so most of the photos I upload are beaches that go to sea.

The resort is in a great location with a small but quiet beach and a nice house reef outside. Beware that some units require walking up a lot of steps and the ones set away from the beach have a lot of mosquitoes around. The staff are super friendly and nice although the service of the hotel could be more attentive i.e when lying on the beach you don’t get asked if you want drinks. Room cleaning was only done once in our 7 day stay and only because we asked for it. Towels are not automatically offered to beach goers all the time. The restaurant is pretty slow with almost an hour for food to arrive sometimes. The food itself can be nice depending on what you order. Some is pretty good actually…others a bit average. Pricewise, this isn’t a cheap hotel and I feel that if you compare the price to resorts in other tropical beach locations around the world, you get much better service in other places like Sheratons, Marriotts and Hiltons etc. that said, overall I would still recommend Matinloc for the great beach and reef.

Staying in a tent hotel for the second time, the first time in Taiwan, it is not disappointing at all. The tent is surrounded by tropical plants and feels very private. The tent is not brand new, but there are no mosquitoes. We stayed in the tent closest to the beach. It takes less than 1 minute to walk to the beach and the gradient blue sea, super beautiful! There is also a small space in front of the tent, perfect for taking pictures everywhere! The only problem is the poor road. Lying in front of my small balcony, watching the starry sky at night makes people feel incredible. Sleeping and listening to the rhythm of the waves gently beating is really super comfortable. The tent is air-conditioned, so you don’t need to be afraid of waking up from the heat, but it will light up until it is true. It is recommended to wear an eye mask to sleep, otherwise people who are more sensitive to light will get up at 6 o'clock! For dinner, I will go to a restaurant and bar in another district. The food is much better than the town’s. The cocktails are super gorgeous and delicious, so I’m not afraid of being hungry.

Dolarog Beach Resort
3.6/518 Reviews
EL Nido
|10.82km from city center
Dolarog, a true pet-friendly resort! The resort in itself is superb! It’s like a hidden gem of El Nido and the greatest thing about it is it’s truly a pet-friendly haven! What I like about it is that it’s still in the main island but gives off that exclusive feels. We stayed for 8 days in total at the beachfront villa called Lagen which is a few meters from the beach overlooking their jetti way and that awe-inspiring giant limestone directly in front of our villa. Getting to the resort is other via speedboat or their private access road from Vanilla Beach using a golf car. You know that you’ll have an excellent stay when the owner, Mr. Edu picks you up(or sometimes the son) from Vanilla beach for a more personal touch. How hospitable right? He also has a selection of Italian wines from his cellar as he is Italian, I had Chianti btw over dinner with the beach, stars and the moon as our backdrop. Truly magical! The rooms are always kept clean by the staff who are also very friendly. The main Receptionist, Tata is attentive and very pleasant not to mention very informative. I would take her as my head of staff if only I could! She knows her products and knows when to recommend it, the type of staff who is not in your face all the time to promote an offer. I must say she is one of the nicest resort staff I ever come across with. Food is relatively good. Home cooked and unpretentious. As with any advice when you go to a limited supply area such as El Nido, don’t get your expectations too high on having a western dish so much because obviously, you will have some issues so I only ordered I know locally sourced here like seafood or their filipino dishes like the menudo and chicken curry which are my faves! Filipino breakfast is good. You might wanna carry spare powerbanks as the resort rely on their own generator for electric supply. From 6am-9am and 12noon-6pm there is no electric power. Also, TV is not available (not sure abt other rooms though) but who needs a TV anyway? It’s not like you chose to go to El Nido and sit all day on Netflix and stay indoors duh! I rented a motorbike for 500/day basis and this really helped me in exploring or going out of the resort but the resort offers complimentary shuttle via their golf car to Vanilla beach for free but I wanted to leave and come back on my own time. This is also a 20 minutes walk to Maremegmeg beach by beachside access. Tricycle ride cost between 150 going to town from Vanilla beach btw. Overall our experience is a great 4.5/5 with .5 leaving for improvement on the land access before the Dolarog gate. Also, I’m pretty confident even without any advertisement or active social media promotion, the resort will do just good but let me tell when I posted 1 picture of Dolarog on my socmed, people flocked my DM to ask if I was in another country. This is how beautiful the resort is but I hope that with how Millennials pick up on their next destination is mostly through social media, the resort pu

We got the highest tier beachfront access villas with AC. We were pleasantly surprised to find that dormitels was connected to eco hotels, a bigger and higher end hotel, and the staff was more than helpful. Every time before we left the hotel we inquired how much a trike would cost from that location. The given price by the drivers was always higher and we chewed them down to the price given by them. Location is great as even tho it is really not in front of the beach as advertised, it’s part of a little cluster with some of the best food we found on the island! Altrove for pizza and the Israeli falafels were to die for!

Still have some things to work on.. They didn’t started on top when our pre-booked shuttle didn’t showed up at airport. Waited an hour until a security guard at the airport helped us order a tricycle. Some misunderstanding between booking office and the reception was the answer, but they paid for our tricycle. It was a nice and modern hotel. Not a resort for pool relaxing because they only have few sun beds and always occupied. Even towels were few. Always in laundry was the answer. The rooms were tiny and dark. Always humid and moist. All our clothes and even bed linens felt wet. The food was tasty and good. But as in many places the service isn’t very fast. Long waiting times, from order to waiting even if they weren’t crowded. They were really keen on the allergies and made some offer to try to fix things. Even if they had spring rolls med of rice paper on the menu, of course the rice paper were out of stock they didn’t got new for our whole stay. As much others. No Cola Zero. Out of French fries and so on. They’re not quick to clean used glasses around pool area. Our tv didn’t work. They had not a great interest in trying to make it work. Our door lock same thing.. Good thing is the free shuttle to ElNido, LioBeach and the airport. Upon checkout I got the question how the stay was, my hesitation in answer and that it didn’t fulfill my expectations I didn’t got any reaction or questions how they could have done better. Don’t ask the question if you don’t want the answer.

This review is long overdue. We stayed here for about 5 days after taking a boat from Coron. Location: close enough to walk easily to the heart of the city and beach, without being stuck in the hustle and bustle of the tourists. It’s just 2 streets, maybe a 4-5 min walk into the town and about 10-15 to hit the beach. Rooms: spacious, exactly what you see on the photos. The view from the 2nd floor middle room was awesome. I know a few reviews mentioned the 3rd so we considered asking to see if it was open, but our view was perfect. The balcony was great too, spend the mornings there packing for the day. Staff: Super friendly staff and owners. This was actually probably our most memorable part because the owners were always available and happy to chat with us about our plans, tours, or get/find us things to do. They have someone on staff at the gate all day/night which was cool. The owners even saw us walking to the mountain area to do the climb and picked us up on their scooters and dropped us off. Thanks for the great time, recommendations and making everything feel easy and accessible.

In the heart of the downtown beach district. A family-run boutique hotel with basic but very tasteful amenities. The lobby and sitting areas are tastefully done with local crafts displayed. The koi pond is a soothing addition to the peaceful surroundings, although the busy street noise nearby does make itself known. The service and staff are top-notch. Smiles and responsiveness galore. You may be able to find a more modern hotel with more lavish amenities, but Bulskamp is a delight, and I highly recommend it for its service and pleasant vibe.

We stayed 4 nights at Raje Residence in room 402. It's a family run hotel and provides very basic clean AIR-CONDITIONED rooms with ensuite facilities. Staff and owner is all friendly. Approx. 15mins walk to the city centre. We didn't mind the short walk, as it was good exercise. There is no fridge or TV in the room, but WIFI connection is good. The air-con is a small box, so a bit of noise - but it didn't bother us, as each day after sight seeing and doing tours we just past out. We could not hear street noise from our room. The shower pressure was strong. The continental breakfast is actually quite good. You get pancake, waffle or toast choice, and how you want your eggs cooked (fried, omelets etc) and a slice of fruit, plus tea or coffee. Good start to the day! For the Price you paid it's a great place to stay if you want a clean bed and hot shower. We would recommend them.

We stayed in one of their villas. Bottom line; find another property to stay at. The A/C was mediocre until it started spewing Freon. Took a look and it was basically a block of ice so zero maintenance. You can’t really enjoy the ocean in front of the hotel as its all coral under your feet. A few buildings down though a great sandy bottom. The breakfast buffet is cold. The CR looks to originally been a shower stall converted to a bathroom so no real ‘privacy’ so we used the CR’s outside. The internet is horrible and I mean horrible! We got better internet at little cafes. The upside is the staff are very nice people. We spent a fair chunk if coin for a villa but it wasn’t worth it. Much better and less expensive properties in El Nido. We’ve learned our lesson for our next trip here.

El Nido is a wonderful little town. It’s full of cafes, bars, restaurants & shops and you can just stroll around. It’s safe and wonderfully friendly. 18:00 they close off the traffic so the downtown is completely pedestrianised. This is the best time to be out and about in El Nido. If you’re going to be bothered by the sound of music coming out of bars and their occasionally noisy customers leaving, and like to sleep with the AC off, then do NOT stay in a budget hotel downtown El Nido. Zaniya’s is right in the centre of all this. Our rooms were spacious and clean. Comfy beds. Air conditioned. The en-suite bathrooms were a little cramped and the water pressure low. The owner has just taken over running the place and is super cool. We came for 1 night and stayed for 3. We’re a family of 5 comprising big kids and little kids. We headed out on a boat tour one day and a trip to Nacpan another. We did laundry, had pedicures, changed money and had fun in the Sava bar, the Pangolin & the Pukka disco. We all enjoyed ourselves in El Nido. I like to think we’ll be back at Zaniya’s one day.

It was a quiet and quaint hotel so close to the main beach, restaurants and night life. The hotel was not a 4-5 stars standing. It still needs some updates like good quality towels, soft comforters and coffee maker or electric water heater for drinking. Varieties for breakfast needs changes. The bathroom has low water pressure when you used warm water. Overall it was ok. BUT THE STAFF , MANAGER ANTON, was amazing. The attentiveness they have given was above and beyond. Matti , Annalisa, Joshua and the boy forgot his name were great. With that said I’ll give them 10. Hoping for their success as well as improvement for the best quality Everything we need was provided.

Very good option in El Nido! The rooms are nice and cozy, secluded and I like the native motif of the room. Breakfast is of big serving, kinda difficult to finish early in the morning 😆. Staffs are nice especially Ms Fritzie who never misses to greet us and asks about our day/tour. Electricity was never a problem, unlike I’ve encountered in other accommodations in El Nido, as it is common. Sanse Boutique Hotel is a very good option when you want to go to El Nido if you want to be in the center of the town, very near to restaurants, shops, pharmacy, and the pier where you will start your island hopping. We stayed in Novies for 6 nights in total. For the record, this place is really cheap so you can’t expect too much! Rooms were very average, beds were clean but far from comfortable. We had Air con which was a big plus. The scenery is amazing in the hotel, you’re essentially in the middle of a jungle which is pretty cool.... however this is a perfect location for bugs, ants in particular! Lots and lots of ants, non got into our room thankfully but there was 100’s just outside our door and in the bathroom! Not good. Location was great, a little outside the city centre, 10 min tuk tuk which usually cost 50-70php. Also 10 min tuk tuk from Chrong Chrong beach which is really pretty. Main negatives about Novies was it’s WiFi, power cuts and construction work! The whole reception area is under construction which was a pain as there were men at work from early morning until late night and it was constantly dirty! Just bad timing for us I suppose! From the 6 days we stayed we were effected by 4 power cuts which ment no air con! The WiFi didn't reach to bedrooms so in order to get connected you need to be close to the reception which was a pain! the WiFi also broke on day two and was broken for the remainder of our stay! When we asked the staff they said they had called the technician to come fix it but I guess he never came. Staff were friendly but kept out of your way. Our room wasn’t cleaned once over the 6 days, no sheets changed or new towels which is kinda disgusting but hey, we had our own towels anyway! Overall, if you’re on a travellers budget like myself, this is an okay place to stay, it’s basic and you pay for what you get, but no WiFi for travellers can be tough! Especially if you’re trying to organise tours or look up stuff to do! Word of advice bring plenty of anti bug spray! Hope this review helps!

We have to put in a special mention to the manager of Aqua Travel ,whom went above and beyond to help my wife and I obtain a travel pass ( S pass ) in order to get to our next destination (El nido) We were having all kinds of trouble finding someone that could help us out and she took it upon herself to assist us, which took hours of her time. They can have their own little vacation from you even if you're together. I just wished the wi-fi was a bit stronger, but hey - I came to El Nido to get my face off the phone. The staff was really accommodating in all aspects of our trips - from shuttle services to bike rentals to restaurant suggestions. The Karuna resort is a hillside paradise. We loved everything about the resort. The location was central and the views were absolutely stunning. Warning: there are quite a few steep hills and stairs all around the resort. You'll definitely get your workout here, but its so worth it. Our joglo was perfect. Clean and well appointed with modern amenities including comfortable beds, flatscreen TV with Netflix, fast wifi, and AC. There was plenty of room for our family of 3, along with a kitchen and large wraparound deck with views of the bay. It felt like our home away from home. We spent a lot of time at the pool, restaurant, and bar, which happened to be our favorite spots at the resort. The bar has a great happy hour and the restaurant has an extensive menu with lots of variety. One of the best things about Karuna is the staff. Yes a bit out of town but thats what I wanted (maybe people should research a bit more). And if the cheap ride to town is going to break your bank, get over it. Rooms are spacious, looks clean. There is free wifi, with repeaters on each floor. In the room there’s A/C, a ceiling fan, a TV, a dresser table and some wooden chairs. Some reviews mention dirty water and a funky smell. There is a slightly funky smell which you’ll get used to so it’s not a big deal. Water from the faucet was not that dirty in my opinion, probably depends on the supply. In each floor there is a common area where you can fix yourself free coffee and tea. Each floor has a balcony area, the 3rd to 4th floors have a great view of the bay. There is no elevator, only stairs. There’s intermittent power interruptions (not the hotel’s fault). For those times, there’s a generator that usually kicks in, you won’t be able to use the A/C but the ceiling fan should work. Location is great. Walking distance to the pier where boat tours start, lots of restos around, located centrally downtown. There is a small ref in the lobby where you can buy mineral water, but there are small convenience stores outside also. We usually leave the keys in the lobby when going out. We stayed 3 nights, rooms weren’t proactively cleaned while we were gone. It didn’t matter to us since we weren’t really messy, but some people might be looking for regular room cleanups. Prices are affordable. View at the top floor is great.

We had the most amazing stay at Mahogany Resort. It’s in such a stunning spot, and the pool is nice and refreshing with a beautiful view to the sea. Great spot for a sunset. The food was the best we have had in El Nido. We had dinner at their restaurant by the beach and the food was faultless, with impeccable service. In the morning we had their special Mahogany Wrap (I can’t recall the name) and it was delicious. We didn’t want to leave. Would definitely come back next time we visit El Nido. The staff also helped me surprise my boyfriend for his birthday. Such a great stay, 5 stars doesn’t do it justice!

Our trip started with waiting 45 minutes to be picked up from the airport which perfectly summarises our experience at golden monkey. Btw, it costs 400p and you need their scooter if you have bags because the normal population of scooter drivers can’t fit down the narrow alley which leads onto the main beach. If you just have a small bag, consider taking a scooter from the airport and walking the 15 minutes to golden monkey. The staff tries hard and there was always hot water + aircon in the room. However, this location requires a ride to town which was often 15-45 minutes after the requested time making it difficult to meet for tours/dives which require a fixed meet-up (usually 8 or 9am). This is further complicated by the mad rush for breakfast when it opens at 7am and a 30 minute wait for (instant) coffee being the norm and another 15+ for food. The other major consideration about whether you’d be happy with this hotel is the noise from dogs barking (and reproducing) is 24/7 and roosters start crowing from 545am onwards making it very difficult to get a good nights sleep.

The property has everything what you need, and they match Philippines standard of accommodation, even with blackout the hotel provided basic electricity in the room. The breakfast here was good and always made fresh, the room was in a decent size with small computer/beauty desk. the stuff is really helpful and they can help you to arrange tours and tourists attractions in competitive prices. it was so nice to have a freedom here and also in the shared kitchen to prepare food by yourself. Unlimited coffee and water is a big +. location is also good because it is a walking distance to the Town and the Corong Corong beach, nearby plenty of small shops. The hotel is quite outdated and the power generator during blackout was quite loud, unfortunately during our stay the Wi-Fi router burner out I general nice place good owner and stuff

Advantages: For backpackers: the price is very affordable, and the most important thing is that it is within about 30 seconds of walking from the bus terminal. It is about 15 minutes away from Elnido beach. The owner of Elnido hostel is very nice, I like her so much🙊🙊, the owner's two daughters are very smart and lovely. I love them so much 😊😊 Cons: The air conditioner in the single room is too noisy 🙈🙈, unless you are very tired that day, you won’t hear anything🙊🙊 The water pressure in the shower room is not enough and needs to be improved.

I really enjoyed staying at Coco Garden! But you must understand that these are bamboo houses, essentially huts, inside of which there is a bed under a mosquito net. The houses are basically in the jungle, so geckos, ants, etc. can run in. But behind the mosquito net you won’t be afraid of them! But unity with nature is 100%! The house has a shower and toilet. Fan. Every morning a simple and delicious breakfast. WiFi worked flawlessly. And the employee Lamy was so friendly that she smoothed out all the shortcomings! It is best to immediately rent a scooter, because the nearest beach and the town of El Nido are a bit far away on foot. The stay turned out to be very authentic! I'm happy!

The tropical garden is beautiful, with the restaurant’s veranda, the pool and the bungalows all around it. Staff are nice, very helpful and polite. The location is also good in Corong corong, with pool and bar on the beach, only five minutes tricycle ride from busy El Nido as well as from beautiful Las Cabañas beach, but with a few nice restaurants and bars nearby, so everything is somehow close. The bungalows around the pool seem good quality, with lovely verandas. The “beach bungalows” are outside the garden, along a lovely path that leads to the beach bar. They are quite basic and a bit rundown, would help to have some extra items of furniture to make them more comfortable, including a shower curtain, but are clean and decent. Perhaps the value for money is better for the garden bungalows than the beach bungalows. Breakfast not the best, but there are quite a few choices as well as fruit. Would come back for the location, the garden and the nice staff. PS great massages available near the pool.

I am very grateful to their staff here, they are very kind and diligent and they are very attentive to us and their other guests. even early in the morning if you need something, they will give it to you right away, and especially on the birthday of one of our friends, they even made an effort to design a happy birthday on the wall, they even printed a picture. I will come back to this hotel when I come back to El Nido Palawan. thank you very much especially to Sir Jhay and Mam Chubby hehe I forgot his name. thank you so much!!! ❤️ Highly recommended!!!!!! 💯💯💯💯✨
