Location could not be better, 1 minute from the center although very quiet, everything is needed is near and also many things you need to visit in Belgrade such as kalemegdan, splavovi and the city center are near. This hotel has received very mixed reviews and with accuracy. I, too, am limited by experience to providing an average/mixed review. I will separate this review into positives and negatives, for easy understanding. Positives: 1) Location can't be beat. This hotel is in the heartbeat of Belgrade, a 5 minute walk to the main square with restaurants, shops and cafes a plenty, and approximately a 10-15 minute perimeter from the major sightseeing attractions including the fortress, waterfront, cathedrals/churches etc. The hotel is also very nearby the central transport hubs - train and bus stations. Belgrade itself, at least the areas for sightseeing, is quite small. You can cover most of Belgrade on foot, or by local transport should you choose, making the hotel's location ideal. 2) The included breakfast buffet was excellent! There were many options and there was an excess of food to go around. The buffet breakfast included: scrambled eggs, hot boiled eggs, 3 different types of hot sausages, potato pancakes, many different types of yogurts, a large selection of cold cut meats and cheeses, lettuce, cold mixed salads, fresh cut vegetables, fresh cut fruits, whole fruits for takeaway (apples, bananas, nectarines, pears), muesli and other cold cereals, cold milk, juices, dried fruits and nuts, and other garnishes and accompaniments such as olives, pickles, etc. The hotel had an automatic coffee machine which made coffee according to your preferences - cappuccino, black coffee, espresso, hot chocolate etc. There was a large selection of tea available for you non-coffee consumers! There were many staff (I counted about 10 staff) ensuring the breakfast buffet was fully stocked/replenished at all times, guests' plates were cleared and seating was opened for new guests. The breakfast buffet runs from 7:00am to 10:00am, for early risers like me. The breakfast buffet, together with the location were the bright spots of this hotel, absolutely. 3) Staff were superb. Professional, courteous, and helpful with your every need. The hotel offered tourist maps of the city and staff were there to answer any questions you might have about your stay in Belgrade. Staffing was always in surplus, ensuring a smooth operation at the hotel. 4) Wifi was secure and signal was strong in the room and throughout the hotel. There was a flatscreen television in the room which also worked well (at least in my room) and offered a large selection of channels, but only a handful in English. I was able to find some international news channels and for me that was enough. 5) There was a little fridge in the room which I appreciated! Negatives: 1) The hotel is 100 + years old, and therefore is quite dated, including the interior, the rooms and all hotel amenities. While some might find this ”unique” or ”boutique,” I found the hotel to be in severe need of an upgrade or complete overhaul. I wish the health authorities could see this review and do something about this unsanitary and infectious place. The worst hotel I have ever been to, no one and never should someone book this fraud of hotel. The “manager” Maya Kojic is the worst and most unfriendly manager I have ever seen. She is always lying and accusing the other customers for her uncontrollable mess. She is the most ignorant, rude person I have ever met, and she does not care about the hygiene of the hotel and comfort of the customers. I had the chance to survive this hell for more than two months. During my stay and my 3-room change, the “cleaning” staff cleaned my room only 7 times. The cleaning: They do not even check the rooms regularly. They do not pick up the waste. They do not change the bedsheets and the towels and when they do, they are ALWAYS dirty. They refuse to do their job and I had to change my bedsheets alone. They use the same black water to mop the floor in every room. They use the sink to “wash” their cleaning materials and they leave the sink dirty. Since I was on a business trip me, my colleagues had to change my own waste bins, and we left the trash bags out of our rooms. The manager threatened us that “IF YOU DO THAT AGAIN I WILL THROW THE BAGS INSIDE YOUR ROOM”. She was always complaining about how dirty we left the rooms without thinking that we were in that room without basic cleaning for 2+ weeks. When you asked for cleaning you had to be there, otherwise they only changed towels and trash bags. They did not bother to clean the small depressing room. The room: It was falling apart. The a/c was always malfunctioning. It was moldy, black and dirty as a result, many of us became sick. The fridge was a sanitary hazard. It was dirty and not working properly of course. When I first entered my supposedly clean room, I was cleaning it for 2 hours finding feces on the toilet bowl, hair and every other possible stain. The breakfast: the unhealthiest choices were there. Everything was fried until dehydration; the coffee machine was serving burnt coffee but again the manager accused us for using it (!). The china was dirty of course and the staff refused to make an omelet with a simple “NO”. The leftovers were there the next day in another form of food. The molded olives were there until one day there was a new recipe with olives. Moreover, as a receptionist told us. They boiled the eggs for the whole week. Additional comments: the staff was lazy, bored, unfriendly, and full of useless excuses and most of the times expressing personal opinions about cultural matters and attacking personally some of us. If the “manager” did not have a good opinion about you then she would make your life even harder, like it was not already in this hell. The hotel corridors smelled as if something was dead and they just sprayed with an air freshener. Blocked sewage for days and of course they did not bother. We had to buy cleaning material for the room. Other than this

I stayed here in a triple room with my teenage daughter and her friend. Our arrival was a little fraught as my daughters friend - who lives near Belgrade, did not have her ID with her - so they would not let her in the room. I understand security issues but this was a 16 year old girl and both my daughter and I had ID - they could have let us in the room until she could reach her mother to send copies of the ID. The room itself was a good size and very clean and comfortable. We had a coffee machine which was great and very welcome. The pool/spa area was excellent and the girls loved it - the only negative is that after one session in a day you have to pay for it which is a shame. Breakfast was excellent and had a really good variety of food. The views from the restaurant were awesome. the safe in the room did not work and it was very small - I would recommend getting some bigger safes - that can fit a computer.

The hotel location and breakfast are fantasy. Bed is comfortable and housekeeping does a great job at keeping the room and hotel spotless. The staff at the restaurant for breakfast were very service oriented too. The hotel offers welcome water bottles, a mini fridge, a safe, bathrobes, slippers and plenty of cupboard space to store everything. They also offer excellent airport pickup service which is helpful when you arrive after a long journey. The only downside was the service at the front desk is hit or miss. When I inquired about the Nikola Tesla museum, they advised that I check it online by myself - not exactly the advice I was looking for and I had to again prompt them to confirm if I needed a booking for the English tour. But they weren’t exactly willing to call the museum or find me the right answer. I later discovered via my walking tour, the exact details I needed. If you expect tourists, tourist information and helpful service are essential. Another example was the day before checkout, I asked about taxis to the airport, a wake up call and breakfast ( only fruit and a bottle of water was all I wanted). They told me I can pay Euros for the taxi (not possible), wake up call was late and breakfast didn’t have water- all small details but points that seemed to occur every day of my stay. Other than the minor improvements needed, this hotel is worthwhile.

I have been staying in probably 1000+ hotels in over 100 countries. I almost never write hotel reviews.. but RED Belgrade is acctually worth tellling about. Too my suprice i would say it is among top 5 stays in total (even though just 4 star). Lets be short but simple, hotel staff is magnificent, they wish you a good morning, afternoon and goodnight. They deliver 100% on all services requested and much more. I got a suprice birthday cake in my room with welcome cards (as first guest / birthday) as a geusture. Check in / check out was super efficient. There is no minibar, bit staff assisted in buying items from well stocked kiosk in reception. I asked for a late check out (1830) and it was accommodaged without additonial cost. Room itself is nice, as expected from 4* in Europe, did not try other ammenities this time. The ammenities is normal, but service here beyond normal levels. They are super engaing in booking ”normal price taxi” etc... would recommend and absolutely stay again.

I stayed in this boutique hotel for four nights while in Belgrade and the experience was marvelous! It is worth the money. The included breakfast was served at the next-door Boutique2 Restaurant and amazing a la carte choices are available. The hotel does not have an elevator but it has a fancy spiral stairway. The location is in the heart of a busy pedestrian street, Knez Mihailova lined with shops, bars, restaurants and cafes. Maison Royale is mere 10 minute walk from either the Republic Square and the Belgrade Fortress. The fortress provides amazing views of the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. There is a more modern mall just a few steps away where there is grocery store, a Starbucks, restaurants and bars. The hotel provide transfers (for a fee) to and from the Nikola Tesla Airport. Parking (with a daily fee) is in the next door mall but has to be reserved when booking. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Belgrade and I would stay here again given the opportunity!

I don’t know where to start. What a terrible, filthy place. Don’t know where they get 4 stars from. Maybe their standards in Belgrade. When we arrived I wondered where the hell we were. In the middle of no where, nothing close by. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, you can’t get any drinks or anything. They have a cafe in the aquapark area if you want beer and pizza you’ll be fine. I made sure to read plenty of reviews of this place beforehand and I can’t believe people rate this place. They must stay for 1 night just to get to airport. We were stuck there for 5 nights. I did try and book elsewhere but as it was a Friday night and weekend all the nice places were booked. The reason I was so disappointed in this hotel is this was going to be the last 5 days of our six week trip and I thought that I would pay more for a nicer hotel where I can laze by the pool drinking cocktails while the three kids played in the pool. For the money I paid I was expecting something super nice. Except I got a two star motel. The floors looked like they haven’t been cleaned in forever. My bathroom didn’t have soap, toilet paper or a hairdryer when I arrived. I had to ask three times for toilet paper. And they actually don’t clean your room they take the towels, and pull up your sheets. Not even wipe the bathroom mirror. Or reload toilet paper/soap etc. The hallway stinks of smoke. The people at the desk can’t even smile or say good morning. One lady was nice Marsha I think. Breakfast was another disappointment. If it’s the weekend have fun trying to find a clean table to sit on. One lady doing all the preparing and cleaning and everything. There’s no service whatsoever. If you want something decent to eat to have to walk 500 meters with no foot path on dirt and rubbish to get to a restaurant. So that’s where I had to take my kids to eat every night. Otherwise we would have to get a two taxis as there were six of us to go anywhere and we had to wait 1 hour one night for a taxi as it was raining etc. I can’t complain enough about this awful place. Maybe for one night it would be ok. But for 5 nights a definite let down especially the money I paid for it. So disappointed. My last few days of what was a terrific holiday was spoiled. If you want somewhere nice and clean and 4star go elsewhere! Definitely not 4 star and definitely somewhere you should not visit. Oh there was even rubbish floating in the pool! Such a clean place 🙄

DO NOT STAY HERE. I booked a room through booking.com for three nights. On arrival they told me there had been a mistake (before i go any further i should say that booking.com resolved my issue and are in no way to blame) and that they had a room for me for one night only and had no space for nights two and three. ”Don't worry we'll refund you” they said, as if that solved the problem. I stated this was completely unacceptable. The manager's attitude to this was appalling. Roberto was on reception and clearly trying his best. He kept calling the manager Aleksandra Jordanov, whom made zero effort to accommodate me. Another female staff member on reception was also very poor. I asked for a cover note or something i could provide to booking.com to prove that this situation had occurred. Roberto agreed, but then the other female staff member talked him out of it. It was clear they were trying to avoid any issue with booking.com. Absolutely appalling. I was in Belgrade for a Taekwondo competition. At that point i had been dehydrated for 48h and not eaten for 72h whilst making weight. The only other hotel in walking distance of my competition venue with room available was double the price at 475 euros. In shot the staff were pathetic, the manager even worse. Do not risk this happening to you. The only person who seemed in anyway bothered about the situation was Roberto.

On a short trip with the family to visit Zemun, we discovered this residence, villa Akacija, a real gem. A stone's throw from kej, from Gardoš, from the city center., from the theater... Clean, very well furnished, possibility to prepare a coffee or tea in the morning, no traffic noise. . Very kind and helpful owners. Parking is difficult to find (not included) but the owner kindly got us a place next to the villa. Highly recommended.

Interior of the hotel is very nice, much improved since the last time. And the price for the location like that is amazing. I was pleasantly surprised and I actually like the hotel very much. People working there can be a bit annoying and maybe overly-friendly for my likings, but overall nice experience. I will definitely come again.

We enjoyed our time in the Villa Panorama in Belgrade very much. April is a good time to stay in this hotel, from the balcony you are surrounded by blossoming trees with the most lovely smell. The staff are very accommodating. We had booked dinner and had every evening a delicious meal delivered from the surrounding restaurants and served to us by the staff of the hotel. The shuttle service from and to the airport worked perfectly. There's a good regular public transport service into the centre of Belgrade, which takes about 30 to 45 minutes.

Located in a rather run down building, it's hard to spot. The building facilities are relatively old, and the design of the elevator is also old-fashioned. If the door is not closed after use, the elevator cannot be used. Reception is not a 24-hour service. It was already ten o'clock when we arrived. Fortunately, there were international calls, otherwise we would not be able to contact the staff for checkin. But the room facilities are good, cleaned every day, very tidy.

The location of the hotel is less than ten minutes away from Republic Square. There are internet celebrity coffee shops and pizzerias downstairs. The surrounding environment is good, but because the square is being renovated, vehicles cannot go directly downstairs. The apartment is on the fourth floor and you can see the surrounding landscape. It is cozy. It took some time to find a house, because first I went to the 22nd room, and the diagonally opposite is 22A. The owner was also very nice and helped to call a car to the airport.

It a lovely, quiet hotel just outside of the city centre (10 minute taxi drive costing around 900 rsd). The pool is a great feature when the weather is hot and I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are planning a summer trip. The staff were all fantastic. Really friendly and approachable. I made a great friendship with Petar and enjoyed chatting and laughing with him by the pool. He was also quick to help us out with anything we needed and did so promptly and efficiently. A really wonderful trip. Thanks!

We stayed here for one night as part of an organised tour in August 2022. Location wise, the hotel is in the old city and is a drive away from the city centre. We arrived by coach and the streets are narrow so we had to unload everything quickly. The hotel is a fairly modern building. Check in was fairly quick, even for a large group of people. Our room was on the first floor and there was one lift or stairs to take. Our triple room was a good size and was fairly modern. Everything was clean and tidy, the air con worked well and the beds were comfy. There were only 2 of us staying in a triple room, but even with a third, you would probably just about have enough space for your luggage without being on top of one another. The bathroom was also relatively large and had a big shower. The main talking point for most of us was the fact there was a glass wall between the bedroom and shower. Luckily, there's an automatic blind that you can raise and lower depending on how much privacy / how well you know your roommate! The towels were all clean and fluffy, the hot water was good and so was the water pressure. The wifi was good. The signal was relatively strong and it was fairly quick. Breakfast was downstairs, past reception. There was a good choice of hot food items (meat and eggs), toasts, cereals and other Continental options, plus fruits, dates, muffins etc. Drinks wise there were juices, coffees, teas etc. In the evening, we went up to the rooftop bar which had great views over the city. There were thunderstorms several miles away which we had a fantastic view of, all whilst sat outside as the rain wasn't falling in Belgrade! We were able to take our own drinks upstairs as the bar had closed and they were fine with that. There are a couple of restaurants near the hotel and if you walk down the hill (3 or 4 blocks) then turn right, there's a small corner shop selling water etc. Overall, I really enjoyed our stay here as the hotel was fairly modern, with good facilities.

Went for an evening business meeting whilst staying nearby in New Belgrade. The food and service were both excellent and cannot be faulted. The restaurant bar has a decking area which I am sure would be great during the spring/summer. Unfortunately too cold in November.
