The location of the Hotel is a plus, because it is near bus stops and a few minutes walk from the train station going to Venice proper. The breakfast buffet was okay, could add more choices but nonetheless we enjoyed our stay. Kudos to the night shift receptionist (forgot his name) who was very helpful and was able to book us a taxi for our early morning flight. Would definitely recommend 👍

A very good value for money, suitable for budget travel! The location is also good, more convenient. It is necessary to confirm the check-in time at the arrival of the hotel on the first day, and there is usually no one after 8:00. This is still relatively inconvenient, so if you arrive in a late flight, calculate the time in advance. avoid unnecessary trouble!

We stayed 3 nights in order to visit Venice. The staff are wonderful, polite and helpful. They made us a takeaway breakfast for the airport without us even asking. This place is incredibly good value, Our room was big & had a king size bed. The bathroom had a really powerful shower. Everything was spotless, we had towels changed and the room serviced daily. There is a brilliant restaurant around the corner on Dante Street, good quality food and not expensive. I would recommend this hotel for Venice, the bus is only 2 minutes walk and is very regular. The train station is 10 mins walk. You can get a shuttle bus from the airport for about 8€ and just walk down 1 street to the hotel. The breakfast was ok, croissants, nice fresh bread rolls, yoghurt, juice, cereal. Plenty for a speedy breakfast before an early start in Venice. (Get there as early as you can to beat the crowds and see the massive operation of getting the City into action) The Wifi in the hotel was great. There was a TV with only Italian channels, but it did have music channels as well. This hotel is such a bargain. Enjoy!

The staff were friendly and Lorenzo, in particular, was especially helpful and accommodating. He went the extra mile to ensure my stay was comfortable, even arranging a specific breakfast for me during Ramadan. Overall, the price for the hotel was more than reasonable.

Pros: 1. Excellent location - close to bus/tram stop to Venice, 3 minutes walk (tickets can be bought at the hotel reception). Also around a lot of cafes, convenient. 2. The rooms are pleasant, there is a refrigerator, air conditioning 3. The hotel is small, it was quiet Cons are not critical, but still: 1. There are no screens on the windows, we were bitten by mosquitoes 2. The air conditioner is very old and noisy, even at minimum power. But we slept with him, we got very tired during the day in Venice) 3. The shower door does not close completely 4. We missed a kettle in the room

Stayed here just for 1 Night but we can gladly say that it’s worth the price! 📍Location: Perfect, right in front of the train & bust station 10’ away from Venice with the bus (ticket 3€ back/forth) 🛎️ Staff: Everyone from the reception up to the maid were all very friendly.. When we arrived we realised that all the previous reviews were correct. The area is not safe at all and there are men hanging around on the corner of the hotel for hours on end. I know this isn’t the hotels fault, however, there’s no extra security in place and hotel reception staff aren’t 24/7. On the 3rd night, due to there not being aircon, we had to leave the window open (these windows open 2 different ways - like a normal window or a safety way where only the top opens towards the room). At 3.30am we were woken up to an intruder who was trying to break into our room through trying to open the window from the outside by using a metal screwdriver to open it. We had to shout, scream and push the door shut and as two ladies in a room we couldn’t get back to sleep. There was no phone in the room to contact reception, which wouldn’t have mattered anyway as there was no one around. It was horrible & when we tried to tell the lady at reception the next day, she didn’t do anything, just said she’d check the cameras like she didn’t believe us. We were in such a hurry to leave the hotel. We were in a room separate from the main hotel, down the road, which looked like old council flats. The room itself is very basic. Nothing in the mini fridge, our window was broken on the first day and we had to wait 30 minutes for a handy man to come and fix it. We only got one pillow and even though we asked for another one, we never got it. The beds were really hard and our bedding wasn’t changed, just made everyday. The shower was exceptionally small but it was powerful. you can hear every single thing that happens in the rooms next door. We were woken up by people showering in different rooms at 6am. The breakfast is very dissatisfying. There are two sittings - on our first day the breakfast lady refused us entry as our names hadn’t been put on the sheet where you have to say which sitting - an error by the reception staff as we had booked the night before. The breakfast itself had all ran out by the time we were able to sit down. 1 bit of cheese left and no fruit. Very basic so we decided to get breakfast out the next day. As there are no reception staff, we couldn’t check out before 8am, however we had to be at the airport for 8.30 so we went to reception to hand the key back in. The lady was very rude and told us we should’ve checked out last night? How would we have got into our room? she also was rude and told us that we should’ve booked our taxi the night before too (even though the previous staff who were very helpful said come to reception in the morning. We left feeling very unsafe and worried that we hadn’t been able to check out. We were hoping to speak to the manager but the woman just walked away. It’s such a shame as the younger staff were really helpful and friendly at the start. But it’s not safe - I wouldn’t feel safe on my own and I didn’t feel safe with two of us. It is close to the train station, but you don’t feel safe walking there

The hotel is located at the high speed exit, 1.4 kilometers from the train station and takes only 18 minutes. The train will soon take you to Venice. 2. Free parking with plenty of parking spaces, no problem overnight; 3. The surroundings of the hotel are very good, the Parkhotel deserves its name and the dinner also has the characteristics of northern Italy. 4. The lobby is decent and the space is fine. The front desk and the waiters are very welcoming. Overall, a great and very comfortable stay.

We stayed here prior to our cruise last May. Super nice staff and the owner. The rooms are clean and the free hot breakfast is sufficient. They have omelet or other eggs to order. No elevator but the staff will carry your luggage up and down the stairs. 5 minutes walk to train station and the bus to Venice is just around the corner. Bus tickets available at the hotel. They stored our luggage for free while we did our side trip to Milan for 2 days. I cannot say enough, I highly recommend this hotel.

When we went, the booked hotel was under renovation, so it was directly arranged to the next door. The hotel is also a four-star hotel, which seems to be a d starting hotel. They are all owned by the same company ... but the breakfast is not as good as described ... just Normal continental breakfast ... not much choice for yogurt lovers ... maybe because it's not the same hotel? ? ? The room is very big and warm, there is a large radiator in the toilet, and only central air conditioning in the room ... so the clothes can only be hung in the toilet hhhh

The location of this hotel is particularly good, right next to the railway station.It's only a 20-minute bus ride from the main island to the mainland. And you can choose breakfast every morning. Even better, some concerts and parties are often held in the evening. I see they are trying best to create a better and comfortable accommodation environment here.

Myself and my daughter travelled from England as a 21st birthday treat for my daughter and stayed for 4 nights. The hotel is in a perfect location, you can get a number 2 bus outside that takes you in to venice. The train station is a 25 minute walk or you can get a number 2 bus there also. The hotel sell bus tickets for 3 euros each. You can get a coach from the train station to to the airport for 10 euros. There are lots of shops and restaurants just a 2 minute walk from the restaurant. The hotel is lovely, very clean and tidy. The air conditioning in the room is wonderful, their is also a fridge and a safe. Our room was cleaned daily. We had breakfast included and I'm really glad we did, the breakfast room is very pretty (looks better than photos) and there was lots of choice, scrambled eggs, toast,cereals,yogurts,fruit, croissants, cakes and more. The staff were so lovely to us. Our European plug didn't work, the kind staff member lent one to us which was an absolute godsend, thank you so much, another staff member suggested getting the bus from the train station to the airport which really helped us, thank you. The owners were also really lovely. We saw the lady every morning at breakfast, she worked very hard making sure our breakfast was perfect and it was. The Husband was equally as lovely helping his wife and also managing the desk and his English was great too. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

It has a comfortable location for the center because it is near the tram stop T1 and bus, in 10/15 minutes you reach Piazzale Roma doge gondole and bus ship to reach the center of Venice. The room was very good, but we know it was not the staff's fault.

The hotel you couldn't really fault to be honest, it was cheap & cheerful, very basic but just what you need for a 4 day/3 night break. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel so can't comment, glad I didn't pay for breakfast though because you can just get up earlier and venture into Venice for this. We arrived at the hotel around 9am not expecting to be able to check in until 3pm, but the lady accommodated check in for no extra charge as there was a room available. The room we had did not represent the nice white/cream rooms as per the pictures on *********** - it was grey/red with wooden flooring. Lacked mirrors (only had one in the bathroom) which was difficult for 2 girls trying to get ready at the same time, could have done with a floor length mirror in the main bedroom area. The door lock system for the rooms are quite loud and we did wake up on the second day quite early because we heard presumably next doors door opening. We had the bed made / fresh towels every morning which was good as we didn't expect this. City tax was paid in full when we arrived on the first day - think it was around £16 for 4 days. To get to the hotel from the airport there is an airport shuttle bus for 10 euros return. The transport links are really really good and very easy to get in and out of Venice. There is a tram stop behind the hotel about 5 min walk taking around 10 min into Venice or a bus stop at the side of the hotel about 2 min walk taking around 15 min to Venice. You must buy tickets BEFORE you get on any public transport (we unfortunately didn't know this and got fined 50 euros per person!!). There is an app you can download called AVM Venezia, and you are best paying 5 euro daily pass for bus or tram unlimited use for 24 hours - make sure to activate the ticket BEFORE getting on transport because if not it makes the ticket invalid. All in all had a really good trip, the hotel was very accessible, and just what you need. If i was to come back to Venice I would definitely stay outside of Venice again, local to Hotel Alexander (or even come back to the same hotel - but would request one of the newly renovated rooms as per the pics publicised).

On my way to another hotel in the area after getting slightly lost and it being around the midnight hour, I stopped here for directions. The very kind receptionist gave me the directions needed. Another receptionist was getting off duty at the time and walking to her home along part of the way. I made it to my intended destination without any trouble using the perfect directions given. I stayed here in October for 5 days. The hotel was perfect and had everything I needed. It was extremely clean and well kept, and affordable! The location is perfect if you don't want to stay right in Venice on the island. A great breakfast every morning and the train and bus are very easy to access to get you to anywhere. The best part -Alex!! She was so kind and helped me with planning everything I wanted to do. I was traveling alone and she went above and beyond to make my stay incredible!! We went out of the city on a prosecco tour that blew me away. It was so nice to see the beautiful countryside. I can't say enough about how great it was for me!! I hope to go back again!! I chose the Russott Hotel by random Google search, when I was planning a work trip to Venice, and I was not disappointed in my choice: this hotel, despite it being in need of refurbishment upon my initial thoughts, was a Wonderful experience. it is a True Vencian experience, and the close link to a tram stop (3 minutes walk) to Venice Old town, it turned out to be a Wonderful choice . Lovely experience staying here for 5 nights, lovely and friendly staff. Staff were extremely helpful with any questions we had with travel or places to eat ect. The room was good, clean and tidy with hair dryer, mini fridge & tv. He helped us book excursions and showed us exactly where to go and what times. Massive shout out to the gentleman on reception everyday 11am-11pm nothing is ever a trouble ans always greeted with a smile. The hotel location was great 10 minute tram to Venice central. A grocery store just up the road, followed by bars, amazing pizza takeaway, geleteo bar. To anyone like us (couple) looking for a nice place to stay on your city break, this is the perfect place to crash. Don’t be put off by 2 star rating !!!

I have been travelling to many cities in Europe for a month, and I would say this hotel is one of the best hotels that I have ever visited. Definitely loved its convenient location, considering that you only need to walk a few minutes to get to the bus stop that takes you to Venice and less than 10 minutes to get to the train station. The room that we had was simply amazing. It was big and clean and the bed was really comfortable. Didn’t expect it to be this grand because of how cheap the cost was.

Purchased a last minute wowcher Holliday, including the hotel San Carlo, Mestre, Venice. As it wasn’t a bank breaking trip, we didn’t really expect much from the hotel, but upon arrival, we were greeted by lovely staff, a clean, large size room with good facilities. Staff were very helpful with transportation and information of the city. Hotel is located perfectly, 20 mins from the airport (£8pp bus ride) and a 5 minute walk away from the tram to take you to and from the heart of Venice (£3 return pp). Couldn’t fault it, will definitely be using again.

Typical Hilton so quality was not bad. Rather than paying v high hotel rates in Venice people should consider Hilton as it is v reasonable. There are two buses right outside the door with the 2nd stop that brings you to Venice bus terminals. You can walk in to Venice or take a ferry within 30 min with things to see whilst you are walking.
