The Duke of the Hospitality We arrived in Ravello, the "Divine Coast" perle at a concert dedicated to Astor Piazzolla in the wonderful beauty of Villa Rufolo, and decided to stay in a delicious BB, a step from Duomo Square. We welcome the disarmant smile of Peter - patron and button soul of the Duke of Ravello - who with gentleness and sincere warmth welcomes us in this corner of paradise, managed with care, commitment and so much passion. Our suite is surrounded by the lush green terraces of the nearby village of Scala - known since the most remote period, as the first residential settlement of the Amalfi coast, even before the most blasphemed Positano and Amalfi. Within a very pleasant Vietrese ceramic floor heating the white candle of the environment with the tones of green, blue and gold yellow. The hotel is a 5-star hotel with a comfort and cleanliness. The birds' haircut accompanied our wake after a quiet and quiet night. We find Peter's smile and delicacy at breakfast, served “open air” on the terrace surrounded by the green garden. Selection of regional yoghurt, English marmelades, croissant fragrantes, rich Macedonia just made with fresh fruit, orange pressed at km 0 and a skimmed milk moulded perfectly - all prepared and served by dear Peter. Unfortunately, it is time to leave this “delightful nid” where I advise with absolute sincerity, to spend a stay that will remain in the heart and memory of each one. Good, dear Peter, continue with love and enthusiasm you put in your work!

Vista D' Amalfi Stayed 2 nights. Situated in beautiful picturesque village of Amalfi Our dream visit became a reality With amazing views of the Ocean. Our host Antonio welcomed us. We reached by train from Rome to Sorento and Sita bus to Amalfi Ferry's were not operating due to Season and no ferries from Sorrento and Positano in winter and rock falling prevented bus going that route also. The bus drive took 1 and half hour but the views and experience of the bends was insane. To get to the accommodation it Would be better to meet Antonio as it is a bit tricky to get to, through a Tunnel and accessible by house keys, remember to make enough time for Travelling before dark as check-in Ends at 6.30pm Room number 9 was beautiful and spacious With a touch of avocado green and a Balcony with remarkable views Bathroom was modern with a Shower and a view of the ocean Free WiFi available and bottled water received daily safe can be found in the room Kettle and coffee facilities And a delicious breakfast was included to enjoy on the balcony and Within walking distance of shops and restaurants Everything was as we imagined it would be Would definitely return in spring to enjoy the warm waters and less traffic Thank you Antonio our host for your hospitality We enjoyed a meal at Pizza Al Taglio Coffee shop ,pizza, paninis and croissants. Delicious and large pizza slices served with a cappuccino In the alleys of famous Amalfi Coast Italy Cost us about 1.80 euros each for slice of pizza Paninis 5 Euros Cappuccino 3 euros

I'm surprised by the negative reviews I'm seeing for this place as we enjoyed ourselves. That being said, I can understand how this place is sort of a young-mans game and you have to be flexible. Our flights got all messed up and we were going to be coming into Amalfi much later than we expected - 8:30 PM instead of the scheduled 2:00 PM. I called the moment we learned that our plans had changed and the guy I spoke with couldn't give me any promises and I just needed to confirm that we would have a place to sleep that night, considering we already paid. I think what is frustrating about this is that when this property is advertised as a hotel, you expected to have the flexibility and accessibility of a hotel. However, this is more of a room rental in a BNB. We were able to work it out with the gentleman at the front desk and check ourselves in with the lock box. But, we had to communicate with him via WhatsApp (something most Americans don't have, and I had to redownload). Anyway, yes, you will have to pay for parking in cash at the garage up the street. And you've got a huff up the 157 stairs to your room. We stayed in one of the attic rooms so the roof is slanted and definitely limits your ability to walk around. But, the room was pristine, updated, and comfortable! You can enjoy a classic European breakfast on the patio which is included with your stay. Like I said, I young-mans game but in Amalfi it was a cool spot.

This hotel seems to be an institution, which lives (well, assumingly) on letting time pass and just remain as it always was. It is true to its own authentic concept. This seems appealing to many – including us, but it is understandable when some reviewers find it slightly outdated, worn out, and hardly worth its fourth star. WE LIKED: Hotel Luna Convento’s location (4 minutes to the center of Amalfi), the amazing sea view, a wonderful warm welcoming by the night porter (we arrived at 01:45 AM), new soundproof windows with shutters, free parking across the street, super friendly staff, good quality breakfast buffet. ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT: The entire structure appears slightly tired. Our room was spartanly decorated and the old Samsung TV set undersized for 2022. The restaurant…. Oh boy…! We had our dinner in the restaurant one night. The best thing to say about it was our choice of an excellent 65€ 2016 Amarone red wine. As starters we had Vitello Tonnato. The veal was well cooked and the slices appropriate. The sauce should be “a rich fish sauce made from tuna, capers, and anchovy”, but it was thin as ketchup and – believe it or not –served with drops of ketchup on top. One of our mains was pasta with peas and meat. The pasta penne were undercooked – not even al dente. There were a few peas – most likely frozen, and perhaps 30 grams (1 ounce) of undefined meat. The entire dish was utterly tasteless. The only positive thing to say about this disappointment is that it was served in a crisp and tasty cheese basket. My partner had cannelloni with shrimps and ricotta. Fragments of shrimp were found in the ricotta – but the cannelloni was deep-fried and tasted as such. Most likely the cannelloni was a prefabricated frozen product. To be polite, this was the worst meal we had on our trip – and such a shame because the waiter, in a white dinner jacket, and the perfectly set tables raise one's expectations to a different level. Hotel Luna Convento’s restaurant gets one star for the table setting and the friendly waiter. The food gets ZERO!

We began our anniversary celebrations at La Ninfa and it was truly a memorable experience. Gorgeous hotel, helpful staff and delicious food! It is situated at the top of a cliff with a beautiful view of the beach and only a few minutes walk down to the beach. If your trip brings you to La Ninfa Amalfi then request for room 5 as it has an attached private balcony.

We spent two nights at the Marina Riviera and we could have easily stayed longer. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the main square. The room was spotless clean and spacious, with a massive window facing the sea. The staff were wonderful and helpful. But one memory in particular I will cherish for a long time... the atmosphere on the terrace. The floor tiles, the breeze coming from the sea, the view.. Whether early in the morning for breakfast or for an early evening aperitivo or a delicious dinner, that terrace was a beautiful spot to go back to time and time again. This is an unmistakably refined and almost understated place, straight back from a bygone era where the Mediterranean meets great hospitality👍😊

Stayed here 2 nights. Got a large room facing the Mediterranean Sea. Great view. A bit hard to find the hotel.. Had to ask around before someone showed us the steep 30 to 35 steps to reach the hotel. From the outside hotel is very run down and needs a lot of maintenance. But it has been refurbished and the room we got was large with quirky retro fittings and colours. Comfortable and clean. Breakfast adequate. Staff very attentive. Asked if they had Soya milk which they did not. But next morning at breakfast there was soya milk on the table. Thank you for this. Value for money. Ok for a good night's sleep.

We had the most wonderful 4 night experience at Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi! The staff is the most welcoming, friendly & hard-working group of people. They reached out before our trip and helped plan every detail including car transfer, a lovely boat trip along the coast (a highlight), a trip to Pompeii with a lunch at a vineyard, recommendations for hiking and touring, and dinner reservations each night. We arrived at our room which overlooked the sea, including a large patio with a hot tub. The staff surprised us with a special bottle of prosecco and chocolates with a warm note to greet us. Everything was perfect! The hotel room is modern, very clean and very comfortable. It is decorated simply and cleanly but comfortable. I have to give a special shout out to Francesca Flora and Mikal! Thanks for making us feel like we were visiting family! I can't say enough about the beauty of the hotel. The grounds include an outdoor infinity pool with great bar service, a lemon tree orchard/walk, a gorgeous restaurant with a great terrace with a view. The hotel has a gym (which I didn't check out) and an outdoor gym (bikes and equipment) with the same gorgeous view. The breakfast was amazing and delicious. We ordered our breakfast to our patio each morning but I know you can go the restaurant if preferred. Thanks for making our trip special and romantic! We loved every second and will be back!

My wife and I had the surprising distinction of being the very first guests to arrive as the Miramalfi opened for the season. From the smoothness of their operations, I would not have guessed that it was their first day back open! Before we arrived, I had been slightly worried that the hotel’s location would be inconvenient, as it is outside Amalfi proper. I need not have worried! A shuttle was on-call to take us into town and back at our convenience. Our comfortable corner room included a balcony with an unmatched view of the town of Amalfi. The staff was endearingly courteous. At breakfast, I couldn’t take one step toward my table before someone asked to carry my plate and pulled out my chair for me. They also diligently arranged a massage for us and a marvelous dinner at the hotel restaurant Donna Emma. When the time came to leave—in a car for the Napoli airport that the hotel had reserved—it was with a heavy heart. Our stay at the Miramalfi was a magnificent grand finale for our trip.

Small, tucked in at the end of a narrow via, L'Antico Convitto is a perfect place to call home on a visit to Amalfi! We had one of the smaller rooms, no problem for the two of us, but it was charming and very comfortable. Breakfast was of the typical spread but fresh and satisfying. The biggest appeal, however, is the personal touch of owner Gennaro, His warm, friendly manner is instantly welcoming. He spent a good 30 minutes sharing things with us about the town, giving us ideas on where to go, what to do, Wonderfully so, the hotel is connected to set tours they offer guests free of charge! We lucked out and were able to go on the guided hike along the Path of the Gods. Absolutely this is a MUST do!!! Incredible views you'll have to pinch yourself to believe are real! Gennaro is obviously as enamored with his hometown as visitors are, the pride and passion evident on his face as he shares and enjoys listening to his guests excitement over their experiences. The hotel is also in a perfect location... not too far up the main pedestrian road, very close to the bus terminal, and steps away from many great restaurants and shops. We did have a car, and once we figured out the initially confusing system, parking in the underground parking "cave" was not difficult. This is a fabulous place to stay...highly recommend for its comfort, charm, and the TLC offered by the owners, We'll hopefully be back in Amalfi in early summer - no question our #1 choice on where to stay!

The location of this hotel is fantastic. It was so closely located to the centre of Amalfi, that it was easy and convenient to pop back whenever we wanted to escape or needed something. We were worried about “the noise” of the main square that the hotel overlooks but we are heavy sleepers and it didn’t bother us. Amalfi is a magical place and this hotel really added to that magic. The view from our room overlooking the square and cathedral was amazing. The concierge Saif was incredibly friendly and helpful and gave us lots of tips. The other member of staff was also cheerful and energetic. Breakfast was standard but on the rooftop terrace which was a great start to the day. A downside of this hotel is that some aspects are a little dated, for example, some of the plug sockets didn’t work, the towels while clean and changed daily were rough and the AC took a while to get going. This being said, we loved this place for the location and the staff and would visit again.
