The hotel is short 7-minute ride from the airport. The University is very close at just over a mile away. The hotel has many food options within a short walk and even a Harvest Market Grocery store that serves hot food as well as a full grocery store. The hotel staff was kind and got us our rooms quickly. The rooms were clean and large. The full galley kitchen was nice for heating up foods. It has a full size dishwasher and microwave. They have skillets in the lobby if you prefer to cook something more in-depth. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were kind of flat. Be sure to ask for more upon checking into your room. The room also had a pullout couch and privacy curtain. The WiFi was fast but requires a password. The hotel has many amenities to include an indoor pool, fitness room, outdoor grills, and a breakfast bar. The fitness room has cardio machines and a cable machine. The grills were the only thing open during my stay due to COVID-19. The restaurants nearby were allowing seating both inside and outside during my stay

Savoy

I have been trying to find a less expensive hotel in the Champaign/Urbana area that is clean and feels safe. I come down here often to visit my sons. The Best Western in Savoy is a find! The staff were welcoming, efficient and kind. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was the best that I have experienced for a hotel in this price range. I was really impressed and will definitely stay here again!

I sent the child to start school in August, and walked to the champagne freshman check-in point for about 20 minutes. As shown in the picture, the culvert is the school's park range. In fact, there is a bus at the entrance of the hotel. . There is no bus fare from the school, and the school is free, and the child is free to take the bus driver with a student card. The attitude of the driver is too good and enthusiastic. There is a big supermarket about 3 minutes from the hotel. The room is very big. Extra beds are available. There is a parking lot. The front desk will ask you if you want to park. Breakfast is buffet and a la carte. Coffee and orange juice are refilled for free. Stayed 10 days, 40% off the early room rate.

There are several supermarkets around it that are more convenient to buy daily necessities. There are several restaurants along the street to eat more conveniently. The front desk attendant is very thoughtful and asked many questions are very enthusiastic. There is still a long way to go from UIUC, walk for half an hour and take a taxi for 5 minutes.

The hotel was one of the regular go-to properties when visiting the area, but never a standout. This time we had problems with room plumbing, missing items, noise outside the room and a staff that was expert at robotically citing hotel policy, but not expert in listening to customer requests or offering a creative win-win solution for both that would have really helped me and required little of them. The breakfast was so-so, borderline inedible. I'd approach with limited expectations. Not my favorite hotel in the Urbana-Champaign area.

The staff at this hotel are top notch. They could not have made our experience better from check in to check out. We stay at Disney hotels often, and honestly the customer service at the I Hotel was as good or better. Beds were comfortable and rooms were quiet. Breakfast was well stocked and the entire hotel was kept clean.

First of all, I made reservations online with my company discount so my price was 20% off the normal price. I paid in full before i arrived. When we got there I went to the front desk to get my key card. The clerk was on the phone with her friend complaining about how horrible her day was she asked me to hold on so she could carry on this conversation with her friend. Finally when she got off the phone the woman checked my reservation and said that she was going to have to charge me more because of my kids which I included in my online reservation. I had to explain to this woman over and over that my children were already included in my reservation in the part that asks how many adults and how many children. I even put their ages. I explained that the reason my price was lower was because of my discount. Besides that I ALREADY PAID ONLINE. Anyway then she said well im going to have to charge a $60 deposit too. Now in all the hotels I've ever stayed at you only have to pay a deposit if your paying with cash. If you pay with credit then they just charge your card if there are damages. I told her that nothing was said about a deposit when I made the reservations on the website and I'VE ALREADY PAID! She started panicking saying ”she will be in so much trouble if she doesn't charge me the deposit” we went back and forth about it for a few minutes and then she said ”can you please do $40 deposit and you will get it back right away at check out so I won't get in trouble” finally I gave in and gave her my debit card. I grabbed my receipt quickly and turned to go outside to get my bags as this had already taken FOREVER. She then stops me to tell me that there will be no continental breakfast(which is one of their amenities) the soda machine is broke, the ice machine is broke and we need to giggle the handle to get the shower to work. So these are the things she tells me AFTER I've already checked in. As we go upstairs we realize that the microwave was shattered, the mini fridge did not work and we pretty much had to beg the maid for enough towels for the 5 off us to each have 1. I glanced at my receipt and saw that the clerk actually charged me $60 when she promised it would only be$40 for the deposit. The rest of the night was ok. Then we went to check out and the man on the morning shift said the $60 would be transferred back onto my debit card but that took 2 weeks! Long story short I would definitely not recommend this pace. It was a terrible experience.

This is the most expensive hotel in the University of Urbana-Champaign area, more expensive than the Hyatt Regency in downtown Chicago, but it didn't see the ball game. The breakfast is not as good as that of Home Inns in China. Just one or two kinds of bread, jam, coffee, yogurt, and oranges. can not imagine!
