Bellingham
|2.45km from city centerI'm a snobby Ambassador, and wasn't happy that I had to stay at a Four Points when in Bellingham WA last week. What a Great Surprise I found at this property. To be clear..it isn't a Ritz, but the room was very clean. Nicely appointed. Had a K-Kup Coffee Machine, Microwave and a nice size refrigerator with full freezer. The bathroom was nicely appointed, and the shower was strong. This property had two separate restaurants to chose from. B-Town featured not only Indoor Seating, but a vey cool outdoor patio with a variety of seating options. Low tables, high bar style tables, and multiple Fire Pits with table seating around them. Probably the best ”Hotel Food” I've had in 20 years. The Brussel Sprouts were roaster perfectly. I can't be totally sure, but I believe the Fried Calamari must have been hand cut from a steak, then breaded and fried perfectly. I had a Veggie Burger, and my companion did the Fish and Chips. A+ Breakfast was served in yet another space. Nice choice of traditional cooked breakfast, but I was able to eat well with Stone Cut Oatmeal, yoghurt and fruit, etc. There is a Fred Meyer Grocery store in the shared parking lot, so easy to get water, and snacks. You'll be happy you stayed here!

|3.91km from city centerBefore arrival i requested a double bed room for two nights. Upon arrival I was told my room was double booked and I had to get a single bed room for 4 people. Then magically a two bed room was available after complaining. I was then told that my card had to be ran again because I was not given the two nights requested. Upon entry of the room It was the most disgusting establishment I’ve ever encountered, hair clogging the tub with others peoples Bodily fluid, dirt and grime, paper of some sort all in the drain. I took video of the drain during the process because my time was very limited I was there for a wedding that my whole family was staying in the hotel and we were all from out of town and I live over six hours away and was very tired and needed to shower so I had no choice but to unclog the drain myself and in the process some thing in the drain cut the side of my finger as shown in the video the tool that I was using was not even nowhere near able to cut the side of my finger. I showed the video to the young man at the front desk. He viewed it and made notes. I’ve complained everyday since checking in until today which is almost a whole week later. Still no one has got in touch with me about my complaints. Customer service is a whole issue as well. Don’t know if it was because I am a BLACK TRANS MALE The older female that ran the front during the day time was rude and non emphatic as well as unapologetic to my complaints. I’ve never been treated so poorly. I would never recommend this establishment to anyone let alone stay here ever again. And of course it won’t allow me to add the video.

|3.49km from city centerOur first time staying here and we were surprised at how well kept the property is. For a 9 year old property, the place looks spanking new and very well looked after. The 2 queen bed room is large, comfortable with plenty of lighting and space for everything. We liked how the toilet and a second sink is in a separate little room. There was a little microwave and fridge which is very useful. Towels were all in excellent shape and sparkling white and hot water pressure great. The air conditioner was quiet and kept us cool. There was a full breakfast at 6 am on weekdays but we didn’t stay as we had an early flight to catch. They do give a grab and go breakfast bag which consisted of a little bottle of water, a cup of cereal, amd an oatmeal bar. They no longer run their airport shuttle so we parked at the Bellingham airport for $10 day iso pay $10 a day at the hotel. It is only a 5 mi Ute drive from hotel to airport. The property itself is also close to Fred Meyer and Costco and we will definitely return. Our only constructive criticism would be better train their new young staff to show a smile and make their guests feel welcomed as we did not get that at all. How about a smile and say “welcome” and be a true ambassador for the Marriott brand?! Hopefully with time, the young new staff will learn how to better welcome their guests and how to improve customer service.

|3.65km from city centerThis was a very nice hotel in a great area. I enjoyed my stay here and would stay again.
Great breakfast with eggs and sausage and potatoes and biscuits and gravy and all sorts or food.
Also 24 hour access to juice and coffee and tea.
They even have a little store at the front with some food and frozen meals and whatnot.
The pool was obviously not used very often or something. It just looked a bit forgotten but we still enjoyed it so 5 stars all around

|3.93km from city centerI had booked a couple treatments at the Spa, which I had saved up gift cards from the last 3 years. I booked over the phone because I wanted a recommendation of what massage to get for back and neck pain. I unfortunately went with their recommendation which was not a massage at all. I'm not going to say which treatment it was, because it's not the employees fault, it was simply not what I was needing or asked for. I was completely mislead in choosing a treatment. And for someone who does this *maybe* once every couple years, I am beyond disappointed. I spoke to the receptionist as I was checking out. When she asked how my service was I was honest but there wasn't any mention of resolution. The response was ”I'm so sorry, your total is..”. There were a few people behind me so I checked out and left because I didn't want to hold up the line. I emailed the chrysalis after my appointment, explaining the situation and asking for a refund for the 90 minute service. They messaged back unapologetically and offered 30 minutes of a massage. I then asked if I could get a 30 minute refund instead and I never got a response. I've emailed them twice since and have received nothing. I've gone here once every few years since I was a teenager, and have recommended it to my family and friends. But I will now be telling all of them not to come to the chrysalis because the customer service in management is terrible. There are other great spas and professionals in the area, I'd recommend everyone to go somewhere else. Super lame chrysalis

|3.19km from city centerThe hotel was clean and free of clutter. The décor was modern and tasteful. I found the front desk very courteous and welcoming. The meet and greet hour was good in the sense that it gave us a free coupon for either a clam chowder and drink. The exterior was clean and free of garbage. The rooms were large and spacious. The soaps and shampoos were dispensed from a large bottle and they smelled good, if you like lemon grass sage. I will definitely go back to this hotel if I am ever in Bellingham again.

Bellingham
|4.14km from city centerWe stayed at the Comfort Inn in Bellingham, Washington for 6 nights in February 2020. We were visiting a close relative in the hospital for the last few days of their life. Our original plan was to stay for 3 nights but our stay was extended two times first for one night, then for two more. Each time we contacted the hotel to confirm the extension and prepaid the stay while reserving the same room for simplicity. Our concerns have to do with hygiene and housekeeping. Hotel renovations moved the breakfast room to a small conference room which created understandable congestion. However, we found a long hair in the fresh tray of eggs one morning. The sheets on our bed were not changed for the entire 6 nights of our stay. We know this because my wife had a small scab on her elbow that cracked and bled a few drops of blood on the first night and the bloodied sheet was never changed during our entire stay. I even pointed it out to the night manager after the 5th night, who assured me he would pass on the concern to housekeeping. We discovered the next night sheets still had not been changed. The hotel reflects its age. The hide-a-bed that my daughter slept in was broken down and sagged making her stay very uncomfortable. I am sorry to report this inn experience was a disappointment and warrants reconsideration if hygiene is important. Interestingly, the hotel in response to my similar comments on their website simply requested we give them another chance. Why should we?

|2.91km from city centerFor whatever reason I couldn't get my booking.com to go through, so we came here directly and the price was slightly lower. It's a pretty run-of-the-mill spot, but we came for the in-room jacuzzi for a treat for my husband and he probably spent 1 1/2 hours in it. It's big and relaxing, plenty of hot water, they supply the bubble bath, and best was that the jacuzzi tub is in the room, not tucked in a bathroom. The shower in the bathroom wasn't great, and I did have trouble understanding the lady at reception, but who cares...my husband had a great soak in a king room that only cost $140!
