👍 Located on the best beach in Borneo. Forget about KK, if you want to have the best borneo experience, drive to this place (if possible). Private pool on your villa, 45 seconds walk to the beach, the sunset view is way better than the one in Tanjung Aru Beach. 👎 Come prepare with groceries to cook for yourself or drive to the closest restaurant (Tommy's Place or Seafood Restaurant - only cash)

This was my second visit. The hotel is located approximately 800 meters from an unspoiled stretch of coastline. It's a great choice for those seeking a more secluded experience. I primarily came for snorkeling, catching sea urchins, and trying my hand at catching lobsters (though I didn't manage to land any).

We had a perfect time at Eaglebay Retreat. It’s truly an undisturbed paradise. You have an entire house and hundreds of meters of coastline all to yourself. Every morning, you can wake up in the sunshine and decide whether to go snorkeling or just relax in the sun—you have the choice. The sunsets were always perfect, and experiencing them on a paddleboard is far better than being in a crowded place like KK. At the same time, the retreat offers a wide range of activities that are both rich and reasonably priced—paddleboarding, jet skiing, kayaking, and more, so you’ll never feel bored. During our stay, Arlyn and h is family provided us with everything we needed: they inflated our paddleboards, helped us arrange sea activities, climbed trees to pick coconuts for us, and prepared delicious meals. Whenever we needed them, they were always available, without intruding on our privacy. Their presence was always perfectly balanced. I would also like to thank Faizal, who did a lot of work before our arrival, and Jamri, the kind lady who helped us recover our lost Apple Pencil during our stay. She assisted in finding it, came up with several ways to return it (considering Eaglebay Retreat’s remote location), and finally delivered it to my friend personally, asking for nothing in return. Your kindness will be remembered. Yes, I think we would definitely recommend this place to our friends, and we will visit Eaglebay again in the future.

We booked the hotel room at the very last minute so we didn’t get the ocean view. Thankfully, the room is clean and nice. And the receptionist is friendly and nice.

Good place to see sunrise Nice two nights stay, staff are super friendly , free breakfast for us ( thank you so much as we run out of cash) Have socket outlet , hot water , wifi , aircon , towel, shower gel There’s two dogs there quite friendly but just like to bark in the beginning, doesn’t bite No shampoo, toilet paper provided , so remember to bring one yourself

Only soap and no body shampoo is provided. There is also only one bottled water. Also suggest to provide bath robes and smart TV to elevate the quality. Room is not sound proof so when people walk by it's quite noisy. But other than that, the room is clean, well lit and water heater works well.

Beautiful view, perfect for photography. It's just that the condition of the room may be a bit old, the first hut we stayed in had an aircond problem, it wasn't cold. And there is a smell of mice that indicates that the hut has been inhabited for a long time. But we were moved to another hut that smelled less of rats and was more clean, only the toilet part had cracks on the floor. The position of the hut is close to the forest. Where there are only two families in that part, we entered. So it's a bit scary too. If the hut is close to the loading point, there is no problem because there are many people. It's just that the new year experience is best because there are fireworks. For those who want to stay here, it's better to have a snack as there is no restaurant. Breakfast or lunch delivery to hut and there are only 3 menus. Thanks

Basic but clean and tidy and very friendly. Sink had a bucket under it as it leaked but no big deal. Good value.
