Got a cheaper deal, last room on last block 5. I need to walk a little far from the lobby but it's less noisy at night because it is far from the cruise jetty and the bar at centre court, more privacy. The view is great, the nights full of stars in November you can bring your own telescope. The restaurant is closed after 6pm and only has one bar open. Non halal, it also served alcohol. Have a game room to play dart, pool, foosball, and watch EPL. Buffet bbq and cruise dinner available nearby the jetty. Got an infinity pool and also a large children's pool. Good for family and group stay. It has free shuttle service to Cenang Mall. I suggest spending the evening at Cenang Beach, having dinner there and taking a grab around MYR 7-10 to get back to the Resort. Nightlife is happening more at Cenang Beach, but this resort is more private. You can get a cheaper Island Hopping Package (can buy online) at 9am-1pm at the nearby jetty too. Room amenities include a safe box (mine was out of battery that time), iron and iron board, hairdryer, mini bar, electric kettle, towel, toiletries and no bathrobe.From$49

The staff here was extremely friendly and helpful. There is a travel agency in the lobby open during work hours where you can get helpful information about tours, local beaches, restaurants etc that we found very useful. The hotel is also conveniently located next to several banks, eating places, supermarkets and Langkawi’s Kuah night market that occurs on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We had an ocean view room that gave us a view of the ocean and pool. Our queen room was spacious and so was the bathroom, which included both a shower and bathtub. The rooms were decently clean though I would say the focus was more on certain items or areas and not the whole room. Still, it wouldn’t hold us back from visiting again. First time here staying in this resort with my family, we had an enjoyable and wonderful moment. The service was great, all staff are good in manners and friendly. Cleanliness of the hotel and room was awesome. Buggy service was fast and efficient, they brought us for a hotel tour too. Buffet breakfast has alot of choices. The beach is very clean, and the swimming pool is nice and big. Everything was great. Definitely will be back again next time! Will recommend to friends and relatives around us! :)From$122

The hotel is very nice, and we enjoyed our stay. There are two restaurants: one on the beach, offering more Western-style cuisine and alcohol, and another near the lobby that is more Asian and Muslim-friendly. For the beach restaurant, you need to book a table if you want to eat outside during the weekend. The breakfast was very good.
There is an amazing kids' room with all sorts of toys where the children can safely play. Just next to it, there is a small zoo with many animals. We had a ground-floor room by the pool, which was very convenient as you can go for a swim anytime, walking out from your balcony. The bar inside the pool was nice, and the prices were reasonable.
One complaint is that the check-in was very long, taking a bit more than an hour even though we arrived after 3 pm.From$167

We were told family room was unavailable upon check in and offered suite with 2 rollaway beds. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. We did not want our kids to spend a single night on these so requested for a room change to family room as booked which was available later that evening (questionable really). The housekeeping guy couldn't wait to pack his bed whilst we were busy packing our things to move and he insisted on taking away 2 mineral water bottles. Lucky we insisted on the change as family room was so much bigger and the single beds comfier.
Another big issue that everyone should know is the lack of hot water in the hotel. We were showering with mostly cold or very little warm water. Brought up the issue but nothing much was done about the no hot water issue.From$27

Great holiday with my family. My 3 year old loved the kids pool and the kids corner. My husband loved the outdoor balcony and the kitchen area. The room is spacious and clean. The hotel is located distanced from tourist hot spot, it takes about 25 mins to go any where e.g. Pantai Cenang, cable car, airport. The breakfast selection is good and have many choices. Overall it was an enjoyable and memorable holiday, would definitely come back here again next time.From$46

A very nice stay at the Four Season Resort Langkawi. The facility a bit old but very well maintained. When we arrived, the floor was stained but the house cleaning team promptly arrived to clean the place upon making a call to them. Overall very efficient service and friendly and helpful staffs.
The only thing to comment was some guests were rather couldn't care less and inconsiderate attitude by taking away the bicycles which were already allocated to particular rooms / guests which was parked at the breakfast restaurant.The bicycles are free to 'rent' from the gym. A few of the guests, including myself have to go report the bicycles being ”stolen”. Was told it wasn't the first time the culprits had done that.
Aside from the little unpleasant experience, the view was great, quite a good amount of complimentary activities to spend time in the resort.SOLD OUT

Stayed here just 1 night for my birthday staycation.I really enjoyed my stay. Hotel is well located in Pantai Tengah Beach and just within 15 minutes drive away from Langkawi International Airport and minutes away from Cenang Beach or Cenang Mall. Dash Resort Langkawi is a beautiful and Instagram worthy hotel located in Langkawi. Love the hotel feels cosy,vibrant and relaxing atmosphere just next to the private beach. The pool bar is a great experience with live music and enjoy stunning sunset views. The staffs were all friendly and polite. Thank you so much for the hospitality service! I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. Overall everything great but breakfast needs more improvement. This is a very beautiful beach side resort nearby a small town with some local delicious food options.
Rooms are very spacious and have great comfort. Luckily we got the room with the large balcony as featured in the picture I also checked out their St Regis Suite but I prefer the standard seaview room. The Standard Room has direct and unobstructed seaview whereas the St Regis Suites have only partial seaview and feel smaller due to the separate living room and bedroom.
Service was very friendly and extremely helpful eventhough sometimes lack professionalism. Anyhow I prefer it this way as it becomes more casual and genuine.
I have also checked out other resorts on the island but I would definitely come back to this one again. Highly recommend to visit!From$344

This resort is quiet and perfect for those who look for a moment of peace and relax, , the big garden, the sunset view and the sound of birds are all pur moment of relaxation…no seining in the beach it’s full of mud…the swimming pool is good but it didn’t like the fact that some guests swim with their clothes even the pool rules are not allowing that. Breakfast is variant and good…stuff are nice and friendly…service is good…rooms are spacious and clean…you have nothing around but the service rice of food in pool restaurant are not expensive..you can eat a very big seafood pizza with only 37 RM.From$88

Large rooms with a huge private beach! The sunsets are stunning!
The service was great, although the rooms are a little dated. The only small fault would be the water pressure in the bathroom. The shower’s pressure fluctuates and is generally very weak. After informing the front desk they sent and engineer to the room, which they temporarily fixed, but after about 5 minutes, the pressure went down again.
On a side note, they had a spa BOGOF deal, however they only had one masseuse, and you had to book them at least a day before. So even if you want a couples massage, it was not able to be accommodated.From$106

The hotel room just nice for my stay. Its very clean and comfortable. The receptionist also very friendly and willing to help.
My friend had left his ‘loket’, the hotel staff willing to help us to find the things and keep for him to take back.

Relaxing, clean, beautiful and peaceful place, provided if the visitors are following the house rules ie: loud noise, speakers, party drinks, food & beverages at the pool. We did found a beer bottle cap in the adult pool, meaning there is/are visitors who didn't care about the house rules, who should stay somewhere else. We stayed 3D2N in a superior triple room. Room & bathroom are clean. Complete with toiletries, towels, kettle, coffee, cups, hairdryer, tv, mini fridge. In the exterior; swings and pondoks with hammock in each of them. Clean, good-sized pools for adult and kids (with floats and balls for them to play). Had a chance to meet with its kind and friendly owner and housekeeper. When booking the hotel, I asked the hotel to simply decorate the room and provide a piece of cake during dinner. Obviously, the hotel didn't read the note. We arrived early at the hotel and the weather was awful (raining).We we’re extremely tired and we had to wait for the rain to finish in order to be able to go out for a walk. The staff at the reception were excellent.I have been travelling a lot and I have been using Mercure often but I have never met such an amazing and professional customer service.The check in time was at 15:00 and the asked to wait in the lobby, they offered us a coffee and they managed to check us in at 11:00! Always with a great smile in their face.Ziela and Djarhul (apologies if I do not pronounce it correctly) and also the gentleman at the reception who brought our luggage in the room were so nice.Congatulations to Accor hotels (Mercure) for their excellent staff. We have visited and reviewed The Datai many times and the fact that we continue to come back year after year despite the very long journey speaks volumes. The setting is stunning and the staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were happy to chill out and relax surrounded by nature. We have visited many super properties in other countries and enjoyed them very much but The Datai ticks all the boxes for us and feels like our idea of paradise! Over the years we have stayed in most room categories and they are all great but our favourite is a Rainforest Pool Villa. Relaxing in the pool watching the monkeys, birds and butterflies whilst listening to the sounds of the forest and the stream is just sublime. We visited in April and were prepared for rain as the dry season has ended but we had beautiful sunny weather for the vast majority of our 10 day stay. We had 3 days with rain in the late afternoon/early evening but these passed quickly. At this time of the year a lot of flowers are in bloom and many trees are in fruit thus attracting more wildlife. We thoroughly recommend the Spa and enjoyed massages during one of the rain showers which added to the relaxation! The Datai is the most eco friendly hotel we have ever been to and a visit to ‘The Lab’ is well worthwhile and educational as well as fun! We also ‘learned how to be naturalists’ at the Nature Centre and placed hidden cameras in the forest to help monitor the behaviour of the wildlife. This was a fascinating experience and well worth doing! There are many other things to enjoy but we just stuck to our lovely pool and ventured out mainly to eat. We didn’t even go to the beautiful beach at all! The food was great everywhere we ate and if the hotel is busy the Beach Club is a great, peaceful alternative for breakfast although it is just ‘a la carte’ with no buffet option. As every year some old friends amongst the staff have left and we miss them, but new stars always emerge! Thanks to everyone but we must mention Yoon, Azmir, Edy, Gunawan, Shaiful, Izzie, Amelia, Wendy and the legendary Sivagaran!From$336

A note to all the VIEWERS considering staying in a hotel for the foreseeable. Please be kind to the team members that you encounter during your stay! 🙏🏻 Due to disappearance of income for months, the hotel you are staying in probably cannot afford to bring many team members back from furlough. If you are asked to wait in the bar, with a complimentary drink when you arrive at the hotel because your room is not quite ready. Sit patiently in the bar, and please be assured the team are working as quickly as they can. Imagine if you had to clean 20+ bedrooms yourself and think how long it would take you and how you would be feeling after room number 10! 😩 Don’t be surprised if the receptionist, waiter, housekeeper that you come across, does not actually have that role in their job title. With limited staffing, the hotel becomes 1 team! So if the waiter isn’t familiar with what beers are on offer and has to check, don't sigh and roll your eyes! Say thank you...they are probably the HR Manager! 🙋🏼♀️ Your room may not be cleaned everyday, as they have a duty to protect the team and as you should all well know, the virus can survive on surfaces and in the air. So why would they want to send our team into a dangerous environment just so you can have your bed sheets tucked in! They can of course offer you a top up of any guest supplies! In fact, you can have as many tea bags and loo rolls as you like!!! And yes, you have single use cups in your room, because no, they don’t have time to run 400+ cups and mugs through the dishwasher on a daily basis. 🤔🤔😫😒 When you decide to dine in the hotel, the menu may be limited. Please consider that there is likely to only be 1 chef in the kitchen, on his own, running the whole operation...yes that includes washing up too! They are grateful you chose to dine with them, but please be considerate and don’t complain because there isn’t enough options on the menu and you wanted steak! 🥗🥣🌮🥪🍲🥘🌭 I am sure the rate you are paying for your room may be a considerable amount of money to you. But, be rest assured they are considerably cheaper than what you would usually pay. So please do not ask for a discount because the leisure facilities are closed. As above, the industry is already struggling for income without having to process refunds because you weren't impressed with sausage you had at breakfast because it tasted too piggy! 🐷👏🏻👏🏻 And lastly, it is highly likely the hotel is going through a redundancy and restructure process right now. It is a very sad time for the hospitality industry. So please be kind, it is a very stressful and upsetting time for the team. It added a very nice personal touch and made us feel special, rather than just being one of a number of guests. The hotel is located at the end of Cenang Beach. Although it is not on the main road, it only takes 5 minutes to walk to the beach. It is very quiet. Most of the people staying in are foreigners. The hotels are townhouses with small tables and chairs outside. The hotel’s own swimming pool is very clean and suitable for children to play. Wake up in the morning, the child accidentally discovered the little squirrel on the coconut tree. He was very excited. The only drawback is that the hotel does not provide breakfast, and there is no shop nearby for breakfast. The hotel is within a 5-minute walk of the famous Zhuofeng Seafood, Zhonghua Tower, and Zhenlang Ice Cream. There is a big life supermarket next to the Zhonghua Tower, where you can buy bread and instant noodles. The lobby was dark and musky, as were the corridors. From outside, it looks like an abandoned building. I didn't feel very safe in the building. The room was old and dated. The furnishing seems to be from the 90s. While the room was big and spacious, the aircon only cooled down half the room and the other half was felt warm and stuff. The bedsheet was stained and spotted and we found some hair as well. For some weird reason, the windows are tinted so even though we had a good view of the street below, it was still very dark in the room. There are definitely other better and newer hotels / rooms on Cenang beach.

Order took too long to arrive. I specifically ordered a glass of mocktail and a chicken chop. Drink arrived after about 15 mins (acceptable) but the food did not arrive despite waiting for almost an hour. Since I had another plan to attend to, I called the waiter for my bill. Suddenly my chicken chop was said to be ready, and the bistro lady asked if I wanted to have it packed or dined there. Of course I asked her cancel my chicken chop. Guess what, it’s charged considering it’s cooked when I was about to leave. Funny right? I dont want a refund, but I hope the bistro learns the proper way on how to professionally manage an F&B business.

Rooms are very spacious and have great comfort. Luckily we got the room with the large balcony as featured in the picture I also checked out their St Regis Suite but I prefer the standard seaview room. The Standard Room has direct and unobstructed seaview whereas the St Regis Suites have only partial seaview and feel smaller due to the separate living room and bedroom.
Service was very friendly and extremely helpful eventhough sometimes lack professionalism. Anyhow I prefer it this way as it becomes more casual and genuine.
I have also checked out other resorts on the island but I would definitely come back to this one again. Highly recommend to visit!

But Tisha is nothing like that.. u will feel like your are well welcome and the surrounding (in a kampung area) is absolute contrast from Chenang and I love it. The room is standard and clean but with good shower.. but they have fridge, ironing board (maybe tudong girls always request? IDK) and even a toaster/griller? cute! and i was lucky to be given room near the pool cos it made me feel like i have a private pool hahaha. but i x feel like swimming cos I don't think they service the water often. Or they do? IDK but i love the greenery around the area as they are well maintained. Free good local breakfast that i well presented . My only wish was they have rental bicycle service as I was lazy to walk around to go to Chenang beach or nearby nite market. Overall, highly recommended but not for fussy travelers.

Large rooms with a huge private beach! The sunsets are stunning!
The service was great, although the rooms are a little dated. The only small fault would be the water pressure in the bathroom. The shower’s pressure fluctuates and is generally very weak. After informing the front desk they sent and engineer to the room, which they temporarily fixed, but after about 5 minutes, the pressure went down again.
On a side note, they had a spa BOGOF deal, however they only had one masseuse, and you had to book them at least a day before. So even if you want a couples massage, it was not able to be accommodated.

The hotel is located distanced from tourist hot spot, it takes about 25 mins to go any where e.g. Pantai Cenang, cable car, airport. The breakfast selection is good and have many choices. Overall it was an enjoyable and memorable holiday, would definitely come back here again next time.

There are two restaurants: one on the beach, offering more Western-style cuisine and alcohol, and another near the lobby that is more Asian and Muslim-friendly. For the beach restaurant, you need to book a table if you want to eat outside during the weekend. The breakfast was very good.
There is an amazing kids' room with all sorts of toys where the children can safely play. Just next to it, there is a small zoo with many animals. We had a ground-floor room by the pool, which was very convenient as you can go for a swim anytime, walking out from your balcony. The bar inside the pool was nice, and the prices were reasonable.
One complaint is that the check-in was very long, taking a bit more than an hour even though we arrived after 3 pm.

Cleanliness of the hotel and room was awesome. Buggy service was fast and efficient, they brought us for a hotel tour too. Buffet breakfast has alot of choices. The beach is very clean, and the swimming pool is nice and big. Everything was great. Definitely will be back again next time! Will recommend to friends and relatives around us! :)

We arrived early on the day we checked in, and the room was not cleaned after the registration. The hotel offered to let us have a buffet breakfast, which was very considerate. The staff in the hotel are always smiling, and the cats who walk in the hotel are very warm. The hotel's breakfast is a buffet with a la carte meals. Although there are not many types of buffets, I personally think it is enough. The most romantic is the beach dinner, where you can enjoy a delicious dinner while watching the sunset.

I need to walk a little far from the lobby but it's less noisy at night because it is far from the cruise jetty and the bar at centre court, more privacy. The view is great, the nights full of stars in November you can bring your own telescope. The restaurant is closed after 6pm and only has one bar open. Non halal, it also served alcohol. Have a game room to play dart, pool, foosball, and watch EPL. Buffet bbq and cruise dinner available nearby the jetty. Got an infinity pool and also a large children's pool. Good for family and group stay. It has free shuttle service to Cenang Mall. I suggest spending the evening at Cenang Beach, having dinner there and taking a grab around MYR 7-10 to get back to the Resort. Nightlife is happening more at Cenang Beach, but this resort is more private. You can get a cheaper Island Hopping Package (can buy online) at 9am-1pm at the nearby jetty too. Room amenities include a safe box (mine was out of battery that time), iron and iron board, hairdryer, mini bar, electric kettle, towel, toiletries and no bathrobe.

|16.41km from city centerWe have visited and reviewed The Datai many times and the fact that we continue to come back year after year despite the very long journey speaks volumes. The setting is stunning and the staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were happy to chill out and relax surrounded by nature. We have visited many super properties in other countries and enjoyed them very much but The Datai ticks all the boxes for us and feels like our idea of paradise! Over the years we have stayed in most room categories and they are all great but our favourite is a Rainforest Pool Villa. Relaxing in the pool watching the monkeys, birds and butterflies whilst listening to the sounds of the forest and the stream is just sublime. We visited in April and were prepared for rain as the dry season has ended but we had beautiful sunny weather for the vast majority of our 10 day stay. We had 3 days with rain in the late afternoon/early evening but these passed quickly. At this time of the year a lot of flowers are in bloom and many trees are in fruit thus attracting more wildlife. We thoroughly recommend the Spa and enjoyed massages during one of the rain showers which added to the relaxation! The Datai is the most eco friendly hotel we have ever been to and a visit to ‘The Lab’ is well worthwhile and educational as well as fun! We also ‘learned how to be naturalists’ at the Nature Centre and placed hidden cameras in the forest to help monitor the behaviour of the wildlife. This was a fascinating experience and well worth doing! There are many other things to enjoy but we just stuck to our lovely pool and ventured out mainly to eat. We didn’t even go to the beautiful beach at all! The food was great everywhere we ate and if the hotel is busy the Beach Club is a great, peaceful alternative for breakfast although it is just ‘a la carte’ with no buffet option. As every year some old friends amongst the staff have left and we miss them, but new stars always emerge! Thanks to everyone but we must mention Yoon, Azmir, Edy, Gunawan, Shaiful, Izzie, Amelia, Wendy and the legendary Sivagaran!

|10.75km from city centerA very nice stay at the Four Season Resort Langkawi. The facility a bit old but very well maintained. When we arrived, the floor was stained but the house cleaning team promptly arrived to clean the place upon making a call to them. Overall very efficient service and friendly and helpful staffs.
The only thing to comment was some guests were rather couldn't care less and inconsiderate attitude by taking away the bicycles which were already allocated to particular rooms / guests which was parked at the breakfast restaurant.The bicycles are free to 'rent' from the gym. A few of the guests, including myself have to go report the bicycles being ”stolen”. Was told it wasn't the first time the culprits had done that.
Aside from the little unpleasant experience, the view was great, quite a good amount of complimentary activities to spend time in the resort.

The room is spacious although many of the furniture looks a little old. Towels and toiletries provided. Book a room for 2 nights with breakfast. |7.88km from city centerI was here during LIMA 2023. Near to airport. Save time and transport cost by walking to exhibition hall. The best stay ever! The environment was pleasant and welcoming. Both check in and out were professionally handled and easy. I loved the Wings Afternoon Tea at the Wings Lounge& Jazz. It's really cosy and relaxing after spending hours in LIMA hall. I can even watch spectacular scene's of flights cruising through the viewing deck. And of course I enjoyed the most my drinks by the pool bar. I would definitely recommend this luxury resort in Langkawi to my family and friends in USA.

|9.51km from city centerWe spent 7 days there. To understand why this place is so convenient it is necessary to understand Langkawi specifics. Few truths about Langkawi: 1. All beaches even most photographic are not suitable for swimming due to not transparent and often stinky water. About few exceptions later. 2. Without own transportation you are not able to see most of interesting places. No public transportation. Rent a car or scooter for 60 rm or 30 per day (respectively). We had rented automatic gear small car for 7 days near the Villa. Langkawi is a small island but not for walking or cycling (no respect for racers). Knowing these facts it doesn’t matter so much where you live! The Villa Abadi is a reasonable choice. Price to facilities ratio is really good. Clean swimming pool with probably too warm water gives refreshment and swimming is possible (10 m long). Rooms rather small but clean and carefully designed. Staff is helpful and friendly. Parking lot wide enough. Breakfast is limited but not boring. Few recommendations: 1. SkyCab - go up for stunning view 80 rm - 6 km from the hotel 2. Seven Wells waterfalls - free but parking costs 2 rm, worth the effort to go up to the top waterfall which is relaxing place with cooling natural pools. 7 km from the hotel 3. Pantai Chenang Beach - lively place with main promenade along Main Street. Restaurants, shops, vacation atmosphere. Good parking for cars on the backyard of Chenang Mall - 16 km from the hotel 4. Jetty ferry port with park and giant eagle statue - 22 km from the hotel 5. Galleria Perdana - a bit odd but impressive museum kind. One of Malaysian Prime Ministers has collected 9000 gifts from different people worldwide. 3000 of them are here. Building itself is worth to see, in fact 3 different buildings. 10 rm. around 20 km from the hotel. 6. Temurun waterfall on the north side of the island - free entry and impressive rock. The highest waterfall on Langkawi. 7. Beaches - as said before, many of them are spectacular however not suitable to swimming. Relatively clean are beaches on the north- east end. Expensive dream beds - 50 rm for pair with parasol. Probably similar or even better are beaches on north-west but are part of private properties. Black Sand beach is rather boring - also on the northern shore. Summary - good choice if you are not too fussy.

|11.01km from city centerBooked the junior suite (with 2 rooms and a small living room) as we travelled with 2 kids. The room was located at upper unit. The staff was very helpful to carry the luggages up. The room was overall Ok, though some refurbishment seems very much needed. It is clean and tidy anyway, air-cond working well, the pillows are very comfortable. But then we had this problem with the unit we stayed in (6201). That less than every single minute there was noise of the water pump/machine. It was quite irritating and my wife had problem sleeping at night. On the final night, we complained to the staff who was understand and kind enough to switch us to 2 separate room at ground level which were available. There are free breakfast, good enough with 2-3 options everyday, like Nasi Lemak, fried rice, and fried noodles. There are bread, cakes too, along with an egg counter that servers omelette and scramble egg only. Free orange juice, coffee and tea are there too. The swimming pool was good, not very deep though I think only about 1m, just nice for small children.
