I recently had an incredible two-night stay at Resorts World Langkawi and the experience completely exceeded my expectations. The hospitality was outstanding right from the start because the security team at the private entrance made us feel incredibly safe. Every staff member we encountered was remarkably friendly and accommodating. Our sea view room was a major highlight with stunning views of the water directly from the balcony. The hotel dining is top-notch including a fantastic Indian-Pakistani and Middle Eastern restaurant that I highly recommend. We also spent time at the Salt Shack Bar enjoying their great menu of pizzas and steaks alongside very affordable beverages. The evenings there are truly special since an amazing live duo performs Tuesday through Sunday. Their music created a wonderful atmosphere and gave us a night to remember. The entire management team does an amazing job and we will absolutely return to Langkawi just for this hospitality.

Our stay had some genuine highlights, but unfortunately the inconsistent customer service left us disappointed, especially considering we stayed for 11 nights. The biggest highlight was the infinity pool by the Glass Bar & Restaurant. It was a wonderful place to relax, and being able to order food and drinks directly to the sun loungers made for some very enjoyable afternoons. The beachfront loungers were another great feature and perfect for spending time by the sea. The room was exactly as advertised, clean and comfortable, so we had no complaints there. Food was mixed. Breakfast was fairly mediocre with limited variety, although we enjoyed both lunch at the beachfront bar and dinner at the Glass Restaurant. The café was also disappointing as several of the pastries we tried were stale. Unfortunately, the customer service was where the hotel fell short. My husband and I were celebrating our first wedding anniversary, and before arriving I emailed the hotel twice to ask about arranging a romantic beachfront dinner package. Neither email has ever been answered. After checking in, I asked again and was told someone would get back to me. Once again, no one ever did. In the end, we gave up and booked our anniversary dinner at another resort. We also arranged a late checkout the day before departure and even had our room keys extended, only to receive a call from reception on checkout day telling us we had overstayed because they weren’t aware of the arrangement. Housekeeping was another issue. After being out for most of the day, we returned around 4:30 pm to find our room still hadn’t been serviced. A housekeeper knocked just before 5:00 pm asking to clean. We asked for five minutes so I could get changed, but she returned almost immediately saying she was leaving for the day and we needed to hurry. When my husband explained that I was changing, she looked at him and commented that he was already dressed, which felt quite inappropriate and uncomfortable. Breakfast service was also frustrating one morning. The restaurant was busy and there were many uncleared tables. When I explained to the hostess that there was nowhere for us to sit, she simply acknowledged us without offering any assistance until I asked what they were going to do about it. Throughout the stay, many interactions with staff felt rushed, as though guests were an inconvenience rather than welcomed. I’m not sure whether this was due to communication issues or simply inconsistent service, but after 11 nights it became increasingly frustrating. This hotel has excellent facilities, a lovely pool, and a beautiful beachfront location, but the service unfortunately didn’t match the setting. With more attentive and proactive customer service, it could have been a fantastic stay.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff provided excellent service and were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location is very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. The breakfast was simple but satisfactory, offering enough variety to start the day. We also appreciated having connecting rooms, which were perfect for traveling with family. However, it would be even better if both connecting rooms were equipped with showers instead of only one. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, and we would consider staying here again.

The hotel's photos online really don't do it justice. This place is amazing! The only minor drawback is the soundproofing in the wooden bungalows – but that's just the nature of wooden structures, so it's understandable. Otherwise, for a resort hotel, everything is absolutely perfect. The environmental design is excellent, the food is good, the staff are very professional, and the hotel gardens are beautiful. I regret not booking a longer stay and will definitely come back if I get the chance. The white sand beach is also stunning, and the sunsets are breathtaking.

The resort view is very beautiful, lots of nature around. Even though a shelly beach, the private beach is a big plus. Been visiting for 11 nights, if you need something (amenities, meal wise), just ask, the professional staff will deliver. Tide pool unfortunately was out of service, but renovations started before we left. Big swimming pool awesome, kids pool awesome! Just check sharp corners of broken tiles. Assume due to humid warm weather, mould on the outside of walls and doors is an issue, but still not nice to see that no effort was made to wipe it off throughout our 11 night stay. For all activities (mangrove forest tour, island hopping, cable car and the sky bridge etc), easy to organize via reception or private tour companies (do your homework, can get the experiences for cheaper). Breakfast very diverse and yummie! Kids playroom needs a thorough clean, lots of human hair lying around. Gym well set up with lots of equipment, reminder there is a jacuzzi and sauna free of charge to utilize. Overall thank you once again for all the professionalism from reception staff, room cleaning services, restaurant staff, buggy drivers, kids club staff and the regular checkins by staff like Justin for making our home away from home stay very enjoyable! Hope to return soon in the future!

I was a bit nervous checking in after reading some reviews, but it turned out to be much better than I expected! First off, I really liked the hotel's overall ambiance, especially the infinity pool and public areas – they were great. Here are the cons: 1. The front desk staff are all locals (they don't speak Chinese and weren't particularly friendly to Chinese guests). When I booked, I specifically requested a high floor, but I was assigned the second floor. To move to a higher floor, they wanted an extra 150 MYR per day. I had to get some Ctrip customer service agents to help negotiate, and Ctrip covered part of the cost, so I was moved to the 6th floor! There were very few Chinese guests in the entire hotel, mostly Caucasians and locals. 2. The hotel breakfast was truly awful, practically inedible. Luckily, there are good breakfast spots and drinks near the hotel. 3. The bath towels and bedding were quite poor (which seems to be a common issue in Malaysian hotels). I recommend bringing your own pillowcases, disposable towels, etc. 4. The hotel doesn't have a beach. Here are the pros: Eating in the Kuah town area is much cheaper, offering great value for money. There are also fewer tourists, so if you like peace and quiet, Kuah is the place to choose.

Adya Hotel Cenang is perfectly positioned right between Warisan Duty Free and Cenang Mall, and just across the road from Cenang beach—ideal for shopping and beach visits. Our room was very large, though quite sparsely furnished. Be aware that the hotel does not provide toothbrushes or toothpaste. Cleanliness, staff service and the breakfast spread were all decent, but nothing exceptional.

We were a little hesitant about booking here as reviews are not brilliant. However we went to Bella Vista and loved it. Not everything was perfect, breakfast was chaotic. No glasses for drinks, we had to ask.They ran out of fruit, we had to ask etc, etc. However…….! I went to reception and asked to speak to the manager. She listened and made notes. We then received a fruit platter in our room with a note of apology, the next day breakfast was brilliant! Ran like clockwork, food good. This service continued throughout our stay. The staff at Bella Vista will go out of their way to help you. They are friendly and respond quickly to any requests Don’t just moan, go and speak to someone, they are lovely people. Our room was spotlessly cleaned every day, loved it here!!!

This hotel, part of the Marriott brand, really doesn't live up to the Marriott name. A 4.6 rating is definitely misleading. The location is a bit out of the way, and the hotel facilities are incredibly old. The cleanliness is also seriously lacking; the bed linens and towels were discolored and stained. The photos of the small sofa and the back wall were taken after I wiped them with a wet wipe, and the stains were so ingrained they were hard to remove. I doubt the carpet has ever been properly cleaned. Plus, there were no small hand towels, just two bath towels. The breakfast was mostly Muslim-style. For a sea view room, you'd need to be on the fourth floor or above; below that, you mostly just see the building across the way (our room was on the fourth floor). At around 1300, the price is definitely too high. Compared to a Hanting Hotel, a Hanting would run circles around this place! However, the staff's service was quite good, and the balcony view was decent. But you can only sit on the balcony in the early morning and late evening, as the direct sunlight during the day makes it too hot – it's a BBQ-level burn out there.

The resort was very beautiful and peaceful. I saw many kinds of guests staying there such as couples, families and groups. Usually at night it was very quiet and everyone seemed to be respectful of each other, which made the stay very pleasant. It was especially nice to sit in the yard in the evening. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The receptionist was also very sweet and welcoming. However, there was one issue in our room. The washing basin kept dripping and even after we reported it, it could not be fixed during our stay. Because of that, we had to use the bathroom sink to brush our teeth and wash our face. Other than that, everything else was good. You can also see airplanes flying across the resort which was quite interesting. Overall, it is a nice place for family gatherings and team bonding.

The architecture is unique, and the rooms are spacious and well-equipped, though some minor details could be improved. Its location is a bit secluded, but it's not far from the airport and very close to Oriental Village and the Panorama Langkawi. There aren't many dining options around the hotel, but I tried all three main restaurants and highly recommend the Italian one. The breakfast buffet was a bit unremarkable, but the à la carte menu was fantastic. I highly recommend trying the pancakes, waffles, eggs Benedict, and Roti Canai from the à la carte. They also have a great selection of coffee; I recommend the Flat White and Latte! Oh, and don't forget to take a walk on the beach at night and look up at the incredible starry sky!

Overall, the hotel is pretty good, especially its location near Central Beach. There's a decent-sized shopping mall not far from the hotel with food, drinks, and reasonably priced goods. The outdoor pool within the hotel is also a big draw. Remember, you can get free towels from the fitness center—you just need to register. In the evenings, around 8 PM, there's a fire dance performance at Central Beach, about a ten-minute walk away. The water pressure in the room's bathroom was also good, much better than the previous place in Kuala Lumpur. My only minor complaints are the small flying insects in the room and the occasional mosquito, but in a tropical region, this is quite normal, so it's a good idea to prepare for mosquito control beforehand. The hotel breakfast was also good and quite substantial. For the price, it offers good value for money.

5/5 — A Truly Magical Stay in the Rainforest We had a wonderful and incredibly relaxing stay at The Datai Langkawi. From the moment we arrived, the service was absolutely top-notch. every staff member made us feel welcome, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. It was impressive (and touching) that many of them greeted us by name throughout our stay. The level of hospitality here is on another level. The room was perfect — beautifully designed, spacious, and surrounded by nature. Stepping out into the rainforest felt surreal, like being in a different world. During our stay, we spotted hornbills, macaques, and dusky leaf monkeys (also known as spectacled langurs) with their distinctive white “spectacles.” Such an incredible experience to be so close to wildlife in their natural habitat. The pool and beach were both fantastic, quiet and serene, with excellent service all around. The restaurants were excellent as well — consistently delicious food, whether breakfast or dinner, paired with attentive, warm service. Every moment felt effortless and peaceful. We loved our stay so much that we’ve decided to make The Datai our annual short getaway.

A Perfect Getaway From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was seamless, enhanced by refreshing cold towels and a delicious welcome drink. Our room was stunning (Encina), conveniently located on the ground floor with easy access to both the pool and the beach. The amenities were excellent—thoughtful touches like jars of roasted peanuts and cookies (which were replenished daily) made our stay even more enjoyable. We also loved the complimentary tea, coffee, and cookies available in the lounge throughout the day (though I don’t recall the exact schedule). The location was ideal, with plenty of shopping options just a short walk away. Now, onto the food—breakfast was a highlight! We tried a variety of dishes, including eggs, hot oatmeal, blueberry pancakes, whole wheat French toast, chicken wraps, and the standout quesadillas—absolutely delicious! What truly set Casa Del Mar apart, was the staff. They were consistently warm, friendly, and eager to assist, making us feel well taken care of throughout our stay. For outstanding service, hospitality, quality food, and a prime location, I highly recommend this hotel. It’s a gem!

This was our first time checking in, and the reception requested identification (IC) for all guests. The room we booked was for 2 pax, but we had 3 pax. Prior to arrival, we had already called to check whether an extra bed could be added, and we were informed that it was not possible. We accepted this information at that time. However, upon check-in, the receptionist informed us that we had to either pay an additional RM150 per night to stay in the same room, or book another room at an additional RM436 per night. We find these options unreasonable and not customer-friendly. We then requested to speak with the manager. Initially, the manager refused to meet us, but later came out after some time. We explained the situation in full however, the manager continued to insist on the resort’s policies. Eventually, the manager offered a complimentary room upgrade, but we were still required to pay RM150 per night. While we accepted the upgrade as a compromise, we are dissatisfied with how this situation was handled, particularly the lack of flexibility and the initial reluctance to address our concerns directly. In addition, despite not placing any sign requesting room cleaning, housekeeping entered our room without prior notice or permission. This is highly unprofessional and raises serious concerns regarding guest privacy and security.

Very pleasant seaside bungalows. The hotel has a large private area with its own beach. The decor is a bit tired, but the staff were very friendly, which compensated for this drawback. Breakfasts were quite varied, but nothing extravagant. Given that fresh fruit is hard to come by on the island, we really looked forward to breakfast. It's easy to get to any attraction by taxi. There's a jellyfish net in place.

This Hilton resort, newly opened in April '26, offers excellent value for money compared to the Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons on the island, at less than half the price! It's located near Oriental Village, a 20-minute taxi ride from the airport. Getting to Cenang Beach takes about half an hour by taxi from the hotel, but honestly, once you've seen Cenang, you probably won't want to leave the resort anyway. The hotel boasts a gorgeous beach-style swimming pool, and the private beach is also large, beautiful, and very clean! The pool is divided into a children's pool and a family pool. There are sun loungers both by the pool and on the beach. I felt like I spent half my time just lounging by the pool! There are three restaurants at the hotel. The breakfast restaurant, Ginger Fire, is on the ground floor. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but the ingredients are fresh and quite good! There's also an Italian restaurant and a Chinese restaurant. I tried the Italian place, which mainly served pizzas, risottos, and pasta. It wasn't particularly amazing, but not bad either. I didn't try the Chinese restaurant. The hotel gym is pretty good, with excellent equipment, even a Pilates reformer. I went every morning around 7 AM and it was practically empty. The hotel also offers some activities, like beach stretching at 7 AM (though the instructor seemed like some random guy, very unprofessional, more about setting a mood). I didn't join other activities, but it felt like most guests here just relaxed by the pool, doing their own thing. Since it's newly opened and hasn't been heavily promoted in China, we encountered very few Chinese tourists, which probably explains why the prices haven't been inflated yet. The transportation here isn't the most convenient, but honestly, the main beach area in Langkawi or Kuah Town can be quite dirty and run-down. So, being a bit secluded with fewer people and beautiful scenery is actually quite nice! The hotel is new, and there are plenty of staff who are generally friendly, but some service details still need improvement. For example, there's no non-slip mat in the bathroom, and the front desk sometimes messes up booking information (e.g., they told me my booking was for two people when I had paid for three breakfasts, and I had to show them my confirmation!). Regarding bookings: I received two different responses via email about children staying at the hotel! One email said that for a 13-year-old child, it would be an additional 150 MYR (including an extra bed and breakfast, and the price was the same even without an extra bed). Another email replied that a 13-year-old child could stay for free, only needing to pay for the child's breakfast. In the end, I booked through a travel platform, directly reserving for three people with breakfast but no extra bed. The location is fantastic! Right next to the yacht marina, making it super convenient for sunset cruises – you just head downstairs and then straight back to the hotel to relax. Downstairs, there are shops, Japanese restaurants, cafes, and Malaysian food options. The room is spacious; our family room had two large queen-sized beds, and the decor is simple. Toiletries and disposable slippers are provided. The service was also excellent; my requests for a power adapter and late check-out were both easily accommodated. There are two things to note: you need to turn on a switch near the bathroom entrance for hot water when showering. My parents didn't realize this and ended up with cold showers, which I only discovered later. The breakfast view is unbeatable, overlooking the yacht marina, but the food selection is very limited. When we went down at 9:30 AM, there were only two tables of guests, including us. I'm not sure if it's because it's the off-season, but the breakfast left me a little disappointed with the Ramada brand.

A small but lovely villa hotel. It's a bit far from Cenang Beach, but they offer a free shuttle service to and from the beach, which is very convenient. The breakfast spread is fantastic, and the floating breakfast is a real highlight – just make sure to book it in advance! Rooms have direct access to the public pool, and the suites even come with private pools. Overall, I'm very satisfied. Five stars!

Perfect villa! The best in Langkawi. Great private pool, you feel so secluded. Inside, it smells lovely. There are coffee capsules for the machine, and the daily cleaning is excellent. The bedding feels brand new and is spotless. Good breakfast, and they treat you to a delicious dessert and welcome drink upon check-in. They even gave us a little gift when we checked out. It's a 7-minute walk to a nice beach and only 3 minutes to duty-free shops and cafes.

Thank you, we really enjoyed it. It's cozy and clean. The girl at reception is great. She helped us book tickets to Koh Lipe and the suspension bridge. The beach is a 5-minute walk across the road, with a cafe and a shop on the way. The grocery store is a short 5-minute walk away.

A truly cozy, home-away-from-home hotel! The location is superb, with plenty of cafes, restaurants, and a night market nearby! There's also convenient parking for your car! The hotel staff are incredibly sweet, helpful, beautiful, smiley, and pleasant!!! A huge thank you to them for a wonderful stay!!! They know all the guests and their preferences!!! For breakfast, they even showed live broadcasts of FIFA 2026, which added a special touch to the mornings!!! The breakfasts are diverse (and I have something to compare it to, as we stayed in a 5-star hotel on Langkawi where the breakfasts were much worse than in this modest hotel). Hot waffles and pastries, delicious coffee, plenty of meat, vegetables, and fruits. The room is small but convenient and cozy! It has everything you need and even more – free snacks and chips :)) Extremely convenient location! Conclusion: I highly recommend it, because if I ever return to the island, it will only be to this hotel.

The hotel's photos online really don't do it justice. This place is amazing! The only minor drawback is the soundproofing in the wooden bungalows – but that's just the nature of wooden structures, so it's understandable. Otherwise, for a resort hotel, everything is absolutely perfect. The environmental design is excellent, the food is good, the staff are very professional, and the hotel gardens are beautiful. I regret not booking a longer stay and will definitely come back if I get the chance. The white sand beach is also stunning, and the sunsets are breathtaking.

I recently had an amazing stay at Telaga Village Resort in Pantai Cenang, Langkawi, and I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations! The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of Cenang, just a short walk to the beach, shops, restaurants, and duty-free stores. Everything you need is literally within walking distance, which made the whole trip super convenient and enjoyable. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained with all the basic amenities provided. I really appreciated how cozy and relaxing it felt after a long day of exploring the island. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. What I loved most was the overall vibe—very lively yet still comfortable for a relaxing stay. I was impressed with the hotel. Although it's a bit older, it's clean and spacious, right on the beach with beautiful views and a great atmosphere. It's close to a public park and the pier. The price was affordable, the room was big, and it had all the amenities, including ironing facilities. It's not far from restaurants, and there's a 7-Eleven nearby. Everything is within walking distance. I was very pleased.

We booked standard twin room.  The  bed in room really small, if you turn your body side way, you will fall on to the floor.  It would be useful information if the bed size specify in the room description. Never trust what you see as posted.  Bed look big but actual size super small.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff provided excellent service and were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location is very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. The breakfast was simple but satisfactory, offering enough variety to start the day. We also appreciated having connecting rooms, which were perfect for traveling with family. However, it would be even better if both connecting rooms were equipped with showers instead of only one. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, and we would consider staying here again.

Our stay had some genuine highlights, but unfortunately the inconsistent customer service left us disappointed, especially considering we stayed for 11 nights. The biggest highlight was the infinity pool by the Glass Bar & Restaurant. It was a wonderful place to relax, and being able to order food and drinks directly to the sun loungers made for some very enjoyable afternoons. The beachfront loungers were another great feature and perfect for spending time by the sea. The room was exactly as advertised, clean and comfortable, so we had no complaints there. Food was mixed. Breakfast was fairly mediocre with limited variety, although we enjoyed both lunch at the beachfront bar and dinner at the Glass Restaurant. The café was also disappointing as several of the pastries we tried were stale. Unfortunately, the customer service was where the hotel fell short. My husband and I were celebrating our first wedding anniversary, and before arriving I emailed the hotel twice to ask about arranging a romantic beachfront dinner package. Neither email has ever been answered. After checking in, I asked again and was told someone would get back to me. Once again, no one ever did. In the end, we gave up and booked our anniversary dinner at another resort. We also arranged a late checkout the day before departure and even had our room keys extended, only to receive a call from reception on checkout day telling us we had overstayed because they weren’t aware of the arrangement. Housekeeping was another issue. After being out for most of the day, we returned around 4:30 pm to find our room still hadn’t been serviced. A housekeeper knocked just before 5:00 pm asking to clean. We asked for five minutes so I could get changed, but she returned almost immediately saying she was leaving for the day and we needed to hurry. When my husband explained that I was changing, she looked at him and commented that he was already dressed, which felt quite inappropriate and uncomfortable. Breakfast service was also frustrating one morning. The restaurant was busy and there were many uncleared tables. When I explained to the hostess that there was nowhere for us to sit, she simply acknowledged us without offering any assistance until I asked what they were going to do about it. Throughout the stay, many interactions with staff felt rushed, as though guests were an inconvenience rather than welcomed. I’m not sure whether this was due to communication issues or simply inconsistent service, but after 11 nights it became increasingly frustrating. This hotel has excellent facilities, a lovely pool, and a beautiful beachfront location, but the service unfortunately didn’t match the setting. With more attentive and proactive customer service, it could have been a fantastic stay.

The hospitality was outstanding right from the start because the security team at the private entrance made us feel incredibly safe. Every staff member we encountered was remarkably friendly and accommodating. Our sea view room was a major highlight with stunning views of the water directly from the balcony. The hotel dining is top-notch including a fantastic Indian-Pakistani and Middle Eastern restaurant that I highly recommend. We also spent time at the Salt Shack Bar enjoying their great menu of pizzas and steaks alongside very affordable beverages. The evenings there are truly special since an amazing live duo performs Tuesday through Sunday. Their music created a wonderful atmosphere and gave us a night to remember. The entire management team does an amazing job and we will absolutely return to Langkawi just for this hospitality.
