The hotel surpassed all my expectations! The staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating from the moment we checked in. Our room was spotlessly clean, the bed was remarkably comfortable, and we truly appreciated the splendid view / quiet atmosphere]. I will certainly book this hotel again! We also had a good time celebrating my husband’s birthday 🥳☺️

The breakfast buffet was excellent! The water pressure in the shower was a bit weak, but the sink faucet had strong pressure. Overall, I had a comfortable stay. It would have been even better if there had been a shelf for shampoo and other toiletries in the shower.

The room was decent, and the bed was incredibly soft, a real 'white-people bed' as they say, with excellent blackout curtains perfect for sleeping. We booked a one-bedroom suite, and the staff thoughtfully added an extra bed for us. The only downside was the somewhat chaotic front desk management. When we checked in, they told us the suite we booked was unavailable, claiming it was double-booked and offering us a standard room instead. It was the first time I'd heard of being downgraded because a room wasn't available! 😂 After I showed them our confirmation, they fiddled around a bit and eventually 'found' a suite for us. However, our booking included breakfast, and after the room change, we couldn't access the breakfast area the next day. We had to go back to the front desk to explain the situation again, and they finally gave us a card. On the second morning of our stay, we again couldn't get breakfast and spent another half an hour sorting it out. It was quite a hassle, making me feel like the money spent wasn't really worth it. Throughout the whole process, there was no mention of compensation; they just fixed the immediate problem. In previous hotels, when there was an issue, they usually provided a better experience after resolving it. As for the restaurant teacups, honestly, they weren't clean; many had coffee stains.

My stay at Brady Hotel Central Melbourne was absolutely fantastic! The biggest highlight has to be its superb location – incredibly close to the subway entrance, making it super easy to get around. For foodies like me, it was even better: the hotel is surrounded by all sorts of restaurants and eateries. There's so much variety, and you don't even have to go far to find great food. The room itself was very comfortable, and the overall facilities and service were top-notch. It's rare to find a hotel in Melbourne with such convenient transport links and amazing food options nearby. It offers excellent value for money, and I highly recommend it!

We recently stayed at Novotel Melbourne on Little Collins, and overall had a comfortable and convenient experience. The biggest highlight is definitely the excellent location in the heart of Melbourne CBD. It’s very easy to get around, with plenty of shopping, dining, and attractions within walking distance. We arrived earlier than check-in time, and the staff kindly allowed us to store our luggage, which made things much easier. We were also offered a discounted breakfast option during check-in, which was a nice touch. The gym facilities were well-maintained, and we enjoyed using them during our stay. The room was a bit more compact compared to other hotels we stayed at during this trip, but still clean and functional. Although we had requested a higher floor, we were assigned a lower-level room, which currently faces some construction. One thing to note is that the lift system can be slightly inconvenient, as the reception is on Level 3 and requires a transfer between lifts. There were also a few instances where the lift didn’t respond as expected. Additionally, there isn’t a self-service laundry facility available. Overall, despite a few minor inconveniences, we enjoyed our stay—especially because of the prime location and helpful service.

Not a bad stay at this hotel, which was conveniently located near Myers and the walking street. Its a good no frill hotel with a friendly help desk. The only issue we had was finding a place for our car for parking nearby. We could only parking at Docklands as it had cheaper daily rates. The views of the Yarra river and the public library were amazing!

Need to check in on the 2nd floor. Location: It's on a very narrow street with a small sign, but it's close to Chinatown which is quite convenient. Downstairs, there's a Chinese noodle restaurant that accepts WeChat Pay, and also a cafe. Cleanliness: Overall, it's quite new. There are no toothbrushes or slippers, and the room isn't big, but it's fine for one person. It's cleaned daily. The sink, toilet, and shower are all separate. There's a kettle, but no bottled water; you need to go to the 2nd floor to get water. I stayed on the 24th floor, the elevator is fast, and the night view from the window is nice.

One of the not-so-great hotels I have stayed in (And I travel a lot!) - Staff is the only good thing I found in this hotel- Always smiling & willing to help, right from staff in housekeeping to reception. - Located right in the heart of Melbourne city center, but surrounded by buildings on 3 sides. Just 2 top end rooms on every floor that get a street view. All others either have a wall facing them, or a tin roof of a lower building. Felt quite claustrophobic. - Minimal amenities: No laundry service in the hotel (Only dry cleaning), no water in the room (Get it from a tap in the floor - I got locked out twice because I forgot my key in the room), not even a wire to hang/dry something in the bathroom. Definitely not meant for someone who wants basic amenities - not for business travellers for sure.

Our family of three stayed for one night. First, upon check-in, our room wasn't ready because cleaning was still in progress. We waited in the lounge where we were offered snacks and drinks. It took about 30 minutes, and as an apology, we received two bar vouchers. So far, so good. However, the next morning at 9:30 AM, a cleaning staff member came to our room to ask when we would be checking out. Check-out was at 11 AM, so I don't understand why they needed to come to the room to prompt us to leave. Then, 15 minutes before check-out, someone came to the room again, saying there was an apology gift (bottled beer and Coca-Cola, which were inconvenient to carry). We also received a call from reception. Our relaxing morning was completely ruined. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful stay.

For my 21-day trip to Australia, I stayed in 11 hotels across Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. Here's my ranking of the best to worst experiences (with value for money considered): 1. Capella Sydney (low value for money) 2. Park Hyatt Melbourne (high value for money) 3. InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto (medium value for money) 4. Crown Towers Melbourne (high value for money) 5. Le Méridien Melbourne (medium value for money) 6. Hilton Adelaide (medium value for money) 7. The Langham Melbourne (low value for money) 8. Citadines on Bourke Melbourne (best value for money) 9. Meriton Suites Waterloo, Sydney (high value for money) 10. Best Western Plus Travel Inn Hotel Melbourne (low value for money) 11. The Hotel Windsor Melbourne (worst value for money) Now, let's talk about the InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto. Like The Windsor, it's a heritage hotel, and its beauty is undeniable. It truly looks like a 19th-century Neo-Gothic Venetian castle! Located in the heart of Collins Street, it's one of InterContinental's most luxurious heritage hotels worldwide. When you stay here, you can't help but spend time exploring, as both the exterior and interior decor are magnificent, and the room facilities are top-notch. It's definitely worth a stay.

I stayed at the Park Hyatt Melbourne for three nights and had an absolutely perfect luxury experience. The hotel's location is excellent, within walking distance to many shopping areas and attractions, making getting around incredibly convenient. The front desk staff were professional and friendly, handling check-in quickly and even thoughtfully recommending city tour routes. The room design was minimalist yet high-end, with large floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of Melbourne. The room had superb natural light, the bedding was soft and comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, and premium toiletries were well-stocked. The hotel breakfast offered a rich variety of fresh and delicious options. The fitness area was well-equipped, allowing me to maintain my workout routine even while traveling. Overall, the atmosphere was quiet and elegant, and the service was meticulous. It's perfectly suited for both couples on vacation and business travelers. I had a great stay at Bounce Melbourne. The location is incredibly convenient—just right in front of Flinders Station, making it very easy to get around the city. It’s also close to major attractions like Federation Square, the Royal Botanic Gardens, and the Shrine of Remembrance, all of which are walkable from the hostel. The room was surprisingly spacious, and the bed was big and comfortable. I also liked the thoughtful storage options, including a pull-out drawer under the bed and a built-in cabinet to keep belongings organized. The common area was clean and well-maintained. Guests can store food and even cook, which is very convenient for longer stays. Another thing I appreciated was that the toilet and shower areas are separate, making it easier for multiple people to use the facilities. I was pleasantly surprised by my stay here. It's about a 20-minute tram ride from Melbourne city center (which isn't too far, but the tram is quite slow), then a 3-5 minute walk. The area is very quiet. The double room was very spacious, I'd estimate around 30 square meters. Even with two beds, there was still plenty of extra space. There's a walk-in closet-like area connecting to the bathroom (which is relatively small). The fridge is tucked away in a cabinet. All toiletries were provided except for a toothbrush and toothpaste. For Melbourne, where space is at a premium, this location and room size at only 500 RMB a night is a fantastic deal. I had to pay a 100 AUD deposit upon check-in, which was refunded on the day of check-out.

I have to talk about this place. When I first checked in, it seemed pretty good. The bedroom, kitchen, and living room were open-plan, with two glass doors that, when closed, created a bedroom, and when open, transformed into a large room. The design was excellent. However, issues arose when it was time to sleep. The light in the kitchen/hallway wouldn't turn off; the switch didn't work. If the bedroom had solid walls on two sides, it wouldn't have been a big deal, but with two glass curtain walls, the bedroom was as bright as the hallway. I went to the front desk, and they couldn't fix it either. In the end, they had to trip the breaker and promised to repair it the next day. The hotel's solution the next day was to remove the lightbulb. Fine, they removed it. But then, a day later, housekeeping put the bulb back in! So, that evening, we had to go to the front desk again. An Indian female manager there had a 'take it or leave it' attitude, basically saying, 'Either trip the breaker or remove the bulb.' We asked to change rooms, and the next day, they did move us. To our surprise, this new room was even more annoying. One wall had a triangular skylight – I have no idea why a room would need a skylight. For stargazing? I was tired of seeing that manager's face, so we contacted Trip.com's customer service. Their intervention was swift and effective, and the hotel's attitude changed noticeably. A big thank you again to the Trip.com hotel customer service staff! 🧑💼👩💼

Great hotel with excellent service and value for money. I accidentally left 700 AUD in the room safe after check-out and only realized it at the airport. The staff handled it quickly and professionally, and I got my money back without any hassle. The hotel feels very safe and quiet, the room is spacious and comfortable, and the front desk staff are friendly. The location is perfect — opposite Southern Cross Station, easy for trains and the airport, with a Coles supermarket across the street. The area is very walkable. Highly recommended!

The hotel's location is pretty good. The one-day tour I booked met right outside the Windsor Hotel, which was only a few minutes' walk away. Both Red Apple and Green Apple supermarkets are within walking distance, and Chinatown isn't far either, making evenings very lively. The hotel facilities are admittedly a bit old, but the hygiene is decent. Breakfast is just okay, but it's filling, and surprisingly, they even offered congee. When checking out, since I paid a cash deposit, I had to wait a while for them to inspect the room before I could get my money back and leave. After the room check, I realized I'd left a piece of clothing in the room. The staff brought it down for me, neatly folded and presented it with both hands, which I really appreciated!

The Art Series hotels by Accor, while a novel idea years ago, are getting tired and a bit worn down at heel. The Olsen might have started as the belle of Chapel Street but she is definitely showing her age and no longer comes off as the cool influencer. Part of the problem is Accor can't decide what this series wants to be -- luxury hotels with $21 granola or boutique on a budget. The towels are thin, the lighting dim, the amenities screwed to the wall. We were placed in an ”accessible” room, which is a tiresome trick by front desk personnel to those bothering to find a good deal on overpriced lodgings. Mediocre shower, deafening fan, wet floor and soulless vibe. Bare minimum for coffee in room. Looked out our window at the poor souls working in the office across the way as it was better than staring at the curious drapes. Lift your game, Accor.

This was a trip with my wife in Melbourne for a few days before we head off to Tassie. We stayed at the loft room (note the loft bedrooms are located on lower floors, ours was on 2nd floor). On the arrival day, while we were off loading our luggages from our car (there were a few bags as we had just gone to a vineyard and had purchased 4 bottles), the 2 guards at the back door entrance, whom have clearly saw us, but didn’t assist with the luggage, nor inform the front desk to assist us. We ended up carrying the multiple luggages (along with the 4 wine bottles) while the guards watched.  On the second day, the guards were friendly - they assisted with doors and greeted us. On cleanliness, after first night, our toothpaste was empty but cleaning staff did not replace with a new set, but overall room was clean to basic standard.  However, our room had a bit of odd well on second night (first night was fine) not sure what the issue was but it did smell like kitchen cooking smell (we didn’t cook there). Breakfast was of good value and the staff working there were friendly and very responsive, I would probably say that the best experience was our breakfast thought out our stay there.

The location is genuinely great, right in Chinatown. Downstairs, you can find anything you want to eat. It's a perfect spot for Chinese tourists because you can get Chinese food anytime. If you need a convenience store, there's one right next door. You can also head to Chinatown for noodles in the morning. Across the street, there's a theater currently showing a Michael Jackson musical. You can check in online in advance; they'll send you an email. I checked in at the front desk, and the Indian guy was very friendly. They gave me a high-floor room. The room size isn't big, but it's just right for one or two people. The bed and pillows are comfortable, and it's very clean. However, there's no complimentary bottled water or slippers, which really surprised me. The bathroom also lacks a bath mat, so be careful when showering. Otherwise, everything else is pretty good. The gym isn't large, but the equipment is sufficient, with plenty of machines for compound training. I didn't opt for breakfast because there are so many food options downstairs, all within walking distance. The lobby bar on the ground floor is lively in the evenings. Overall, the price-performance ratio is excellent, but many things are minimalist, like the lack of slippers and water. The location is good, and the comfort level is adequate. So, if you prioritize price and location, this place is a solid choice.

Hhillkai11The location is genuinely great, right in Chinatown. Overall a good location as there are 2 tram stops just a quick 3 to 5 mins walk away from the apartment. There is a minimart and 7-11 just downstairs, convenient for picking up necessities. The apartment was quite big and had very useful amenities like a washer, dryer and fully equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher and big fridge. Unfortunately, the air-conditioner wasn't the best for me as it was a standing type located near the window in the living room. Despite adjusting to the lowest temperature and highest fan speed, the bedroom was still quite warm. Body wash, shampoo, hair conditioner and towels were provided but not toothbrush, comb or bottled water. There was a kettle provided but I would prefer having bottled water provided daily. I was also surprised that housekeeping was not provided for my 5-nights stay. Fresh towels can be requested by hanging a sign on the door before 8 am. Generally a good stay but do note that the reception counter is not open 24 hours, so if you arrive outside these timings, separate arrangements should probably be pre-arranged.

Stayed here on our last night in Melbourne and it exceeded my expectations. The property is very new and comfortable. The front desk staff were super friendly and provided a lot of detailed information. The hotel's location is also great and easy to find, with various restaurants nearby.

The room was very spacious, and it even had kitchen facilities, plus a large bed, making it perfect for a couple's trip. My only minor complaint is that the shower stall felt a bit small, and the shower head was fixed, so it couldn't be adjusted up or down, which was a bit inconvenient.

The room was quite spacious, and the location is very central. There's a famous comic book store across the street that sells American comics. The room didn't have amenities like slippers or toothbrushes, which you had to request from the front desk. Sometimes, there were staff at the front desk who spoke Chinese. Overall, it was very good, and I recommend it.

Great location and excellent service. They let us check in at 7:30 in the morning, which was a huge relief at that hour. The hotel itself was decent. The windows are quite thin, so a lot of noise and cold air came in. Otherwise, it was very good.

The hotel is conveniently located very close to Southern Cross Station, just a few minutes' walk from where the SkyBus drops you off. The room was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly. There's a Coles supermarket and a McDonald's nearby, plus a food street in the vicinity. It's also incredibly convenient for public transport, with tram stops for routes 30, 35, 86, and 96 all within easy reach.

My stay at Mercure Welcome Melbourne was a fantastic experience. The hotel's location is excellent, making getting around super convenient, and it's close to all the city's attractions, which made exploring and shopping a breeze. The overall environment was clean and tidy, with an elegant and spacious lobby. My room had great natural light, a simple yet cozy decor, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a very good night's sleep. The staff were warm, polite, and efficient during both check-in and check-out, and their service was thoughtful and attentive. The bathroom facilities were comprehensive, with stable hot water supply, and the cleanliness was impeccable. There's a wide variety of dining options nearby, making daily life and getting around very easy. Overall, the value for money in downtown Melbourne is outstanding. It was a comfortable and pleasant stay, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Melbourne. Highly recommended!
