The hotel service is excellent and the staff are very friendly. However, the cleanliness could be improved. We left used coffee glasses in the room and they were not replaced or washed. We also noticed a hole in the blanket and some yellow stains. We asked for a toothbrush, but were told there was no stock, which was a bit surprising for a Pullman.

A nice hotel, but the two bedroom is not really a two bedroom. It's more like a one bedroom plus the living area converted into the second sleeping area.
I find the ”two bedroom” room type too squeezy for 4 pax. We cannot even eat together on the same table, no table space and not enough chairs.
Also, although there is a lift, our floor is not at the lift landing, it's in-between the lift landing, so for those carrying big luggage, it was tedious, not recommended.
Otherwise, the room facilities are good, the location is great.

I stayed at the Charles Hotel in Munich on Christmas Eve on 12.24. The location is very convenient next to the city center. There are service staff to help park the car and bring luggage into the room. The front desk staff offered a welcome Christmas drink, as well as warm and caring service throughout the process. The hotel has a historical atmosphere, the rooms are relatively modern, the small balcony can see the park view, and the mood is super good when the sun shines in the room in the morning. I booked the Christmas dinner at the restaurant Sophia's in the hotel in advance. The food is not bad, not bad. There are quite a variety of breakfasts. In addition to the buffets that can be seen in Europe, there are also Bavarian set meals to try. Generally speaking, the hotel is quite cost-effective and will not step on thunder. An excellent hotel with a superb location! We took the Lufthansa Express bus from Terminal 2, which I highly recommend. It stops right at the hotel entrance, saving us the hassle of lugging luggage from the train station. Plus, the subway is right next door. The breakfast was very clean and tasty; although the variety wasn't extensive, it had most of the items you'd expect from a Western buffet. The front desk staff were also very warm and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the German guests weren't as aloof as I'd heard; everyone was quite friendly and helpful. At breakfast, when I had trouble lifting the lids for food, they kindly offered to help, which was lovely. The room was a bit small and lacked amenities like slippers, tissues, a kettle, toothpaste, and toothbrushes, so it's best to come prepared. The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk to Pasing train station, and Pasing Arcaden is also quickly accessible. Unfortunately, the hotel is very noisy, which severely disturbed my sleep as you could literally hear everything from the neighboring rooms. The double bed was made of two single mattresses with a gap in between. On Sunday, room service started cleaning the neighboring rooms and so on as early as 9 AM, making it impossible to sleep in. We booked two Comfort Rooms for our family of four and were happy that the hotel assigned us two rooms right next to each other. That made things much more convenient for us.
The rooms themselves were quite small, though. Once we opened a large suitcase, there was barely any floor space left. The bathroom was also on the small side. On the positive side, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and we slept well during our stay.
A nice touch was the complimentary minibar, which included a few soft drinks, a bottle of beer, and two small bottles of water (one still and one sparkling).
It’s hard for me to judge the location overall, but there is a tram stop nearby. Tram 19 provides easy access to places such as Marienplatz and other parts of the city. We also used Uber to travel to and from Munich Central Station, which cost around €16–20 each way.
Breakfast was decent. The highlight was definitely the egg station—the freshly cooked fried eggs were delicious. The bread selection, however, was fairly basic and not particularly exciting.
Overall, it was a bit disappointing as we expected more from a 4-star hotel.FromSAR 344

We arrived at 6 PM on the first day. We had two rooms, and two people were checking us in. The person checking in the double room told me it was actually a single room, and the single room was checked in for two people. I don't think that's right. That evening, we washed our clothes and put them on the rack, and the amount of dust we wiped off was like the first picture. The next morning, they didn't clear away our breakfast until after 3 PM, and didn't even clean up the items on the floor. This hotel doesn't even have its own parking lot, which made us search for ages. We asked later and found out they don't have one. They did help us bring our luggage upstairs. Service at Bayerischer Hof starts outside, when arriving by car: They take care of your luggage and take the keys to park your car. Reception is very friendly, helpful and effectively under the Corona-Regulations, to provide a good room for you.
Breakfast is still good, but before Corona-Times it was definitely better. I only managed a Dinner at Trader Vic's, which is quite nice for tourists, but not the original food I know from Asia myself.
The four days at the Bayerischer Hof were the most comfortable time I had this year.

The Westin lives up to its reputation as a five-star hotel; the service was excellent. We booked a triple room including breakfast and dinner for three nights. Upon check-in, the front desk informed us that the buffet dinner area was closed for some reason that day, so they arranged for us to dine at the bar. We were initially a bit worried, but it turned out to be an authentic Western meal with appetizers, main courses, desserts, and drinks – nothing was missing, and it was all delicious, which was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast buffet was also very rich. The room was quite spacious, and it even had air conditioning. The only minor drawbacks were the rather small parking spaces, which made parking a bit difficult, and that the hotel facilities are showing their age. I stayed in Munich for three days (May 6th - May 9th), and as a solo traveler, I chose the A&O Hostel at Hackerbrücke. The overall experience far exceeded my expectations; it's definitely a 'hidden gem' for value in a high-cost city like Munich!
📍 Location & Transportation:
The hotel's location is extremely appealing. It's just a stone's throw away from the Hackerbrücke S-Bahn station, and from there, it's just one stop to Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). Getting to city center attractions like Marienplatz also takes only a few minutes. If you enjoy a good city walk, strolling along Arnulfstraße is also quite pleasant.
🛏️ Room & Facilities (6-person dorm):
I booked a bed in a 6-person dorm.
Space and View: The room is about 18-19 square meters. Even with bunk beds, there's still enough space to move around once everyone's luggage is laid out. The best part is that the room offers a very nice city view and good natural light, which prevents it from feeling cramped.
Quietness: I must commend the hotel's front desk service! When I booked on Trip.com, I specifically requested to be 'away from the elevator.' True to their word, the front desk arranged for me to be in a room further down the corridor upon check-in. This is so important for a hostel, as it successfully avoided the noise of people coming and going in the middle of the night. I had a very good rest all three nights.
Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the rooms and shared bathrooms is considered above average for hostels in the same price range in Europe. Housekeeping cleans daily.
💰 Value for Money & Additional Services:
Price: For 3 nights, including taxes and various discounts, I only paid a total of 71.14 Euros! That works out to less than 24 Euros per night. In Munich, a city where every square inch counts, being able to rent a safe, clean, and conveniently located bed at this price is truly excellent value.
Dining Suggestions: My booking did not include meals. While the hotel offers a breakfast buffet, I'd recommend exploring the nearby train station or bakeries for more choices and more authentic local food.
