The room was amazing, clean and big. The reception staff was brilliant. How ever we ran into a problem with one member of staff who was rude ( gave us dirty looks ) after we complained about our food order been wrong. We sent the same meal back 5 times after it was wrong. This was not a language barrier either because we translated it for said person. We told the manager who never got back to us. Other than that problem, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

The hotel lobby is very nicely decorated, the room was of medium size but with a great view of the river. Shower and bathtub in the bathroom, but be careful it’s slippery when wet. Staff was very friendly. Free drinks in the evening on the top floor with great 360 views of the city. Pool and exercize room on the top floor too. Overalll a great value for the money.

I booked this hotel because it's only a 5-minute walk to where I needed to go. It's a very Chinese-style business hotel. The front desk staff speak Chinese, and most of the meals are Chinese cuisine. The room layout is similar to that of a Ji Hotel. They offer laundry service and late-night snacks, and most of the guests are Chinese. The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk to Central Market and Canadia Tower, truly in the city center. Unfortunately, the building next door is undergoing renovations, so the drilling noise was quite loud. Also, the hotel faces the street, so there's some traffic noise. Light sleepers might want to reconsider.

The service was great, and you could order all three meals to be delivered to your room. Most of the staff spoke everyday English. The rooftop restaurant is a good spot for an evening meal. The drink prices were lower than typical restaurants, less than double market price, which was pretty reasonable.

If you are looking for a no-frills, budget-friendly place to crash in the absolute heart of Bangkok’s action, City Lodge Bangkok (specifically the popular one located at Sukhumvit Soi 9) is a solid contender. Here is an honest breakdown of what to expect if you book a stay. 📍 The Standout Feature: Location & Connectivity The absolute best thing about City Lodge is its location. It sits right at the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 9, literally steps away from the Nana BTS Skytrain station (about a 10-foot walk from the steps). The Good: You can jump on the Skytrain and be anywhere in Bangkok within minutes. It is a 15-minute walk to the Sukhumvit MRT (subway) and the Terminal 21 shopping mall. Restaurants, street food, massage parlors, and convenience stores are right outside your doorstep. The Bad: It is located directly next to Sukhumvit Soi 11 and Nana Plaza, meaning it is in the absolute epicenter of Bangkok's chaotic nightlife.

Hotel is conveniently located in BKK district, near Independence monument. Staff was very friendly and helpful and even let me check in at 14pm. Room is spacious and clean, a bit dark, but it's ok. On the first morning AC was dead on the entire floor and they moved me to other hotel. Even though that hotel is supposedly better, they put me in a room looking directly at construction site, on the same level, so the workers were literally on my balcony. Noise from early morning till evening, and then music from nearby club till 5 in the morning. I think they should pay me for staying there not the other way arround. I didn't like the surrounding area. The rooftop pool was nice though. The first hotel in BKK district is better anyway.

This was my first time in Phnom Penh. I don't speak any Khmer, and my English is at a very basic level, so I specifically looked for a Japanese-owned hotel. I chose Azumaya Hotel Phnom Penh because it had a large public bath, affordable massages, Japanese breakfast service, and free access to a washing machine and dryer. * **Public Bath:** Women's bathing hours are after 11 PM. * **Restaurant:** Breakfast is a buffet, but if you're late for the buffet hours, they'll serve you a set meal instead. I really enjoyed the daily changing local fruits and yogurt. * **Massage:** $9 for 40 minutes, with courses up to 100 minutes available. It was so affordable that I used it every day. * **Laundry:** Free of charge, with drum washing machines and large dryers. * **Outlets:** Although the picture shows a Type C plug, Japanese plugs can be used directly. * **Location:** I'm not entirely familiar with Phnom Penh's entertainment district, but a 7-minute tuk-tuk ride will get you to Central Market, Boeung Keng Kang Market, Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, and the Night Market. There's a Vietnamese convenience store a 2-minute walk away. Starbucks is right in front of the hotel. Within a 1-minute walk, there's a Japanese set meal restaurant, a Vietnamese restaurant, and a Chinese restaurant (which I found a bit pricey). * **Hotel Staff's Japanese Level:** They can handle simple Japanese. More complex conversations might be difficult, but they try their best to assist you. I had emailed the hotel beforehand to confirm the location and facilities, and I received an excellent response in Japanese. * **Currency Exchange:** You can exchange yen for dollars or riel. 10,000 JPY was equivalent to $60. * **Airport Express Bus Stop:** If coming from the airport, get off at Canadia Park (50 minutes from the airport), then it's a 5-10 minute tuk-tuk ride to the hotel. To get to the airport from the city, catch the bus from the University of Health Sciences, which is across the road from Canadia Park. I would definitely stay at Azumaya Hotel again if I visit Phnom Penh in the future. The staff mentioned that almost all guests are Japanese.

On this trip I upgraded to one of their apartments and that made my week even more comfortable.. Very spacious, bath, 2 showers 2 toilets, 2 good aircon units and a small balcony overlooking Wat Botum pagoda. A good family sized fridge freezer meant my drinks, milk meats and cheeses were cold. Basic utensils but top tip, bring a normal cutlery knife. Located on 4th floor, I woas treated to a spooky but spectacular lightning show without the rumble of thunder. Stood on balcony and had a fantastic view. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfasts still very good, simple but plenty. However going 'self-catering' allowed me to get my cornflakes and ice cold milk in the morning. Cannot beat that! Next visit will see me booking an apartment only. So so convenient. Again, Le Botum was a superb location for me. Go to street 172. Plenty of expats....some characters too...and a 24hr supermarket called 'Smile' and you will. So much British stuff, it could have been anywhere in the UK. Book Le Botum. You won't be disappointed.

Undoubtedly a perfect score! 💯 This is a fantastic hotel with impeccable service, an excellent location, and absolutely stunning architecture. I believe the hotel was built upon an existing old structure, and the style is simply breathtaking. Especially at night 🌃, it has a super cool vibe – my photos honestly don't do it justice. The front desk staff were incredibly polite and had everything perfectly arranged. When I arrived in the middle of the night and saw two other groups checking in, I knew I had made the right hotel choice. The hotel is situated near the Royal Palace and close to the National Museum, placing it right in the heart of the main tourist area. Most attractions are within walking distance, making it the perfect choice for travelers. I *must* mention the breakfast here; it's incredibly high quality, almost perfect. They truly understand guest needs and provide a high standard of options. A simple example is the yogurt: they don't offer generic supermarket products but instead provide homemade, unsweetened yogurt. To cater to different tastes, you have choices like plain, with passion fruit, or with diced mango. They emphasize fresh, high-quality ingredients, a comfortable and beautiful dining environment, a rich selection of low-sugar options, mild flavors, and attentive service. You definitely need to try it. Special thanks to the front desk and the restaurant. Because we had to catch a very early flight, they specially prepared convenient packed meals for us upon request, which we picked up at the front desk at 5:30 AM. That was fantastic! This is the best hotel choice in Phnom Penh.

The hotel is in a very accessible location and within walking distance to restaurants, a supermarket, and the main street, which makes getting around very convenient. The room itself was also clean and comfortable. The only downside during my stay was the view from the room. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much of a view as my room was facing another building’s lift lobby and car park. Because of this, I had to keep the window blinds closed for most of the day for privacy. Overall, the location and cleanliness are definite positives, but the room view was a bit disappointing.

This hotel in Phnom Penh is themed as a 'sports resort'. The pros are its massive grounds, featuring a horse riding arena, tennis courts, soccer fields, and a huge swimming pool, making it great for families or team building. The cons are its remote location and the vast park, which requires a shuttle service. International socket in the room so you don have to bring along the travel adapter. The customer service was really good especially Peter the front desk manager. He has been accommodating to our request for late check out and ensure our well being during the stay. Highly recommend this hotel if you are a business traveller. The location is lovely and as you arrive there’s a real wow feeling.  The service is excellent and the whole team are delightful. The pool was beautiful and the gardens were really lovely.  It was really quiet when we were there so the restaurant was often empty besides us which  felt a bit strange. The food was fine but could have been hotter, it felt that presentation took priority over heat. The prices in the restaurant seemed quite high. I love the idea that this place is eco friendly however if guests are expected to top up water bottles the water stations should be clean and inviting. The gym was a bit scruffy and not inviting but then I wasn’t there for that!  The place is relatively new however there were definite signs of the rooms being tired  but I think if cleaned more would make the place look spectacular - which I guess is the desired effect. Eg. Our courtyard was very scruffy and not welcoming. The TV wasn’t working and the windows in the apartment desperately needed cleaning.  Some little touches and attention to detail would bring this back to the 5* glory that it should be.  Overall we enjoyed our stay and hope that the management team take my comments on board because I think it could be fabulous.

I work in Phnom Penh and have stayed here twice on weekends. The hotel is located in the city center and all rooms come with a private soaking tub. There's also a restaurant on the ground floor where you can dine. The security staff are helpful and deliver food deliveries right to your room, which is a thoughtful service. The bedding is comfortable and great for sleeping. My only minor complaint is that the air conditioning was a bit weak; I suspect it's because my room was on the top floor and had floor-to-ceiling windows, making it feel a little warm. On the plus side, it's also close to Mama Thai and YOU SPA, making it very convenient for getting around.

I stayed at M Residence in Phnom Penh for 3 nights, and I truly believe you won't find a better value for money. The room condition was impeccably clean and the facilities were excellent, making my entire stay incredibly satisfying. What impressed me most was the service. During check-in, they upgraded my room even before I asked, and the staff were always smiling and friendly, which made my stay very pleasant. I particularly appreciated having a washing machine in the room. They thoughtfully provided not only laundry detergent but also dish soap and a new sponge. These small details made me feel like they truly cared about their guests. The amenities are so well-equipped that next time, I won't need to pack much heavy clothing; I can just bring a light bag. Another highlight of this accommodation is revealed at night. The panoramic night view of Phnom Penh from the window is simply breathtaking. I was amazed every evening by the spectacular lights around the Independence Monument, which I could comfortably enjoy from my room. This time, my schedule was too packed to use the hotel's swimming pool and gym, which was a pity, but I definitely plan to use them next time. My 3-night stay was so satisfying that I'm already planning to stay for another week next month. If you're looking for accommodation in Phnom Penh, I wholeheartedly recommend this place without hesitation!

My stay was excellent. The room was impressively spacious and incredibly comfortable, making it a true haven after busy days exploring. The hotel pool was also a major highlight—clean, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing swim or just lounging in the sun. I would definitely choose this hotel again for the great combination of comfort and amenities.
