Sandakan Resorts

We were initially a little worried about booking this hotel as it had no reviews and wasn’t even open! However, we definitely made the right decision. The hotel is brand new. It was very clean and had all the luxuries of a 5* hotel. The pool area is beautiful - the photos don’t do it justice at all and it has stunning views over the harbour. The staff are clearly still learning how everything works but super friendly and happy to do anything they can to make your stay more enjoyable. Clearly the nicest hotel in Sandakan.

A superb historic hotel, the room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style and had different choices each day we were there. The afternoon cake and drinks were both great value and excellent quality. This was the best hotel we stayed at during our driving tour of Sabah. Highly recommend the Sabah Hotel if you are going to Sandankan.

The room is quite huge, comfy and clean. The plug point near to the beds is only one, so need to have a extension but there is plug point opposite of the bed. The toilet is okay, clean. Provided with the toiletries and slippers. There is also massage parlour downstairs, can make payment by cards

This hotel has an old-school charm and a fantastic location for exploring Sandakan in depth. The mosque next door marks the beginning of the Heritage Trail, and you might even spot monitor lizards along the roadside. Walking the Heritage Trail was an amazing experience!

Everything is ok about this hotel. Only that is not easy to find halal restaurant around it. 0ther than that it strange to encounter creepy moment. Felt like someone is watching vou in the room. Everyday ww had a bad dream about war here at the hotel. What an experience

The bed was comfortable. The room was clean and though the decor a bit unusual, It was a safe place to stay and all staff were very friendly, and the gym was average, but overall a good stay. Thankyou

It is an affordable option and very convenient for 3 people sharing one room, which is hard to find. The air conditioning works well despite the hotel being quite old. However, ventilation needs improvemenI, the window couldn’t be opened, the toilet had poor ventilation with some smell, and the water pressure was weak. Overall, a budget-friendly stay, but maintenance could be better.

The stay was just okay. Some of the furniture in our room had stains and marks, and there was a weird smell strong enough that we ended up buying an air freshener lol. The air conditioner also wasn’t cooling even after running for two hours at 16°C. Fortunately, the receptionist was able to change our room. Just a heads-up: the hotel doesn’t provide slippers, so do bring your own next time.

One of the fancier hotels in Sandakan! The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and I appreciated the 24 hour check in service. The room came with full amenities, though I couldn't seem to find a hair dryer anywhere. The view from the balcony was lovely, and the room was super clean, especially the bathroom. The king sized bed was very comfortable and made the stay extra relaxing. The hotel is located near the airport, which is convenient for travelers, but it's a bit far from the town center and main attractions, something to keep in mind if you're planning to explore the area. There were a couple of minor issues: the sink had a leak, which made the floor wet while using it, and the tv wasn't working. It kept showing ”по connection.” Overall, I'd still stay here again and hope to see some improvements in maintenance next time. Thanks so much!
