What I liked most is that it’s also a place for the elderly and for those who need support. It was so nice to share the same space with them, to receive a warm “guten morgen” from the other guests and to feel grounded. The staff was always smiling and friendly. I am thankful.

|1.06km from city centerThe apartment is in the center of interlaken shopping streets. There's a few branded outlet shops with good price. The apartment has a double bed and a bunk bed which was perfect for a family of 4, there's also a small kitchen where we cooked a few nights so we feel like home. But the heater goes on and off at times so there are times when we feel a bit cold but it was november so we can manage the coldness. The downside is our room was on the 4th floor, so getting the lugagge up was abit crazy 😁

We had a fantastic big clean room overlooking breathtaking views. The breakfast buffet had a large selection of hot and cold food, However due to lack of staff when things ran out, they weren't being replaced very quickly but the waitress did her very best and was very pleasant when asked. The only complaints that I would have is that the hotel is very out dated and in need of a bit of maintenance. Also the Irish bar is not very Irish! and no beer on draft so very disappointing But overall a fantastic stay.

Die Frühstückszeiten sind zwischen 7.30 und 9.30, was absolut ein zu kleines Zeitfenster ist. Wir wollten früher los und baten am Abend vorher um ein Frühstückspaket. Die Antwort war: Das zahlt mir niemand, jemanden früher aufzubieten... Kleiner Tipp am Rande von Gästen, die das Frühstück bezahlt haben: Man kann sehr wohl eine Alternative bieten. Ein Angebot in Form von Zwieback und dem von ihm ohnehin abgepackten Käse, dann vielleicht einen Orangensaft und das Problem wäre gelöst. Auch könnte man vielleicht einen kleinen Zustupf (z.B. Fr. 10 für einen externen Kaffee) anbieten. Das alles könnte man, wenn man ein klein wenig gastfreundlich sein möchte. Einmal und sicher kein zweites Mal in diesem Hotel.

But it was beautiful to wake up to ! Like the previous reviewer I was a little worried by some previous negative reviews ….. but be assured Hotel Chalet Swiss is rustic and charming and spotlessly clean and the staff were all wonderful - from front desk to kitchen staff We had a family room / triple room - and as it is chalet style - yes it will be an older style - but very clean and good shower and the beds were very comfy and they provided fans - it could still be hot but most people could open windows for breeze .. we didn’t only as mosquitoes seem to love our pale Northern Irish skin 😂 The breakfast was lovely and the ladies serving ( or organising some guests who seemed more clueless at moving around a small buffet space !) were brilliant ( they accommodated my need for oat milk as I was staying for 6 days which was so appreciated) the breakfast had a large variety of cereals , fruit , fresh bread and croissants and bread for toasting and lots of jams or spreads , cold hams and cheeses and scrambled egg and a coffee machine ( for those that say there wasn’t enough variety we were there for 6 days and even me who was more limited being dairy free - was still very happy with my breakfasts - and view from breakfast most days …. Now I’m home my own breakfast feels inadequate 😂 The staff were very helpful and the guy we were speaking to ( might have been the owner ?) on our last day was so interesting with a wealth of knowledge of the travel industry and changes he’s seen - sorry we couldn’t have listened to more of his tales ! ( the hotel also accommodated us checking out in am and providing left luggage storage before catching train back to Zurich in afternoon which meant we could make most of our last day ) The hotel is very convenient to Interlaken West - ( even with cases !) and also very handy to a Co-op supermarket which became our place to stock up on food / snacks for lunch - en route to the train for that days adventures . You can easily walk into Interlaken from the hotel but I highly recommend walking by the river ( it’s turquoise and you won’t believe it till you see it !) which takes you all the way to Interlaken Ost train station and to Harder Kulm All in all we loved our stay in Interlaken and would highly recommend this hotel !

The hotel gives you a bus pass which is great. The room was spotlessly clean, the shower was powerful snd refreshing, the beds were so comfortable matress, duvet, and pillow. We would 100% stay here again.

The hotel also issue free bus & train transport card within Interlaken and between Interlaken Ost & West stations. The toilet comes with body shampoo. There are also 6 USB ports for charging your devices in the room. Though the rooms are next to the street, the window and balcony door are double glazed, which keeps out the noise. There's aircon in the room but you don't really need it in winter, the fee to turn on the air-conditioning is CHF20. Breakfast is just average, nothing interesting here.

At the same time, supermarket coop, Migrolino and tourist information centre also takes 1-2mins can be arrived. Many restaurants and souvenirs shops nearby.
Staffs are nice and talkative 😃
Room is clean and big enough to open two luggage at the same time. Electric kettle was provided.
The minor thing is that there is no view outside the window. And the other thing is no toothpaste or toothbrush will be provided. I would recommend for the people who are in budget or with big luggage.

But from the moment you walk into this establishment, you are in great hands. You'll get excellent customer service and be located in an amazing property. The bathrooms/showers were so clean. The outdoor space gives you some isolation to admire the views or do some work. The kitchen area was my favorite - it's so spacious so I highly recommend stocking up on food from the local supermarket. The rooms were comfortable and the guests were respectful of my sleeping schedule. Overall, I couldn't ask for a better experience and for a great price. I paid 3 times more for a smaller room in Lauterbrunnen for what I paid here. I'll definitely be coming back to Backpackers Villa.

There is no way for the Interlaken Youth Hostel to be booked. But this hotel is the limit of two skydiving companies. The sport can be picked up here. Unfortunately, I didn’t book the Interlaken Youth Hostel. It’s the closest to Interlaken’s East Station. The only trip to the train station in my only trip is that I can’t book just one night. |1.3km from city centerThe cleanest hostel you can imagine. Everything in the kitchen and bathroom are tidy and clean. Not the best pillow you want but I brought it myself so it didn't affect me. The room is really warm that I didn't have to cover myself even it is -3 outside. It is in good shape that you won't have to walk shoulder to shoulder. Everyone have their own locker that can easily fit my 30L backpack. However, there are only one EU socket in the room. It provides one USB A socket and a wireless charging rack for each bed but I don't think it is enough for people having laptop. Some of the wireless charger are also shaky so not the best place for you to put your phone on. The location is really good too, only 3 to 5 minutes to Interlaken West station and 15 to 20 minutes walk to Interlaken Ost (East). Breakfast is average, not the best for budget travellers. COOP half-price food cost much less if you are not that picky.

Personally I loved the chocolate drink Room- we are lucky to have a double room with own bathroom . Our room is corner room, it bigger space for me to put 2 luggage Noise - yes. As it’s near the train station. To us, it’s ok even the windows is open during night time . As there’s no aircon or fan in the room Bathroom- standard . U need to prepare your own toiletries. Except the 2 in 1 bath shower/ hair Towel - yes u can change your towel with hostel counter staff Hair dryer - upon request . Do put deposit Ensure you made your own bed. Tidy the place .

|1.07km from city centerInterlaken is a beautiful, quaint little town and the Stella hotel is in a great location close to the Interlaken West train station and near the landing field for paragliding, both of which were great for us. Our room had a stunning view of the mountains! The breakfast was so good with fresh croissants and fruit and a self serve omelette station and espresso machine as well as bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs. The breakfast room is lovely and Jean, the food manager on most days we were there, is a gem. So attentive and sweet. Astrid at the front desk was helpful too. My husband used the small workout area and pool which has glass all around with a lovely view. Our main disappointments were with our room. Though spacious, it was very dated with exposed metal rods supporting shelving and random furniture and an old lamp in the seating area…Not like the website photos. The biggest functional issue is there is no AC. Because it was unseasonably warm for October, we had to leave the glass doors open and could hear all the street noise early in the morning when we were trying to sleep. We requested a fan for white noise (thank you, Astrid) and that helped some. I can’t imagine staying there when it’s warmer. With that said, we were not in our room except to sleep so we still enjoyed all the positives of the food, location and helpful staff.

|0.54km from city centerMy pre-requisite for booking any Interlaken hotel for our stay was a minimum 4 star, sauna and a double bed. I love saunas and for me after my daily exercise program a hot sauna is perfect to relax! Your reception staff were excellent on arrival. When I enquired about the sauna, she explained that as long as I notify reception, I can request a sauna at any time. On day one I had a fabulous 86-degree sauna at 7.30am, it was great to have a “proper” heater and not the infra-red heater that are so common nowadays and to relax afterwards in your solarium area. The only comment was the glass door is a real struggle to close and requires attention. On day 2, at around 5.30pm I went to reception to request a 6.30 am sauna the following morning, the male receptionist was attending to a customer. Whilst I was happy to wait , one of his colleagues , the porter asked if he could help me. I explained that I wished to have a sauna the following morning at 6.30 .. He said he would ensure a message was left for the sauna to be ready for me. At 6.30 the following morning I proceeded to the sauna and wellness area to find a cold sauna. The ”double bed” in 101 is shocking- It is 2 single beds pushed together with a double sheet over the top of the two singles. There was a huge depression between the two beds . The bed looks like a roller coaster ! So much for a double bed to snuggle up to my wife in bed ☹ Breakfast overall was very good. The selection is amazing , the fresh fruit, fresh fruit juice, and much more ..it did have the wow factor however the bacon and sausage were sat in a pool of fat or oil. (Many of the better hotels tend to put a few slices of bread under the bacon and sausage to soak the excess fat or oil up.) 10/10 for the fabulous Christmas decorations ! I do make a point of reviewing any place that delivers exceptional customer service as much as those that disappoint.

However, Eddie (at the bar in the restaurant), is the most colorful character of all! Great personality with wonderful 'tall tales'. Kudos to all! The facility is in a good location; it is clean and well maintained; the Wi-Fi is very good; the rates are reasonable; and the restaurant is cozy with a good basic continental breakfast. Minor considerations: the single room (twin bed) is small but adequate. It comes with a private shower, whereas some of the larger rooms have shared showers. My in-room shower was the type where water goes over the whole bathroom; remove anything you don't want to get wet before you shower. There is no elevator; if climbing stairs is a problem, better to choose elsewhere.

|0.45km from city centerUsually when you think of the term ”tourist trap” you think of a restaurant or an excursion of some sort. In this case, it's a hotel. This hotel is well-situated in the heart of Interlaken (the city of which is in itself a tourist trap but that's a different review). It also has a nice name and a regal exterior. It unsurprisingly seems to attract a lot of guests (myself included) as a result. I certainly regret staying here. I spent three nights here with my wife amidst a warm week in the area. Some of the highlights: - unbelievably old rooms with old, smelly carpets and dirty, peeling wallpaper - no air conditioning, simply a cheap plastic fan stocked in the closet of every room - very shoddy cleaning service in which clothes are left lying on the floor, coffee pods are not replenished...really not much is done aside from making the bed - very condescending front desk staff, namely one gentleman in particular who was unfortunately not wearing a name tag - kind and hard working breakfast staff at the restaurant which is unfortunately quite understaffed It was strange that in just three days at the hotel we noticed a very large number of visibly dissatisfied guests. All in all I recommend not staying here.

Most of all, there was an air conditioner, so I had a cool evening in the 30 degree weather. The room had a mountain view, so it was really nice. The shared kitchen is indoors and outdoors, and has a microwave, various tableware, wooden chopsticks, and a refrigerator. Thanks to that, I ate the retort food I brought from Korea. There is no mini-fridge in the room, and the bathroom is small but not inconvenient. If I come to Interlaken, I want to stay here again.

|1.58km from city centerHow nice it was to return to the Rössli hote in its quiet, convenient location only a five minute walk from Interlaken West railway/bus/boat interchange, from where you can explore the beautiful Bernese Oberland region and farther afield using the excellent Swiss Transport system. The hotel is a traditional, homely, unpretentious, clean and well managed establishment with friendly and helpful staff. Christopher the owner speaks six languages and he and the rest of the multi-lingual reception staff can help provide local excursion tickets, information leaflets and general help with your itineraries that save queuing at the station or local tourist information centre. The hotel provides the Interlaken Guest Card that allows for local bus and rail transport within the town and offers discounts at local shops and attractions. My room at the Rössli was very clean, simply furnished with a very comfy bed, writing desk, multi-channel TV, safe, electrical sockets including USB ports plus a shower and toilet. There is a compact lift that operates between reception and the first and second floor, whilst remaining access to the third floor is via stairs. 24 hour free tea/coffee is available in the ground floor lounge along with a large screen TV with video options. There is also a small multi-lingual library and a microwave cooker plus utensils available so guests may bring in and heat up their own foods. On the second floor is another TV lounge with video library and children’s play area. Breakfasts at the Rössli are continental style with a yummy scrambled egg and bacon option plus the usual cereals, breads, meats, cheeses, boiled eggs, jams, yoghurts and fruit juices. Tea and coffee are served at your tables by their friendly staff including Jean Louis (Christopher’s dad) who provides humorous commentary and useful pearls of tourist wisdom to his many returning guests. The hotel also provides free parking and offers a pay as you go laundry facility. Across the road from the hotel are a pharmacy, Bank ATM, Pizza restaurant and within 150m is a well stocked Co-oP from where you can stock up on drinks, fruit and snacks that will sustain your on your daily travels. As the hotel is very popular, I would advise booking early to avoid disappointment. If you want a family friendly, cosy retreat that won’t entirely empty your wallet, then I would recommend the Rössli without hesitation.

The perfect blend of size & style, we are amazed with their spaciousness & exquisite decor. They provide bedroom slippers provided, toothbrush, shaver & cream, cotton pad, safe, hair dryer, etc. These advanced amenities definitely make our stay nothing short of perfect. We enjoyed our stay very much!
The location of the hotel was awesome. It's just a few minutes walk to the Interlaken West Station. There's also many different buses u can take to many different beautiful attractions like Lake Brienz.
I have seen many reviews about the cheese fondue from their restaurant. We tried it too & was so in love with it. As we brought our 3.5yrs old child along, we can only have cheese fondue without alcohol. We replaced it with apple juice at an additional cost of 5chf. Indeed food was really good! And the waiters were really kind & friendly. They were very kind & patient with our little girl. She was given colouring materials for entertainment. Thanks to the waiters. We had lots of laughter while enjoying our meals.
Oh yes, there's a big fluffy black cat who often patronise the hotel & restaurant. It usually sleeps on the first chair near the left of the entrance. Staff of the hotel & restaurant are really nice, loving little animals & taking care of them very well.
Overall, it was a very wonderful experience staying here. We would gladly come back again!

The location can’t be beat, with stunning views of Jungfrau, right in the heart of the main entertainment area, and walkable with luggage to either rail station. (Interlaken West a better walk because there was construction to and from Ost) the staff were friendly and attentive to every detail from check-in to check out. Just a flawless experience at a lovely, clean, well appointed hotel.

The Interlaken Ost Banhof is al just a few meters away, making it very convenient to travel. Breakfast was awesome with a lot of variations. The staff were all nice as well.
