the room was really big (way bigger than expected) and the entire hotel looks very fancy and nice. we had the junior suite i think. we had a smart tv etc and ordering food to the room costs 50k rupees (=2.5€) and a thirty minute massage 100k rupees. we only stayed for one night. the food at the restaurant and breakfast were also very good. overall 10/10 very beautiful and especially for the price 100% worth it.

The location is super strategic, right in the city center and close to everything. Public transport access is also nearby. I stayed there for 5 nights, and on one day, the room wasn't cleaned even though I had requested it at the front office. I'm a regular here; whenever I need a hotel in the city center, I always choose this one. There's a semi-indoor swimming pool and a mini-fridge in the room. The view from the upper floors is also beautiful.

I had a staycation for my husband's birthday and our 18th anniversary. I was so happy because all of my requests were granted, and the service was outstanding. Thank you, Vasa Hotel. We received both a birthday cake and an anniversary cake for free. It's rare for a hotel to fulfill customer requests like this. For the past two years, my birthday staycations at other 5-star hotels were a bust, I didn't get anything. This hotel is luxurious, clean, and all the staff are friendly. It truly deserves its 5 stars and is definitely worth returning to (mbaleniable).

It’s a decent hotel located in center of Surabaya near to Tunjungan Plaza and Jalan Tunjungan. The room is very standard to everything one person need for few nights stay… nothing fancy. I was assigned room with amazing view from 6th floor. The room is clean and neat and I love that they have smart TV. Wifi is pretty fast and reliable too. One thing for improvement is foul smell on the hallway. I think it’s due to the aging building. However, staffs clean the hallway carpet regularly. I would surely return to this hotel if I go back to Surabaya.

Great solid property and performance all round.. what a great short stay we had.. from the elegant lobby and lounge area through to the beautiful spacious room with lovely views over Surabaya. Exceptionally clean with every quality amenity on offer in room and within hotel confines. The room was peacefully quiet, with a soft comforting bed. Pool and recreational area was set amongst manicured palm trees and gorgeous gardens. The pool was one of the best balanced PH levels I’ve ever swam in. Nice comfortable lounges and ample seating around with some seats submerged along in pool. The refined service level at this hotel is a solid 10/10 from reception/concierge/ room attendants and especially in Pavilion Restaurant. The quality, presentation and variety of food is outstanding at breakfast. Thank you graciously for making our special occasion so welcoming with the beautifully adorable presentation on the bed, lovely celebration cake offered along with the very personal attention from the Sous Chef and charming restaurant staff at Pavilion. Special shoutout to Restaurant ambassador Wachid whom personally escorted our plated celebratory cake to our room. Don’t skip the breakfast—it’s absolutely worth the extra add-on! The spread is solid, though I’d love to see them add local coffee and lontong sayur for that perfect traditional breakfast vibe. The hotel’s direct door to the mall is a game-changer: so many great eateries, a cinema, and shops just steps away. Rooms are spotless, but fair warning: you can only adjust the fan, not the thermostat, so at 21°C it does run a bit chilly. Still, it’s a tiny trade-off for the location and comfort. I’m already looking forward to my next stay!

The best hotel we stayed in Surabaya, conveniently located beside Tunjungan plaza with many restaurants and stores. Walking distance around 5 mins have many chic and hipster cafes worth visiting. Hotel room was clean and very spacious. All the staff was very friendly and accomodating. The best part was the buffet breakfast, with many arrays of foods and live stations. With all the delicous food and warm staff at the restaurant, we really enjoyed the whole breakfast. Highly recommemded!

Before I review I want to say all the staff were kind friendly and very helpful. If this review was about the staff you would have 100%. My problem is with the fabric of the hotel. It is dirty , shabby and living in the past. The first entertainment hotel in the city. Looking at it it was probably the last time it was refurbished. I feel that the staff put on a brave face and they are professional in their duties. Entering my room the sheets were grey had holes and stained. If you use an external laundry and hire your linen someone needs to change your contract!! Grey is not white. The walls are covered in hardboard and are dirty. Shower and toilet ok. Fire door did not self close. Hole in the wall where the self closer keeps hitting it. If this is a four star hotel it’s the staff who are keeping it there, a review though in my opinion would drop you to two stars at the best!! The owners need to reinvest!!

Room Change at Midnight, Poor Sleep I had to switch rooms at midnight because the air conditioning couldn't cool below 20°C. The technician couldn’t fix it and advised me to call the duty manager. I had an early flight and needed rest, but the room change took time, and I was disturbed again by a late-night call offering a towel. I finally slept around 12:30 AM and had to wake up at 5:15 AM. On the bright side, the porter kindly gave me a breakfast bag before my early checkout. Still, I’m reconsidering staying here again—might opt for a 4-star hotel with better comfort next time.

Not really satisfied, service could be better. Reached at 4pm (indoesia time) to check in, was asked to wait as the room is not ready. Waited for 10mins which is okay. Card only given 1 - not convenient when we arranged inhouse massage as one of us need to stay in the room with the massuer while my husband went down to pick up another masseur and the room went off pitch black. Breakfast - eggs ran out by 9am, and was told that there will be no more eggs Checkout day, called reception around 10am - request for additional mineral bottle for drinking but was told that we are checking out today and we would need to purchase the bottle. Checkout - was running 5 minutes late, reception already called asking to check out now. Bed and pillows are okay and comfortable to sleep. There’s international plug so you can use if you’re using 3 pin plug. Location is perfect, just across the Tunjungan Plaza but nothing nice to shop. Just boring. Service could be better, but definitely not returning for us.

Location is second to none, near to Tunjungan Plaza. Service is amazing, I loved the short hair lady with glasses at the recep. She is so warm and friendly. Indigo's staff is also lovely and attentive. Room is really nice. Big bathroom, hot showers. Good quality toilet paper (always a sign if the management cares). You can relax and trust everything works. Pool is big and the water is warm. But the immediate sides of the pool is a bit dirty. The chef here is superb. Their soto soups are out of this world. And almost everything on the breakfast buffet is so good. Except the coffee. That's pretty weak and not showing off true Indonesian coffee. The cocktails here are so good too, great taste and strong as well. Although I didn't like the one with creme de menthe. Heritage tour at 2pm and 4pm. Try to go. It's cool. .

I stayed one night at this hotel, and for 300k, I thought the room was spacious. However, the sheets were dull and stained, and the building seemed old and hadn't been renovated in a long time, with dust everywhere. The window was open, and the AC wasn't cold. The bathroom was tiny, and the balcony was dirty. They only provided one pair of slippers. The Wi-Fi for the TV kept cutting out. I got a room at the very end, and it was super noisy at night because it was near a storage area. When I went to check out, the door handle was stuck, and I couldn't close it. Luckily, I was checking out anyway.

Executive lounge/bar on 8th floor is a quite area with well appointed bar. The cool pool and jacuzzi on 22nd floor was special with a 270 degree vista over Surabaya city, extra gorgeous during sunset. Restaurant for breakfast had a delicious array of both western and Indonesian dishes in a colorful and fresh ambience. Special thanks to Alicia at reception whom communicated well and passed on the delicious gift for sevice recovery of our lift mishap. Just a slight improvement would be to improve the lighting in the car parking area as very dim and dreary at night.

Hotel staff not so warm and friendly. Some do not understand basic english. I was left standing for no reason. Only when i asked what am i waiting for, someone “jumped” in and served me. Room was ok. Comfy bed. I slept well. But towels are were old with frayed ends. Gross. Location is less than 10 mins to Tunjungan Plaza, a popular mall. Traffic is mad so crossing the road is challenging. No bottled water but rooms have pitchers to fill up water from Dispensers outside rooms. Good initiative.

I stayed one night at this hotel, and for 300k, I thought the room was spacious. However, the sheets were dull and stained, and the building seemed old and hadn't been renovated in a long time, with dust everywhere. The window was open, and the AC wasn't cold. The bathroom was tiny, and the balcony was dirty. They only provided one pair of slippers. The Wi-Fi for the TV kept cutting out. I got a room at the very end, and it was super noisy at night because it was near a storage area. When I went to check out, the door handle was stuck, and I couldn't close it. Luckily, I was checking out anyway.
