I was torn between this hotel and Capella when booking, but ultimately chose Raffles after seeing reviews that praised its stronger Nanyang (Southeast Asian) charm and newer facilities. The environment and amenities are excellent, truly beautiful, with peacocks and various birds roaming freely. However, the bedding isn't as comfortable as Capella's. The service, while mostly friendly, doesn't quite match the price. Some staff members seemed rather cold, perhaps due to my limited English, which is a communication issue, but it prevents me from giving a top rating. Everything else was fantastic, and the complimentary potato chips were especially delicious and a definite plus!

Was here for wife bday. Exceeded our expectations, with the price. Butler service. Very good. Villa. Very spacious. Peacocks. Very beautiful. Lobby a bit small. Breakfast experience, I’ll return again anytime. Dinner at the Tuscany restaurant, very good service.

Let's not even talk about value for money when staying here. The ambiance is top-notch, an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle, with a large courtyard. The hotel is teeming with greenery, and it's connected to a shopping complex – you'll get lost without a map if you wander aimlessly. The hotel itself has a historical charm that's quite fun to explore. We were given two complimentary Singapore Slings and got to experience the lively Long Bar, famously covered in peanut shells. The guest rooms are very high-tech, with all the lights, air conditioning, TV, and audio controlled smartly via a tablet. In terms of service, quite a few staff members speak Chinese, even though they told me no one did when I called to inquire. We encountered a very nice room manager who proactively introduced us to the hotel on our way, and even helped us book the bar – highly commendable. The butler service was available but slow. The reason for the 3-star rating is because they made a ridiculous error with our breakfast bill: they charged us for five breakfasts when we only had two adults and one child, simply because we moved tables. They were not proactive in resolving it, and I wasted at least 35 minutes of my life battling over something that could have been easily clarified by asking the staff who served us for two consecutive days. I didn't send an email to complain because most of the other hotel staff were incredibly polite and nice; they remembered our names from the moment we walked in and tried their best to meet all our needs. The cafe at the entrance is good, and the barista even passionately trashed the hotel's coffee, which was amusing! 🤣

This time I stayed at the Shangri-La, Banyan Tree, and Raffles. I have to say, Raffles was the best and most top-notch, both in terms of service and facilities. It was really nice, just a bit too famous. Every morning, even before 11:00 AM, many tourists would come to take photos, making it quite noisy. Other than that, there were no downsides. Also, hotel guests get priority entry to the Bar and don't need to queue! Right opposite is Raffles City, which is super convenient for shopping and dining. The Indonesian fried noodles for breakfast were absolutely delicious! I'll definitely stay at Raffles again if I have the chance!

A Wonderful Family Getaway at Equarius Villas Our stay at Equarius Villas was truly wonderful, especially as a family getaway. The villa was spacious, beautifully maintained, and spotlessly clean. Both the room and the private pool were huge, providing plenty of space to relax and enjoy quality time together in complete privacy. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we really appreciated the thoughtful selection of pillows, which allowed everyone to find their preferred level of comfort. The overall in-room experience felt luxurious yet cozy. The staff were outstanding — very helpful, professional, and impressively quick to respond whenever we needed assistance. A special mention goes to Kim, who was exceptionally attentive to our needs and promptly helped us resolve any issues. Her dedication and care truly made a difference and enhanced our stay. Overall, Equarius Villas offers an excellent blend of comfort, privacy, and top-notch service. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to families looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.

The room was great, and from the bedroom window, it seemed we overlooked an aquarium exhibit. The butler service was excellent. On our first night, the butler was incredibly helpful, giving us a thorough introduction to the room and even preparing the sofa bed downstairs. They also made sure to replenish our drinking water by the bedside each evening. All in all, it was a really pleasant stay.

Very relaxing. This is a very high class hotel, beautiful green and luxurious, very relaxing and amazing stay, away from the hustle and bustle of Singapore. We thoroughly enjoy the time and environment, the bed and pillows are nice and comfortable, the room is huge and clean, views are beautiful, full amenities provided, lots of facilities for us to enjoy, the surrounding and ambience are superb, the foods are fantastic and lots of variety to choose, the staff service is exemplary and attention to detail. Highly recommended.

The environment was okay, but the facilities weren't. I drank the room water and got an upset stomach, then the toilet clogged and took ages to flush. What a pain... The breakfast was awful, absolutely awful. I tried the avocado toast, and it was spicy, sour, salty, and smelled of stinky cheese. I also ordered laksa, and the seafood smelled off – no! It was a real disaster. The food, in particular, was truly catastrophic.

Check-in was smooth and quick. The room's temperature was already set to a comfortable level, and there was a personalized small gift waiting. The suite design is great, with a living room, dining table, and coffee table. The walk-in closet is spacious, and the bathroom layout is very practical. The bedding was comfortable and clean, making for a relaxing and pleasant stay. The semi-buffet breakfast had limited options, and the quality was just average. There was a fly buzzing around throughout the meal, and small insects hovering over the fruit, which definitely needs improvement. I recommend providing easily accessible charging stations in public areas for guests to use their laptops.
