I was torn between this hotel and Capella when booking, but ultimately chose Raffles after seeing reviews that praised its stronger Nanyang (Southeast Asian) charm and newer facilities. The environment and amenities are excellent, truly beautiful, with peacocks and various birds roaming freely. However, the bedding isn't as comfortable as Capella's. The service, while mostly friendly, doesn't quite match the price. Some staff members seemed rather cold, perhaps due to my limited English, which is a communication issue, but it prevents me from giving a top rating. Everything else was fantastic, and the complimentary potato chips were especially delicious and a definite plus!

Overall, Raffles Sentosa Singapore is excellent. The room and breakfast are both great. However, the check-in process was too slow and we waited for more than 2 hours, which needs improvement. Special praise to Fernando at the breakfast restaurant—very professional, kind and attentive.

Let's not even talk about value for money when staying here. The ambiance is top-notch, an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle, with a large courtyard. The hotel is teeming with greenery, and it's connected to a shopping complex – you'll get lost without a map if you wander aimlessly. The hotel itself has a historical charm that's quite fun to explore. We were given two complimentary Singapore Slings and got to experience the lively Long Bar, famously covered in peanut shells. The guest rooms are very high-tech, with all the lights, air conditioning, TV, and audio controlled smartly via a tablet. In terms of service, quite a few staff members speak Chinese, even though they told me no one did when I called to inquire. We encountered a very nice room manager who proactively introduced us to the hotel on our way, and even helped us book the bar – highly commendable. The butler service was available but slow. The reason for the 3-star rating is because they made a ridiculous error with our breakfast bill: they charged us for five breakfasts when we only had two adults and one child, simply because we moved tables. They were not proactive in resolving it, and I wasted at least 35 minutes of my life battling over something that could have been easily clarified by asking the staff who served us for two consecutive days. I didn't send an email to complain because most of the other hotel staff were incredibly polite and nice; they remembered our names from the moment we walked in and tried their best to meet all our needs. The cafe at the entrance is good, and the barista even passionately trashed the hotel's coffee, which was amusing! 🤣

📍Raffles Hotel Singapore🇸🇬 ˜☺˜ Named after Singapore's founder, Sir Stamford Raffles, this hotel has stood for 140 years. The original clock from its inception still graces a corner of the lobby, and the doormen are still Sikh guards from India. The building itself is a work of art. The moment you step inside, Singapore's heat instantly vanishes. Listening to the swaying fans, you finally arrive in the endless summer of Nanyang~ 🪭 ✈️ After a 6-hour flight, we kicked off our Singapore trip at this legendary century-old hotel. In the evening, we headed to the Long Bar for a hand-shaken Singapore Sling. So many people visit for this, it's truly become a cultural icon of Singapore 🥂. 🍒🍋🟩🍍 The drink has a sweet and sour fruity taste, with gin as its base, complemented by cherry brandy, grenadine, pineapple, and lemon… It's a well-balanced flavor, and you get to soak in the atmosphere of Raffles' headquarters. Whether it was the great company or just a truly delicious drink, that evening, with the swaying fans, a slight buzz, and peanut shells scattered all over the floor 🥜, we officially began our chill Nanyang 🏝️ holiday 🔛!

Our stay was truly exceptional! The hotel staff provided meticulous and thoughtful service, from check-in to fulfilling our daily needs. Everyone was patient and attentive, making us feel warm and secure throughout our stay. The environment was clean and comfortable. What truly surprised us was that the hotel, upon learning it was our birthday, not only prepared a beautiful birthday cake but also thoughtfully decorated the room with balloons. This attention to detail and heartwarming gesture made the experience incredibly memorable and full of love. It was an unforgettable stay!

The room was great, and from the bedroom window, it seemed we overlooked an aquarium exhibit. The butler service was excellent. On our first night, the butler was incredibly helpful, giving us a thorough introduction to the room and even preparing the sofa bed downstairs. They also made sure to replenish our drinking water by the bedside each evening. All in all, it was a really pleasant stay.

I love the personalized service from Capella. The staffs are very friendly and they made my stay filled with smiles. The room is very clean and equipped with everything I need. The most important item was a pair of kid slipper for my little kiddo. It was the personal thought that makes the whole stay enjoyable. I love the food served in restaurants, Perfect taste and portion. Activities planned at Capella are fun too! Great for family time! Overall, my family and I enjoyed every bit at Capella. Love to return again!

I was a bit disappointed with the hotel during this second visit in June 2026. There was a noisy construction site outside the window, and drilling went on for several hours in one of the neighboring rooms due to renovations. I really wanted to rest after my journey but couldn't, neither in the room nor on the terrace. They couldn't find another room for me, but they tried to smooth things over, which is a plus for the hotel. This time, there were no welcome fruits, no second evening housekeeping service, and no replenishment of amenities, tea bags, or candies. Breakfast was good. The view was excellent; I watched the tree show from my room. Overall, considering the room price, I had hoped for better. My first visit was more enjoyable. It's best to go to the pool right when it opens at 6 AM – there are minimal people then. However, it's heavily chlorinated; even after washing, the smell wouldn't come out of my swimsuit. It was convenient that my room was in the same tower, so I could go to the pool in my bathrobe and slippers. There's free bottled water at the pool and a restaurant for snacks.

The hotel has the direct connection to Garden by the bay! It is an excellent place to visit while your stay at this hotel.

The hotel's location is excellent, close to restaurants and attractions. The rooms are also very refined and beautiful, and the hotel itself is lovely. The free first round of the mini-bar was a nice touch. While the facilities are great, the service falls short. To enter and exit Sentosa Island, you need a QR code, which they won't provide unless you specifically ask for it. On the first night, after dinner, I wanted to relax by the outdoor pool downstairs, but was immediately shooed away. They said the pool is open from 7 AM to 7 PM, and even just sitting there without swimming wasn't allowed. They immediately flipped over all the chair cushions. There's also no rooftop bar where you can relax (if there is one and I don't know about it, that's even more the hotel's fault). The second major issue was insects. The hotel had so many bugs, and I was covered in bites. The public restrooms were full of insects; I got at least four bites every time I used one... and there were bugs all around the pool too... it was so frustrating, and these were large, red, very itchy bites. Third, we were originally booked for a standard room but got upgraded to one overlooking the hotel garden. The room size and facilities were the same. However, every morning at 6:00 AM, there was construction noise. There's a banquet hall or similar room undergoing renovations downstairs, with drilling noises even at 10:00 PM. Then, at 7:00 AM, people start tending to the garden, with the sound of leaf blowers and cleaning. So, I keep wondering if it would have been better if we hadn't been upgraded? Wouldn't looking out at the cable car have been more beautiful? This is the only time I've ever been upgraded and wasn't happy about it. The soundproofing between the hotel rooms is quite good, though. On the last night, there were many people and children in the room next door, but I couldn't hear them once the door was closed. Also, the hotel refunded the deposit quite quickly. That's about it.

The hotel is quiet and luxury. The room is comfortable and spacious. I booked two nights. The bedroom air conditioner of the first night is a bit hot due to the temperature rises at midnight. After reflecting the problem, the staff promptly changes another room to me. Especially thanks to staff Victor who assist us for the procedure. The swimming pool is beautiful. The breakfast is not the type of buffet with great variety of food but the quality is high especially the coffee. Restaurant staff very nice and pleasant. Also the hotel is very near to Universal studios and is very convenient to all eating restaurants. All and all, a very good stay here as vacation. Highly recommended.
