Fabulous hotel, good food, excellent staff, good location, lovely grounds, good value, would definitely recommend, especially if you wanted to take you dog with you as they are pet friendly.

A fantastic stay, the room was just what we were looking for, the pub and restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed here for one night whilst celebrating a birthday party at a nearby venue. Good that parking is free between Friday 5pm to Sunday evening but they should make that clearer when booking. Room was ok (we stayed in the club room) big space but lacked a safe, a chair and some more hanging space. Only had one hook to hang a light coat and two shirts. This was an issue because I stayed with my wife and we had brought a couple of dresses and a suit to wear which meant we had to lay them on the floor so they didnt crease. Iron and ironing board and hair dryer was included. Lack of a chair meant you had to use the bed to sit down if you wanted to, I tend to use a chair to tie my shoes when wearing a suit, so was a bit of an issue. Bathroom and room was clean, and did the job. The breakfast was a good buffet breakfast and everything tasted nice and fresh. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Would stay again despite the lack of a chair and safe.

What time is good: the room is clean, the bed is very comfortable, the breakfast is very good at your own expense, and the location is convenient near the train station. A lot of bad things: 1. Very noisy! Every night, I can immerse myself in hearing the people downstairs drinking and chatting and shooting the table until 12 o'clock in the evening! ! Close to the street, the car is also very noisy. Why can't the hotel give us a higher and quiet room without guests? I still wake up with earplugs at night. 2. The staff basically did not see it, and the staff was not there every time they passed the front desk. When I checked in, I didn't tell us where the breakfast was. 3. The first night was booked directly with the hotel, and the second night was Trip.com. When I checked in, my brother said that the room type for two nights was different, but they had no other guests staying the next day and should be able to leave us in the room for the first night. The next day when we went to confirm, they also said at first that we should be able to continue to live in today's room. The result made us wait for ten minutes and then said that we had to pay 20 pounds to continue to live in the previous room. 4. The hotel does not have a bathtub, the price is a four- or five-star hotel, the price is relatively low In short, I feel that the hotel cares more about running their restaurant and bar and adopts a waiver policy for the guest rooms.

The hotel and entrance are great, no complaints there. I’ve been a regular at another hotel within 5 miles of here, where the facilities are immaculate and the rooms are always meticulously clean. So I had high expectations. On walking into my room (250), it was freezing. I immediately turned on the electric radiator, but was woken up at 2am by the thermostat flicking on and off repeatedly. The digital screen kept lighting up and going off it felt like there was a rave in my room. Highly annoying and not conducive to a good night’s sleep. Before bed, I went for a shower and splashed foamy suds around as you do. After finishing, I was washing down the inside of the shower cubicle and noticed what I thought were leftover soap suds near the door handle. I went to wipe them off and I can tell you now, they were not soap suds. Absolutely disgusting. The previous occupant clearly lacked basic hygiene, and although it shouldn’t be expected, the cleaners really need to have a keener eye for detail. This sort of thing should never be missed. The hotel stay was a Christmas present along with concert tickets. All of which were prepaid. However when I checked in, I was made to give my bank card and £280 was taken from my account even though I said it was prepaid. This meant I had to ask for the original emails etc and as such was made aware of the cost of the gift and this should never have happened and put a significant dampener on our stay and also for my mother who purchased it for us. The member of staff on the front desk apologised those morning saying it should never have been the case and made sure the announcement t would be credited back to my bank but the was not the point, it should never have happened.
