The management here deserves the lowest possible rating. I arrived here on July 5 for a 4 night stay with my daughter and disable son. He requires a wheelchair for ambulating. My reservation was made well in advance. We were visiting family in the area and looked forward to outdoor pool time. On arrival there was a man at the entrance who I assumed would help with baggage. He disappeared into the building. My daughter and I helped my son into his wheelchair. The wheelchair was in the trunk and we had to remove the luggage to get it out. We made two trips into the lobby got to the registration desk. It was warm in the lobby and now saw fans at the desk. I inquired about what was going on. We were then told the ac was down and had been for three days. I told them I couldn’t stay here . They offered to cancel my reservation and handed me a paper with two hotels listed. One not a Hilton and in Elizabeth. The other in Parsippany at an Embassy Suites now a Hilton brand. I asked them to call and see if there was a handicapped accessible room. They said we can’t do that you go do it yourself. After protesting that was not good customer service the clerk helped me out. I also inquired why I had not been informed earlier about the lack of air conditioning. I had received a message that morning welcoming to the hotel as if nothing was amiss. The reservation got made we went on our way. Not one person offered to help us get the luggage and the wheelchair back to the car. To add insult to this about an hour after we left got an email informing me that the ac was down and offered to cancel our reservation. I am a Hilton honors member. When I travel I stay at Hilton. What a disappointment. Much of this could have been averted with proper management.The lovely Short Hills Hilton where I stayed and dine several year ago is not the same. Hilton you are not well represented by this facility.

Overall, this is a good choice. Clean rooms and professional staff. Location is a bit isolated without a car, but a vibrant street with lots of restaurants is a few minute drive away. The main downside was the pillows. They gave us four side-sleep pillows. Did not sleep well because they are too fluffy.

My son and his wife live right around the corner from this inn. We stayed over Mother's Day weekend when their house was full of visiting relatives. A wonderful experience! The inn is housed in a gracious home with interesting architectural details. Room was large and well appointed. We really enjoyed the continental breakfast (and the light, airy room in which it was served). Staff was very accommodating. Hope to visit again!

We visit our son in Chatham quite often and decided to stay at DeBary in this visit. It is the ideal location for summit and Chatham area. Beautiful Inn with a host that treats you like family. Breakfast every morning. Lots of common rooms for guests combine with privacy for you. Super close to Summit restaurants and shops. We will definitely be back !!

I have stayed at this location twice since March. I chose to stay there because of the location. The first time we were given a room with incomplete renovations. I couldn't sleep, and didn't want to disturb my husband. There was a sofa there, and I could have sat up to read, but there was a large empty space where there should have been an end table and a lamp. We could not get a cup of coffee in the morning due to the machine malfunctioning, Ok, not the best, not the worst. The second time (checked out yesterday) was a horror show. I got on the elevator to go to the breakfast room. I waited and waited, elevator did nothing. I walked down the one flight to the breakfast room. Ok, not that big a deal. However, when I went to leave with my suitcase the elevator STILL did not work. I waited and waited again. I had to be at an appointment. So, with a bad knee I had to carry my bag down 3 flights of stairs. I was very upset, and made it clear at the reception. The young woman at the desk saw fit to help somebody who got there before me. As we were speaking the elevator arrived on the first floor. Her response was ”See, it's working, you just needed to be patient:” She took my bag and as she was walking away I heard her say very audibly ”Jesus Christ!” When I returned for my bag, I had calmed down and wanted to be civil with this young woman. I asked for my bag. She did not ask my name and she brought out the wrong one. She asked me if I was someone by another name. I said no, she then proceeded to ask if it was a Vera Bradley bag. I said no, described my bag, and gave her my name. I went to the edge of the room and pointed out my bag, saying ”it's right there”. She then became very sarcastic, saying well ”that was why I was asking, otherwise how would I know?”. I was planning to thank her, but before I could she said ”you're welcome” very sarcastically” and literally slammed the door to the room (she was inside) on me. Never again. Maybe this young woman should learn empathy, and customer service skill training is in order. Never again. The office where I had my appointment told me that they've received nothing but complaints about this over-priced hotel.
