This is an experience!!! The room was perfect and large and comfortable. We did animal view room with a great Koala just feet from us. So cool. The tour of the sanctuary was so fun and the perfect length in time. Having continual access to the zoo was great and we did sections a little at a time as we were coming and going. The breakfast was really nice for an included breakfast. The views are excellent. Utilizing the bus and ferry to go back and forth to Sydney was simple and easy. I don't know if we will make it back to Sydney, but if we do, we will absolutely be staying here again.

Amazing Experience from entering the Zoo entrance near the Retreat. Staff were helpful in collecting our luggage from the car, booking us in and providing information re available Tours and Dinner booking. Australian Animal Room was lovely with views also over the City, Harbour and Bridge which was lit up later in the night due to VIVID. Dinner was really lovely and the Buffet Breakfast was probably the best we have ever experienced providing so much variety in catering for different tastes and Nationalities.

I stayed at the Admiral for two nights in February, The Admiral is situated in Mosman – an ideal location for transport (Ferry, Bus, Taxi) links to both the city and the Northern Beaches. Check-in was welcoming and professional, and I was shown to the Telopea Suite – a Heritage Room with a Balcony, with roomy well-appointed ensuite with both free-standing bath and large double shower. The room has all the usual amenities one has come to expect but it became apparent that every single detail was carefully considered, and priority given to Australian products. The bed looked inviting …but words cannot describe its comfort …. and the pillows …. never in a hotel have I experienced pillows that really were like sleeping on a cloud. The breakfast menu covered several dietary options, served indoors or out … freshly prepared to order by helpful and smiling staff. During the day grazing plates of local meats, cheeses and chutneys are available … beautifully presented and very memorable. Restaurants are within walking distance and it isn’t far to the Quay for the ferry and a short, but always memorable ride into the city. I note that one reviewer was unhappy with the location. I am a very light sleeper but was not disturbed by noise from any direction – clever windows! Would I recommend a stay at the Admiral. Absolutely!

It is a great hotel with friendly and helpful staff and fresh modern decor and facilities. We stayed a variety of nights within February, as we were staying near my daughter who lives in Mosman and then we kept travelling out of the city and back. We stayed in 3 different rooms overall, and 5 nights in total. I agree with the 'rooms too small/nowhere to put a suitcase' They are not designed to be functional for anything other than sleep. Nowhere to unpack clothes- the drawers capacity was reduced as one had a safe, another fixed tray for glasses. Yes, breakfast was tasty and well prepared, but after a couple of days both my husband and myself tired of the options and felt it was overly limited, and the fixed menu approach was a further constraint. Staff are only around from 7.30 am-10 pm which makes some service more of a challenge than ideal. The beds are very big and very comfortable indeed. Finally- just a short walk down to the lovely northern beaches. (but a steep walk back!)
