Top 10 Crusinallo Hotels

We visited villa Crespi for our anniversary. A wonderful retreat in a spectacular location. Especially in fall. Overall experience was great. We chose it for dining at Cannavacciuolo's renowned restaurant. Some disappointing details in both the room cleanliness and the restaurant plating, considering the very high expectations. Otherwise a top destination by any standard worldwide

Once we arrived, we felt like we were treated as royalty they went over and above to meet all our needs. The room beautiful and the view on the balcony were spectacular overlooking the lake and the Islands. The small town Stresa next to the hotel was not only beautiful the people are so friendly and welcoming. We cannot wait to go back.

Breakfast is too good! The train station walks 300 meters. Opposite the lake can take a boat. Bathroom accessories are exquisite! Staff is very friendly and introduces many attractions! The lake room is great

The hotel was partly renovated in the hall area in a decorative way... but only there. Fortunately, we were upgraded free at the arrival. From the corridor to the first floor there was a dust/closed smell, as well as a snake, sweet, clear sign of lack of maintenance and care. The room was then unclean (founded hairs and their hairs in places quite in view), with old furniture and bathroom (toilet dancing table, broken furniture, cup of sweat toilet). The floor was newly invoiced but probably very approximately mounted (the fake parquet had areas with “bubbles” of air) and there were electrical channels for the fire-fighting installation assembled to the fire-fighting station. The room was very comfortable and the room was very comfortable and the room was very comfortable. It is a pity, given the potential of the structure (grande, in free style and with a view of the wonderful lake): a example has been made to let such a place go. Define it 4 stars is very similar to a round. Only positive aspects: view of the lake and relatively low price (but is it really a low price, given the very low quality?)

Excellent position

We stayed at Hotel Splendid for 2 nights while enjoying Lake Maggiore, we had wonderful weather. This Hotel is beautiful, quite grand but in a friendly way, the interiors are classic light and airy make the most of stunning views across the lake. The reception team are very welcoming and friendly and we were greeted like old friends. They very simply and efficiently organised a private water taxi for us to tour the lake and the islands with a lovely skipper who dropped us off and picked us up as we wished. It saved so much queuing on the Islands and we could follow our own timetable. It cost €100 for the both of us and was worth it. We had dinner one night on the terrace over looking the lake which was fabulous. Beautifully presented melon and their local cured ham which was sweet and delicious. The lamb was cooked to perfection and my husband’s perch fresh and tasty. The restaurant team were both efficient but fun too. A lovely evening. Our room was one of their corner suites which was roomy, light with two balconies on the 5th floor so again wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. It had everything we needed including a welcome bottle of Prosecco. The only hiccup was a small bathroom incident when I got stuck in the toilet! The sliding doors that separated it from the main bathroom got jammed and there I was. Fortunately there was a phone on the wall so I tried enough numbers to finally attract the attention of reception who responded immediately and I was released. This clearly needs looking at and was not fixed during our stay but the Hotel from management down were apologetic, understanding and could not have done more apart from take the bathroom apart which I’m sure they will do now we have left. This was a wonderful stay in a beautiful place inside a charming and well run Hotel. Swimming in the lake was sublime, warm, calm with sun beds a few steps away from the water. If you book a suite the use of the Spa is included however at this time of year the lake is perfect plus there is an outdoor pool. Thank you Hotel Splendid.

We had a triple corner room (with 2 balconies) which was very spacious compared to other hotels we've stayed in,bathroom had a bath and separate walk in shower. Staff all very helpful and friendly with good English. Ample selection at buffet breakfast, continental and bacon and scrambled egg available. Very clean in all areas. Great location, across from the lake, near the ferry station, lots of restaurants and little shops nearby. Double glazing kept the room quiet from street sounds. Others have commented on lack of soundproofing but we had no problem, once or twice heard next doors shower running but only when in our bathroom. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again if I return to Lago Maggiore. We were in room 104, in the Stresa part of the hotel.
