"We enjoyed our stay at Eurostars Leon. The room is great - comfortable bed, multi-layered curtains & clean-spacious bathroom. El corte Ingles is right around the corner & so is a Lefties store & Cortefiel store. Hotel is not far from the old town area, at walking a distance..takes about 15 mins. There also are a few tiny coffee shops / breakfast places next to the hotel for a quick bite. The staff is extremely helpful & go out of the way to address guests' queries & concerns. For instance the mini bar refrigerator was not working in our room and it was changed within 10 mins (this was during the night and we weren't very hopeful to be honest). Also the ladies at the reception proactively offered to help us with reservation at restaurants given the language barrier. Luckily we found a free parking spot around the hotel - ask the hotel staff for guidance. Otherwise they do offer parking at garage at an additional cost. Also when arriving / checking in at the hotel, there is a hotel parking spot available on the main road. This spot is right outside the hotel which is free for 15 mins. Minor issues faced - The wifi keeps getting disconnected every few minutes & you need to rejoin the network / reconnect. Also there is just one elevator & sometimes it is quite a wait, especially during peak hours (Breakfast & during check out)."
"We chose this hotel because access from the highway seemed quite easy, and it was - although we did have to pay attention to the numerous 'one-way street' signs which another reviewer mentioned. There is a small area by the entrance for parking while you are checking in. After checking in, we used their (pay) parking lot, which worked well although you must be alert to find the entrance. This hotel is reasonably close to the cathedral/old town, about 1.3 km. It took us about 20 or 25 minutes to walk to the cathedral from here, through an interesting part of Leon. The immediate area around the hotel is quite quiet, although there are plenty of businesses close by plus the nearby large department store. Rooms are small, but were well-furnished, clean, and functional. If I remember correctly, there was only one elevator, so it was often quicker to take the stairs. Also, finding the elevator out of the basement parking area too a bit of doing. We had the buffet breakfast in the morning, and it was excellent. Front-desk staff were friendly, efficient and spoke excellent English. Overall, a few small nitpicks, but it is a good hotel and I would stay here again."
"Great place to treat yourself after many days walking on the Camino. A leisurely 15 min stroll to the old city and the Cathedral. Room was large, bed comfy and pillows wonderful (not those single large pillows that seem to be everywhere else here in Spain). Reception desk very helpful, lots of amenities. Room was very quiet. The only odd thing about it is the "heated" towel rack in the bathroom. It isn't heated, not even hooked up. We asked about this at the front desk - the response was that none of the heated towel racks were ... heated. Apparently it just looks that way. For peregrinos hoping to dry clothing on the rack this is a challenge. Now, the receptionist offered us a space heater in lieu of this problem. Very sweet! But, why have a heated towel rack on the wall when it is never going to function in that manner? It was this oddity that kept my rating at 4 vs 5 stars. "
