Reviews From Real Travelers
The place is nice, staff great. Unfortunately I can not split the stars so please read this. The one star is just and only for the Spa, and it's management. Today I booked a duo scrub to do something nice with my daughter. On the website it is written: Scrub, cream, and head massage for 2 people.50 minutes, 98 euro. This is misleading and totally unfair for the client. We get in and we have 1 masseuse for 2 people. So technically I am paying 49 euro each for 25 (it was 20 at the end) minutes, and not for 50 minutes. Again: THIS is not specified on the website. We are sitting on no bed, just some estethician chairs which put your head lower than your body, totally uncomfortable. Totally low standards. We get scrub on 4 parts of our body: lower legs, front arms, beginning of your back and belly. And we are asked to turn. So only front Then we shower, and with the swimming suits on and with the face towel we get (small) it's totally impossible to get the scrub out. I remove my swimming suit, and I ask for a shower towel, while I am trying butt naked to climb on the chair again. Then comes the cream on the same 4 spots. At my question : why don't we get cream on hands and feet, she says that: The cream makes the feet sliding and the client could fall (!!) And: Masseuse has a phobia touching feet. (Really??? Who hired you?and why don't you do facials then?). Last is the head massage of 5 minutes which it hurts because the amount of oil is non existent. We leave and we paid 98 euro for half a treatment, a partial scrub, a partial cream, dry hands, feet, and lower back, and scrub all over places that I can't name. Masseuse pretends not to see my disappointment or she doesn't care That's a rip off. Nowhere on the website are these things mentioned and we were not informed upfront that the treatment would be only for 4 parts of the body and the masseuse was phobic. I didn't get the choice to stand up and leave, instead of being robbed off I go to complain to reception and the EXCEPTIONAL Lucy (excellent customer care) talks with the spa manager. Obviously the management hired the phobic masseuse so that's the standard. Amateur hour I don't get any excuses, and only 23 euro off the bill. Poor Lucy is left to represent the Sanadome and the shabby operation of a cheap and amateur spa management. She offers me drinks. I appreciate it. I would go back to the hotel and to the thermae, however I won't book a treatment ever again. And so should you do as well! Note for Sanadome management: This kind of service which is obviously incompetently managed from a third part, lowers your standards and your stars. Thank you Lucy, you are really what customer care is about

Overall very good experience , Food and drinks are at The top Level , very friendly personal. For the rooms - they need some touching up, especially the bathroom, the bath insulation is slightly discolored to black. But it’s a small thing for me, more as kind note for the hotel . Kind regards, Kris

Traveling with members of the extended family, to Wageningen, very kind, and lived in the conference center that I lived 18 years ago, more cordial. The facilities are still perfect, the elevator has two doors, one above the other. The scenery outside is more beautiful, because the green is more lush. Wageningen is still a quiet city, clean and transparent, quiet and intoxicated. By the way, the standard room for living is not much more expensive than the standard room, but there is a small living room with a writing desk, which is very suitable for me~ people who need to work overtime at night, do not affect the aunt who sleeps in the same room.

Good hotel in the centre of Wageningen. Nice to be able to walk around in the city centre. Clean and simple room (not too much decoration/ amenities). Maybe they can include the city tax in the prepaid price, so you do not have to pay it separately at arrival.

I spent a Sunday and Monday night there; paid by my host (the university). Great choice on their part. The room was well appointed except for the somewhat small safe which would not accommodate my laptop. That said, the place is quite safe (access to the guest rooms via elevator that requires guest access card), so I just left it in the open. There's a coffee machine in the room and you can get extra capsules from the front-desk if need be. Toilet and shower are separate but, yes, as JapanGirl has mentioned, if you are not alone, you need to feel quite comfortable with your partner ... Wifi is stable and pretty fast, also on the ground floor/brekkie area, tv has some English language channels. Brekkie is fabulous and plenty. The ground floor is separated in about half a dozen areas and you can have brekkie in an ambiance of your choice. I had a colleague over for an hour to discuss one of her projects and ordered a cappuccino for her. When I wanted to pay for it, I was told that was fine. Everyone on the staff is super-nice and helpful. Good vibes. Really quite liked the place.

This hotel is definitely worth a visit! Very kind personnel. Location is great and the rooms large, clean and equipped with all you need to spend a few days without missing your home. There are different options to have either lunch or dinner (yes, different restaurants that are part of the hotel), all serving very good food. Extremely friendly waiters/waitresses and breakfast was also above the average one you can find in Europe and superb compared to most hotels in the UK (for comparable price, of course). Price is very reasonable too, so I highly recommend this hotel to anyone spending some time at Nijmegen or around (is very close to train station too). Oh, just another point is that the music they play is great too!

Zowiezo is Duiven erg duur. Maar dan verwacht ik wel iets anders!!!

The hotel room is large and comfortable. The hotel's restaurant is rich in dishes and is very close to Arnhem Railway Station, which is very convenient.

The sports theme is everywhere in this hotel and it's great to see, a nice change from all the anonymous hotels out there. The room was comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was fantastic and I would strongly recommend it if you're staying here, though there is a bit of a walk from the rooms to the restaurant. Parking very close to the hotel entrance outside was free, with plenty of space. The hotel appears to be in a calm and beautiful area. Unfortunately, the booked rooms did not match what we received when we arrived. Even though a suite was included in the booking - and pre-paid for - we only received normal twin rooms. Upon raising this with the front desk and asking for a partial refund they promised to get back to me via e-mail, which they never did. I raised the issue with the booking agent who also contacted the property, but they refused to refund the partial cost. I'm afraid this cast a shadow on an otherwise pleasant stay and I'm upset that the hotel was not be willing to compensate for their mistake, even just the cost difference.

In the holiday period, few booking possibilities in Veluwe region. This is the way we went out in Veluwezoom and thus at Hotel Papendal. ( 4 nights) They are known as the place for the athletes. They do not use the hotel, but by people around the sport. The hotel is very comfortable and the hotel is very comfortable. Music may be a little more calm, is on the dominant / busy side. Environment has many options: castle Doorwerth, Wodanseiken is a walk certainly recommended. (see photo with a herd you look at)

We stayed here for four nights combining bicycle touring and seeing friends. The hotel has a secure place to leave bicycles and plenty to borrow too. It's a short cycle from Arnhem (hilly for the Netherlands and a short section is in the dark forest with no street lighting). It's a short cycle to Hoge Veluwe and Veluwezoom national parks which are excellent for cycling and hiking. There are hikes in the forest the hotel lies in, and it is a beautiful setting. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and really helpful with practical arrangements. Our room (8) was clean and comfortable and very spacious with a lovely view of the garden. The bathroom was in the room (toilet separate). Dinner is amazing here - we had the La Belle Source menu twice and the brassiere once. They catered well for vegetarians and the matching wines were well chosen by a friendly and experienced sommelier. The bar is well stocked and reasonably priced. Breakfast was ok - it's all buffet and it huge choice is a little underwhelming after such good dinners and got very busy at times. This was the only disappointment we had with this lovely hotel. Overall a great stay, good value for money and we would highly recommend it to others.

We came here for an offsite event but this is a location I’d happily bring my family. Beautifully appointed and maintained. We had dinner and paired wines - also really nice. Breakfast had options at the level of an average European 5 star hotel incl. champagne (or some other sparkling wine - I didn’t manage to check unfortunately as it was a full working day ahead). Business Lunch was a lot of food but really well prepared. Bedrooms had drinks, snacks and the bathroom was really nicely done. I stayed in the annexe building but did not have the complaints some of the others had …quite the contrary! My only complaint was that the air conditioner stopped working middle of the night - still don’t know if it was a setting or just a machine that needs repair! All in all, a great experience and a much better bet than staying in Arnhem city.
