Lovely hotel and had the potential to be stunning, but was just a little tired and unkempt. Staff were very friendly. Restaurant staff were a little over worked in the evening, so could of done with another set of hands. Fantastic food and breakfast. Room was generous in size, but just a little tired and needed a revamp. Cannot fault the cleanliness of the room, though bed was a little harder than I’m used to. Courtyards were lovely, though a little unkempt. Great location being only a couple of minutes walk from the main square, with lots of nice bars, historical buildings and plenty of shops, should you to buy anything. Secure car park right opposite the entrance to the hotel for overnight parking.

Staying for the second time, it was still so quiet, sitting in the bar for a drink is not bad

A McGallery Collection medium-sized property with an unsurpassed de rigeuer location for serious sightseeing and shopping travellers. Lit up in pink at night, it is an impressive historic structure overlooking Darcy Square/Garden conveniently walking distance to the prime tourist spots of old Dijon: the Cathedral, the Ducal Ducal Palace/Musee de Beaux Arts, Place de la Liberation, and feeding spots ranging from the Les Halles Dijon to the Michelin-starred L’Asperule. Diagonally across are the city tramway rails with a fortuitous station stop. Crossing the tram railway takes you to the Rue de la Liberte through the landmark Porte Guillaume (William Gate), which is the main sightseeing and shopping drag of Dijon’s old city center packed with period buildings. Equally fascinating side streets packed with historic structures and sites feed off this main street. The hotel itself has smallish rooms along dark hallways, with views of Darcy Square, its garden or adjacent buildings and furnished in spare modernist style with oversized modernist art copies and see-through bathrooms. Reception staff are charming but unexceptional. You basically take care of yourself here. The Bar is a very popular post-sightseeing relaxation spot with great cocktails and friendly wait staff, with occasional small live jazz entertainment at night.

Overnight stop on the way back from Antibes. Even at a late hour the staff could not have been more welcoming. Parking is super easy - drive up to the door and they park it for you! Having taken the luggage to our room they then encouraged us with a members drink at the bar - much appreciated the olives et al. Breakfast is back up to Accor standards - even the gluten free option is carefully thought out 🙏. Our corner room was spotless, well stocked with courtesy drinks and fab balcony view. We will be back for longer next time.

The hotel is located in the old town of Dijon, very close to Galeries Lafayette. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are large. The hotel restaurant is 2 stars in Michelin, a small dozen tables. Very sorry that I didn't book in advance and missed it. However, there are many restaurants within a minute's walk around. Special snails and red wine beef face meat are worth trying. mustard roast chicken is especially recommended.

Good location and very convenient. I was surprised that the room was large. You will feel very at home with a very friendly and friendly atmosphere. We think that it is recommended hotel for business trip.

We really liked the hotel. Spotless, friendly and helpful staff, a quiet and spacious room, good bathroom, central location, reasonable price, in a beautiful town with very good good. Breakfast was fine; but maybe add scrambled eggs to the menu?

Comfortable, well appointed and clean room in a great location close to the old city. Good value for money. Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay for a visit to Dijon

When looking for a hotel with EV charging, it is pretty much pot luck isn’t it? Both Booking.com and TA can’t tell us the type of charger - fast, slow, Tesla etc. I urge these agencies to take their travellers into the 21 century and provide these filters. This hotel surprised the life out of me. Not only were there a bank of fast chargers in the garage, but the premium for usage was very reasonable. Only problem, as always, was a Belgium Q8 parked in charging bay with a thundering V8 diesel engine - when can we educate these people? Charging for my I-Pace was a doddle. The rooms are well appointed and have all that you could want and the bar is well stocked and staff are multi-lingual. We eat out in a favourite restaurant and will most certainly put this on our itinerary for our regular Provence trips.

Really nice, clean hotel with everything one needs. Breakfast was tasty too. Its location is near the Divia tramline with direct access to the city centre, just 1 stop away. We came by car, had a perfect parking space in the garage (15.- € per day). We really recommend this hotel if you stay in the city and will come by car...

We checked in yesterday (02 Jan 2024) for 2 nights stay. The hotel seems to be fanciful but breakfast is priced very expensively at 21€. We wanted to try this new concept of the Accor group anyway so why not? The room was in general clean but to my horror, upon lifting up the toilet bowl cover, I was greeted with a toilet bowl full of yellowish piss that had not been flushed away. That meant that the toilet was never ever cleaned before releasing for next guest.. or the housekeeping took a convenient piss before leaving and forgetting to flush. Anyway, it could be a genuine mistake so let's not make a fuss at this moment. But I was disappointed to see that there was hardly any amenities in the room. No tea or coffee bags with water boiler. There was only a packet of drinking water in the minibar. It turned out that the water was not even replenished the next day. What was funny: there is a sticker on the minibar door that indicates vending machine available on ground floor. But it could not be found. When we asked the receptionist, we were told that the vending machine is still yet to be installed ??!?!? And suggested to us to go to their restaurant bar to order water or drinks instead. No way ! I am not going to pay for pricey drinking water or tea from their restaurant. Not mentioning that the service charge we will have to pay for getting drinking water there. For a hotel at this tariff, I expected at least to have the basic water, teabags and coffee bags available and replenished! At least most of the basic hotels in France offer this. Some hotels would even offered a coffee machine with capsules. It makes us started to look around the room with a more critical eye. Indeed not only drinking water and basic beverages are not offered. There was only a small bar of handsoap and a miserable piece of body soap placed in the shower to be shared by two occupants of the room. Not only that, the next day after housekeeping, the body soap was not replenished at all. We came back into the room to see the previous bar of soap lying there miserably. This is not what we expected from an Accor hotel which is usually a brand we feel confident in. Mama Shelter tries to be hip and fanciful in their loud decor but in real fact is lacking in hospitality by trying their best to save up whatever they can from the basic necessities (soap, drinking water...) Definitely I will not ever stay in this chain ever again. I sincerely hope Accor group will review and see if it fits their usual standards, because I surely don't think so.

We chose the hotel because it is located very near to the old town. It is a popular place with young people, probably because it has a rather quirky name and decor, which also made it quite noisy at times. large restaurant is convenient and several pin ball machines and table football added to the full entertainment. Like many hotels, they do not promote simpler breakfast rahter than the larger selections of buffet breakfasts. The large bath tub rather than a proper shower facilities is rather odd and can be risky to some.Q

This hotel is very centrally located in Djon ,close to all amenities and within walking distance of the old town The majority of bedrooms overlook a private central courtyard belonging to the hotel and this provides secure parking for guests The building it's self is traditional French build ( I read somewhere it was originally a staging post ) Very beautiful and retains lots of its original features The hotel is very clean and comfortable and the bedrooms are spacious ,warm and inviting Bed linens are spotless Continental breakfast is available and offers a excellent variety of eats to set you up for the day ahead Staff were very friendly and helpful The hotel has a lift to reach all floors and is dog friendly for a small nightly additional charge Djon it's self is a very attractive well maintained town , well worth a visit if travelling through france and you will find a very comfortable stay at this lovely hotel if required

Booked as part of a road trip around France on first covid escape. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the lovely centre of Dijon. Hoped to be able to park in the hotel, but that was full so used a nearby public space. Staff very welcoming, and room was lovely with exposed timbers and p;enty of space. After an enjoyable evening in town we returned to bed, but were woken in the early hours by revellers from a nearby nightclub. Not much sleep after that as the room overlooked a street that seemed to be getting used by anything and everything that could make a noise in Dijon that night...drunks, buses, road sweepers, etc etc Otherwise. Great!
