I came here with friends for a couples evening towards the end of a night out in Cambridge and we used the ground floor bar at the hotel. The ground floor bar is cozy with open and closed seating arrangements. you even sit an alcove with your other half to enjoy a drink. Later on, we got to enjoy a drink in a library of the hotel, which has a warm environment. The bar is an extensive cocktail and spirit menu and a good list of fine wines. There is even a wine cellar next to the bar We were served by the bar staff, Andy and Luca, who both did nice job at serving us drinks and looking after everyone. Both friendly and very approachable. Though I have not tried staying at this hotel or tried restaurant yet. But I get the impression from the decor of the hotel that you are likely to have a very comfortable stay.

Spent a lovely week at the Hotel du vin. Our room was clean and cozy, food was delicious and staff was very friendly, ready to fulfill every request we had. The bar was so good that most of the nights we preferred staying at the hotel rather than going out. Definitely coming back soon

This hotel was beautiful. Just off the A14 and down a long drive you arrive at this lovely setting with out buildings and an area for wedding parties. Plenty of parking all close to the entrance. On arrival we were greeted and given our room key. We were situated in an outbuilding (Room 404) next to the spa. It seemed this building only had 2 rooms, so we were happy with this. The room was upstairs and had windows in the ceiling to bring in good light. The room was spacious with a nice size bathroom and walk in shower. No complaints about the room at all. I was awoken at 2am but the other room occupants giggling when they came 3 / 4 through the main door. This will happen in any hotel, so this is not a complaint and my wife was not woken. It only lasted 15 seconds until they got in their room. We made good use of the spa facilities using both the Swimming Pool and Jacuzzi. They were empty when we were there, so it was nice, quiet, and great to relax. There are also Steam Rooms, Sauna, and a Gym to use. All looked quite quiet when we were there. There are sunbeds around the pool if you wish to relax and stare into the countryside. Although we didn’t have an evening meal at the hotel, we did have breakfast. Service was good and there was a wide variety of choices. Hot breakfast was cooked to order and service was with a smile. We paid nearly £200 for our visit but enjoyed our stay and it was worth the money.

On arrival we were greeted by a pleasant reception staff. We were extremely underwhelmed by our room, for the price that we paid - £188.00 for room only. It was certainly not worth it. We were hoping for some nice toiletries but only had a tiny bar of soap and a small pot of body lotion. The room itself wasn't in the best condition, the carpet was very warn and there was countless spiderwebs, we had to remove 5 spiders before we got into bed. We had a slight panic when we arrived and noticed that there was a wedding, we expected it to be really loud until the early hours but we couldn't actually hear them at all - which was a relief. Until 1:30am when the staff decided it was a good time to take the bins out... dragging them across the gravel outside our window. It's an old building so there's also lots of creaks and movement through the night, even our door was rattling with the wind. The spa facilities were lovely, and it was great that we could access these before and after check in/check out - one has to wonder if the cost reflects the use of the spa as opposed to the room itself. If you aren't going to use the facilities, it's not worth the cost. Breakfast was lovely - £30.00 for 2 people, expensive but i think it was worth it. Cooked breakfast was fast and really nice. The continental buffet was well thought out with lots of options to choose from and tasty pastries - not sure the Indie music playlist was quite appropriate to the setting though! I wasn't expecting to sit in a spa hotel listening to Blink 182 and My Chemical Romance whilst i had my brekkie.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We added on breakfast which was well worth the price. Everything was fresh and filling. We also left our luggage on the day of checkout. Overall good experience and I would be to stay again and recommend.

Very good hotel, near the University of Cambridge, within walking distance to King's College and Trinity College. The breakfast is also great. There is also Chinese service at the front desk, which is very convenient.

We had the most lovely stay at the University Arms in Cambridge. The staff was so friendly and accommodating and the hotel smelled amazing. The rooms were quite spacious and the beds were very comfortable! The bartenders in the lounge area were exceptionally kind and made delicious cocktails! I especially want to highlight the restaurant manager, Francesco. He was extremely gracious, welcoming, and professional and made our stay at the University Arms that much more wonderful. We will definitely stay here again!

Nice hotel, very good location. Just a short walking distance from the city center. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The building is well decorated. I liked the bar and the restaurant. It was a comfortable stay. The staff was very good, very helpfull especially Ms Fidan at the reception. She was very polite, kind and considerate. This was my first visit to Cambridge. She gave me precious hints and tips which helped me enjoy the city much more.

Standard old English hotel, the room is quite big, all facilities are good, the location is very close to the city center, eating around is very convenient, the hotel restaurant is very lively at night, drinking and singing and dancing. Breakfast was very good.

Great location, clean rooms, excellent service. The only downside was that the lifts were out of service. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Cambridge.

Opposite Cambridge Railway Station, very good location, only five minutes walk away. Downstairs there are many restaurants and facilities are complete. The internal environment of the hotel is very good, the toiletries are complete, and the cleaning is very clean, highly recommended!

The room is very nice, clean, well-equipped, very close to the train station, the staff is very friendly, and the public space is also good! The breakfast is quite satisfactory, but there is a lot of dining space. Overall a great experience!

This is my second stay at the Cambridge Belfry and I am here for 3 nights. I was apprehensive about returning, given the nature of the reviews but I have to say - they do seem harsh! And I consider myself hard to please. On arrival I was informed that a generator had broken and thus my original, booked room was unavailable. The hotel went above and beyond, and have allocated me a penthouse suite. This is something I would never be able to afford normally and it’s just lovely. So thank you 🙏🏻 I was disappointed to see the pool/sauna/steam was unavailable for use on the 7th. I’m hopeful this is a one evening thing as it’s one of the main reasons I booked the hotel, but it seems they are doing maintenance that has been highlighted as an issue so you can’t have it both ways! Special thanks to the receptionist who dealt with my silly questions over the water in the mini fridge (you’ll know who you are!) and the waitress who took my room service order without laughing at me apologising for not coming to the restaurant. Both lovely. Some of the staff I’ve found are just plain miserable, which is a shame. Especially on reception. Only criticism. No orange juice for breakfast, and I do like a glass of orange juice in the morning. And the posh Nespresso machine in the room, I know it’s not exactly a problem to have but you’ve got to put some instructions with it. Have given up with the thing! I’ll be a returning guest. We stayed here for one night and had the most incredible and relaxing time. The grounds are beauitful and there is plenty of space to explore and relax. We made full use of the spa alongside the deck chairs outside where we drank beers from the spa overlooking the lake in the beautiful sunshine. We both had seperate treatments (a full body expfoliation and a deep tissue massage) which we both thoroughly enjoyed. The dinner was absolutely delicious and the breakfast in the morning had a good variety to choose from. Whilst the hotel is relaxing enough to never want to leave, it is also in a good location with a Morrisons a short walk away should you need some extra supplies. I have knocked a star off due to a nail being found in our room upon arrival and due to us not being informed about an aqua class taking part in the pool during our stay, however these were minor factors and I would highly recommend a stay here.
