"Very good, the service is also very good, the environment is also very good, the Flip is also very good, the room is very large, and it feels very good, and will stay here later. We 'll introduce our friends later."
"Good, comfortable, breakfast is delicious, cost-effective, five-star praise. It is much better than the same price hotel. There are drinks and coffee in the lobby, and the candy is also very good."
"The hotel is just opposite Mud Island Park. It is clean. The room is small. The bathroom is especially small. The parking is convenient. The standard American breakfast is not good. It is not far from Bill Street. You can walk on foot."

"I made reservations at the hotel in Feb 2020 to attend a sporting event in Oct 2020. Both the sporting event and my airline flight were cancelled due to Covid 19. I cancelled the reservation in Sep 2020. When I did not receive a timely refund, I contacted the sales director. I was told that I would only receive a future credit, which has no value to me. A friend of mine also made reservations for this trip, and later cancelled. He dealt with the same sales director, and he received a full refund. When I asked the sales director (twice) about this inconsistency, I never received a reply."
"This place was a breathtaking blessing for us on a rather wild roadtrip. Rocky and ALL of his staff were absolute aces. Each person was incredibly helpful, kind, and diligent in their work at this beautiful hotel in downtown Memphis. Wouldn't stay anywhere else!! It was more than accommodating with valet, safety, dining suggestions, and overall hospitality. Thanks again yall!! Aimee & Benny"
"I don't know how Rocky, the director of guest services, does it, but he created a fabulous, gay-friendly, crew who were so helpful in both matters to do with the hotel, and in recommendations in the city. In addition, the room cleaning staff were both friendly and efficient, without any passive aggressive attitude - just great people to have look after you. Altogether a great experience."

"Now that the major hotel chains are going all in on the boutique hotel business model you can expect that the the unique, curated soul of the boutique concept will become watered down to the extent that the name will become meaningless. Central Station is definitely an exception to this dire prediction though. Although it is part of the Hilton "Curio Collection" this hotel is very specific to Memphis (meaning it could not exist anywhere else) and the concept is well executed. Memphis music is the theme in this converted train station (I think it still operates as an active train station). There's a DJ in the lobby lounge playing only tunes with a Memphis connection. The same tunes are piped into the rooms (very cool!). The lobby bar has craft cocktail menu and is a very comfortable place to lounge. There's also a semi-hidden listening room with a different playlist (not sure if this playlist is Memphis themed as well). There's also a fine dining restaurant attached called Bishop. It seems to be a french concept and it is excellent! It's an easy walk from the hotel to every downtown attraction -including Fedex Forum, Beale Street and the Civil Rights Museum. The rooms are huge (at least the one I was in)! High ceilings, large windows, the bathroom was almost the size of some hotels I've stayed in in NYC, LOL. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet -I don't think there were a lot of guests in the hotel while I was there though. I often find hotel staff to be smiley and courteous but inept where it matters most but at Central Station every staff member I encountered was courteous, knowledgeable and helpful (have to exclude housekeeping since there was no room cleaning due to COVID rules). There are a lot of hotels popping up in downtown Memphis recently and I had occasion to stay at another hotel during this visit (long story, don't ask). I'll review that property as well. That said I highly recommend Central Station."
"I stayed on the 8th floor and on day 1 saw a silverfish in the curtains and killed it. Day 2, I foud some ladybugs and was okay with that. Day 3, found a stinkbug in the room. When I went to the front desk, I let them know and they said they would take care of it. I came back that evening after working all day and the door to my room was open, but there was nobody inside. I checked to make sure none of my personal belongings were missing. Then I walked to the front desk and told them. They offered to have me change my room, which I declined. Then the maintenance guy came back to the room with me, checked it out, picked up all the dead bugs (they had sprayed) and apologized profusely. He could not have been more helpful, polite and apologetic. They added 2,000 points to my account and the front office was supposed to call me, but never did. The windows need to be sealed. Until they do that, they will continue to have bug issues. The rooms are small and better suited for a guy. there is no room in the bathroom to put your hairbrushes, makeup, etc. The do however have a really nice hotel gym with ropes, trx, jump box, cardio equipment, etc. It's also really spacious. The restaurant for breakfast served the same things every day and when I asked for a to go cup for my coffee, they said they were on order. The front desk staff was very nice and the hotel is quaint and cool in that it used to be a train station. However, they need to continue with their improvements."
"Enjoyed a long weekend stay in Memphis at this Hilton Curio. A unique hotel with modern conveniences in a historical building. Friendly greeting at check-in and throughout they stay by the staff. Stayed in a larger king corner room - high ceilings, large windows & great day & night views from the room. Some street noise off of Main Street. Convenient location to downtown Memphis, right on the trolley line. The on-site restaurant Bishop was great for breakfast and the hotel bar had great light options while enjoying a drink & music in the lobby. I’d definitely stay there on future trips to Memphis! "

"The Canopy by Hilton Memphis Downtown was recently opened in 2020, making it a fantastic choice for those staying in Memphis. With Memphis Amtrak Station just 1km away and West Memphis only 10km away, transportation is very convenient. Guests will find Mississippi River Museum at Mud Island, Cotton Exchange Building and Maury Ballenger Therapeutic Massage just a short distance from the hotel. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. This Memphis hotel offers parking on site. "

"River Inn of Harbor Town was such a pleasant surprise in Memphis, TN. Instead of staying at The Peabody in downtown Memphis recommended by a few friends who have family in the city, I've chosen to stay in the River Inn of Harbor Town on Mud Island, five to 10 minutes by car from the busy Beale Street. I chose this boutique hotel with only 28 rooms housed in two different buildings because it's won the Conde Nast Traveler Reader's Choice Award as the number-one hotel of the South. From my research, I also liked the fact that Harbor Town is a safe, upscale new urbanist-style residential neighbourhood with younger, more affluent Memphians. From reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, I also liked the numerous positive reports of the hotel's geographical position facing the Mississippi River. My four-night stay at this tiny jewel hotel in the little oasis just outside the main business district downtown was such a delight! Voted by USA Today's 10Best.com as one of the 10 best places to travel to in the U.S., Harbor Town itself is a charming destination with joggers, dog walkers, and river watchers along the trails of the Mississippi River just across the street from the hotel I picked a room with a river view and was already charmed by the first night of sunset along the river banks. The hotel is enchanting with its old-world charm - a lobby with a fireplace, a vintage-style crystal chandelier, and hard-wood floors with rugs and paintings of trees along the river banks. I particularly liked the welcome champagne/wine hospitality and the roll-down service every night with a glass of port and chocolate truffle. Because it's a boutique hotel, there were only a few staff members who were all very friendly and helpful and I can remember them all by names. I would particularly like to thank Front Desk Manager Amy Nguyen who went above and beyond to make sure that my Lyft rides to and from Beale Street were safe. She offered me her cell phone number and asked me to share my route (a security measure on the Lyft app) with her even though she's already resting at home after her shift. She also texted me to make sure that I got back to the hotel safely. I did the same thing with her when I checked out and left for the airport. My standard Queen room was small but charming with a four-poster bed and a river view. The closet was big enough with a lot of hangars for my clothes for the four days. The shower pressure in the bath tub was strong with quality toiletries from Gilchrist and Soames from London, U.K. I usually like a kettle in my room for drinking hot water in the morning before breakfast and the hotel staff went above and beyond to get me one the first morning when I was there. The bathroom tiles and walls looked a bit tired and probably need a facelift of some sort. I would also have preferred the room floors to be wooden instead of carpets. But overall, I thought the room rate including breakfast was good value for money. I also liked the library-sty"
"We have stayed at the River Inn MANY times over the last 10 years and each visit is absolutely wonderful! It begins the moment we make our reservations. Mehri goes out of her way to ensure we are well taken care each and every stay! We are greeted upon check in by such a pleasant staff ... Taylor, Amy, ... THE BEST! They ensure our entire stay is A++. Our rooms are always sparkling clean, orderly and stocked with plenty of towels and fabulous bath amenities. Dora and Maya are a part of a hardworking and friendly housekeeping team and they go out of their way to make our stay exceptional and provide excellent service. Lisa does a fabulous job keeping everyone on the housekeeping team organized. We could not ask for more! Guests enjoy the most delicious breakfast each morning. Arek is our favorite server! Each morning he makes sure we have our favorite things even before we ask ... yummy muffins, hot tea, fresh orange juice .... :-) The food at Paulette's is outstanding and well worth a dining experience. We are frequent diners ... we love it and have recommended it to many of our friends ... they all agree!!! Staying at The River Inn is exceptional and you will not be disappointed!!!! We look forward to our next visit! THANK YOU River Inn Staff! The Hopp's, St. Louis, Missouri"
"When our spring break plans had to be cancelled, we booked a weekend at the River Inn. It was a dream stress-free getaway. Karl Friedrich, the General Manager, seemed to be around every corner. Each detail was impeccable. Cheerful front desk, attractive tiled stairway for when we wanted to skip the elevator, fire in lobby, roses everywhere. We booked a dinner at Paulette’s & it was divine, with a river view. We had appetizers upstairs at the Terrace with another stunning river view. Even breakfast (included for 2) had a river view! The room and bath were luscious. Living room with working has fireplace. Truly, we wanted to move in. Housekeeping was lovely and accommodating to our schedule and needs. Chocolates and port wine surprised us at turndown. After a weekend at The River Inn, my husband & I were recharged & refreshed. Could not have improved upon our experience. Weather was dreary and cloudy and we still had a great time. Neighborhood is very walkable & a manicure/pedicure was down the street. Massage shop was a couple of doors down & a gourmet grocery on the corner. Beautiful & fun!"

"I've been to this hotel 3 times over the last year. Every time I check in, I'm welcomed by the friendly staff. During my most current trip, I ordered room service for the first time. Yolanda took my order perfectly and Angel delivered my food perfectly - she went above and beyond during our transaction. The team here is so accommodating and does everything with a smile. I travel too much, but if I had a place I actually look forward to staying at, it is The Westin Beale Street. I'll be back."
"Diane, Manny and Vinny took care of my family with wonderful service! They had hospitality and great spirits about their job! It was very welcoming to have them serve my family! I will visit them every time I am in the area! GREAT JOB TEAM!!!!!"
"Vinny was super nice and energetic. It was very nice after a long day at work. Service is always excellent when I visit the Westin here in Memphis. Make him the Marriot Man of the Year. Woohooo"

"We had to make a cross country trip after the unexpected death of my father and just needed a place to spend the night. We conveniently booked through our Bonvoy account and were met with a warm welcome. COVID reminders and precautions were in full force. Hand sanitizer readily accessible and the provisions store was expanded to increase variety for eating. The restaurant and concierge lounge are closed but a brown bag breakfast of apple, granola bar, water, and coffee was an easy and welcome alternative. The Marriott Beautyrest Hospitality mattress may be the best in the industry! Thanks for a much-needed respite."
"We arrived and the staff were very helpful. The facilities look very nice. We had a late checkout. My room was nice. I enjoyed the pool and hot tub. No need to bring a towel to the pool as they have towels supplied near the pool. The fitness room is open 24 hours. I didn't take advantage of that this trip. But if I stay there again I will plan to workout in the fitness center."
"We choose this Hotel because it was the location of the start of our American Queen riverboat cruise. The hotel staff is very helpful and the rooms are fine. The trolley is located right outside the door but does not run very often. This Hotel is not near most attractions, so if you want to be close try staying near Beale street."

"This hotel online looks MUCH different in person than the advertised pictures. I wish I would’ve read the bad reviews first but generally when a hotel has a 4/5 rating I don’t worry too much. I was wrong. The location is horrible. It’s unsafe. You have to scan your card to get in through the bulletproof glass. That’s a red flag there. I was worried about my car all night long. Lots of vagrant foot traffic. When we walked into the room it had a HORRIBLE smell. I can’t even describe the smell because it’s unlike anything I’ve ever smelled before. It actually made me light headed and wobbly to stand. After awhile it went away but I have a feeling my daughter & I were breathing something horrible in all night. Only reason we didn’t pack up and leave was because it was past 10 at night, we just finished a 14 hour drive, & I didn’t feel safe leaving the room even to communicate with the staff. I didn’t feel comfortable with the staff & all the reviews stated they were combative if you reported anything. So we stayed in the room. There was black mold in the bathroom. You can tell the room was lazily cleaned. It didn’t feel clean. The drawer between the two queen beds did not close. It stayed open so we had to prop a suitcase against it so we wouldn’t accidentally hit it getting out of bed. The toilet was stained black on the inside. The decor was outdated. The only semi nice thing about the room was the beds. They were comfortable and had soft pillows. But my sheets had a dark stain. In the morning before we left we didn’t bother with breakfast we were just ready to get out of there ASAP. Only positive was Linda (morning staff). She was very sweet but busy trying to run breakfast. So we had to wait a bit to even be checked out. She apologized & it was fine but we just wanted to leave. I’ve seen the replies to the bad reviews from the management of this property. Please don’t even try to respond to my complaints. They are true & I don’t want to hear how they aren’t or how it’s newly renovated or redecorated. It’s not inviting or pleasing to look at. Also- your doors don’t feel safe within a chain latch & the fact we can hear everyone through the walls and in the hallway isn’t helpful. I don’t recommend nor will I ever stay here again. I will be paying closer attention to reviews from now on."
"We called Best Western and decided to stay here on our way back home from spring break. The lobby was beautiful and smelled wonderful! Delightful young woman at checkin. Nice, spacious room with 2 comfortable queen beds. I asked for extra pillows and got them. (they were warm which has never happened) I loved it! The air conditioning was great and was able to adjust it because we like sleeping in a cooler room at night. The breakfast bar was beautiful! Delicious, hot food with a awesome variety. It went far and beyond what you expect from a hotel. Because it was so delicious and beautiful I had to take pictures and tell the ladies at the front desk how awesome it was which includes them. Great overnight stay!"
"Loved it! Check in was fast and easy! Love the perks of being a Diamond Rewards member! Love my snack and beverage bag especially after a long flight or long drive!! Friendly and knowledgeable staff is the reason why we only stay at BW Plus when we are away from home!!"
