The first stay at Kahala hotel and resort Yokohama. The building is sophisticated and clean and the staff are very friendly, professional, so they are wonderful. I've never stayed at Kahala in Hawaii but this hotel is good enough to feel Hawaii. 初めての宿泊でした。建物がキレイで洗練されていたので、部屋もアメニティ類も素晴らしかったです。特に良かったのはスタッフの方々で、フレンドリーでいつも声掛けをしてくださり、仕事は完璧でした。

This is new property, it has been barely a year after being opened We were impressed contemporary, modern stylish room (love the very comfy bed and automated curtain and blind as you enter at the corner king room ) , Spacious sophisticated club lounge ( all platinum ,titanium and ambassador elite member , this is one of the best lounge I have been to among all properties, not just Japan!) not forgetting great atmosphere and view from highest floor where checking desk is located I have stayed many Marriott properties for years and several properties in Japan by now , among all properties in Japan, this is the absolutely place to be back in Tokyo area Despite the location, not located in middle of Tokyo, still easy access and average 20 to 40min train ride from Tokyo to Yokohama where hotel is located After seeing or staying the property, many will not mind for the train ride. As you might know, it is norm to take train or subway 30 min ride everyday within Tokyo that has been well developed and spread wide range At last, I like to thank you to Ms. Inui who has taken care of checking in and out at club lounge, she is sincere and attentive I have a minor issue on service, but she did communicate well and it did not bother me much after all I believe they will improve service much more in future We had great 3 nights stay at the Brand New Westin in Japan

Just enjoyed our first weekend at your new location in Yokohama. The entire stay was wonderful but I wanted to point out an amazing employee you have at the Kissui-sen restaurant. Her name is Tiana Zhang I believe. She was incredibly helpful and helped us with all the menu items and recommended a dish of Beef Cheek that I would have never tried but would up being my favorite item. Just a wonderful young lady and she wanted to ensure we memorable dining experience. The only odd thing was having to pay extra to use the pool. You’d think booking a suite for 2 nights for over 200000 yen would include a swim. Never seen that at other Westin locations around the world.

The Intercontinental Yokohama Pier 8 is part of the Cruise Terminal Complex ”Yokohama Hammerhead”. If you are familiar with Cup Noodle museum, then it's right behind it. It's also a short 10 minute walk from the other Intercontinental: Yokohama Grand. The closest stations for both these hotels is the Minatomirai station on the Minatomirai line. If you are coming by JR, the closet station is Sakuragi-cho on the Keihin-Touhoku line and from there about a 15 to 20 minute walk to Yokohama Grand and a further 10 minutes to Pier 8. From the Hammerhead, you can clearly see the iconic fin shaped Intercontinental Yokohama Grand. It's in a good location with shops and restaurants in Yokohama Hammerhead, Marine & Walk and the famous Red Brick warehouse. The hotel is a rectangle building with an open area in the middle (garden) of the building from level 3. The ”outside” rooms are the City and Bay View rooms while the ”inside” rooms are the Garden View rooms. There's also a rooftop garden where you have a great view overlooking the bay and can just sit and relax in the sun. The staff were exceptional and the rooms amazing. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

Having stayed the second time within one year the outstanding service didn’t change since our last visit. Everybody is very polite and kind. The rooms are excellent and are offering a superb view. Even though the hotel is fully booked today we never had the feeling of a crowded hotel. The rooms doesn’t miss any amenities. You always feel very valued and everybody remarkably attentive. I would like to mention here the rooms assistant manager, Mr. Watanabe offering perfect services as this might be the only chance to get his superb work to the attention of his general manager. I would like to thank the entire staff for their efforts having taken care about us. We certainly will come back

Reviews From Real Travelers
We booked a Standard Double Room and were upgraded to a Club King as Bonvoy Platinum members. Our first impressions of the hotel were big, beautiful, convenient, but with minimal and stingy service. The Club King room was very nice, modern, quite large with a sofa and desk, and spacious bath. And very clean with lots of amenities. Bed was excellent. Location is very good with direct access to the station, shops, restaurants, and Takashimaya Department Store. Platinum Elite members can check in at the Club Lounge. The lounge is not too large, and I imagine it being very busy on weekends or holidays. Refreshments throughout the day are extremely minimal, just drinks and very light snacks like cookies and crackers (I would definitely not describe this as ”afternoon hors d’oeuvres” as stated on their website). The evening cocktail service is a bit more expansive with salad, 4-5 hot dishes, and dessert. I requested something vegetarian as there was nothing besides salad, and they were able to prepare a steamed vegetable plate and tiny fruit plate which were delicious but not filling, and nothing compared to the regular options available. When asked if it might be possible to prepare a main dish (something with more carbs), I was told they could either give me plain white rice or plain penne pasta with no sauce, I was told to add salt and pepper for flavor. Seriously? Would anyone feel pleased with such an offering? I obviously refused, and was left with a bitter feeling for the rest of our stay. Note that this property does not acknowledge the Marriott Platinum “Guaranteed 4 p.m. Late Checkout” benefit. We stayed on a Sunday, checking out the following Monday (not a holiday, and definitely not a peak day) but were denied late check out, only given 1:00. For a previous reservation, once again checking out on a non-peak Monday, we were also completely denied late check out (only standard 12:00 check out). To the Management of the Yokohama Bay Sheraton Hotel & Towers, I have a simple question, do you offer 4 p.m. late check-out to your Platinum Members? This is a major deciding factor for Platinum Members in choosing your hotel. Breakfast was not available in the Club Lounge, but in the buffet restaurant Compass. (Another clear indication that the Club Floor was not very busy, so why no late check out?) Breakfast here was nice, not an expansive selection, but a decent selection of both Japanese and Western dishes (but few or no vegetarian options). The orange juicer machine was especially good. Overall, this is a very nice hotel, but it does not feel like a Sheraton property as they deny Bonvoy Elite benefits when they see fit, and the service is not that of an international hotel. Elite Members are not treated as such. It feels more like a Japanese hotel that’s a step or two behind international standards. I really hope things improve as the hotel itself is very nice and we’d like to visit Yokohama again soon.

Unlike other hotels in the area, Shareton is connected to the mazes of shops, NEWoMan plaza & Yokohama Station. You can walk through all of this and more without stepping outside AND thee are many ”roof gardens” and scenery if you would like some fresh air...AWESOME!!

The Regency Club staff at this hotel are some of the best in the industry. Staff that made our 15 night stay feel like home: Shoko, Risako, Chiaki, Shelley, Futoshi, Bianca, Mizuki, Hsegawa and some others but unfortunately I didn't get their names. They helped me with all me needs and questions including helping me with reservations and travel plans. They all speak English and are super patient with families. The rooms are super clean and modern. Housekeeping is amazing and made sure our baby diaper pail was changed each day and every inch of our room was clean. I opted for a suite which had an amazing bathroom with a super big tub. The blinds are automatic and the views are great. Breakfast buffet had so many choices and was so good. Hotel is 2 blocks from an amazing waterfront park and a 10 minute walk to Yokohama Stadium. 5 minute walk to Chinatown as well. The train is also less than a 5 minute walk and there is a 24 hour Lawson right across the street. Oh yea, a really special thanks to the bell-woman who waited with my luggage across the street in front of Lawson with the taxi while I ran back to my room after realizing I forgot my phone in the room after checking out.

Over many years I have stayed in many western hotels in Yokohama. Most have been fine, but the service, cleanliness and location of the Hyatt were all excellent. I was especially impressed with the customer service - very friendly and helpful staff, even for sudden requests.

■ View bus Luxury Ocean twin Bay View Room The room with a clean can has a large window and a balcony. The view from the room, the balcony is the bay bridge, the Ferris wheel is visible. The bathtub and shower room are separate 々, so you can take a bath time slowly. The night view of the Ferris wheel with the bathroom was also very beautiful. Breakfast is surrounded by palm trees and a buffet style restaurant with a southern atmosphere. There were many items and it was delicious. This time, the prefectural people were applied and we were able to stay at a reasonable price. The front desk staff was also very good. # Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu # Night View # Sakuragi Cho # Hetare Oji's travel repo

It’s been over a year since our family of four travelled to Yokohama due to COVID. We were quite impressed with the lobby and friendly service upon arrival. Check-in at 2pm is nice and allows time to check out the city and eat your way through Chinatown (couple minutes walk!). It was our children’s nap time so we got settled into the room. In Japan there are hotels at which the a/c only blows warm/hot air during the winter months. We’ve been through this once before at a hotel in Karuizawa and had a horrible night’s sleep. After almost 2 hours of not being able to nap and the kids getting cranky due to the heated stuffiness of the room, we decided to just check out, cut our trip short to return home, and likely eat the cost of the room. However upon hearing of our wish to check out, the front desk was more than accommodating and offered two separate rooms to choose from - both with actual cool air conditioning. Deputy Director Mr. Takaki Seto especially was beyond helpful and understanding of the need for our two small children to be comfortable. The new room was perfect and the a/c worked great. After the nice stay on the day of check-out, we were about to leave our room, but my wife discovered she had misplaced a very important sentimental ring. We spent an hour looking in the room for it to no avail. Our son had the brilliant idea to check the other room we were in for the two hours the day before. Mr. Takaki Seto not only let us back in the room but personally helped us search for 20 minutes. When we couldn’t find it, he called the front desk to check if the cleaning staff had found anything. They had! Only in Japan. The irreplaceable ring was returned. We gave our effusive apologies to Mr. Takaki Seto for his troubles yet he apologized for our worry. His kindness was amazing and we thank him again. Can’t say enough great things about the quality of hotel and the superb location. More importantly, the staff went well above and beyond. 5/5 and would definitely recommend!

Our stay at the Hotel New Grand was wonderful! If you are into history, I urge you to read a little bit about its historic roots, and walk around the hotel to see some of the small exhibits. The hotel is elegant and beautiful. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff was so welcoming and helpful from the minute we stepped in the door, making sure we had everything we needed and answering any questions about restaurants and things nearby. Absolutely top notch! We did not try the hotel breakfast, but instead walked (4 minutes) to A Happy Pancake for fluffy souffle pancakes - if you're wanting to try souffle pancakes, this location was wonderful and had no wait in the morning. We stayed here for a night before a cruise, and walked from the Hotel New Grand to Osanbashi Terminal. The walk was not very long, definitely doable for in-shape people, although be prepared for uneven surfaces which makes lugging multiple bags a challenge. We were sweating by the time we arrived at the pier, but did not regret the walk. We had a lovely view, and I watched the cruise ship pull into the pier in the morning, how spectacular! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Yokohama!
