Ulitsa Maksima Gorkogo 121, Nizhny Novgorod, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia
"The hotel is located in the city center on Maxim Gorky Street within walking distance of the pedestrian Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street with a large number of cafes and restaurants. My room was large in size with an armchair and floor lamp, and a large comfortable work area with power outlets and a TV. There was a minibar in the room, on request they bring an ironing board with an iron. The bathroom has a shower cubicle and a complete set of cosmetic accessories. A separate story deserves a spa zone, which is free for hotel guests. A bathrobe and towels are issued here, there is a phytobar where you can pour black tea with thyme or green tea with mint for free, and also have jam. There is a large round hot tub, a sauna, a small Russian bathhouse, and a very hot hammam with a large table. There is also a relaxation room with a salt insert on the wall and a heated stone bed. There is a small pool in which you can do 4-5 strokes, as well as a vertical waterfall, and a cabin with a rain shower. Overall excellent value for money. Was not at breakfast, the cost of breakfast is 900 rubles."
"Location is great, close to every thing and shops near by. The staff are excellent, very helpful and really try to overcome some of the hotel flaws. Breakfast has some nice choices, but we got some really rotten pineapples, so i would check before eating. But in general breakfast was nice. Big and comfy room, except AC that didn't work and curtains that doesn't block the sun in the morning. The AC wasn't working in the room. The reception said that it is seasonal issue, and they turn on the AC only when the heating of the building is off. It was a bit hot in the room, need to open the windows.. Strange, for an hotel like this. In the breakfast, some of the veggies wasn't looking very fresh, and when i tried a peace of pineapple, i understood why. It was really really bad. Although when i addressed this to the waiter they immediately replaced every thing, but still.. bad food? The curtains in the room does not block the light in the morning completely. Wake-up early on is complementary! The hot-tub in the wellness area has cold water in it for some reason... and only 3 beds you can relax on."
"Having lived in Nizhny Novgorod in the 1990s, it is hard to imagine the choices of hotels available today. Kulibin Park is well located, just off of Gor'ky Street about 10 minutes' walk from Gor'ky Square or Bol'shaya Pokrovskaya. It's a quick bus ride to almost anywhere in the city and 5 minutes' walk from the Gor'kovskaya Metro station (1 stop from the train station across the river). The hotel is well appointed and the service was excellent. The quality of everything was very high. Breakfast was nice, varied, and the service very good. My only modest problem was that the air conditioning didn't seem to work very well (it was an unusually hot couple of days). Highly recommend."
