"As usual, we had planned to stay overnight at a hotel for NYE. We have been to the Holiday Inn Express before, and like the pool and hot tub. I made a reservation, and we set out on 12/31. When we arrived, there was a note that the desk attendant was covering a maintenance issue and would be right back. About 5 minutes later, he arrived with a plunger. Not a good sign- already showed that they were lacking staff. As I checked in, more people arrived (one carrying a large sheet pizza!) and a small line formed. We were given our key and went to our room- which turned out to be an adjoining room, which I did not ask for. I checked the door to make sure it locked on both sides, and it did. We had ordered food, which after a while, my husband left to pick up. He met a "friendly" woman in the elevator, who told him to come to the pool, "just bring your alcohol in a solo cup, and of course reefer!". He passed, and immediately called and told me he didn't think the pool would be on our to do list that night. He got the food, came back and checked the pool, which was full of people around the pool deck, eating and drinking. Not family friendly. We went back a couple of hours later, and again, the same situation. Not sure why this was allowed, but it seemed to be tolerated- most likely lack of staff. We ate in our room, played games and watched the ball drop. As the night grew on, we were aware that the room beside us had smaller kids and they were very into trying to get the door between us open. Never once did we hear anyone tell them to stop, so they continued. Once it was midnight, we started to wind down, but the neighbors just warmed up. They yelled, shouted, ran, banged all around, even sounded like they were jumping on the beds. Every once in a while they would shout very loudly. The kid constantly yelled all his words and it was maddening. We tried to sleep, but it was rough. I must've fallen asleep because at 3:15, I was woken up to a huge bang, and a loud shout. I could tell the kid was playing with the door again, because I kept hearing the metal door latching, which was super unnerving to my daughter. When you're sleeping, someone breaking into your room is not a comforting sound. Finally, my husband had had enough, and called the front desk. About 20 minutes later, we heard their room phone ring, we hope it was the front desk. However, the sounds continued. We contemplated leaving, but were too tired to drive, so we stayed. We knew calling the front desk again would obviously do nothing, so we suffered. We left without the continental breakfast, and hit McDonalds on our way home. Needless to say, we will need to reconsider staying there again, and definitely not on New Year's Eve. It's sad, since we have had good timed there in the past, in fact, I may have reviewed it before. So upsetting that grown ups can think behavior like that is appropriate, letting their kid yell, all night and even more so, play with the door lock! I am very sad with"
"I had a problem with the hotel across the street and the Holliday Inn in Milford MA was able to get me a room for me and my 3 kids last minute with all the things I was looking for. The price was also affordable and the staff was friendly as good be! They had their indoor pool open, free breakfast and the cleanliness was superb! I will definitely be back in the future!"
"Shuna & Jenny are so awesome, everything from start to finish is handled so professionally, yet you feel like family when you stay, they accommodate and love our dog as well. There is a new girl in the kitchen named Amanda, she does a great job keeping it clean and the food tasty! This hotel is ALWAYS immaculate! 5*'s Thank you all. Sue & Dave Tabone"
