Reviews From Real Travelers
I stayed at this hotel for two nights because I wanted to experience the old atmosphere of Cairo and the scent of Islam. The valuable location, the building, and the atmosphere of the room were just as I imagined, and I'm glad I chose it. Furthermore, the staff's service was better than I expected, and everyone was very nice, including Atala, who was security at the entrance, Sabri at the front desk, and Abdallah, who looked after the rooms and other facilities! The rooftop restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, and you can choose where to sit for dinner and breakfast. There are three set meals for breakfast, and the ”Country” I had on the second day was a thin baked pie topped with syrup made from honey and bean powder (this is my own analysis, so I'm sorry if it's wrong). There were two negative opinions. Noise and access by car. ・The building is made of wood, so you can certainly hear the sounds from the next room and the upper floors, the hustle and bustle outside, and the music from the neighbors at dinner time. There are new earplugs by the bedside. Personally, I went there to experience these things and I can sleep without any problems, so it wasn't a problem, but if I have one piece of advice, the 4th floor has a restaurant on the upper floor, so you can hear footsteps and chairs being pulled. If you want to avoid that, I recommend requesting the 2nd or 3rd floor. -It's true that the area is a traffic control area where cars can't enter, and when I arrived in the evening, there were people and store delivery vehicles, so it was difficult for taxis to enter. I got off the taxi on a major road nearby and walked 6-7 minutes with my hand carry bag, and on the way back, I called an Uber from the main road as well. However, there are few people on the road until early afternoon. When I asked the hotel, they said that if you want to access by car because you have a lot of luggage, etc., you should consult in advance.

The Mena House's views and location are truly unbeatable, one of a kind in the world. You can only fully experience the pyramids from sunrise, midday, to sunset by staying here. As night falls, without the pyramid lights, they appear exceptionally serene and mysterious, framed by the hotel's lights and palm trees. This is an experience that simply can't be replicated by just visiting for a quick photo. The hotel also carries immense historical significance. The Cairo Conference was signed here, and photos of the 'Big Three' from that era hang on the walls, full of historical resonance. For me, paying for this unique scenery and historical ambiance was absolutely worth it; I have no regrets. However, frankly speaking, the hotel's amenities, service, and attention to detail absolutely do not match its price (you're paying for the location, not the service). The hairdryer has weak power, leaving my hair dry and frizzy at the ends. The toiletries, especially the toothpaste, are of poor quality, like a product without any brand or quality assurance. There's only one type of pillow, and it's so soft it offers no support whatsoever. After one night, my neck was aching – not what you'd expect from a high-end hotel. The restaurant experience was also terrible: I ordered soup, and it was served without a spoon. I couldn't find one anywhere, and by the time the waiter brought one, the soup was completely cold. The restaurant staff would even specifically ask if everything was satisfactory, but by then, complaining felt pointless, so I could only say 'it's fine.' What was even more unsettling was the fake, superficial service. When I genuinely needed help or efficiency, no one was around. When checking out, my suitcase had spinner wheels and was very easy to push, but a staff member insisted on 'helping' with it, performing this kind of meaningless, superficial gesture. In summary: Staying here means paying for the pyramid views and the historical sentiment, not for comfort and service. Those who value scenery and historical significance might find it acceptable, but anyone seeking genuine service quality and a premium lodging experience will definitely be disappointed.

We stayed in a suite and the room was spacious, clean, and tidy. The service was quite enthusiastic. Since our flight was at night, they even let us use the executive lounge after checkout, which was very thoughtful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

It was the first accommodation on a trip with a child. I had to check in early due to flight time, but it took more than an hour to check in. The speed and response to check in were a bit insufficient. Drinks ordered in the lobby were provided free of charge during check-in. The carpet in the hotel was stained and dirty. The service was generally okay, and I didn't like the cleanliness of the hotel. It was nice to have an ATM machine next to the reception on the first floor. Room service is generally okay, and it's just that for Korean tastes. The location is close to the city, but it's not easy to walk to Tahrir Square. Because you have to cross the big street.

Reviews From Real Travelers
I’ve stayed at St. Regis hotels in many countries, but this one is hands down the worst. It might just be that the general hospitality quality in Egypt is lower. Photos don't lie: Upon entering the room, I found a piece of used soap left in the shower. This is absolutely unacceptable for a luxury brand. Terrible service: The female chef at the egg station during breakfast was extremely rude—I’ve never experienced such an attitude at any hotel before. I reported this to a manager before leaving the restaurant, but there was no follow-up whatsoever. Unprofessional staff: Compared to other St. Regis properties, the staff here lack basic politeness. The Concierge was particularly unhelpful and provided inaccurate information. They recommended the hotel's Egyptian restaurant but failed to mention it only had outdoor seating. It was freezing cold, and there was no indoor option. After being sent back and forth between floors and being told the restaurant wasn't even open yet, we were finally tucked away in a buffet corner to eat. To top it off, the food was mediocre at best.

Excellent location with plenty of amenities nearby. The room was spacious and bright, and the cleanliness was top-notch. Service was prompt and responsive. Overall, it felt cozy and comfortable, giving me a real sense of security during my stay. Definitely recommend it to everyone. The breakfast was delicious!

It is not very convenient to take a taxi for half an hour from the attraction. I feel like there is nothing to eat around. But relatively safe, it is said to be a wealthy area. The facilities are nice, but a bit old Overall is very good, let us check in one hour early If you need to buy medicine, they will take the initiative to help run errands to buy, don't know if you want to tip
- ImogenShi
The service is very good, but this time the room on the first floor seems not as good-looking as the rooms I saw online, but the hygiene is very good. There was something wrong with the shower. Water came out from both the top and bottom and couldn't be turned off. And right outside the window is the swimming pool and dining table, which is a bit lively at night... Had lunch here and it tasted good

It was my daughter's 30th birthday and we stayed over at this hotel. The staff were superb and helped make my daughter's birthday so special. They gave us a upgrade suite and allowed offered complimentary late checkou which was amazing. Food is superb as well as cocktails. The lovely Huge celebration cake was superb. The petit chef experience on the Nile was superb and food was so delicious and big portions which I recommend to do. the hotel manager gave us a complimentary drink before walking us over to the boat and provided a car to pick us up after our. Meal on the boat.

The facilities are a bit older, the greeting guy outside and the parking attendant are very friendly, but the service in the hotel can only be said to be average.

My stay at the Ritz-Carlton by the Nile was thoroughly satisfying. The hotel's location is superb, offering stunning views of the calmly flowing Nile River right from my room window. The morning sun glistening on the water was absolutely captivating. Inside, the hotel boasts luxurious yet understated decor, with a spacious and bright lobby where the staff, always smiling, were ready to assist. The room was neat and clean, with comfortable bedding, and the bathroom facilities were complete and modern. Breakfast offered a wide variety, from local specialties to international dishes, all delicious. Dining on the terrace at night, with the river view and a gentle breeze, was incredibly pleasant. Overall, the service, ambiance, and location all made me feel right at home. Highly recommended.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious with a huge variety of fresh ingredients. On our third day, we had an early domestic flight and heard there would be long queues, so we skipped breakfast and the hotel prepared breakfast boxes for us. Turns out, there was no one at the airport, and I really regretted missing out! I wish breakfast started at 6 AM instead. Getting a taxi in Cairo is so easy to get ripped off; an Uber driver tried to charge me 1200 EGP, which was four times the 300 EGP quoted in the app. The bellboy at the entrance was very helpful and found me a car for 600 EGP, which was much more reasonable.

The hotel's environment and location are great. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk to the Old Egyptian Museum. However, when checking into the hotel, they charged my card at the coffee shop, which I found a bit odd... It essentially increased the room rate, which isn't very fair. Two nights for $580, and at that price, breakfast isn't even included. That's excessive!
- fokuhila
The hotel lobby is very luxurious, but the rooms feel a bit outdated. The Nile view is beautiful. What I really couldn't stand about this hotel was the creaking noise at night, either from the pipes or the elevator (my room was very close to it), which made it incredibly hard to fall asleep. Everything else was fine.

I was incredibly impressed not only by the stunning Nile view location but also by the excellent facilities and the professionalism of all the staff. The club lounge is the best I've ever experienced, especially thanks to MARYCRIS, who constantly looked after us and ensured we had a wonderful time without any issues.

The facilities are a bit old, but the service is still excellent. I arrived late and received a complimentary upgrade to a suite. The room faced the Nile River, offering a great view. The minibar was also free.

The room was so nice, cozy and clean. The view is spectacular. The room service is perfect. Everything was just very nuce. The only negative thing for me was the street noise. Would highly recommend if they can make sound proof windows. I was in the 11th floor and still I can hear every single sound in the street. Other than that , it’s perfect
- Guest User
Excellent location right on the Nile, with an infinity pool overlooking the river. The room was decent; while it can't compare to facilities in my home country, it's considered good for Egypt. Breakfast was standard. The main draw is definitely the location.
